A/N: Ha. Ha. Ha. I got everyone's hopes up by saying this would resume during summer, and then quickly posted a chapter. Well now it is summer, as it is currently the Summer Solstice as I write this. I have traveled to the Hudson River and acquired a nice little writing space, so I shall be cranking out Big Brother chapters quite quickly. Sorry for the wait, but summer is here.
As a notice, Big Brother 16 kicks off June 25th!
Thanks be to the reviewers!
PuzzlingGamer: Toad is indeed safe, a decision we shall watch pan out for the women. And I threw a curveball there, making Jojora HOH, it shows how truly twisted the game of Big Brother may be.
Yoshpa Kong: It came as quickly as it went XD. But seriously, I'm back now. Will the women nominate the Wrecking Crew? Or will they go for different choices?
TheJoker21: The Toad hate is real with you, dude. Calm down, Toad will leave if he's meant to leave. Which may be never. We shall see how things pan out for the mushroom-capped kid.
Rockin Bros: DAT PLOT TWIST INDEED! Thanks for the review and the compliments! It's good to know my work goes appreciated!
ultimateCCC: I do indeed know Polterpup. You're very good for suggesting guest appearances. I've made a note to include him.
Flashfire912: Jury began with Plum, I think? XD. I'll have to check the books on that one. It is ironic how the golfing game followed Plum's eviction, is it not?
Matt1251: Will the Wrecking Crew remain strong? Or will they fall apart? Only time can tell and I'm glad I caught you by surprise there :D
Yoshette: No, it's going to get finished if it's the death of me. I'm plodding along slowly but I'm hoping to come around here.
Moley Koopa: I would have evicted Toad as well, if I were Flurrie. The women may have made a horrible decision, but they hold the power again, so they might be able to clean it up.
Princess Toady: I'm glad you enjoyed the outcome! It does make the events quite exciting. Toad could go with the women because they helped him out, no? And Koops might go where Toad does. Koops may go depending on how the women perceive him, true. I'd have to agree with you there, I just can't find a way to make Spike lively. Dry Bones is more social and Junior is playing too hard, agreed.
Sepron: Thanks for the review! The women's alliance is quite popular, but would it make sense for them to target Toad or Koops? Sorry I got your hopes up and then disappeared…
TimeLordHowl: Why hello new reviewer! Thanks be to you! Thanks for the words of encouragement!
Guest: I don't take kindly to those rude words…please refrain from reviewing my stories if you're going to curse me. Also please top spamming my story with flame reviewes, that'd be awesome.
I'm getting so many spam reviews it's not funny, please, please, STOP.

When the eviction came to a tie, Flurrie had to make a crucial decision.
Flurrie: This is going to be one of the most important votes of the season. It could potentially split the house into two strong alliances. I need to be sure I'm picking the right people to aid me, and I have to think of whether Toad or Plum is the right person to take.
But before she made her choice as the sole vote to evict, relationships in the house changed as they ever did.
"I turned on Shokora. But she scared me, she was talking about turning on our own allies. I had to root out the problem before she destroyed multiple people's games," Plum admitted.
"Well," Flurrie narrowed her eyes, "Although your intentions were noble, how am I supposed to trust you? What if in two weeks, I talk about getting rid of Koops. Would you turn on me then?"
As Plum dwelled more on her betrayal of Shokora, she affected the potential deals she could make within the house, slowly unraveling her gameplay.
"I'm sorry guys," Plum choked out, a few tears falling down her face, "I should've never gotten rid of Shokora. I was so upset with her, and then I did the one thing I was about with her for."
And Jojora revealed to Toad her true machinations.
"Honestly Toad," Jojora lied, "It's going to be Plum. We can't trust her after what she did to Shokora, so we'd be honored to have you come to our side and get away from the other side of the house."
With the support of a deal she made with Koops and Toad, Jojora swung the vote in Flurrie's mind, and cast Plum to the bottom of the totem pole.
"We just want to know where your head is at, man," Toad said, "We're looking to get rid of Plum."
"Honestly," Koops shrugged, "After the whole Shokora incident, I'm totally game."
