Plot bombs everywhere. Everywhere. Boom. ^u^
Aomine stood alone in the gym with a broken basketball hoop in hand. Aomine cast a glare over to Akashi before throwing the broken hoop away.
"What are you doing here?" Aomine asked, his voice laced with irritation.
"I heard they had umbrellas in the gym so I came to get some. Why isn't anyone else here?" Akashi truthfully told as he tried to suppress a grin.
"They have umbrellas in the gym's shed not IN the gym so no one is here." Aomine scratched the back of his head.
"Why are you here then?" Akashi questioned, keeping his tone normal.
"I went to get an umbrella and saw the gym wasn't locked to I came in to shoot some hoops, okay?!"
Akashi had to suppress a laugh. How lucky he was today! The strength to break a hoop, that's a definite sign of Aomine tapping into his dormant powers as a holder. What a joyous day it is! What's more, they are alone in the gym.
"So you broke the hoop? How did you manage to do that?" Akashi countered
Aomine shook his head unable to explain.
"Wanna play a 1 on 1?" Aomine challenged, this was the best way to explain.
These events were turning out just as had Akashi hoped they would. Lady Luck had always favored people of intelligence such as him after all.
"Sure." Akashi agreed.
"Do you know how to even play basketball?" Aomine accused
"I do" Akashi confirmed. This wasn't a lie per say, Akashi had played a demon variant of the game on occasions and he had studied human sports at one point as well.
The prince slightly loosened his tie as he stood on guard in front of the taller male. Aomine dribbled the ball, keeping a close eye on Akashi. Seeing an opening Aomine rushed forwards. "Tch you're easy" Aomine mumbled as he ran threw the opening with terrifying speed, as if he was lighting. As Aomine passed Akashi he felt something being knocked from his hands. The sound of a basketball rolling echoed through the eerily quiet gym. Aomine's eyes widened in shock, his expression perplexed. When had the ball been knocked from his hands? The movement happened so fast. A bead of sweat trickled down the side of Aomine's face.
"What's wrong?" Akashi scoffed. Incredible as Aomine's speed was, this level of speed was not enough to be considered a showing of his hidden power. Perhaps if he was pushed further his true powers become more apparent, if they are truly within him of course.
"Again" declared Aomine. No one was able to so easily beat him on a 1 on 1. Only the others of the Generation of Miracles held a candle to Aomine. Now some squirt with the strangest aura he had ever seen waltzed in and beat Aomine? Hehe… this is going to be fun!
"Alright" agreeing, Akashi braced himself for Aomine's attack.
Aomine brought the rolling basketball with him smiled a wide smile of pure joy. Aomine positioned himself in front of Akashi as he started to dribble. Aomine with god like speed dashed to the left for a fake before spinning on his heel, turning around to the right.
"What?!" Aomine exclaimed when he found Akashi directly in front of him, blocking his way. Aomine quickly pivoted as he flicked the basketball up at the hoop for a formless shot. As Aomine adjusted his grip on the ball to face the net he suddenly felt the ball leave his hand. Stopping dead in his tracks Aomine regarded the fallen ball with awe. Yet again he had lost to the redhead…
"Would you like to try again?" Akashi offered with an innocently polite smile.
"Yeah" Aomine growled, feeling very much alive.
Aomine collected the stray ball before returning to his previous stance. Aomine took a deep breath in before exhaling. Aomine bent his legs and allowed his weight to hang. The male closed his eyes as his hands swayed with the ball.
…
Moments passed and he other didn't move.
Suddenly like a predator attacking pray, Aomine sprung forward with alarming speed and force. Aomine faked out Akashi with inhuman speed. Aomine quickly changed his hands grip and flung the basketball at the net. To someone watching the whole act would have been a blur. As the ball left Aomine's hand Akashi jumped to block. With cat like reflexes Aomine extended the tips of his fingers and forced the air born ball back into his possession. Aomine then flew past the air born male and made his way to shoot for the net yet again. Just at that moment Akashi who was still air born slashed his arm down, knocking the basketball out of the others hand.
As the ball rolled Aomine swallowed hard. How had Akashi knocked the ball away if was barley even looking?
Akashi landed on the ground with a smirk. Aomine's cat like reflexes, his unorthodox style and god like speed… those were not things a normal human, no matter how talented could hope to have.
"How did you do that?" Aomine was positively puzzled at Akashi's victory.
Poor human, thought Akashi. Aomine may have inhuman abilities but they were just latent compared to Akashi full-fledged powers. Winning was not an option for Aomine.
"I see things differently from most. I can detect the slightest change before you even realize its happening. " Akashi explained.
