Remember Me, Remember Our Love
Chapter One: Meetings Again.
3 years later...
In the bright morning sky, a plane flew across and made its decent into the runway. It's destination: Shinjuku Airport. As it's passengers left from the gate to retrieve their luggage, a male stepped out of the gate, with vibrant blue hair naturally darkened with black. His platinum colored eyes scanned the area in search for some people. Then, he found them.
"Onii-chan!"
"Lil' Bro!"
"Jianliang!"
The male smiled and made his way towards the small group of people. "Hey Mom, Dad, Xiaochun, Jialing, Lianjie." He said.
"Welcome back Jianliang!" The group responded, giving him a warm welcome-back hug.
Yes, this male was Li Jianliang, aka Li Jenrya. And he was back at age 16, as a Junior in the local Shinjuku High School. Little would he know, that his string of fate would lead him back to the person he left for the sake of that persons happiness. Would their meeting be nice? Would the mystery person remember him? Only time can tell how this will work out.
In the History Classroom in Shinjuku High...
"Yo Takato!" Hirokazu yelled.
"Huh? Oh! Good Morning Hirokazu-kun..." Takato replied, clearly unaware of his friends r
Hirokazu walked towards Takato's desk and stared at him. "What were you doing?"
"Ano... I was trying to remember the dream I had last night..." Takato replied, looking down at his desk in regret.
"Was it the same one...?" Hirokazu asked.
The brunette in front of him only nodded. It was slight, but it was a definite nod.
The high-energy filled teen sighed. It as the same dream. Takato saw somebody fill his whole dream, but the person was blurred. All he said was "Takato-kun." And then Hirokazu knew, Takato was trying to remember Jen. But with the Chinese male gone, there was nothing much he could do. Lucky for him, the bell rang and people made their way to their desks. Hirokazu patted the other brunette's shoulder as he went to his desk in the back if the classroom.
Their sensei entered as usual. "Good Morning class. I hope you had a wonderful weekend." She said as she took role. But today had a twist. "We have a transfer student today. He was from here originally, but he had to live in Hong Kong for a few years. Please make sure he feels right at home."
"Hai sensei..." The group said unenthusiastically.
"Sore ja, please come in!"
The sliding door opened as a male walked in. With short blue-black hair and a lean body, all of the girls took an interest to this unknown person. As he wrote his name in the board, Hirokazu recognized the lettering. His eyes widened when the male turned around and formally introduced himself.
"Konnichiwa. My name is Li Jenrya. I'll be in your class from today on. Please take care of me." He bowed and all of the students clapped him into the class.
"Wow! Hot and formal at the same time! How I'd love to go out with him!" Girls squealed."
"Now, let's see... Li-san, you can take the seat next to Matsuda-san. Takato-kun, please raise your hand."
Jen looked and spotted the light brown hair and the vibrant red eyes. His platinum colored eyes softened when he saw him again. After three years he looked fine. That was the only thing he asked for when he left Shinjuku. And it looks like it worked out after all.
He walked over the the empty seat next the the brunette and put on a friendly smile, without making it looked pained, and if he knew him from another time. "Please take care of me, Takato-kun." He said
Once again, crimson eyes met platinum ones and their strings if fate tried to reach each other, with no way to tie. There was a way for them to do that, but would they be able to realize that they need to find the missing fragment? The one piece to remember their love, to remember what they did together to save their Human World from dangers from the Digital World, to remember the strong bond they have...?
-Remember Our Love, Takato-kun...-
"So, Li-kun..." Takato started.
"You can just call me Jenrya. Or Jen if you'd like." Jen said with a small smile on his face.
"So, you were at Hong Kong for some time... But you were born here?" The brunette asked. The blue raven haired male nodded.
"I needed to be in my home country for some personal reasons, you could say. But I honestly can say that it's good to be back."
"Ha ha ha Takato! You're actually talking to the transfer kid!" Hirokazu said with a huge grin on his face. Out of the corner of his eye he knew Jen was looking at him.
"Heh... I guess so." Takato smiled slightly, but he looked confused at the same time.
Quickly Hirokazu knew that he needed to get Jen out of there. "Ah! Well, I volunteered to show the transfer kid throughout campus, so we'll be back. Later Takato! Li! Come on!" The hyper brunette waved goodbye to his friend, the blue raven haired male quickly behind his trail. Takato waved back, but something was tugging at the back of his mind.
'Do I... Know him...? Li Jenrya... Jen... Why does it sound... So familiar...'
Hirokazu and Jen were outside, sitting down on the concrete stairs by the track. Silence was the only thing between them, but they didn't exactly know what to say.
"Arigatou, Hirokazu-kun..." Jen said.
"For what?" Hirokazu asked, even though he knew the answer.
"For taking care of Takato-kun. I know, I shouldn't have left, but it looks like it was for the better. Even if we have to start from square one again, I'm fine with it... Because he won't remember what happened that day..."
"Well, you're shit outta luck Jen. Takato remembers you a little. He can't put a face together with a name, but he sees you in his dreams. There's a part of him trying to remember you. And no matter what you do, he will remember you. He will remember what you two went through with the D Reaper and with your relationship. And I know Takato. He won't hate you. You should've known him too. He's too kind to hate, and you're perfect to him. You were someone he looked up to, and he loved you a lot. So you can't give up. That's not what the Jen I know would do..."
