A/N: Ok, so fanfiction is quite foolish. I deleted the announcement chapter because it was kind of unnecessary, and then fanfiction had like a heart attack because of that and won't let anyone review the new chapter. I think that's evidenced by Time Lord Howl. Anyway, thanks to TLH for reviewing, and I think everyone else can't review because of the glitch thing.

Which means no thank-you to the reviewers this time around.

Previously on Big Brother: Chai Kingdom!

After falling short during the HOH competition, the Wrecking Crew need a hymn and a prayer to pull off another week of safety.

"That was less than spectacular," Dry Bones sighed, "We needed a win."

But with Jojora in power, the Wrecking Crew got knocked from all sides and Toad found himself redeemed in the game.

Toad: There is a God! Without one, there's no way I'd be in the house. Two times in a row I've evaded eviction, but can I do it again? Hopefully I won't have to, but you never know in the Big Brother house. Flurrie saved me for a reason, so tomorrow I'm going to try and talk to her about why she made the right choice.

Seeing his social game could save him, Dry Bones set to work buttering up Jojora with a batch of banana pancakes.

"Why, I've never seen such a spread," Flurrie commented, "There's sausage and ham! You've outdone yourself, Dry Bones."

"Thanks," Dry Bones feigned a sheepish reply, "It was nothing, really."

"Are those banana pancakes?" Jojora asked upon arrival, "I love banana!"

Even Spike resigned from his grumpy attitude to make things smoother for the Wrecking Crew, helping out with things around the house.

Flurrie: That was so sweet of Spike! He's been quite grouchy, but I'm starting to see a nice side to him!

Spike: I came here for 500,000 coins. If I have to be sweet and nice and go soft for a few weeks, that's what I'll do. Whatever it takes to win.

However, the efforts of Dry Bones and Spike weren't enough, as Bowser Junior failed to broker a sound deal with Jojora.

"If you're asking if I'm nominating you," Jojora phrased it quite brusquely, "Then the answer is yes."

"W-what!?" Junior was a bit shocked.

"Well we saved Toad for a reason," Jojora narrowed her eyes, "And I'd watch you innocent you make yourself up to be, Junior." She continued, "You've played dirty a few times, and there's some people in this house who wouldn't be upset to knock you out."

But Jojora made Junior a deal as the pawn for his eagerness, and he chose Spike to accompany him on the block, saving Dry Bones' skull.

"As you can see," Jojora began, "I have nominated you, Junior, and you, Spike, for nomination. There are clear lines of division between alliances in this house, so I'm simply nominating the two biggest threats from the other side."

Hope seemed lost for the Wrecking Crew with two of their threesome on the block, but when Chen T. delivered the news of a shocking competition, the prayer the Wrecking Crew needed was answered.

"As you all know," she winked, "Big Brother's motto is expect the unexpected! As such, we have planned a surprise game that might just reverse all of the power."

Junior: So as soon as I get nominated, Chen T. starts talking about reversing the power. That's what I'm talking about!

Tonight, how will the results of this surprise game alter the competition? And will the power of veto be used to save Spike or Junior from nomination? All of this and more tonight on Big Brother: Chai Kingdom!

Episode 14: The Coup of the Century

Chen T. disappeared from giving her instructions, leaving the six players on the paint can to the will of the challenge.

Flurrie: By not competing in this game, I have to rely on Di and Jojora, but I know if our power is on the line, they will surely rise to the occasion!

It was at that moment, when Chen T. disbanded her directions that the towering can of paint began to spin. It started slowly at first, but began to pick up speed as the game continued. Coming around the corner for the first time, Dry Bones prepared himself for the menacing brush of paint. It slapped him in the face, leaving neon hues of scarlet splayed across his bony visage.

Dry Bones: There's all this paint everywhere, and the brush hurts like hell, and you can't see anything, and your arms hurt from gripping onto the bar while your legs are on fire. This was the toughest competition we've had yet.

