A/N: Well, we didn't get that many reviews for the previous chapter, but I'm guessing it's because I'm not waiting that long to publish the next one XP. I obsess over double evictions, they're so active and bustling with drama! So, without further ado, I shall thank those who reviewed and then we can get to the spicy double eviction!
Flashfire912: Thank you! I got your PM! Dry Bones is that kind of person who'd bake you a cake and then poison it. Flurrie's got lots of good plans, but will any of them become reality?
ultimateCCC: Tensions get hotter tonight, my friend! Thanks for the loyal reviewing!
TheJoker21: Gossip? Hmm, ok XP And we'll see who goes home. Maybe just one, maybe both, or maybe neither!
RockinBros: I don't think Koops is that bland, and Toad's personality is kind of wonky, but I do agree that Spike is quite bland. The Four Winds do have tension, and Flurrie's plan to bring a hated houseguest to the end with her could mean someone you dislike might make it far. But will she even succeed? And I know, at the end of the chapter I was like, DRY BONES BAKED A CAKE!
PuzzlingGamer: Thank you! Look at all those wind puns XD. We'll see who the target is tonight, and who follows them out the door!
Firedragon24k: Oh well hello! It's been a while since you've reviewed! Thanks! Most of the games are revolved around Mario Party Mini-Games, save the quizzes and occasional competition. Thanks again!
Previously on Big Brother: Chai Kingdom
Koops expressed his anger with being a continuous target of the house.
Koops: I…of course I've had a tough time! I'm normally so shy and sheepish, but I can't take this much longer. I've been a beaten piñata ever since I walked through that front door!
Little did he know, The Four Winds were targeting Spike, and neither he nor Toad were in any immediate danger. However, as secret as the alliance of four kept their plan, Spike still caught wind of it.
Spike: I don't think for a second that I'm safe. They just don't want to give me an automatic ticket to the veto competition.
Koops gave Toad a heated pep talk.
"If your sinking your ship," Koops spoke with a chilled calm, "Fine with me. But just know that on the day of the veto, I intend on kicking some ass."
Koops: If anyone has reason to sulk, it's me, but I'm not. Toad needs to man up and face the facts that his game isn't over until he says it is.
When confronted with the possibility of four strong players advancing to the end, Flurrie concocted a plan to win the jury over.
Flurrie: Why in Grambi's good name would I get rid of Spike or Toad? Both of them have next to no friends in this game, so sitting next to them at the end would be an absolute cakewalk to the money! I must consider this!
However, when she shared the news with Jojora, the newscaster believed keeping Toad over Spike would be to their betterment.
"You've got a point," Jojora mulled it over, "But he's unpredictable. It'd be a much better bet to take Toad over Spike."
"Yes, I thought you'd say as much," Flurrie stared down into her coffee, "Well then, we have our target. Rid of Spike, keep Toad."
At the veto competition, Koops blasted his way to the gold.
KA-BOOM!
The bowser head exploded into a million pieces, and Koops jumped into the air with a victorious pump of his fist.
"Yes!" Koops cried, "Yes!"
Spike nearly fell, but he held onto the pavilion for support. Gliding off of the platform, Flurrie took the golden veto and looped it around Koops' neck.
"Congratulations Koops!" Flurrie cried, "You have won the power of veto!"
Following the game, Spike collapsed, not being able to comprehend the magnitude of his loss.
"Whoa!" Junior cried, whipping around and seeing Spike on the ground, "Spike! Spike!"
"What has happened?" Flurrie asked, seeing the fallen man. In her Bowser suit she raced to his side, tossing off the costume in horror and fanning the man.
"Medic! We need medical!" Flurrie shrieked, "Someone get out here!"
"He's in shock," the medic deduced.
With Spike feeling better and Koops' mind made up, the letter sorter removed himself from the block, allowing the Four Winds to set their plan in motion.
"I have decided to use the power of veto on myself," Koops said with a nod, and everyone respected his decision. He sat down next to Flurrie and Jojora and addressed Junior.