"Alright," Jojora nodded, "Flurrie and Di are down as well, so it looks the boys are going to get quite the shock on eviction night."
Pressured by the thinking of her ally, Flurrie made a shocking decision and chose to banish Plum over Toad.
"With that being said," Flurrie sighed, straightening herself, "I must evict…,"
"Plum."
Toad fell back into his chair, pleased he had survived again. More importantly however, the Wrecking Crew exchanged glances of worry and fear, their plan had failed.
"It's official Plum," Chen T. spoke from outside, "You have been evicted from the Big Brother house."
When the power went back up for grabs, Jojora rolled her way to victory during the Big Brother Open, securing the women of the house another week of power.
"Dry Bones," Chen T. commented, "You scored an eight, which is not higher than nine."
Jojora's eyes lit up and she shrieked in happiness.
"Congratulations Jojora!" Chen T. cried, "You are the new Head of Household!"
We're back for the summer, and with newfound power, how will Jojora cast her nominations? Find out tonight on Big Brother: Chai Kingdom!

Episode 13: Ominous Clouds
Immediately following the results of the Head of Household competition, Dry Bones hung his bony neck, slithering into the kitchen like a sad snake.
Dry Bones: After the women controlled the vote last week, we needed this victory to clinch the kind of power the Wrecking Crew needs! We already lost Diddy during the second week, and if we lose someone else, this alliance is finished.
However, his social stratagem shined, and the skeletal chef quickly made a point to hug and congratulate Jojora rather warmly.
"You did fantastic!" Dry Bones cried with marvel, "I was so close, but you beat me! Way to go!"
"Thanks, Dry Bones," Jojora winked, "I love a friendly competition!"
Jojora: Friendly competition my behind! If Dry Bones thinks I take a word that comes out of his mouth to heart, he's quite the comical character!
Thinking he had supplicated Jojora, Dry Bones wandered off to some shadowed realm of the house to convene with the Wrecking Crew away from the prying eyes of people like Toad or Koops.
Spike lumbered over, disappointment with not just his own performance, but with the alliance as a whole glowering down from his stubbly face. Junior on the other hand, looked rather neutral about the overall turn of events.
"That was less than spectacular," Dry Bones sighed, "We needed a win."
"I'm only good for vetoes," Junior joked.
"I've done just about nothing thus far," Spike said with a doleful air about him, "I'm really sorry, guys."
Spike: All I've been so far is a sorry sack of muscle. My greatest accomplishment was bullying Toad into keeping quiet, ensuring Shokora's elimination. Since she's been gone, I've been kind of without a purpose. I destroyed my target so…now what?
"We just need to lay low," Dry Bones said with a sad hint to his tone, "We'll probably get nominated, but if there's any consolation, this is Big Brother."
"Expect the unexpected," Junior mused.
"Right," Dry Bones nodded, "We're not out of this yet. Big Brother may just toss Jojora a curveball this week."
"Let's hope so," Spike said gruffly, "Because if they don't, we're about done."
With that heavy remark weighing down their brains, the members of the Wrecking Crew bid one another goodnight and split up to do various things. Spike went to go change and brush his teeth while Dry Bones took stock of the pantry before checking in. Junior, on the other hand, decided to take a hot shower before slipping into bed.
While the men performed their own nightly rituals, Toad and Koops were now down to two occupants of the tiny yet elegant corner room. The koi in the pool outnumbered them now, and Koops fed them idly while mumbling up a conversation with Toad.
"We're running out of options, man," Koops sighed.
"Not really," Toad spoke with a chipper tone, "Flurrie saved me, which means she might see potential in me."
Toad: There is a God! Without one, there's no way I'd be in the house. Two times in a row I've evaded eviction, but can I do it again? Hopefully I won't have to, but you never know in the Big Brother house. Flurrie saved me for a reason, so tomorrow I'm going to try and talk to her about why she made the right choice.
"She could just be getting rid of Plum because she was a social threat," Koops pointed out, slightly damaging Toad's self-esteem in the process, "No offense or anything."
"Minimal offense taken," Toad noted, "Flurrie took out Plum for reasons. Who cares? What matters is that I'm here and so are you. Tomorrow we're talking to Flurrie and we're going to give Junior's little clique a run for their money."