The can spun round and round, not yielding to the strong stroke of the brush. Di giggled as she got coated in red paint.

"It matches my hair!" She giggled with an airy laugh.

Di: My strategy to be the ditsy one has totally paid off. With Flurrie's and Jojora's back to back HOH wins, I am the least feared of the three, meaning if they somehow obtain power and come for us, I won't be the one taking the fall.

The six on the can soon found it quite unbearable to hold on. There was little room for their feet, and with their backs pressed up against the can, it was hard to hold on to the waist-level metal bar. The brush did not stop, smacking those who came past it with little consideration and much power.

Jojora: I don't even care about the paint brush! The whole time I'm up there, I'm only thinking about how one of the boys has to lose, because if they win, we could lose our hold.

The game went on for about ten minutes this way, with everyone holding on and griping about the pain and paint.

Koops: I'm up there on this stupid can of paint, and I realize I don't even need this. All winning would do is bring unwanted attention to Koops or myself, and I certainly don't want that to happen. So my best bet at this point is to jump off and let these two alliances wage war.

Koops murmured something about his shins hurting.

"Alright over there, Koops?" Spike asked with a gruff call.

"I'm thinking about jumping," Koops admitted, "My shell is making it hard to stand upright on this thing." With a valid excuse, Koops flung himself from the can and rolled onto the pads below, eliminating himself from the game.

He moved over to where Toad was and sat beside him, knowing his move was for the best.

Toad: Although I would have liked to have whatever this power is, I know having it would have only made Koops and I targets, so I'm glad he did the sensible thing and jumped.

Three strong men faced two women. Di's small and fragile frame couldn't keep up with the can and the paintbrush for too long and she quickly faded from enjoying the bright hues of the paint to absolutely despising them.

"How're you, Di?" Jojora called as she took a face full of paint brush.

"I hurt," Di whimpered.

Junior: I hear Di say she's hurting, and I'm thinking that it's all the better for us. If Di jumps off, we have a three in four chance of taking this thing home!

"Can you stay on for much longer?" Jojora inquired of the red fairy who couldn't muster up a reply. Sensing her little legs giving out, Di jumped from the can and lighted down on the pad, taking herself.

"There, there," Flurrie said encouragingly, "You did your best." She comforted Di whilst the tiny fairy scooped paint out of her hair, grumbling about the challenge.

Four remained, and it was Jojora against the Wrecking Crew. A blue steel formed in her eyes, and the Channel 64 reporter wasn't going anywhere. They spun around and around and around, all the while Jojora held on and braced herself against the hard brush.

Spike: I could hold on for hours, but Jojora isn't giving up. I know Junior's physical, but I got a little worried about Dry Bones up there.

Dry Bones was locking up, and he tried to move his skeletal body to better position himself. He swung one of his arms out of the bar, hoping to maneuver himself to a more comfortable position, but he ended up slipping. Tumbling to the ground, the bony chef hit the pads and cried out in vain.

"It's alright," Spike said, "No worries."

Dry Bones angrily carried himself over to the benches where he watched the fate of the game play out. Junior, Spike, or Jojora, one would win this special prize and the others would feel its effects.

The game continued on for what seemed like an hour. All three were holding their own, and it didn't look like anyone was going anywhere anytime soon. Flurrie had gone inside and brought out some soup for everyone since the producers had made the temperature in the backyard quite chilly.

"You go Jojora!" Di cried, cheering on her friend. Dry Bones stared down Spike and Junior, nodding at them to stay focused. Koops and Toad didn't do much but chat amongst themselves as the challenge progressed.

Suddenly, Spike fell. It came out of nowhere, and the burly man would later blame it on his large feet, which didn't have enough room on the can.

Spike: There was about two inches of room for your feet, and with these clodhoppers, I can't stand with only two inches of room!

