A/N: There was a bit of a delay due to multiple things such as writing and developing my other stories, Monitor and Observe ain't really at the top of my priority list, in fact, it's in the bottom
But anyways, here's the chapter, hope you like it
Also, do not, I have taken the reaction material from the original iteration of this story which was made in 2021, back when I was still not that much knowledgeable in grammar as I am now, so you might notice the difference in quality. Frankly, I did minimal edits from it, so the difference would probably still be there
That is, if you care about the reaction material, i.e. the video they're watching, I know I wouldn't, I will just read it to try and find out what the characters are reacting at and focus more on the reactions itself
"Summer." Qrow said as soon as he went out the door of the cinema room "Did you find something?"
"Yes, a lot of things, like how the whole area now has extra hallways and doors now." Summer said before she pointed behind her to a door parallel to the theater "Just like this one."
"... Aight, the fuck?" Qrow said after being silent for a moment and then he looked around the hallway to see two extra openings on the right and two more on the left "This is the same hallway as before, right?"
Usually, Summer would've warned Qrow to not curse but frankly, she feels like cursing as well "I mean, yeah… Let's try opening one of the doors on the end of the hallway, Raven, with me on the left and you two on the right."
Raven and Taiyang who was behind Qrow nodded along with Qrow himself before Summer went towards the left of the hallway with Raven on her side
And then, as soon as they reached the door, Raven went past Summer and kicked the door
*Bam*
"Damnit, I forgot…" Raven muttered to herself as her foot merely bounces from the door
Summer's eyes widened, she tried used her semblance to speed herself up but when there was no response, she remembered that she had no aura or semblance as it was somehow 'disabled'
After realizing this, she just used her own speed to reach the door and twisted the knob before kicking the door opened
As soon as she felt her foot making contact, she let go of the knob and rebalanced herself as soon as possible before she stick herself to the wall perpendicular to the door and Raven doing the same on the opposite side of her
But upon noticing nothing coming out of the door, Summer peeked inside and was shocked
She was shocked not because she saw someone, but she saw two doors on the wall in front of them, i.e. parallel to the door they're on
Not only that, but upon inspecting the whole room, she saw two more openings on the right and on the left of the room, and doors inside of that openings which are presumably more hallways
But other than that, the room is practically identical to the room they were originally trapped in
"This room… Also changed." Summer said particularly to no one
Whoever their host or hosts are… Definitely has something up their sleeves to do something like this without a single noise and in such a short period of time
"Unfortunately, this is no time for idling around." A distorted voice is once again heard coming from what seems like everywhere
And then suddenly, they found themselves back at the theater in the seats they were before
"What the heck!?" Qrow suddenly shouted in surprise, he wasn't the only one as the rest of team STRQ was surprised with him
Ozpin was relatively unfazed, did he even move from his spot from before?
Team RWBY seems to be shocked as well, at least now we know they left the theater as well and was teleported back
"Finish all four trailers before I let you roam freely." Their host said
"..." Summer remained silent for a while before she turned to team RWBY "Did you guys find something?"
"The room parallel to this room is the cafeteria, there's also a door behind the counter but we weren't able to go inside before we were teleported." Weiss answered immediately and with detail
"Good to know, that's probably the kitchen." Summer said before Weiss nodded in agreement
"That's what I think as well." Weiss agreed 'Actually, now that I think about it, Ruby's mother is more analytical than Ruby, and more leader-like as well, she's also pretty likeable and not too annoying and also not too noisy.'
"I… Guess we start the next trailer?" Taiyang asked before he looked at Glynda who clicked next
"Yellow" Trailer
"And so, the last trailer starts." Summer muttered to herself particularly to no one
The screen starts with darkness, then texts started to fade in
"Scathing eyes ask that we be symmetrical, one sided and easily processed. Yet every misshapen spark's unseen beauty is greater than its would be judgement."