There was not a doubt in Akashi's mind at this point; Aomine Daiki was one of the five humans carrying the Gem of Reason within him. "But you too are very amazing. Would you like me to tell you something?" Akashi added in a secretive tone that spelled danger
"Uh sure" The taller male shrugged.
Akashi mentally checked the gym to ensure no one was around and indeed no one was.
"Are you sure you want to know~?" Akashi flaunted his voice as he gave a cold smile.
"Just tell me!" The other male exclaimed
"Fine but promise not to cause a fuss?" The shorter male mused
"I promise I guess?"
"Good"
With a confidant tone laced with hidden motives Akashi spoke "You aren't a normal human."
Aomine stood, unmoving. The world around him seemed to go dark, as if he had been cast into the embodiment of void itself. The room started to spin, the darkness mocking him. Not a normal human? What did he mean? Aomine closed his eyes and shook his head; he was probably referring to his talent, nothing more. Right?
"Yeah I know, people call me a monster because of my talent." The taller male brushed off, speaking in an uneasy tone
"Oh no you misunderstand me. This has nothing to do with your talent in basketball, this has to do with who you are." Akashi articulated in a calm manner.
"What the hell do you mean!" rage enveloped Aomine's voice.
Akashi sighed before putting up a false smile that only emphasized his dark aura. "If you won't listen to reason I suppose I will have to show you. That or I could just attack you and explain after. Don't worry I won't take that approach, that's far too barbaric for my style."
Aomine stood dumbfounded. What was this kid talking about? Nothing made even the slightest morsel of sense! Channeling his confusion into rage Aomine shouted "SHOW ME WHAT?"
The demon prince ran a hand through his hair and stopped halfway. "This" Akashi mused with a knowing playful smile that one could only imagine the devil himself wearing. As Akashi spoke he slowly dragged his hand down from his head. In the wake of his hands path Akashi's demonic features started to show, black and red curled horns, small but sharp fangs.
Aomine's jaw dropped as he stood awe struck at the sight in front of him. Aomine's legs felt like jelly as he dropped to his knees, like a deer caught in the headlights. The dark blue haired male wanted to scream but his throat felt dry and his voice felt as though it was being strangled.
Traveling his hand down to his chin, Akashi continued to drift his hand down his neck. After reaching his collarbone Akashi ceased trailing his hand and proceeded to swiping his other hand across his tailbone, reveling a demonic black and red tail. Moving the hand resting on Akashi's collarbone, Akashi removed his contact, an eye as gold as the sun showing itself.
Taking a step forward to the cowering, frozen with fear Aomine, Akashi smiled
"Do you believe me now? Do you understand? You aren't a normal human." The prince purred.
Aomine felt his heart stop. This was ludicrous, utter insanity! Nothing made sense at all. Aomine felt as though the world decided to plunge him into the pits of madness. As Aomine attempted to make sense of this he could feel his conciseness slipping. Still kneeling as he trembled, Aomine's eyes rolled back as he allowed his conciseness to drift to a world of black.
Aomine fell to the cold gym floor with a thud. Akashi closed his eyes and let out a sound of triumph. All these events had been going just as the male predicted they would. Now to put phase two into action…
Akashi glanced over to the unconscious male as Akashi's gold eye faded back to a ruby red colour. How defenseless Aomine was in such a state. If Akashi willed it, the demon could steal the piece of the Gem of Reason that resides in his soul and in doing so kill him, easy and simple. No, that's far too barbaric for Akashi's tastes though, after all, there's something else this man Aomine Daiki could provide him with.
After waiting for a few moments the fear stricken Aomine regained his conciseness.
"That was a scary as fuck dream" the male grumbled as he groggily sat up
"Up already? Well that's to be expected, you aren't a normal human after all" Akashi chimed as he swung his tail.
The colour instantly drained from Aomine's face as he quickly pointed a finger at the demon. "Y-Y-YOU" The male quivered looking as if he had just seen a creature from hell, oh wait.
The ruby-eyed demon approached the male and covered his agape mouth with his hand. Looking Aomine straight in the eye Akashi summoned a slight amount of his power to change his aura into a deadly commanding one. Turning his once ruby eye gold Akashi began to speak "We can play this game all day Aomine Daiki or we can move along to more pressing matters."
A shiver flew up Aomine's spine as he mustered up his courage.
"Make no mistake, I can kill you anytime I want." The heir to Hell whispered into the other male's ear in a cold harsh tone.
Aomine nodded and Akashi released his hand.
"Good" Akashi smiled wickedly "I have a lot to tell you so let's start with any questions you might have"
Aomine inhaled a large amount of air to speak but decided against whatever he was going to ask. Opening his mouth once again Aomine questioned in a firm voice "What ARE you". The tan males eyes drifted over Akashi's demon features and took note of the fact that the eye that was gold only moments ago had faded back into a red colour.