"You think?" Koops sounded a bit doubtful.
"Don't go all Vivian on me now, alright?" Toad snapped, "I need you focused, not the sorry koopa you were during week two."
"I know," Koops shook his head, "I'm just worried about the game is all."
"We're all worried," Toad reassured, "This is Big Brother, not checkers."
In the women's room, Jojora and Di chatted with Flurrie before the spectral actress went off to sleep in the Head of Household Room for one last time.
"We did it!" Jojora squeaked, hugging her two friends in a circle of radiant joy.
"I know, I know," Flurrie gawked, "I was so scared we might lose power this week, but you pulled it out for us, Jojora!"
"Nice," Di smiled, "Now, we can knock one of the boys out of the house. Getting rid of Plum put as at a distinct gender disadvantage, there's only three women left, and that's us."
"Getting rid of Plum may have lowered the ratio," Flurrie winked, "But Toad's going to come crawling to us in the morning, you watch. And where Toad goes…,"
"Koops is sure to follow," Jojora brightened up, "Then we'll be the ones with majority. Those three boys think that Koops and Toad will come back time and time again, but I think they're about through."
"How do we know that Toad and Koops aren't going to turn on us though," Di trembled with anxious predictions.
"We don't," Jojora answered, "But I doubt they will."
"Well then," Flurrie waved, "Ta-ta! I'm off to catch some beauty sleep!"
"You need it!" Di hollered.
"How rude!" Flurrie chortled, knowing Di was only joking. Di and Jojora bid Flurrie goodnight, and the mauve phantom floated her way to her suite, leaving her allies behind.
The night passed over and the morning sun rose on the Big Brother house, signaling another day and another chance to get back in the game. With nominations looming overhead in just twenty four hours, the houseguests without power this week felt it was their duty to secure good social standing with Jojora.
The first to do so was Dry Bones, and he knew the fastest way to redemption was with food. Creeping into the storeroom at an early hour, the undead chef quickly gathered many wonderful and aromatic ingredients to whip up a breakfast with. He set to work making banana pancakes, all the while cooking up some savory hickory sausage. When he was done with that, the chef blended a variety of exotic fruits together with some orange juice and honey to make a sweet smoothie. However, in order to avoid the seemingly obvious possibility of brownnosing the HOH, Dry Bones made enough for everyone to enjoy.
"What is that divine smell?" Flurrie wondered as she floated into the kitchen, "Is that breakfast?"
"Yes!" Dry Bones called, "Don't touch anything yet, it's all hot!"
"Why, I've never seen such a spread," Flurrie commented, "There's sausage and ham! You've outdone yourself, Dry Bones."
"Thanks," Dry Bones feigned a sheepish reply, "It was nothing, really."
"Are those banana pancakes?" Jojora asked upon arrival, "I love banana!"
"Well I don't," Spike grumbled, "I'll just take some sausage and my black coffee."
"Suit yourself," Jojora commented, "I'm eating some pancakes!"
"What's this about pancakes?" Koops sleepily wondered, "There are pancakes?"
Soon, everyone flocked to the kitchen and living room, heaping servings of Dry Bones' wondrous meal onto their plates and enjoying it over chatter. Dry Bones smiled at his handiwork, knowing nothing brought people closer together than a good meal. Turning down the flames on the oven, Dry Bones was caught off guard when Junior accosted him.
"Nice work," Junior whispered between mouthfuls of banana pancake.
"I had to butter her up," Dry Bones smiled, showing his grey teeth, "Now it's up to you to do the talking."
"Let her digest it all, maybe take a shower," Junior answered, "Then when she's moving into the HOH room, I'll stick around and talk."
"She should be getting the key sometime after breakfast," Dry Bones said, "So I wouldn't dither for too long."
"I've got it under control," Junior hissed, "Don't worry."
Dry Bones nodded in understanding, scooping up everyone's dishes and cleaning them thoroughly. With a full belly, Jojora happily made her way to her bedroom to get her things in order for the big move to the HOH room. Flurrie, on the other hand, had to sadly gather her things to retreat downstairs for Jojora's move-in.