Jen's eyes widened as he heard all of this new information. The love of his life that loved him and got hurt because of him was still trying to remember him. He was trying to remember HIM. With everything that went wrong, he was still trying. So that should mean that he shouldn't give up again. Not after what he did, leaving when his love was suffering all by his lonesome.
"Thanks Hirokazu-kun... I've finally realized... What I need to do."
The bell rang and the two teenagers got up from their sitting position. Hirokazu grinned and punched Jen in the shoulder. Hard. The blue haired raven winced, but smiled back. "It's good to have you back Jen."
"Thanks. It's good to be back, Hirokazu-kun."
-I Won't Leave Your Side Again, Takato...-
Jen opened the door to his apartment to see his whole family at the door.
"Well, this is strange. What's with the sudden greeting?" He asked lightly as he entered the apartment and took off his shoes for comfortable slippers. He knew it was because of that, but he just wanted to be sure it was because of THAT.
"Onii-chan had his first day of school in the same district as Takato! How was it?" Xiaochun asked when her older brother joined the family as they headed for the dining room table full of traditional foods like steamed bun and dim sum.
"It was fine. I'm in the same classes as Takato now." Jen replied as he picked up his chopsticks. The room became silent as everyone stared in shock.
"You saw Takato? A-are you doing well, Jianliang?" Jialing asked doubtfully.
"Of course it was fine. It was just like how things were when we were in fifth grade. A new meeting. I'm just the new transfer student to him. But it looks like he's doing well."
The rest of the Li family stayed silent. Their second to youngest child was casually talking about this situation, even though he left the country to get away from his lover who lost his memories of everything they had.
"Look Jianliang... If you want, we can transfer you to another school..." Jen's mom said.
"No, it's fine mother. I... I'm not going to give him up again." All Li members looked up in shock once again, but it quickly turned into expressions of happiness.
"What happened Lil' Bro? I thought you wanted Takato to forget about you..." Lianjie said, as if speaking everyone's thoughts as if that moment.
"Well, there's nothing much I can do if Takato's trying to remember me... Today Hirokazu-kun told me that Takato dreams about me, but doesn't know who I am. He's still trying to hold on to something we had long ago, that I gave up on. But it's something I want even now. So... I can't give up in him. I won't leave his side. But I won't do anything until the Takato I know and loved comes back to me. Until then, I'll be the transfer student that sits next to him in class. I'll be that classmate that doesn't know a thing about him. And I hope... Truly... That Takato regains his memories." Jen said. The look in his platinum colored eyes shown with determination, with newfound resolve.
"As long as you know what you're doing, and this is truly what you want, will support you all the way, my son." Mr. Li said, a nod of approval given towards his youngest son. This was a start from what happened three years ago. This made him truly happy. The love that was so true, and something that made his son seem very happy, he wanted something to do with it again, and he wanted to be with that person once again, even if his memories didn't come back.
It was time to inform the Matsuda's about this new development, so then the road to happiness could be planned, and the great tragedy of Takato and Jen would come to a Happy Ending.
"Hai. Matsuda Bakery, how may I help you?" Mrs. Matsuda said.
"Konnichiwa Mrs. Matsuda. This is Jenrya's father speaking."
"Oh my! Konnichiwa Mr. Li!"
"I've called to inform you of what my son has just told me and my family. He's been transferred into Takato's class today. Takato still thinks he's just a transfer student from Hong Kong, but a friend of Takato's Hirokazu-kun told Jianliang today that Takato's still trying to remember Jianliang. So... He's decided he's not going to give up on Takato and the love they had. He wants Takato to remember all they had, so they can make more for the future. I'm not sure if you'll still accept my son as your son's lover, but that is all I enter to inform you about. If there's anything , please don't hesitate to call back."
This phone call left Mrs. Matsuda in shock. Her son wanted to still be with Jenrya. The person that made him truly happy. That made her overjoyed. "H-honey! We need to talk!" She hollered to her husband in the kitchen.
"Yes honey! What's wrong?" Mr. Matsuda came out of the kitchen, flour covering some parts of his clothing and face.
"Mr. Li called just now. Jenrya came back today, and he doesn't want to give up on the love he had with Takato. The dreams Takato's been having these years... He's been trying to remember Jenrya. I think... This is a sign." Mrs. Matsuda said.
"What do you think we need to do? Takato's regained almost all of his memory now. What else can we do?" Mr. Matsuda said, looking confused.
"We start taking Takato to the places he frequented with Jenrya with... It's about time we jump start his memory a little. I don't think anyone else will make Takato happy the way Jenrya does. I want our son to be as happy as he can be, and I think Jenrya is the only person who can make him that happy. What do you think honey?" Mrs. Matsuda said.
After a long thought, Mr. Matsuda nodded in agreement. "That is true. And I really trust Jenrya. I believe he would never treat him wrong. I always said I'd accept him as a son in law if needed be, and that still stays. Let's do it honey."
Mrs. Matsuda smiled and nodded. "I'll inform the Li's of what we're going to do."
Mr. Matsuda nodded. For Takato, he'll do this, and because that love was true and happy, he'll do anything to keep his son happy and make him remember that eternal happiness. No matter what it takes. That... Was the promise he made. To his son. To Jenrya. To his wife. To the Li family. And Mr. Matsuda was going to make sure that his son remembered. 'Remember that love Takato. Remember Jenrya, and everything you two did together.'