"A demon from the Underworld. " Akashi answered nonchalantly as if his answer was as normal as any.
Gulping Aomine nodded. "Who are you?" he inquired
"I am Akashi Seijuro of course."
Sighing Aomine rephrased the question "Who are you as demon?"
"Akashi Seijuro, Dai-ki"
"That's not what I mean!"
"I know what you mean I am not stupid. I am the heir to the throne of demons, the Prince of the Underworld, Prince of Hell, Prince of Demons, whatever you would like to call it."
"Oh how fucking great! Not only are you a demon you are the prince of them! Fucking PERFECT!"
"Daiki settle down."
"Who said you could call me by my first name"
Akashi shot Aomine a glare "You are going to be under my command soon so it's only natural."
"WHAT"
"Pay no mind to that for now, anymore questions?" Akashi pressed. This question answer session was key, it allowed Aomine to calm down and feel secure despite the fact a demon was in his presence.
"Yeah… earlier you said I wasn't a normal human. What did you mean by that?"
Akashi smirked, another shiver was sent down Aomine's spine. "What am I?" Aomine pressed further.
"And with this question I will tell you all you need to know. Long ago Demons and Angels fought on Earth for the possession of three gems. These gems were the Gem of Desire, Restraint and Reason. They provide power and the ability to sway the mind. During the war humans were born and as such the fighting ceased. Demons and Angels left taking the Gem of Desire and Restraint respectively while the Gem of Reason was left on Earth for humans. For years Angels and Demons were in a cold war. Both sides saw it unfit to leave the Gem of Reason on Earth where some animal or vile human could take it, if it were ever found and human society was no where near as structured as ours. Both sides didn't want to make the first move and they didn't want the other to take hold of the Gem of Reason. One day a demon went after the Gem and Angels rushed to stop them. In the process the Gem of Reason shattered into 5 pieces and vanished into five humans, those humans have been reborn again and again but it's impossible to tell who those humans are unless extensive searching is done.
I have concluded one of the 5 parts resides in your soul and as such you have been drawing on its power subconsciously. Now then, I am going to check your soul to prove it to you and as confirmation that you indeed have one of the five shards. After that, I have a proposition for you." Akashi informed.
Before Aomine could protest Akashi's eye shone gold as he placed his hand over the others heart. Akashi began to chant
"I am blind but I can see. I am sleeping but aware. I am behind chaos; I'm always there. Reason, nature's only treason"
A deep blue light shone over the human's heart as a shard of deep blue made itself known to the eye. "Perfect" Akashi commented in awe as the gem reseated back into the male's heart.
This mans fate is sealed. Now that Aomine has entered the world of the supernatural there is no going back to an every day life. Then again, he was a part of such a world all along, he just wasn't aware of it.
Waiting for Aomine to wake up Akashi calmed down his powers, his gold eye returning to red. The rain had let up. Perhaps it would be better to discuss matters with Aomine at Akashi's own house. Deciding that indeed it would be better to talk in a more comfortable privet area, Akashi lifted up Aomine. With the strength of a demon it was not a hard task, Akashi wasn't even a demon known for physical strength although that's not to say he was by any means weak.
To avoid strange stares from on lookers who see this Akashi flew up into the sky high above the clouds. The feeling of taking off from the ground and soaring into the sky was one the male would never get tired of.
Once reaching his manner, Akashi flew down. Entering his house he set Aomine down on his leather couch. There was much to talk about when the male was to awaken. It shouldn't be long before he awakens; he isn't a normal human after all.
As if on cue, Aomine began to stir up.
"God I just had the strangest dream" he male grumbled, holding his head in his hands.
"Up are we?" Akashi mused, waving his hand in a way that emphasized his demonic nails.
Aomine audibly gulped as he shook his head. "So this mess isn't a dream?"
"You tell me" Akashi swished his tail
Aomine let out a long and tired sigh. "Fuck. Just tell me what you need to so I can go!"
"Talking back to me?" Akashi chuckled. "Anyhow I will explain. As you recall I told you about the Gems. I checked and yes you are a bearer of the Gem of Reason, one of five. I am a demon, a devil, a spirit of the Underworld. You get the picture, right? I am no normal demon though don't make that mistake. I am the heir, the Prince of Demons. As the heir to the Underworld I, like you, am a Gem holder. That being said, I hold a full gem and not a fragment. I hold the Gem of Desire. We of Hell of decided that it was time to put together and claim the Gem of Reason. Seeing as you are a holder you have 2 options," Akashi added.
Akashi knelt so he was on eye level with Aomine. Looking Aomine in the eyes Akashi's eye began to shine gold. The prince held a finger in front of Aomine, growing his red and black nail longer.