"Well guys," Junior clapped his braced hands together, "I love you all, and love this game and things we've shared, but I have to make a decision. I know you're not feeling the best, and I hate to add to the burden on you at the moment, but Spike, please, take a seat."
Tonight, Chen T. drops the bomb that a double eviction will occur! Who will be evicted, Spike or Toad? And who will walk out the door behind them just moments later? Found out all of this and more tonight on Big Brother: Chai Kingdom!

Episode 18: Double the Lies, Double Goodbyes
As the veto ceremony drew to a close, Spike and Toad remained on the nomination seats. One of them would be going home, and the other would live to fight another week in the Big Brother house. At the present, Spike rose and shook hands with the men, respecting their decision.
Spike: About time someone did something about these guns! I'm quite surprised this is the first time I've been the target. I knew that backdoor looked mighty welcoming this week.
Koops gave Toad a quick knuckle-bump, knowing he could still keep his friend safe. With the threat of eviction looming, Koops didn't have much time to act, but he always resurfaced when they thought he was out, so he was sure he could do the same for Toad.
Koops: I've definitely worked hard to be here, and I know if I can convince Toad that he needs to stay, he'll campaign for himself.
Flurrie and Jojora stuck to the outskirts of the living room while Junior tended to the damage control. Spike didn't bring much drama to the table, so luckily, none of them had to console him. Toad had already been on the block, so there wasn't any hustle or bustle following the veto ceremony.
"Is anyone hungry?" Dry Bones asked his favorite question.
"Truth be told?" Toad asked, "I could use a drink."
"Now that is something I can agree with," Flurrie smiled, floating over to the kitchen and fishing out the single bottle of merlot they had for the week. Removing seven glasses from the cupboard, Flurrie poured the red wine and passed it out to everyone.
"What shall we drink to?" Flurrie inquired of the other six.
"To Big Brother," Spike smiled, "If I'm the target, I'm the target. Nothing's going to change that. I've had an amazing time, and I'd hate for it to be ruined with last minute deals and sneaky strategies."
"To Big Brother," Flurrie responded, and everyone clinked their glasses, all of them happy for the first time in a long while. After the drinks, the houseguests bid one another goodnight, and they all split up to their respective rooms. Dry Bones joined Junior once more in the HOH room, while Spike slept in his new arrangements with Koops and Toad. Flurrie and Jojora sauntered back to their bedroom, and all was quiet in the Big Brother house.
The next morning, the houseguests milled about and didn't speak of much. Dry Bones whipped up cream waffles with orange sauce, serving the fruity pastries to the others. When he was done, he returned to the storage room to put away some of the ingredients he didn't use when he was accosted by Toad.
"Dry," Toad whispered, "Can we talk?"
"What's up?" Dry Bones asked, not looking at Toad as he stashed an orange in the basket.
"Well, as a fan of the show, I'm almost positive we've got a double eviction coming up," Toad voiced his opinion, "I want to know if I need to be worried."
"Well we should all be worried!" Dry Bones laughed incredulously, "What makes you so sure we've got a double eviction headed our way?"
"Just call it a gut feeling," Toad replied.
"Look," Dry Bones glowered down at Toad, "We've always been on opposite sides of the fence. Would what make me want to help you now?"
"We've got a common goal," Toad smiled, "We both want to win this game. I've realized that I won't win. I've been unlikable and flighty, and the jury won't vote for me."
"Oh?" Dry Bones acted as if this was news to him, when he really laughed inside his head.
"However, if someone took me to the end, they'd undoubtedly win," Toad pulled his trigger, delivering the head of his argument.
Toad: The only way I can get to the end is if I convince someone it's a good move to make. Junior hates me, Spike's going home, and the women would never turn on one another. That leaves Dry Bones, and if he takes the bait, I can ride to the finals on his coattails.
"So what you're saying is that you want to go to the end together?" Dry Bones asked, "Am I wrong?"