It was down to Junior and Jojora. One would win the game, and the other would not. Whoever won would bring power to their alliance. It was the challenge of the summer, and Jojora grimaced with pain as she tried to readjust herself.

Jojora: I know I have to beat Junior, but I don't know how much longer I can hold on for. I've been up here for two hours almost, and it's really starting to hurt. I don't know if I can take it.

Jojora pulled out her hardest for the win, but it wasn't enough. With her arms on fire, the blue fairy jumped from the can. She couldn't take the burn anymore, and Junior roared with victory as he disbanded himself from the game.

Junior: Booyah! That's another challenge under my belt, baby! Look out girls, because whatever this power is, it's going to bite hard!

"It's alright," Flurrie hugged the paint-splashed Jojora, "It's alright. We'll be fine."

Junior excitedly chatted with Spike and Dry Bones as he high-fived them, paint splattering everywhere. Chen T. gave everyone time to shower and rinse off the red paint before calling them into the living room to hear the results of the challenge.

"As I said," Chen T. remarked, "This power may be used any time within the next three weeks. It will expire and disappear from the game if it's not used by then. Junior, please go to the Diary Room to receive your special power."

The television clicked off, and Junior rose and exited the living room.

Flurrie: Hopefully this power won't be too intimidating. I can't see it being anything ridiculously powerful.

Junior sauntered off to the diary room, where he opened the door and found a blue box with a yellow question mark on it waiting for him. Opening the box, he pulled out a token that stunned him.

It was a glittering red necklace with a massive HOH pendant on it, but the "o" in HOH had been crossed out with a red "x". Loving the appearance of the reward already, Junior listened as Chen T. appeared on the screen to tell him what the reward did.

"Junior, you have won a special power called Coup d'état," Chen T. explained, "With this power, during any of the next three weeks, you may come to the diary room and tell me you would like to play. What it does is this," she paused to soak up Junior's anticipation.

"If you play the coup," she continued, "You will be able to remove both of the nominees the HOH has nominated for the week. You may replace them with whomever you desire. The HOH cannot be nominated however. This must be done after the nomination ceremony, but before the veto ceremony."

Junior: Holy crap! Spike and I are on the block and I can take both of us off? This is insane!

Junior didn't hesitate with his response.

"I'm playing it now," he smirked.

"Once you play the coup, you cannot take it back," Chen T. warned, "Are you sure?"

"Positive," Junior smiled, a wicked gleam in his eyes.

"Spike and yourself have been removed from the nomination block," Chen T. confirmed, "Who would you like to replace them with."

Cackling, Junior knew exactly which two nominees would rain down on Jojora's parade. Although Koops was a traitor and Toad was a brat, Junior was in this for the long haul, and he knew he needed to play smart.

"Flurrie and Di," Junior nodded.

"Are you sure?" Chen T. raised an eyebrow.

"Once again," Junior smiled, "Positive."

"Please join the others in the living room for the Coup d'état," Chen T. commanded, and Junior happily obeyed. Leaving the room and heading over to the living room, the son of Bowser rubbed his hands together in nefarious anticipation of the chaos he had just wrought on the house.

"Houseguests!" Chen T. bellowed, appearing on the television, "Junior has staged a coup!"

"Oh that sounds awful," Jojora blurted out, despair seeping into her eyes.

"Junior must now stand before the house and explain his actions," Chen T. directed, and Junior happily did just that. Rising to stand before everyone, he flashed the ruby red pendant around his neck, and Flurrie went ghost white. She squeezed Di's hand on the couch while Jojora felt her heart beating a bit faster. Toad and Koops, while unharmed by the event, did not yet know that and trembled with fear.

Spike and Dry Bones were loving every second of it.

"With this," Junior smiled, "I can remove the nominees the HOH made. This must be done before the veto competition."

Everyone hung on to his every word.

"I get to name both replacements. As luck would have it, I am currently on the block, along with my good buddy Spike. So with this," he took the pendant off of his neck, "I would like to save myself and Spike from nomination."

