Dusty's pov
Humming to the music that was playing in my room, I was packing a duffle bag to go on a trip for a few days. I haven't told Wally yet that we were going on a trip seeing as he's been on a mission for the past week with my sister and Clint. Finished packing I stuck my bag by Wally's bag that I had already put together. Pulling my hair up into a hair pony I slipped on a pair of shorts and a jersey shirt that belonged to Wally.
"Mm if you're just going to always wear my old jersey's I think this is a good enough reward to come home to," says Wally with a wide grin on his face
I jumped and smiled at him, "I didn't want to wear regular clothes, plus it's a long ways to go," I stated
"Waitwhat'salongwaystogo? Whereareyougoing? What'sgoingon? Whyaren'tyouansweringme? Say something!"
I slapped my hand over his mouth to shut him up, I rolled my eyes
"We're going to visit Barry, Iris, Joan and Jay plus our dog Brucy,"
"Oh! So it is a we not an I sweet, let me just get some stuff to…I already did that here's your bag," interrupted and handed him his bag.
He smirked at me, kissed my temple and walked to the bathroom to shower. I walked out of the room and walked into my Sister's room.
"Hey Boo, got the bags packed for this trip that you have been planning for weeks?" she asked
"Of course! Wally's taking his shower right now so I thought I'd say Hi," I giggled
"I'm good now that the mission is finally over the dude was a fucker to get," she rolled her eyes
I nodded my head, said goodbye and walked back to the room to see Wally in just a tower his toned chest having water drip down it. Blinking I felt my face heat up, I coughed just as he was about to take off his towel. He jumped, turning towards me his shocked face turned into a smirk.
"Come to get a peek show darling?" he said in a sexual voice
I snorted and shook my head, "You're a real charmer West you know how to get them,"
"Well you know me Wallace Charmer West at your service my lady," he winked before he bowed
"Well Wallop get dressed so we can leave, I want to make it in one day," I stated
"Wait we're driving?" he asked
"Duh! Keep your energy we don't know what could happen on the way," I huffed
"Now your sounding like your sister, it's kinda creepy," he snorted
"I do not," I pouted
He shrugged before pulling the towel off, I squeaked and turned around. I could hear him laughing at me.
"Hey babe I already had my boxers on," he grinned
"You're a jerk, you couldn't have told me that in the beginning?" I asked
"Nope I wanted to mess with you," he smiled
"Whatever I'll be in the car," I huffed walking out to the bottom floor.
Picking a car, I decided on my Charger, I started the car as I saw Wally heading down. I grinned as he sped into the car.
"Whenever you're ready gorgeous," he grins
I shook my head, driving out of the base to the main road. It was a few hours and Wally was fidgeting in the car.
"Do you remember when you didn't know that I was the same girl you went to school with?" I finally decided to make conversation.
"Of course I was shocked it was you, as a superhero your hair was a redish pink color and your eyes were like watermelons pink with a tint of green, but when you were at school you had blonde hair that was kinda curly wore big nerdy glasses and was very clumsy," he laughed at the end.
"Watermelon eyes?" I cracked up laughing
"Is that all you got out of this the watermelon part?" he mumbled
"No of course not just can't believe you just compared my freakish eyes to a fruit," I chuckled
"Hey you forget foods always on my mind…well that and girls of course but they never talk in my head… well besides when we lost our memories and M'gann was in my head," he laughed
"And let's not forget when you broke your arm, your parents were…" I stopped when I just mentioned his parents
His once happy look was changed to a stone cold, dark stare.
"I'm so sorry I didn't mean to bring them up," I whispered
"It's fine, really Dusty it's in the past now," he sighed
After that it got quiet for thirty minutes that was until he spoke up again.
"Pull over," he states
"What? Why?" I asked
"Just do it?" he sighed
"Why I'm driving perfectly fine," I huffed
"You're tired get some sleep, now pull over Dustine," he states
Pulling the car off the road to the side, I got out of the driver's side to Wally's side. He got out of the car and looked down at me.
"Do me a favor and never call me Dustine again got it Wallace," I growled
"Sorry Dusty," he whispers kissing my forehead
I felt my breathe just leave my body after that, he got to the driver's side and looked over at me.
"Come on you need some beauty sleep," he joked
I laughed and got in the car, using Wally's jacket as a pillow I slowly felt myself going into darkenss.
WALLY'S POV
Looking over at Dusty, she was out like a light bulb. I laughed, looking back towards the road. Already getting light out, I sighed with dusty bringing up my parents I knew she felt some guiltiness with it, but I don't blame her for any of it at all. When this is all over I think it will be finally the time to ask her out.