Aomine shivered at the display of control and power and nodded.
"One" Akashi's voice was low and radiated of power
"You pledge your life to me. The piece of the Gem you hold is your soul, it resonates with you. As such you can control it and bring out great power. You yourself are skilled. I see potential in you. Pledge your life to me and I will allow you to live under the condition that you will serve under me. When I gather the other 4 bearers of the Gem you will come to Hell with me and serve under our kingdom. I will teach you how to use your power. I will make you immortal as well."
"Option two" The demon held up a second finger.
"I take the shard out of your body and you die. I will get the gem and your mind will cease to exist. "
Aomine scooted back in his seat. By no means did he want to die but to serve in the Underworld?
"What is th-" Aomine was cut off by Akashi
"No questions for now. I want to see you find your own resolve. Now pick" Akashi commanded
Aomine sighed. No, he didn't want to die. If he was some holder of a Gem or whatever there's a chance that the people of the demon's world would treat him well.
"One" Aomine answered
Akashi gave a small smirk. "Good"
"So now what… can I go?" Aomine asked, still feeling unsafe
"No you may not. You need to pledge yourself to me. I will brand you with the royal crest to seal our deal. " Akashi refused
Aomine was silent, showing confusion.
"After you pledge yourself I will mark you. If you should go against our deal I can use the seal to keep you under control. Furthermore only supernatural beings can see the mark of this seal, when you come with me to the Underworld lower level demons won't mess with you once they see the seal of the royal. Also, if any angels see you" Akashi's voice turned colder as he spoke. "They will know that I am one step ahead of them. I have my hands on a holder"
Aomine once again looked as though he had just wet himself.
"Now where would you like me to put the seal?"
"Um, my right cheek?" Aomine spoke without thinking
"Fine. Now kneel before me and repeat after me. 'I, one of five bearers of the Gem of Reason, Aomine Daiki pledge my soul to Akashi Seijuro, Prince of Demons and bearer of the Gem of Desire. I will serve him and submit my will to the prince. My life is the prince's. If I were to go against these words may the prince kill me or do whatever he sees fit.' " Akashi demonstrated
Aomine had the feeling his soul would be ripped out of him if he didn't comply, which was most likely true and so Aomine knelt in front of the prince and began "I, one of five bearers of the Gem of Reason, Aomine Daiki pledge my… uh, soul to Akashi Seijuro, prince of demons and bearer of the Gem of Desire? I will serve him… and submit my will to the prince. My life is the prince's. If I were to go against these words may the prince… kill me or do whatever he sees fit."
"I Akashi Seijuro, Prince of Demons and bearer of the Gem of Desire accept your offering. Your life is now mine and I shall treat it as I see fit" As Akashi spoke Aomine winced.
Akashi licked his fingers one by one. The male then brought his hand to Aomine's right cheek. Reciting some words under his breath in a tongue that was clearly not English, Akashi traced a symbol onto the kneeling males cheek. Aomine shut his eyes tight, he felt as though a mark was being carved into his soul.
Removing his hand, Akashi held up two fingers together and with closed eyes traced the same symbol in the air. When Akashi opened his now red and gold eyes Aomine could see a bright gold glow coming from whatever symbol the demon had drawn on him. The intense gold turned to red before settling down.
"You may rise, Daiki." Akashi stated.
Feeling dizzy, Aomine got up. Everything that just occurred felt unreal and yet the truth was right before him. His classmate Akashi was a demon with demonic features to boot.
Akashi pointed to a near by mirror, Aomine got up and looked into it.
Crested on his cheek was a medium sized dark red symbol. The symbol was the Emperors seal and in the center was the symbol for Pluto. Aomine raised a shaky hand to his face and touched the symbol.
"As I said other humans can't see it." Akashi reminded the male. "The symbol is what the royal family uses. The colour signifies me personally."
Aomine turned his head to Akashi, a blank gaze yet filled with many emotions.
"Daiki, perhaps it would be best if you went home. We can discuss matters whenever you want. You are the first holder I have found so you have a lot of time left on Earth. Oh and." Akashi's voice grew dangerously low and poisonous.
With his eye shining gold Akashi bled the words "Don't tell anyone a word about this"
Aomine wanted to scream, vanish, anything to release all these emotions running through him. Aomine wanted to protest and yell but surely that would mean death. Or would it? Either way Aomine wasn't going to risk it. How could he have known that the transfer student was actually a demon? This was all too real.
Complying with Akashi for lack of anything better to do Aomine left. "Oh and Daiki don't even think about running away. We have a contract, I can find you where ever you are." Akashi whispered.
Trying not to faint Aomine closed the door behind him. What had he just done? Oh, that's right.
Aomine Daiki had just made a deal with the devil.