"No!" Dry Bones cried in ecstasy, while Spike laughed with mirth.

"It is done," Chen T. nodded, confirming Jojora's nightmare, "Spike and Junior, please step down from the nomination block and find a seat on the couches."

"Before I do that," Junior laughed, "I must name two replacements."

Toad: Fabulous. I thought I could finally avoid a week of being nominated. Looks like I was wrong.

Jojora: *Crying* I just w-w-wanted to enjoy being HOH…and-and, n-n-now this monster of a brat child goes and just-just r-r-ruins it all!

"Flurrie and Di," Junior waved, "Please, get comfortable on those nomination chairs."

Di's mouth hung open while Flurrie sadly shook her head. The two took their new seats in the rough bamboo chairs while tears started falling down Jojora's face. She was Head of Household, and her two best friends in the game were the nominees.

"There is still the power of veto competition," Chen T. reminded everyone, "Until then, good luck houseguests." The television clicked off, adjourning the ceremony, which immediately dropped a bomb in the Big Brother house.

"You conniving brat!" Jojora spat, "I can't believe you!"

"Jojora," Flurrie held up a hand, but Jojora shrugged it off.

"Mad?" Junior sneered, "Oh come on, this is a game. Just accept it. That was fair. I won the competition and I used the power the prize held to advance myself and my alliance."

"So we've drawn a clear line in the house?" Dry Bones sighed, throwing up his hands, "Us on one side and you women on the other?"

"We're still here, you know," Koops pointed out, "And to be fair to Junior and the others, I'm grateful you didn't nominate Toad and I when you very well could have."

"Ugh!" Jojora shouted, tears stinging in her eyes, "I can't stay down here right now." She fanned herself and quickly jogged up the stairs, leaving the outrage occurring downstairs behind. Shaking her head, the wind spirit floated up after her while Di stayed in the kitchen.

"I respect that," Di nodded to Junior, "It was a good game move."

"Thanks," Junior shrugged.

"That doesn't mean I like you," Di spoke with vindictive venom.

"Oh," Junior felt a little awkward.

Flapping her pixie wings, Di joined Jojora and Flurrie in the HOH Room, closing the door behind them. Downstairs in the kitchen, Dry Bones turned to Koops and Toad.

"We didn't forget you were here," Dry Bones sighed, "It's just, there have been divisions in the house that I want to remove. Last season, the house split in half right at this point, during the fifth week. I don't want to play out what happened then."

"Why?" Toad sneered, "Because that's when the alliance in power lost control?"

"I…," Dry Bones was a bit stunned.

"It'll come down to the veto," Koops spat, "And I'll fight for it if I'm picked. You three push everyone in this around! I'm sick of it!"

"I-I don't push people around!" Dry Bones was infuriated.

"You get flustered when things don't go your way," Toad pointed, "Right now you're pretty flustered."

Koops shook his head and retreated to their elegant corner room. Toad stared down the Wrecking Crew and followed suit.

Dry Bones: My social game is crumbling to pieces at my feet. I really wish Junior had counseled with us before using the coup. It caused a massive rift in the house, and now it's five on three. Even if we knock one of them out this week, they still have the comparative advantage.

Night settled over the house, and Dry Bones slept uneasily. He ran various outcomes of the veto game in his head, wondering how everything would play out depending on who won the veto. His thoughts blurred into a lull, and he soon nodded off in his bedroom.

When the morning sun rose over Chai Kingdom, the house awoke with an uneasy stir. Animosity buzzed about the houseguests, as the actions of yesterday left bloody and broken scars in everyone's minds. Jojora didn't come downstairs until half past ten, when the meager breakfast Dry Bones had whipped up deflated into mere crumbs.

"Excuse me," Jojora said rather rudely, nudging Junior to get out of the way of the trashcan.

"Is anyone going to clean this kitchen?" She asked, "Or do I just have to do all of the cleaning in his house?"