"Hm… That's surprisingly deep." Weiss muttered to herself as she read the yellow trailer's quote, for a trailer that's about Yang, Weiss expected… Something else
The screen cuts to see Yang riding a yellow motorcycle, the screen continually cuts until Yang stops and parks her motorcycle
"Wait, you're 17 ri…" Taiyang was about to ask Yang but as soon as she turned around and looked at him, he trailed off
After a few seconds of silence, Taiyang asked a different question "What's your name again?"
"Yang…?" Yang answered but was confused about the question
"No no, your full name." Taiyang asked again, this time a more specific question
"Yang Xiao-Long?" Yang answered but still a bit confused
Now if this conversation didn't attracted everyone's attention, this got at least team STRQ's
"Ehem, did you just say Xiao-..." Qrow was about to ask but as soon as he saw Yang's face fully, he too trailed off
The whole team STRQ very much recognizes the similarities between two members of their team and Yang
"... I'm not even surprised anymore…" Summer said as she blankly looks at Yang who was a bit awkward now
"Frankly, I don't really care about this." Raven said before continuing "Why don't we continue the trailer already?"
Yang's eyes twitched as slight annoyance bubbles on to her, being ignored is something she's used to, so why does this particular case annoys her?
Actually, she already knows the answer, the person –Raven she heard looks so much like her without the yellow hair or lilac eyes of course… And the fact that she's on the same team as her dad, it's not hard to put two and two together
"Really?" Summer asked
"What's to say that this whole 'future' thing is true? Nothing besides claims, and that isn't really reliable, you could of course lie." Raven explained
Silence reigned upon the whole room after that, no one really knows how to respond to it properly
Yang steps down and removes her helmet and starts walking to a club while a raven starts to fly off
The screen cuts to Yang entering the club while music is heard
Yang walks walks through the club, she sees Roman Torchwick ending a conversation with a man
"Red like Roses fills my dreams..."
"Isn't that Roman?" Blake asked but with a bit of an awkward tone from earlier
"Huh… Didn't notice him at that time…" Yang said
Yang makes her way to the bar where the man from earlier stands
"...And brings me to the place you rest."
"Strawberry Sunrise. No ice. Oh, and one of those little umbrellas." Yang orders
"Hm…" Glynda hummed which got Yang a little bit nervous, but other than that, Glynda said nothing else
"Aren't you a little young to be in this club, Blondie?" The man asks Yang before Yang giggles
"Aren't you a little old to have a name like Junior?" Yang asked back
Summer found that a bit amusing but she didn't let it known, the atmosphere from earlier is still present after all
"So you know who I am. You got a name, sweetheart?" The man –Junior ask again,
"Yes, Junior, I've got several." Yang is saying while tracing her hand on Junior's torso
"But instead of sweetheart, you can just call me sir." Yang finishes while she grabs his groin and squeezes it and Junior cries out in pain
"A… Neat tactic… I don't recommend using it in public areas though…" Summer awkwardly advised Yang who nodded in response
Although, what Yang didn't noticed was Glynda and her reaction, which I tell ya, is not good
"People say you know everything, tell me where I can find her and I'll let you go." Yang orders Junior while taking out her scroll and showing a picture of Raven
Most people don't really have the best of keen perception, but Hunstmen that came from Beacon? Especially experienced ones? Yeah, they aren't really considered "normal" by definition
Especially Summer who literally is built around perception, and it's definitely a bit interesting when Raven and Tai's most-likely-daughter is seemingly looking for Raven if that question is anything to go by "Wait… Did something happen to Raven?"
"..." Yang didn't answer, frankly, she doesn't know what to answer, should she say the truth bluntly and practically reveal to the world about that or should she not? Yang doesn't know
Seeing Yang's lack of response, Summer's worries increased multiple folds, that is definitely not a good sign… Although, while she wants more answers Yang, she doesn't want to pry seeing as this is most likely very personal to her… And she knows by experience how that feels…
Raven on the other hand, could care less about that fact, it's not like it's real anyway, the thing that needs her attention is a plan to get out of this place, not this video
Junior looks at the scroll before answering "I've never seen her before, I swear."