"I'm out!" Flurrie called, toting a basket of clothing and accessories down the stairs.
"Flurrie!" Spike roared, "You shouldn't be carrying such a heavy load down the stairs!" The burly man made his way over to the aging actress and took the load from the wind spirit. Smiling with appreciation, Flurrie gladly let him carry the bundle down to the women's bedroom.
Flurrie: That was so sweet of Spike! He's been quite grouchy, but I'm starting to see a nice side to him!
Spike: I came here for 500,000 coins. If I have to be sweet and nice and go soft for a few weeks, that's what I'll do. Whatever it takes to win.
With Spike's good nature and Dry Bones' good cooking, the men were shaping up a nice image for the pre-nominations. However, as Big Brother called in Jojora to get her key, Junior knew it was up to him to make the deal.
"Who wants to see my HOH room!?" Jojora cried, bursting forth from the diary room with a silver key in her hand.
Everyone cheered for her, some fake and some real. Following her up the stairs, the group of eight houseguests stood outside her door while she unlocked it.
Toad: Am I best friends with Jojora? No. But she did save me last week by brokering a deal with Koops and I, so it's in my best interest to be nice to her and work my way into her fold.
Jojora opened the door and gawked at the display. On the bed was bright sky blue blanket, and several photographs hung around the room and stood up on the bedside table. A basket of snacks and beauty products was propped up in the center of the table, and a letter from home rested by the basket.
"Mail time," Toad said, sitting on the bed and waiting for Jojora to read her letter. Everyone else crowded around the bed, watching patiently as Jojora pried open the envelope and read aloud the contents.
Jojora! We are so excited you won HOH! We knew you had the fire in you, and it's amazing that you're doing so well in this game! We can't wait to see you, but can wait long enough for you to swipe that prize! Don't ever get down, because with us on your side, you can always keep your chin up! And from us at the station, it's not news unless Jojora Teeheena's seen it first!
-Love from all of us at Channel 64 News (Chucklissa).
Jojora wiped away tears and let out an awkward laugh as she folded the letter and but it back on the table.
"It sounds like everyone at the news station is one big family!" Di cheered.
"It's wonderful," Jojora choked, "I miss it so much."
"Not to like change the subject," Dry Bones said, "But I see some koopa leaves in that basket, and I've been dying to make steak wrapped in koopa leaves for everyone."
"Oh, please, help yourself!" Jojora insisted, handing the skeletal chef a fistful of leaves.
"Really? Thanks so much, Jojora, I can't wait to cook with these!" Dry Bones sounded elated.
"Well," Spike mumbled, "I think it's that time when everyone awkwardly leaves."
Spike held the door open as everyone exited the room, but Junior hung back for a moment, catching Flurrie's eye.
"Could I talk to you for a moment?" Junior asked Jojora. Jojora eyed Flurrie, nodding her head for the wind spirit to go, and Flurrie left the room. Alone in private, Junior and Jojora sat down around the table opposite from one another.
"So, what's up?" Jojora inquired.
"I just wanted to know in what direction you were aiming to go in with the nominations," Junior answered.
"If you're asking if I'm nominating you," Jojora phrased it quite brusquely, "Then the answer is yes."
"W-what!?" Junior was a bit shocked.
"Well we saved Toad for a reason," Jojora narrowed her eyes, "And I'd watch you innocent you make yourself up to be, Junior." She continued, "You've played dirty a few times, and there's some people in this house who wouldn't be upset to knock you out."
"Like Toad," Junior blew out hot breath, "He hates me after…,"
"After the veto game," Jojora cut him off, "Which is why we saved him. Now this I can do for you."
He perked up immediately.
"Since you came to see me, and neither Spike nor Dry Bones did, I'll grant you some amnesty. You can pick who goes up beside you, and then you'll be the pawn. This week, you won't go, but losing an ally will do about as much damage," Jojora explained.
"Well I can't do that to Dry," Junior said, "He's a good guy."
"Then Spike it is!" Jojora smiled, "Consider yourself lucky, Junior."
"I wouldn't count your Yoshis before they hatch, Jojora," Junior seethed, "You never know what can happen."
