Chapter 3

Zero found himself in a big predicament. Not only was he suppose to be the private photographer to a model with the worst reputation in the fashion industry for being a player and a spoiled conceited prideful bastard who caused tons of models, photographers and make-up artist to either cry, quit on the spot or be fired, which by the way was quite a lot. Yet, at this very moment Zero found himself being forced to have dinner with said model and truth be told Zero didn't take to being in such a romantic top class restaurant with Kaname Kuran all to well.

"So why did you kidnap me and take me to a restaurant again?"

"To spend some alone time with you." Kaname answered honestly. "If we had stayed back at the photo shoot we wouldn't be able to talk in private."

"And being in a restaurant is private enough?" Zero bellowed sarcastically.

"Yes, if you have access to a private booth like I do."

Zero looked around them to the nearest filled table that was at least four tables away from them before looking back at a smug looking brunette.

"Alright, I'm listening." Zero chimed in, he had to resign to the fact that unless he heard what the other wanted to talk about, then he probably wouldn't be able to get home at all especially since he had no idea where the hell they were.

Kaname drove him here and Kaname was his only way back home.

"First things first, do you know who I am?"

Zero raised his eyebrow. The question seemed completely stupid, I mean who didn't know who Kaname Kuran was. Just the mere mention of his name would cause any woman's ovaries to explode in excitement. Not to mention his long history of being a womanizer.

Reading the other's thoughts through his expression, Kaname spoke. "I wasn't referring to myself now, but way back before when you were a child model."

Zero was utterly confused now. There wasn't a Kaname Kuran back when Zero modeled, yet that was what Kaname was referring too.

"I can't remember anything."

Kaname sighed. "I guess you wouldn't remember, especially since I didn't start off modeling by my birth name or gender."

"Huh?"

"Do you remember a particular photo shoot where you had to model for a wedding magazine?"

Zero thought back and could remember a particular photo shoot he did with his parents. He was seven at the time and there was a young girl who made her depute as a model. Yet, why was Kaname bringing up something that happened years ago? Unless…

It took Zero a while to make the connections but when he did he looked at Kaname wide eye. "Your that little girl from that photo shoot."

"Finally realized, huh?"

Zero couldn't ever forget that since he sort of slapped said girl in the face. But she was asking for it, the girl was so spoiled and literally so rude to those around her that she deserved to have some sense slapped on to her. It's only a shame that that spoiled attitude hasn't change since then.

Kaname placed a hand on his right cheek. "You do have a mighty strong hand."

"Yea, and your still a mighty spoiled brat."

Kaname shrugged his shoulders. "Some people aren't prone to changing."

"I can see that."

Kaname frowned at that but continued on. "Anyways, now that you remember our first encounter there is an offer I will like to propose to you."

"Which is."

"Sleep with me."

"Come again?"

"I want you to sleep with me."

"Are you out of your freaking mind?" Zero asked. "Don't you have any professionalism?"

"Listen, I know this may sound weird but it's a matter of life and death."

Zero huffed and stood from his seat. "I seriously can't believe I thought to wait here any longer to listen to this crap."

"I'm being serious here. I can even pay you."

"So now I'm a whore?"

"That's not what I meant." Kaname tried. "It's just I heard from Kaien about a million dollar investment you will like to someday invest in, I could help you out by giving you money."

"Sorry to break it to you but there's limits to what money can buy."

"Not many."

"Some things aren't for sale."

"Really, such as?"

Zero had to think for a second before answering. "Your money can't buy people."

Kaname laughed at that. "Your naivety is quite adorable, Zero. Let me tell you something, I buy the company of woman almost everyday and most time they just give it to me freely."

"For pleasure, maybe, but you can't buy people not when there's real emotions involved like love, happiness and other stuff."

"Other stuff? That's pretty damn cliché don't you think? Anybody is willing to do anything for money nowadays whether real or fake emotions are involved"

"As true as that might be for most people, there are still some who would disagree with what you are saying and would feel no shame in telling you to go to hell, which I am very tempted to tell you now, however, I still disagree with your theory."

"You do? So, my proposal in buying your company for one night is a no then?"

"Certainly. There is no way I will go along with your joke."

"You think I'm kidding around?" Kaname looked at Zero seriously. "Never have I been known to joke when it came to sex."

Zero shivered a little at that, the way the other man looked at him was almost predatory, as if the other wanted to eat him alive.

"Then let's pretend for a moment Zero that I'm not kidding and trying to play some kind of sick joke. What would you say then?"