Sipping his coffee coolly, Spike didn't say a word from the counter. Huffing with wrath, Jojora knocked over the trashcan and watched as the trash spilt out on the floor.

"We have recycling too, you know," she huffed to no one in particular, sorting through the plastics and papers and properly assigning them to specific bins. Done with her chores, she angrily stormed out of the kitchen and into the backyard.

"Someone has unnerved Queen Bee," Junior stifled a laugh.

"Hold your tongue," Flurrie snapped, floating into the room, "It's not nice to talk about people behind their backs."

"Sorry," Junior looked down, respecting the elder woman's opinion. Flurrie carried a cloud of respect about her, and even Junior listened to her.

Junior: This morning got me thinking about how much influence Flurrie carries in the house. If she made it to the end, everyone would vote for her. She's the head of the dragon, and I have to slay her.

As Flurrie left the kitchen and floated off into the backyard, Junior whispered over to Spike.

"I think if we secure the veto," he hissed, "It needs to be Flurrie."

"No problem with that," Spike shook his head, nodding in confirmation. Junior smiled to himself and took a bite of the red apple in his hand. He would have to share his plan with Dry Bones, but for now, they had to make sure the veto went off without a hitch in order to weave Flurrie's demise.

"It's time to pick players for the veto competition," Jojora announced, emerging from the diary room some time later. She carried the purple velvet bag in her hand, and she grimly approached the living room. Sitting down in the rickety bamboo chairs, Flurrie and Di unhappily posed. They felt as if they shouldn't be in those chairs.

Di: Sitting in this chair feels awfully wrong with Jojora standing at the head of the room, but I have confidence that this veto can go down swimmingly.

"As Head of Household, I shall compete in the veto competition," Jojora announced.

"And so will the two nominees," she awkwardly whistled as Flurrie and Di joined her in the front of the room.

"The other three participants will be chosen by random draw," Jojora continued, reaching into the bag. She was delighted to pull out Toad's chip.

"Alright!" Toad cheered, happy he would play in the veto since he did not get to vie for the coup.

"Koops," Flurrie smiled warmly, picking out the chip of their other male ally.

Koops merrily joined them in the front of the room.

Spike: It's a shame that Koops and Toad got picked. We needed some strong representatives of the Wrecking Crew up there. I just hope Junior gets picked, since he's already proven his prowess in veto competitions.

"Spike," Di said, holding up the construction worker's chip. The burly man groaned, rising from his seat and joining everyone up front.

Jojora: This is super. Neither Dry Bones nor Junior got picked, and now I'm going to make Dry Bones the host since I want Junior to have nothing to do with this veto game!

"I also must pick a host for the competition," Jojora stated, "And I pick Dry Bones."

"Thanks!" Dry Bones clapped.

"Big Brother will inform us when the veto competition is to begin!" Jojora cheered, pleased with the results of the player selection. She immediately went back upstairs, distancing herself from the rest of the house.

Flurrie and Di soon joined her, and the women began discussing the possibility of the veto.

"We're fine," Flurrie smiled, "We have a five in six chance of winning the veto against Spike of all three of them."

"I know," Jojora nodded her head, "That selection went perfectly."

"So what do we do now?" Di inquired.

"We wait for the veto," Jojora instructed, "And when it happens, one of us just has to win. Then we take either your or Flurrie down, replace you with Junior, and evict him."

"Sounds perfect," Flurrie smacked her lips together, "If Spike wins the veto, and I'm sure he won't, then we'll have to worry, but for now, either Toad or Koops could win and they'd be indebted to us. If they turned on us now, we'd never forgive them."

Di: Would we Flurrie? I didn't know you made my decisions for me? If Spike wins the veto or Toad and Koops win and don't help us out, I'm ready to cut Flurrie and let her hang out to dry. I won't put my game down for her sake.