"Point taken," Jojora smiled, "But I'd batten down the hatches, Junior, because a storm is coming, and it's not going to be pretty for you and your comrades."
Sighing, Junior rose and left the room, his conversation with Jojora turning out to be an utter failure.
He wallowed downstairs, signaling to Dry Bones and Spike to join him in the cabana room. They quickly swept into the soundproof room, sitting down on the single wrap-around couch and discussing the situation.
"How'd it go?" Dry Bones inquired.
"It was a disaster," Junior huffed, "She said they saved Toad because he's pissed at me for the veto competition. That way she can nominate Spike and I and have the votes to eliminate one of us."
"Damn," Dry Bones cursed, "I thought for sure we could flip her mind."
"To what?" Spike asked, "She's got her two allies and then Toad and Koops aren't really fans of us. You could see it coming from a mile away!"
"He's right," Junior pointed at Spike, "I guess we have to hope for a miracle on this one."
"I doubt we'll get one," Dry Bones spoke dejectedly, "There's not many moves we have left, all of our cards have been played."
"Then we wait out the storm," Spike advised, "There's no point in griping over things we can't control."
With Spike's words of wisdom, the Wrecking Crew disbanded and filed out among the house to do various things with their day before the nomination ceremony, sincerely hoping there could be some prayer that would save them.
After Junior left the HOH room, it was Toad and Koops who occupied Jojora's presence next. Filtering into the posh room, the two men sat down on the couch while Jojora spoke from her bed, wrapped up in her sky blue blanket that had the words, "Joke's End," sewn into it.
"So, we just want to know why you evicted Plum," Toad opened the conversation.
"Because I figured we could work with you," Jojora answered, "As evidenced by the deal us three made in the pantry before the eviction."
"Clearly," Koops nodded, "But why save us over Plum?"
"You two have a rocky history with the rest of the guys," Jojora replied, "If you side with us, we help you take them out."
"So how do we know we just don't make fourth and fifth in this competition," Toad fired back.
"It's the same situation over there," Jojora alluded to the boy's alliance.
"What makes this any different?" Koops questioned.
"We haven't wronged you," Jojora shrugged, "And I think you could take us in competitions near the end of the game over the boys."
"Spike is tough, and Junior plays dirty," Toad nodded.
Koops: I wasn't super sure about siding with Jojora and the women, but she's brought up some valid points. If we join them, we get to take out the physical threat of Spike, the social threat of Dry Bones, and the all-around asshole that Bowser Junior is.
"So it's settled?" Jojora lifted an eyebrow, "Are you coming with us?"
Toad and Koops shared a look, and then nodded.
"Wonderful!" Jojora smiled, "Now it's only a matter of time before the three of them are toast!"
Toad and Koops shook hands with Jojora, pleasantly leaving the room while the blue fairy happily nestled into her blanket, loving the perks that came with power.
For the rest of the day, everyone milled about, fulfilling the afternoon by the pool, in the kitchen, or out in the yard. When the sun settled on the horizon and began to dip back into the sea, Jojora opened the sliding glass door and called everyone in for the nomination ceremony.
"Hey everyone," she said, "It's time for the nomination ceremony."
Prior to calling in the others, Jojora had made her decision in the HOH room. Selecting two keys, she wrapped them up tightly and placed them in a red velvet pouch, storing it within a cabinet in her room. Carrying the tray downstairs, she placed the heavy ring on the table and watched as everyone sat down, lumps of anxiety bulging in their throats.
"This is the nomination ceremony," Jojora clapped her hands together, "As Head of Household, one of my duties is to nominate two houseguests for eviction. I will pull the first key, and that person is safe. They will pull the next key, and so on and so forth."
Jojora reached a blue hand forward, plucking the first key from the ring.
"Di," Jojora smiled, "You are safe."
The Sprixie happily accepted the key and looped it around her neck, pulling out the second key with a gingerly grip.
"Flurrie!" Di chirped, "You're safe!"
"Thanks, dearie," Flurrie said to Jojora, removing the next key.
"Toad," Flurrie spoke, "You are safe."
Toad rose, his blue vest rippling with movement as he gladly took the key. He smiled with the knowledge he was safe, something he hadn't been in quite some time.