"I…I would still say no." Zero stammered under those hungry garnet eyes watching him intently.

"Is that what your mind is saying? Cause from my point of view I can see your body tremble as if excited."

"I-Its not."

"That's a reflex answer because you're trying to conceal your sexual frustration, which I can smell coming out from your pores. It makes me hungry Zero and believe me when I say that I usually don't get this way for male partners. So listen to my proposal again, I am willing to give you one million dollars for one night with you. I want to taste the source thriving in you. I know this may sound barbaric but just consider it; seriously?"

"Are you serious? Don't tell me that this so called 'source' you speak of is some kind of fuel that makes you live?"

"Well yes."

Zero shook his head slowly. "I can't listen to this anymore, I'm outta here."

"Wait, you need to understand Zero that this is a very serious matter."

"Oh really? How so?"

"That source in you is like a pheromone to people like me. You will be attracting some very dangerous people Zero and you need to be careful-"

"Would you just stop!" Zero interrupted the other. "What you're saying is just plain ridiculous and as far as I'm concerned, I can take care of myself thank you very much. So I don't need you."

With a turn of his heels, Zero left and made his way toward the exit of the restaurant.

Kaname would have followed but right as he stood the waitress that had previously came to take their orders came back with their meal and when she saw Zero leave past her he turned to Kaname.

"Is your friend coming back, sir?"

Kaname pinched the bridge of his nose before answering. "No, I believe he won't."

"Um, would you like me to wrap up his meal for you?"

Kaname simply nodded and watched as the girl went about putting the food into a plastic container she took from under the stainless steal bus cart. Kaname could see the girl's outer earlobe turn red and Kaname knew it was his intense staring at her that made her blush.

Kaname grinned. "So what time you get off?"

The girl blushed some more. "A-At eight."

Kaname peered down at his watch and it was ten minutes to eight, which meant that the little lady would be off soon. With his hunger at it's peek, Kaname put on his best game face and flashed her a award winning smile the made the girl tremble in her uniform.

"Would you care to join me for a little fun tonight."

The girl nodded almost immediately.

"Well then, I'll meet you outside."

After putting large bills on the table, Kaname walked off toward the exit.

Zero gave a relieved sigh as he closed the front door to his loft apartment behind him. A hundred and fifteen dollars it cost him to ride a taxi from the restaurant to his home, which was in the next town over from where he lived.

If Zero wasn't pissed at Kaname before, he sure was now. Not only did the bastard kidnap him from his photo shoot, to which Zero left all his valuable cameras at, but also the idiot dared to propose a deal with him. The man was either mad or too horny and was not making sense. Zero figured both reasons seemed logical.

Kaname owed him a hundred and fifteen dollars and Zero was damn certain he was going to get that money back even if he had to ring that damn man dry.

Sighing again, Zero made his way to his room just down the hall. Zero really needed to have a word with Kaien about blabbering about his business to others. It was true that Zero wanted to invest in his own traveling photography school that would go to small countries to inspire young photographers to follow their dreams. It's also true that no matter how famous Zero was as a photographer, money as one just isn't enough and Zero refuses to go to his parents for cash. The only option Zero had was to wait and save, even if it meant that his dream wouldn't come true until he reached his elderly years.

Zero was going to see his dreams until the end without the help of anyone and that even included that smug womanizer Kaname Kuran.

Yet, what bothered Zero though were certain things mentioned in his talk with Kaname. What did the brunette mean when he said that inside Zero was a source he needed to survive and that his need to 'eat' it is why he sleeps around with woman.

This almost sounded like those creatures you hear from the bible, what were they called? Incubuses?

Well whatever it was, Zero was sure that it was just another one of Kuran's jokes, something he probably used to lure in others so he could sleep with them, yet why him? Zero was a boy, born and raised as one and all those who slept with Kaname were female, so why would Kaname be interested in him? There was nothing special about him other than the fact he was famous for his photos. So why? Why would Kaname joke around like that?

Zero shook his head as a means to shake away these troubling thoughts. He needed to rest. He was off tomorrow, so that meant he didn't have to wake early and the thought of that was enough to clear the sour mood he was in.

Sorry for the super late post of this story, I was suffering from a severe case of writers block for this story for quite some time. In fact, this and Reign of Blood had to have been the toughest to come up with ideas for.

I somewhat know where I want this story to go now, but my ideas are ever changing, so for now bear with me and I hope you will still enjoy this story as before.

Review, like, favorite. Thanks.