The time for the veto competition had dawned on the house, and the six houseguests participating followed Dry Bones out into the backyard. Taking his seat on the bench, Junior watched nervously as everyone went out into the backyard.

Spike: I have to win this veto for my team. I'll do whatever it takes. I haven't won a competition so far, but I have to do this for Junior and Dry. They've had my back since the start.

The other five weren't too worried about besting Spike given his track record, and everyone oohed and awed at the various flora and fauna that made up the backyard. What caught their eyes were six side by side cages. The walls were made of concrete slabs so you couldn't see the persons on your left or right, but you could see through the front due to the metal bars.

"Welcome to the Big Brother Zoo," Dry Bones read the card from his podium, "Today, you'll all be put in cages like the animals you are." He laughed a bit at that, realizing the horrible truth in it after yesterday's coup challenge.

"Once you're in your cage, I'll offer up a reward or a punishment. All you have to do is press your clicker. The red light in your cage will glow if you were quick enough to nab the reward or the punishment. Rewards are quite nice, but you'll have to give up points for them. Punishments are quite cruel, but you'll earn points for accepting them. Everyone begins with fifty points. The houseguest with the most points in the end after we reveal the results will win the golden power of veto!" Dry Bones explained, and everyone clapped and cheered with understanding.

Spike: Spike's strategy is to accept every punishment and ignore the rewards.

Dry Bones and Junior shared a mixed look as they watched the six enter their cells, the mysterious game for the veto launching into action.

"This first offer is quite tantalizing!" Dry Bones snickered, "Who would like to earn eight points for the price of having to take a bath in custard every hour for the next twenty four hours!"

Someone immediately pressed their button, and the punishment had been scooped up.

"Alright," Dry Bones coughed, "Someone is the eager beaver."

Flurrie: My my, I have a feeling all of these punishments are going to disappear quickly, and I think I might know who's scooping them up so recklessly.

"Who is willing to earn ten points by wearing a penguin suit for the next week?" Dry Bones asked. Once again, the offer disappeared in no time, and they moved on to the next offer.

Jojora: I know Koops and Toad weren't plugging for punishments, which means Spike had to be scooping up these heinous offers!

"Who would like to give up twenty points for a check for…," Dry Bones didn't get to finish his sentence, "Five thousand coins."

Someone had hit the buzzer mid-sentence, and Jojora cried out in anguish.

Toad: Do I look like I care if Jojora's pissed? I'm walking away from this thing with some money!

"Alright," Dry Bones whistled, looking at the next card, "Who is willing to give up fifteen points for a phone call from home?"

Someone hit the button after about a two second delay, and Dry Bones moved on to the next card.

"Who is willing to earn ten points by shaving their head bald?" Dry Bones questioned the six in the cages. There was no response for a bit. But then someone took the bait.

"Oh my," Dry Bones laughed, "This should be fun."

"Who is willing to give up twenty points for a trip for two to Delfino?" Dry Bones asked.

That one disappeared in nanoseconds.

Di: I'm growing super concerned. If the rewards keep on disappearing, and the other women aren't taking these punishments, then Spike will swoop in and claim the victory with no problem.

"Who is willing to earn five points by only being able to speak through a sock puppet for twenty four hours?" Dry Bones asked. Someone took this one rather quickly since it didn't seem too terribly difficult to them.

"Alright," Dry Bones shuffled his cards, "Who is willing to earn six points by having a bedtime of eight o'clock for three nights."

After a few seconds, someone took this punishment. Going to bed that early wouldn't be fun at all, but if someone was to win the veto, they had to take the punishments.

"Who is willing to give up thirty points for a guaranteed spot in next week's veto competition?" Dry Bones asked. This offer wasn't as satisfying to some, and the offer fizzled out.

"Last one," Dry Bones commented, "Who is willing to give up fifteen points to get a personal item from home?"