"Excuse me?" Yang ask while tightening her grip
"I swear, sir!" Junior answers again while his men is starting to gather around them
"After this video, you and I shall be discussing matters about sexual assault and assault in general, Miss Xiao-long, do you know just how much this single scene could've change your life for the worst?" Glynda asked Yang "It is just a miracle at how you haven't yet started rotting in jail, it's one thing ordering drinks at your age –something I believe you can handle, but it's another thing sexually assaulting a person, in public, you could've been put to court and then jailed simply because of that."
"I-..." Yang was about to interject in defence of herself only to realize just how much Glynda was right
"I do not know if it is the reputation of both of the members of your family, or if it is something else, but it is lucky for you that Mr. Xiong did not put charges against you, so consider yourself lucky." Glynda said "And yes, I know of him, he has been under the police's watchlist and we have been asked to keep an eye on him as well."
"Listen, blondie sir. If you want to make it out of this club alive, I suggest you let me go. Now!" Junior threatens Yang, the said girl then let's go of his groin and Junior sighs in relief
"You'll pay for that!" Junior threatens Yang again while he puts on his sunglasses and walks away from her, by Yang just follows him closely behind
"Oh Junior, I was just playing with you! Don't be so sensitive! Come on, lets kiss and make up, okay?" Yang ask Junior
"Huh? Uh, okay." Junior agreed, but as he leans in towards Yang, she just punches him in the face sending him flying across the room
"Black the beast..."
Glynda adjusted her glasses as she looked at what just happened before she discreetly took a deep breath to try and calm herself down before she said "Anything more to add, Miss Xiao-long?"
"N-None Professor…" Yang replied
But as that happens, the others noticed the… Familiarity of the lyrics, of course, they recognized it, the lyrics are from the Red Trailer they watched a few minutes back, how could they not?
But you see, none is brave enough to mention it with the tense atmosphere from Raven's statement and Glynda's anger towards Yang
Junior's henchmen then run towards Yang
"...Descends from shadows..."
She then activates Ember Celica, her Shotgun-Gauntlets and unloads the spent bullet and Junior's henchmen then run towards Yang
"...Yellow Beauty burns..."
When the Junior's henchmen near Yang, the said girl jumps and the screen slow motions to see Yang made a form with the spotlight behind her while her fist is burning
"...Gold."
"Ah." Weiss said before closing her mouth as she just realized what she just did
Thankfully, no one said anything about it, except if your name is Ruby "Weiss? Did you find something?"
'Sometimes, Ruby is awfully perceptive, but I guess judging by how her supposed mother is acting, that mystery is I guess solved.' Weiss thought to herself before she replied "Ah no, it's nothing."
"Come on Weiss, what did you find?" Ruby asked, not relenting
'Come on Ruby! Can't you read the room!?' Weiss thought to herself in annoyance as she realizes that Ruby despite her perceptiveness, is also simultaneously dense, but not wanting to look rude to the other people on the room which includes their headmaster, she decided to answer Ruby's question
"It is just a minor and irrelevant detail, but every trailer along with the current one we're watching has the four of us doing a… 'pose' mid-air as a light source is behind us, the other three before this have the moon but Yang's one has the spotlight."
"... Huh." Ruby said as she realized that too "I didn't notice that."
Yang is seen punching the floor and caused a massive shockwave and sent all of Junior's henchmen flying
The screen goes back to Yang to see her slowly recovering with fire surrounding her with a grin on her face
'Frankly, if she wanted to die, then making things more dramatic is a good way to achieve it.' Summer thought to herself as she looks at what Yang on screen is doing, if that was a fight against people or Grimm looking to kill her, then she doubts that Yang will have an easy time fighting with that kind of mentality
She wasn't the only one to notice this though
Raven and Qrow seem to not be amused
Tai doesn't care honestly
And Glynda is seen shaking her head as she sighs in exasperation
Yang fully recovers then jumps and kicks a henchman in the face, then she punches another one in the gut while shooting, she then puncher his chin and shooting
"Mirror..."