'Just hope she doesn't reject me, she's my world I don't know what I'd do without her,'
Turning back to Dusty she was beautiful when she slept, then again she has always be beautiful. Seeing her turn in her sleep, I could see her eyes fluttering open and after that a loud, long yawn.
"Well good morning sleepy head, you sleep well?" I chuckled
"Hm ya not as good as my bed but still slept well, where are we?" she rubbed her eyes
"We're almost there, just need to stop for some gas," I stated
"That's good," she yawned before turning the radio on
DUSTY'S POV
As Wally pulled up to the gas station, he went inside to pay for the gas. Looking around Central city I nearly forgot what my second home looked like. Seeing Wally walking back to the car, I just couldn't keep my eyes off him, his fiery red hair, his emerald green eyes and let's not forget his beautiful smile. Tapping my fingers on the dash board Wally finally got in the car started to drive again.
"I nearly forgot what it looked like here," he says breathing in the air
"Same here," I whispere
Pulling up to a familiar house, we got out of the car, not even nearly two seconds later Bart is crushing Wally in a tight bear hug.
"Wally! I was wondering when you were going to show up," Bart stated excitedly
"Bart! Let Wally and Dusty get in the house before you hug them to death," says Iris with a smile on her face.
I laughed walking up to her and giving her a hug, I could feel a small bump on her, I knew she was excited and I was excited as well. Finally getting in the house, I hugged Barry and walked over to Joan and Jay.
"I missed you guys so much," I smiled before giving them both a hug
"Darling we have missed you as well," says Joan
"Yes the last time was when young Bart over there showed up," laughed Jay
I grinned before getting knocked down to the ground by Bart himself.
"Dusty! You're here I'm so happy Wally's always in a better mood when you're here with him," says Bart very fast.
"That is so not true," says Wally with a pout
"Wallop don't pout it doesn't look good on you," I winked at him
His face turned red, but went back to normal as he came over and hugged the Garrick's. Hearing a loud woof from the back yard, I jumped and ran to the back yard.
"Brucy!" I yelled picking him up.
"He's kept me company since I started staying around here," says Bart in a calm voice
I turned towards him and saw the look, I always saw in my own eyes sadness and death. I knew he saw things in the future that he probably doesn't want to say.
"Ya that's the same with Wally also, he keeps him in the calm world," I stated looking past Bart towards Wally.
"Do you love him?" he asked
"Yes," I whispered
Wally looked up at me with this bright smile, he walked out and pulled me to his side rubbing brucy's head.
"I see you've been taking good care of my dog Bart," Wally states
"Ya isn't that what family do?" he asked with a smile and hope in his eyes
I looked up at Wally as he stared down at Bart, a smile coming to his face, he set his hand on his head.
"Ya kid it is what family does, we look out forever other no matter what," he says rubbing Bart's hair.
I walked inside as, Barry, Jay, Wally and Bart went out back to play football.
"You know my dear, isn't it about time to tell him how you really feel about him?" asked Joan
"I know, I know I just haven't figured out how yet," I sighed
"You've known him your whole life darling, you've faced worse things this should be a piece of cake," says Iris
"Ya your right," I smiled
Hours later dinner was ate and dessert was done with, we were out back just talking like a normal family.
"We're all excited for you to have twins, but Wally when are you going to give Barry and Iris some huh?" asked Jay with a grin
I felt my face heat up for some reason, I looked at him and it was the same as mine.
"Well uh…When we are done with this whole invasion, ya after that," he nodded his head
"Oh and you already got a girl huh?" teased Barry
"In fact I do, right Dusty," he asked turning towards me
"W-What?" I stuttered
Laughs went around the table as Wally and I turned bright red. Getting Brucy in the car, I walked back into the house to see Barry hugging Wally. For some reason it made me happy to see Wally care for not just by me or the team but real family.
"I'll see you soon Dusty," says Bart
"Ya see you soon, we're close to the end at least I hope," I stated
"Me too," he whispered
Ruffling his hair, I hugged the Garrick's and Barry and Iris and got in the car. As we drove away, I kept waving till I couldn't see them anymore. We were getting a hotel room in the city, so we could hang with them before we get anymore crazy missions.
"I had fun tonight, I'm glad I planned this weeks ago," I giggled
"Weeks ago, man is that what you've been doing while I was on my mission," he laughed
"Ya," I smiled
'We have a great family'