The offer disappeared quickly as well, concluding the anonymous acceptance. With the claiming portion of the competition over, everyone stepped out of their cages and walked over to Dry Bones and the reveal board.

"Alright," Dry Bones said, nervously sharing a look with Junior, "It's time to see who prevailed and who got punished." He smiled wildly, approaching the covered slots.

"Time to see who will be bathing in custard!" Dry Bones opened the card.

"Spike!" Dry Bones announced, and the construction worker shook his head in shame. It was quite the punishment, but he felt he could power through it for the veto.

"Next, who will be wearing a penguin suit?" Dry Bones questioned.

"Spike again!"

Flurrie: I had not predicted that Spike would readily accept all of these shameful punishments due to his pride, but his alliance is in such a tight spot that we should have seen this coming.

"Who gave up points for a check for five grand?" Dry Bones inquired.

"Toad!"

Jojora: I was very disappointed that Toad took the bait. It means he cannot be trusted in this alliance if he's going to throw competitions for his own betterment.

"Who is going to Delfino for twenty points?" Dry Bones asked.

"Toad again!"

Toad: Jojora can yell all she wants, I'm the one with a sum of coins and a trip to Delfino!

"Who will be forced to shave their head?" Dry Bones asked.

"Spike!"

Di: I have a feeling Spike just took every punishment before Dry Bones even finished. This is not good at all…

"Who gave up some points for a phone call from home?" Dry Bones questioned.

"Koops!"

Koops sheepishly rubbed the back of his neck, feeling embarrassed but embracing how homesick he was at the same time.

Koops: You can't blame me for missing my family…

"Who will be speaking through a sock puppet for twenty four hours?" Dry Bones asked everyone.

"Why it's Jojora!"

"Who will have to be going to bed every night at 8 o'clock?" Dry Bones inquired.

"Jojora!"

Spike: This is fabulous! Jojora accepted all of the low-scoring punishments, so she's going to suffer for no reason!

"No one accepted the veto ticket," Dry Bones announced, "But someone did accept the personal item from home."

"Koops!" Dry Bones called, revealing Koops as the one who took the bribe.

"Alright," Dry Bones rubbed his hands, "After tallying up the points, the winner of the veto with seventy-eight points…,"

"Spike! Congratulations, you have won the golden power of veto!"

Spike: This feels amazing! Now, not only can we keep ourselves off the block, but we can eliminate Flurrie or Di. With one of them gone, all we have to do is win the next HOH and the women's alliance is toast!

Jojora: This is a disaster! Now Flurrie or Di is going to go home and I can't go on without both of them…I can't even speak right now I'm sick to my stomach!

Looping the golden veto around Spike's neck, Dry Bones patted his shoulder in pride. Toting the talisman inside, Spike felt wonderful about his recent victory and the house dispersed like someone had dropped an atom bomb. Feeling grim, Jojora lay in her bed alone, not even wanting to socialize with Flurrie or Di.

"Just give her some time," Flurrie soothed Di in the hall.

"I don't see what she's so upset about," Di said half-angry, "We're the ones on the chopping block, not her."

"But she's going to be losing an ally in either of us," Flurrie frowned, "Which isn't good."

Nodding, the Sprixie and the wind spirit parted ways, while down in the cabana room, the Wrecking Crew celebrated.

Junior: What needed to happen, happened. We have the veto, Flurrie and Di are on the block during Jojora's HOH, and now it's time to sandbag one of them and take control of the game again.

"Do you think we have any leverage with Toad and Koops?" Dry Bones hypothesized, and Junior shook his head.

"I only think we could pull either of them during a number situation," Junior brainstormed, "But still, they know they're fourth and fifth in any alliance they choose."

"Point taken," Spike nodded, "So since I'm not using the veto, who's going home?"

"Flurrie?" Junior asked the group, and Dry Bones nodded with a sickening gulp.

"I love Flurrie," Dry Bones shook his head sadly, "She's sweet. However, she's sweet enough to win a check for five hundred thousand coins, and we can't let her progress. Di will ruin her own game later down the road."