'Ah… Isn't that…' Weiss thought to herself as she immediately recognized the song being played
She twirls in the air and kicks a henchman, the henchman hit another one, knocking both of them out
"...Tell me something..."
Yang then continues to destroy her enemies, which has a number of 11 more henchmen in total without breaking a sweat
"...Tell me who's the loneliest of all?, Mirror..."
The DJ then brought out a machine gun and started shooting Yang, the said girl saw this and run towards the DJ in zigzag
"...What's inside me?"
Once she reaches near enough, she shoots the ground while jumping to use the recoil to launch herself
"Tell me can a heart..."
Yang holds the desk and kicked the DJ, she then twirls and shoot and use it's recoil to hit the DJ in the head then took him and hit his face into the desk then the music changes tone abruptly and ending the 'Mirror Mirror'
"...To stone-"
Yang the kneels and took the DJ and shoot him to launch him into the air, the screen follows the DJ to see him landing on the feet of two people
"Melanie, who is this girl?" The girl in red ask the girl in white -Melanie-
"A new challenger approaches." Taiyang whispered in amusement 'Can't help but say that.'
"I dunno Miltia but we should teach her a lesson" Melanie answers the girl in red -Miltia- question
Yang unloads all spent bullets, she then reached on her back to get more ammunition and loads it to Ember Celica, the screen then cuts to see Yang has a grin
"Born with..."
"Oh, now it's Blake's song now, when will I get mine?" Yang said with mock anger only to quickly close her mouth as she realizes she just said it out loud
A good thing that Glynda doesn't seem like she cares about what she just said
Yang then jumps and started to shoots at the twins, but both of them dodge all of the incoming attack
"...No life, into subjugation"
Yang lands on the ground and resumes shooting at the twins while they are running towards her
"Treated, like a..."
Yang then targets Melanie but only to her to dodge all of her attacks, she then jumps
"...Worthless animal"
Miltia then appears and tries to swipe Yang but she blocks her swipe
"Stripped of..."
Melanie then appears behind Yang and tries to kick her but Yang blocks it and was knocked back
"...All rights..."
Yang then shoots at Melanie then she stops, Miltia then dashes towards Yang and parry each other
"...Just a lesser being"
Miltia then stops and Melanie appears and attacks at Yang but Yang blocks all of her attacks
Miltia stops and ducks while attacking Yang's foot, meanwhile, Melanie appears and attacks Yang, but Yang shoots at Melanie while barely avoiding Miltia, Yang backpedals
"Crushed by..."
Melanie then attacks her foot and both Melanie and Miltia kicks at Yang, the said girl didn't manage to block the attack and was knocked back
"...Cruel... Ruthless human rule"
"They seem to be coordinated, not a feat everyone could achieve." Raven commented
'Heh, too bad they're fighting against me.' Yang thought to herself but does not have the confidence to actually say it, she's already doomed by Glynda, no need to dig her grave even deeper
Yang recovers and activates her semblance and punched Melanie and started attacking Miltia
"When it started..."
After some parrying, Yang manages to hit Miltia very hard and knock her back, Yang then started attacking Melanie
"...All we wanted is to live our lives, Now in Darkness..."
Yang shoots at Melanie multiple times but was either blocked or avoided so she closed in and attacked Melanie, but Yang has some trouble because she is fighting a person who specialises in kicking, which she is not good for her
"Taking what we want and we will rise... We will rise, From shadows, We'll descend upon the world..."
After some time, Yang activates her semblance while Melanie is in her hand, she then kicks Melanie's face
"...Take back what you stole"
"Ouch, in the face no less." Qrow commented
The holograms in the club suddenly turn off and a spotlight shines on Junior as he brings out his bazooka then a new music then starts to play
"You're gonna pay for this." Junior threatens
Yang gulped as she felt Glynda's gaze towards her, but she tried her best to ignore it
Junior then shoots and multiple rockets come out and directed to Yang, but Yang manages to avoid it all
"Come at me..."
