Disclaimer: Aside from The 39 Clues and Percy Jackson, I also do not own The Book of Mormon.

Chapter Two—Nicknames

Amy, Ian, and Annabeth all walked to the admin office first to get their class schedules. They all had the same classes except for P.E. They entered their homeroom class just before the teacher came in.

He held a book with both his hands and said, "Hello, my name is Mr. Price, and I would like to share with you the most amazing book."

Apparently, he was a die-hard Book of Mormon fan, so they spent the entire period listening to him sing slightly off-key songs from that musical. It was by far the best homeroom Amy ever had. She had no work to do, and she even got free entertainment. But apparently, Mr. Price was vicious if someone disrupts his performances.

He was belting out, "I beli-i-i-i-e-e-e-eve—" when an unfortunate boy with unruly dark hair and sea green eyes came into the classroom.

"Sorry, I'm late! I was—" he started to say, but he was cut off by the teacher shouting at him.

"SHUT UP AND TAKE YOUR SEAT! OR ELSE I'LL BELI-I-I-I-E-E-E-EVE THAT YOU DESERVE DETENTION!"

The startled boy quickly took a seat next to Annabeth. He kept staring at her as soon as he entered the room, shock written all over his face.

"Seaweed Brain, didn't you know that it's rude to stare?" Annabeth asked without looking at him.

He still gaped at her. "Annabeth? What—what are you doing here?"

Annabeth raised an eyebrow. "Don't you want me here? You're not keeping anything from me, are you?"

"What?" Percy asked, surprised. "No! No, of course not. I was just wondering since you lived on the other side of the country and all."

Annabeth smiled at him. "My dad got me an apartment here, so that I wouldn't have to go back and forth from San Francisco to New York. He and my stepmom stay with me there sometimes. I live near the Empire State Building, so my job's a lot easier now."

"So, that means I get to see more of you now, Wise Girl?" Percy grinned widely.

"Unless you don't want to." Annabeth smirked at him.

Amy didn't mean to eavesdrop, but since she was right beside them, she could hear their conversation. She didn't want to interfere with their private lives. She just thought that they seemed like a nice couple—if they were a couple. She was a little confused with their nicknames, but since it was none of her business, she had no right to ask.

The bell rang for the next subject, and Mr. Price groaned dramatically. "Alright, fine! Go! Go now and leave me!"

Later on that day, Amy found out that Mr. Price was the head of the severely underfunded and therefore almost virtually nonexistent drama department of the school.

Yes, I know it's short. I hate its shortness too, but since I am only editing what has already been written per chapter, and I cannot change the essence of each chapter, so it's still very short. I have no idea why I posted this seemingly under-filled chapter in the first place. But there are more than ten chapters waiting for you guys anyway, so I guess this is alright.

Please review with complete honesty. Thank you!