Removing the next key in the line, Toad pulled it out and handed it to a relieved Koops.
"Koops, you are safe," Toad said with delight, and the koopa took the key. There was but one left, and it went to either Dry Bones, Junior, or Spike. Two of the Wrecking Crew would be nominated, and one would be spared. Reaching forward, Koops removed the key.
"Dry Bones," he stated, "You are safe."
"Thank you, Jojora," Dry Bones noted, smiling warmly at the blue fairy. He accepted the key and looped it around his neck, nerves standing on end as he witnessed his two partners face nomination.
"As you can see," Jojora began, "I have nominated you, Junior, and you, Spike, for nomination. There are clear lines of division between alliances in this house, so I'm simply nominating the two biggest threats from the other side."
Spike nodded in rough understanding, while Junior sighed with disappointment.
"With that being said, this nomination ceremony is adjourned," Jojora spoke with finality, and everyone rose from the chairs. Jojora hugged the nominees, faking good will. Everyone hung around and hugged one another, as the custom was. All the while, the nominees were wracked with anxiety.
Spike: I can't say I didn't see this coming, but I think Junior will go before I do. The veto's ahead, so I can bust out my muscles and cream these pansies!
Junior: I've played a bit dirty in the past, and now that's coming back to bite me. But I'm the King of Vetoes, so I can win another one no sweat!
Jojora: This was the simplest nomination ceremony ever! With one of those lugs out of the house, we can actually make progress around here! Toodaloo!
Who will win the power of veto next time on-
"Attention Houseguests!" Chen T. boomed, driving a wedge right in the ending of the nomination ceremony. All of the houseguests were in the kitchen, but they bolted into the living room upon Chen T.'s dire announcement.
They all crowded into the living room, looking up at her on the television screen in anticipation of what she would say next.
"As you all know," she winked, "Big Brother's motto is expect the unexpected! As such, we have planned a surprise game that might just reverse all of the power."
Junior: So as soon as I get nominated, Chen T. starts talking about reversing the power. That's what I'm talking about!
Jojora bit her nails with a nervous shiver while the Wrecking Crew looked on in awe.
"This game will only be played by six houseguests. The winner will acquire a special power that may be used within the next three weeks. Three of the contestants have been selected by default, they are Jojora, the current HOH, Spike, one of the nominees, and Junior, the other nominee. Di, Koops, and Dry Bones have been randomly selected to play in this challenge, meaning Flurrie and Toad must sit out.
Flurrie: I was quite thankful I had to sit out, because it was evening and I was tired. I don't think I could've performed well at all!
Toad: Sitting out of this surprise challenge made me antsy, but I could deal with it. I don't think I'm anyone's target anymore, maybe Junior's though.
"Please immediately proceed to the backyard," Chen T. instructed, and everyone flushed out of the living room and into the backyard, gasping as they saw the set up of the game.
There was a towering can of paint, massive in girth and height, situated in the backyard. Railings were positioned around it and there were tiny spaces for footholds. There was a giant paint brush situated sideways so that is could paint the paint can.
"This is how the game works," Chen T. called out over the loudspeaker in the backyard, "It's called Painting the House Red. The six participants will stand on the giant paint can, which will begin spinning around as they try to hold on the longest. Meanwhile, as you pass the paintbrush, it may or may not slap you with a healthy dose of bright neon paint! The last person remaining on the spinning wheel of paint will win this secret power!"
Everyone understood the rules, and Flurrie and Toad watched in wonder as the six participants stood on the paint can. They held on to the rails tightly, not having much space as they were backed up against its surface.
"Alright houseguests, I'll see you soon," Chen T. laughed mischievously, disappearing from the loudspeaker and cuing the challenge. The paint can began to spin, and its occupants expressed emotions ranging from excitement to sickness.
Ominous clouds rolled over the Big Brother house, and by the end of this game, Jojora's plans could come crumbling down.
Who will win this impromptu challenge? How will it affect the rest of the game? Also, who will win the coveted power of veto? Find out how will remain on the block or who will get replaced! All of this and more next time on Big Brother: Chai Kingdom!