Junior then shoots again, but Yang counters all rockets by her own bullets
"...And you'll see..."
'Ah wait, now's my song! When I fought them, there was absolutely no music because they turned it off when things started becoming messy, so this'll be interesting!' Yang thought to herself
Junior then turns his bazooka into a club and jumps towards Yang, they then started parrying that last for 3 seconds before Yang was knocked back across the room
"...I'm more than meets the eye, you think that, you'll break me, you're gonna find in time..."
Yang then recovers while her hair is burning, the screen then shows to see Yang is grinning
"... You're standin' too close to a flame that's burnin'..."
Yang then punches both her fist to each other and created a shockwave that made her hair fly upwards, then she adopted a boxing stance and run towards Junior
"...Hotter than the sun in the middle of July..."
Yang was starting to smile as she realizes just how much of a banger of a song her… Theme is
Junior then shoots at Yang but she avoids it, he then turned his weapon into it's club then tries to hit Yang with it but she avoided it even in close range, Yang then punch Junior 7 times in a row
"...Sendin' out your army but you still can't win, listen up silly boy, cause I'm gonna tell you why..."
The screen slows motion to see Yang readying for a heavier punch while her fist is burning while her eyes turning red
"...I Burn!"
"Yeah!" Yang screamed as she stood up and punching the air with her first, getting hyped up by the song as she watches the fight scene
But… She quickly sat on her seat once again as soon as she realizes what she has just done
"There is no need to be afraid now, yet. Feel free to do what you want for now." Glynda said to Yang as she realizes what her words must be doing to Yang
She might be a strict teacher, but she isn't unnecessarily cruel
Yang then punch Junior, the said man then was knocked back across the room, his club was broken I his one hand, and on the other is strands of yellow hair
"...Can't hold me now, you got nothin' to stop me, I Burn!"
Team RWBY besides Yang looked at horror at what Junior seems to be holding, Ruby even let out a gasp
Of course, that gasp got the attention of the other watchers in the room
"Is… There something wrong?" Summer asked a bit hesitant
"I… Well… Yang really likes her hair." Ruby replied
Of course, that alone could make team STRQ put two and two together… Yang's gonna get angry
Although, they have various different reactions to that
Summer was worried… Both for Yang and the man, or in other words, Junior
Taiyang… Is in the same both as Summer, just a bit more worried for Junior
Qrow smirked a bit as he leans in more towards the screen
Raven could care less, she even had the urge to yawn
Yang saw the hair strands in Junior's hand and became angry, very angry, so angry that her semblance erupted flames that broke the remaining glass pillars, Yang then run towards Junior and punched so hard that he was sent out of how own club flying
Summer and Taiyang along with RWBY without the Y grimaced at that, a bit sympathetic towards Junior
Qrow had the urge to laugh but he tried his best to hide it as a cough, not that anyone was fooled by it
Yang was grinning widely
Glynda looked at the screen before she sighs, at least her sister was trying to not cause too much damage, unlike Yang
Ozpin… How else do you expect him to react? He just drank from his mug, nothing more, nothing less
And Raven… Is actually now yawning
"...Swing all you want, like a fever I will take you down!"
Junior landed near someone with a red cloak, this is Ruby, Yang then jumps out and Ruby saw her
"Yang, is that you?" Ruby ask
"Oh, hey sis!" Yang called Ruby out while her eyes turning back to lilac
"Huh, I guess we did the same thing as why my mother did to me?" Summer said to Raven who was not particularly interested… Until Summer said 'her mother' that is
Summer almost never talks about her family, and this got Raven's interest and curiosity
"And what is that?" Raven asked
"Well… My mother had a teammate, and he got a family on his own. Usually, both my mother and her teammate met up with each other before which caused me and… Me and the daughter of my mother's teammate also met up since childhood, leading us to become good friends to the point that we kind of called each other sisters… Which both of our parents seemed to encourage." Summer explained… Although, the usage of past tense did not go unnoticed by a few people
Not that they will pry, of course
"Should we?" Ruby whispered to Yang even when Blake and Weiss was between them
"... Nah." Yang replied
"What are you doing here?" Ruby ask Yang
"*sigh, it's a long story" Yang answered, then the screen turns black and the RWBY panels shows to see all of them is now shown
And so, all four trailers has ended
"Congratulations on finishing the trailers, Volume 1 and… Others will now be unlocked." A distorted voice suddenly said "Along with that, you are now free to do whatever you like in your spare time, of course, it is a requirement of mine to watch at least 2 episodes a day, there is no limit of how many episodes you can watch in a day, so if you wish to waste the whole day watching these episodes, then be my guest."