"We need to get rid of Flurrie while we can," Spike nodded, "Five people are voting, and we have the majority with three."

"So we nail in Flurrie's coffin, right?" Junior asked. Despite their prowess in the game, the Wrecking Crew truly felt sorry about targeting Flurrie, but it was the best move for their game.

The next day, tensions rose in the Big Brother house as the time of the veto ceremony approached.

Jojora: Today, Spike's going to hold the veto, sealing Flurrie and Di as the nominees. There isn't much to talk about. We didn't even bother holding counsel with the Wrecking Crew.

Dry Bones smiled uneasily as the women arrived downstairs. Rising from their corner room, Toad and Koops joined everyone in the kitchen while Dry Bones dished out maple bacon and orange slices. Everyone munched on the food, not really discussing anything with one another.

"Junior," Jojora blurted, "Can we talk in the cabana room?" She asked.

"Yeah," Junior nodded, getting up and bringing his plate with him into the room.

Sitting down on the couch, Jojora looked at the son of Bowser.

"I just want to know where your head's at," Jojora breathed.

"Honestly Jojora," Junior sighed, "You were so rude to me in your HOH room the other day, that I'm sorry Flurrie or Di has to go home over you."

Jojora looked like she had been slapped in the face.

"You were so smug," Junior said sternly, "But the tables have turned. Now one of your friends is going home."

"You're really mean," Jojora sounded hurt.

"Only to those who provoke me," Junior sneered.

"Like the wild animal you are, hmm?" Jojora harrumphed, leaving the room after learning Junior had no intention of helping her out. The rest of the day passed uneventfully, with Spike and Junior working out in the backyard, the women sunbathing themselves, and Koops and Toad enjoying the hot tub.

As the time for the veto ceremony approached, Spike retrieved the golden medallion and summoned the rest of the house to the living room.

"Hey everyone," Spike called into the backyard, "It's time for the veto ceremony."

Nodding, the rest of the house joined him in the living room. Sitting down in the uncomfortable bamboo chairs, Flurrie and Di awaited their sentence while everyone else settled down into the plush white couches. The oriental theme in the room made Flurrie and Di a bit more at ease, calming their nerves while Spike proceeded to begin the meeting.

"This is the veto ceremony," Spike began, "Jojora, as HOH, nominated myself and Junior for eviction. However, with the power of the coup, Junior replaced those nominees with Flurrie and Di. As the winner of the power of veto, I have the power to remove one of those nominations."

"Before I make my decision, I will give both Flurrie and Di the chance to state their case as to why I should use the power of veto on them, starting with Flurrie," Spike explained, and the mauve wind spirit rose to talk.

"My dears," Flurrie began, clasping her hands together, "It pains me to see Jojora so upset and worried during her tenure as HOH. She should be enjoying the power, but someone had to ruin it for her. However, I shall admit defeat with grace, and request you only use the veto on me if you deem it the right thing to do."

With that elegant speech, the wind spirit sat back down and Di rose.

"Well," Di played with a red curl, "I think I've been super fun and charming. I'm also super pretty, so if you keep me around you can look at my face."

She sat back down, sharing a smile with Jojora.

"After hearing both of your pleas," Spike concluded, "I have decided…,"

"Not to use the power of veto."

Flurrie nodded with acceptance, while a cold flame kindled in Di's eyes.

"With that being said," Spike murmured, placing the veto in the oaken box resting on the table, "This veto ceremony is adjourned."

He closed the box definitively, ending the meeting.

Spike: It sure is going to feel good watching Flurrie or Di walk out of the Big Brother house during Jojora's HOH!

Flurrie: I shan't campaign against Di, and if it's my time to leave the game, it is my time.

Di: God I hate this. Now I have to ensure Flurrie goes home. This is happening too quickly into the game for my strategy to pay off.
