I saw a post on tumblr and decided I had to make a one shot based off of it ^.^ I hope you enjoy!
"Oh, for Oz sakes, Galinda, what's taking you so long?" Elphaba stood at the bathroom door, her legs crossed. She had been waiting to use the bathroom for ten minutes now and her room mate was still in there. She should really stop referring to Galinda as merely her room mate, they had been friends for a good couple of weeks now, it was just taking Elphaba time to adjust to the idea of a friendship. Especially with someone so... blonde.
"I'm kind of dealing with an emergency here, Elphie!" Galinda called back in a shrieky voice. "I'm going to the movies with Pfanee and Shenshen tonight and I have a huge pimple on my nose! They'll want to take photos, Elphie. Photos!"
"Is a pimple really worth me running the risk of kidney disease?" Elphaba called back, so busting now that beads of sweat were lining her forehead.
"Um, yes! Some people actually like to look good Elphie!"
Elphaba groaned. She had no idea how long Galinda would take fretting over her pimple and she needed a bathroom... quickly! She ran from the dorm and took the lift to the ground floor of the building. Hers and Galinda's dorm was only on the second floor, but she didn't trust herself to use the stairs. She ran to the community bathroom but found it was out of order. Elphaba began to panic slightly, looking around the building for another bathroom that may be around. There was none. However, she did spot the local café, just outside. She made a run for it, swinging open the two giant glass doors and speeding to the restroom.
"Hey Elphaba, what are you-" Fiyero, who was waiting for a beverage, began as the green girl sped past.
"Can't talk, got to pee!" Elphaba replied, not stopping to explain further.
Elphaba finished in the bathroom and strode out in a more relaxed manner. "Hey speedy!" Fiyero called with a smirk. "How was your pee?"
Elphaba blushed slightly, laughing awkwardly. "I'm sorry about that, Galinda was occupying the bathroom in our dorm and-"
Fiyero began to laugh, "Say no more, I know how the ever-perky Galinda Upland can hold up facilities."
Elphaba's gut tightened. "Uh, yeah, of course you do," she replied with more nervous laughter. "A cup of tea, please. Black," she called to the barrister, trying to revert attention from her rose tinted cheeks.
Fiyero smiled. "You like your tea black, huh? Like your men?"
Elphaba's blush deepened even further with this comment. "I- um- yes, I like my tea black. The other, I wouldn't be too sure."
"That's a shame," Fiyero began. "Because, I like my tea like I like my women."
"One green tea with mint and one hot chocolate with three sugars for a Mister Tiggular?" The Barrister called out loudly.
"See you around, greeny," Fiyero said with a small wink, standing to collect the drinks.
Elphaba stood still in amazement, not too sure as to what just happened. She felt her cheeks burning, her pulse rushing, her head reeling... this wasn't good.
...
Elphaba had drunken her tea at the café and then taken a stroll through the gardens, making a stop in at the library and was only now returning to the dorm. She felt guilty, for some reason, and wasn't too eager to face Galinda. She opened the door, only to find that Galinda was already in bed, furiously examining her pimple with a hand mirror.
"If you keep touching it, it'll only get worse," Elphaba called out, startling Galinda.
"Oh, Elphie, you're home!" Galinda said cheerfully, her mirror dropping onto her bed.
Elphaba spotted a coffee cup on Galinda's night stand, confirming where Fiyero had been on his way to earlier that day. "You know, you should really cut down on your sugars, it just ruins the drink," she began, nodding to the drink.
Galinda scoffed, rolling her eyes. "You're just as bad as Fifi!" She complained. "He's already cut me down to three."
"Down?" Elphaba asked, utterly amazed to how much sweetness Galinda could handle.
"Yes, down," Galinda replied with a, sort of, pout. "Oh, talking about Fifi, he left you something on your bed!" Galinda called out as Elphaba moved to her wardrobe to hang up her scarf.
"What?" Elphaba asked, the shock of what Galinda had said causing her to drop her scarf and, somehow, trip over it and land on her butt.
"Elphie, are you okay?" Galinda asked, propping herself up to see Elphaba lying in a ball on the ground.
"What? Oh, yeah, I'm okay! Just a bit clumsy tonight," Elphaba stammered.
Galinda fell back on to her bed, picking her mirror back up and examining her nose. "Yeah, okay, whatever."
Elphaba pulled herself up to her knees, examining the package Fiyero had left. There was a packet of mint biscuits with a note on top;
Elphaba,
I hope you enjoyed your tea!
Fiyero xx
Elphaba giggled for, probably, the first time in her life. She picked up the packet of biscuits and slid out the plastic tray inside. "Galinda, did you eat my biscuits?"