Everyone was silent as they were shocked at the sudden intrusion of their captor
Although, Ozpin immediately noticed the emphasize on "others"
"And what is this 'others', if I may so ask?" Ozpin asked, expecting no answers to come and merely really did it so the other watchers will notice the odd emphasize on that particular word
But in contrast to his expectation, the voice answered "Oh, it is by your choice if you wish to watch it, just know that some of what is in that category is not in the same universe as yours or may not be in the same timeline. In simple terms, the majority of what will be shown inside of that category will be useless towards any of you, but it will regardless be counted as an 'episode' you have watched, it is not required to be watched as opposed to the RWBY category."
And that got a few reactions on some of the watchers….
Summer was intrigued by it… Parallel universes? Alternate universes? A completely different one from them? Maybe it's just her former sister's wild imagination affecting her, but that's what she thinks their captor is implying at, it doesn't matter if it is useless or not, it's interesting
Raven groaned… She's not the type to fantasize things just like how Summer has sometimes shown in her almost three years time in Beacon with her and the rest of team STRQ but it seems Summer's… Fantasies that Raven heard from her is what seems to be what their captor is implying… And she doesn't know what she feels about that
Taiyang and Qrow… They're both just confused… Maybe not too much, they could understand what their captor just said, it's just that they're confused as to why it's an option to watch in the first place if it's useless? Maybe a distraction?
Blake and Weiss seems to be in the same boat as Taiyang and Qrow
Yang… Could care less about it
Ruby was just confused in every sense of the word possible in the current context
Glynda was while interested, she thought of it as a waste of time but… If what their captor said about 'freezing their respective timelines' is true then time might not be a problem… I mean, magic exists, so that doesn't sound too far-fetched, right?
Ozpin… Drank from his mug, I guess old age makes you unfazed to the most bizarre things huh?
I guess I'm also a prime example of that too
Along with that, it also confirmed one thing that a few watchers had suspected… Watching RWBY is a requirement

"Hm… Actually, now that I noticed it, you got my surname?" Summer curiously asked
"Huh?" Ruby said in confusion
"I mean, you have my surname, shouldn't you have like… Your… Father's surname, whoever that might be?" Summer asked
"I mean…" Ruby was about to answer but she was interrupted
"Oh, and also one more thing, you can only watch a video if all watchers are present in the cinema room, if for whatever reason they can not attend, then they should be aware of what you shall do and should have their verbal consent to do what you do. Of course, I shall know if it is forced or not so don't even think about trying it." The voice suddenly said out of nowhere
'Hm… I'll just ask another time then.' Summer thought it herself before pondering about the new information their captor gave them
"Hm… Should we take a break?" Ozpin asked "We now have an opportunity to leave this room freely, should we use this opportunity to take a break or should we continue on first?"
After a bit of debate with herself, Summer said "I vote that we should watch a few more episodes so that when we will take a break, we'll have more information to discuss about, the trailers weren't exactly informative, no offence to team RWBY of course."
The rest of team STRQ seemed to agree with Summer
Ruby and Weiss nodded in agreement, seeing Summer's logic as sound
Yang gave a thumbs up and Blake, said or did nothing besides hum
With a seemingly unanimous vote, Glynda selected Chapter 1 and clicked enter
A/N: Sheeeesh, this reached 5k words and this is just a trailer, not even passing ten minutes… Not even six even!