"That's right," Toad smiled, "You know you'd lose against Flurrie or Koops. I don't know how you'd fare against Junior."
"It's definitely something to consider," Dry Bones smiled, "I'll think about it."
"Good to know," Toad replied, waving and exiting the storage room.
Dry Bones: Hell no am I going to think about it. That conniving brat wants me to take him to the end so he can win! I need to have someone by my side people hate more than Toad, and that's Junior. He's played a bloody game, and if I took him to the end, I'd be handed the check.
In the HOH room, Junior lazily snacked on potato chips as Dry Bones walked in, ready to report the conversation he'd had with Toad.
"What's up?" Junior asked.
"Toad talked to me in the storage room," Dry Bones said, "He said he thinks we've got a double eviction coming up."
"Ok?" Junior was confused, "Why'd he tell you that?"
"Well there's something else," Dry Bones swallowed, "He wants me to take him to the end, because he thinks no one would vote for him."
"That idiot," Junior scoffed, "He really said something like that to you? Hmph, what a clown. He's definitely next to go."
"My thoughts exactly, the only person I have any interest in going to the finals with is you," Dry Bones replied, "We've been in this together since the start."
"Right on," Junior nodded, kicking up his feet and enjoying his last few days of being HOH.
Throughout the day, Spike didn't fish for votes. He realized his allies were slim, and only Koops would be voting. The votes were up to Flurrie, Jojora, Koops, and Dry Bones. He knew it'd be unanimous, and he knew it was his time. So, in a good spirit, he spent the rest of the day talking with the others and sharing stories of home.
"There's a big hospital we're going to be building soon in the Mushroom Kingdom," Spike regaled Jojora with his development plans, "The whole point is to provide a shelter for those whose homes were damaged during the hurricane last summer. The Mushroom Kingdom doesn't have enough shelters if you ask me."
"That's awesome," Jojora smiled, kicking her feet lightly in the sparkling waters of the pool, "I'm sure we'll cover the project's development at my news station."
Jojora: Talking about things outside of the Big Brother house is really nice, it helps reconnect with reality. When this is over, I still want to be friends with a good deal of the houseguests.
As Spike and Jojora talked and Junior and Dry Bones kicked back in the HOH room, Flurrie sunned herself and chatted with Koops.
"So, dear," Flurrie smiled, "What was that little thing between you and Vivian?"
"Erm…excuse me?" Koops turned a bright shade of scarlet.
"Oh don't be coy darling!" Flurrie scolded, "Did you get a kiss? When I met Frank, oh, let me tell you! He was the strongest wind spirit of our time! He could conjure winds that'd make a twister tuck in its tail! Ohoho!"
Relieved at the change of subject, Koops rubbed the back of his neck. His confidence and will to fight had definitely risen inside the Big Brother house, but any mention of Vivian tied his tongue. He didn't know how his relationship with her stood, and when this was all said and done, he wondered if she'd ever talk to him again.
The day passed uneventfully, and the cameras panned out and instead focused on a ravishing figure in a billowy shirt and sleek dress pants. Chen T. smiled at the camera, golden earrings dangling from her acute earlobes. She flashed a dazzling smile, her purple shirt flowing like the wings of an angel as she cued the live show.
"It's been a week of twists and turns inside the Big Brother house. The Wrecking Crew was demolished, and the Four Winds formed under one common goal. To eliminate Spike and knock out the remaining players in the wake of his foiled plot. Tonight, either Spike or Toad will leave the house, and another houseguest will soon follow them out the doors! I'm Chen T. and you're in for a week's worth of Big Brother!"
The crowd clapped like mad, reveling in the opportunity to see this event live. Chen T. turned and smiled for the camera, always capable of putting on a show. With one more blinding flash of teeth, she raised the mic to her lips.
"The live eviction is about to begin, so let's check in on the houseguests!"
The JumboTron to her right blinked to life with a live feed of the houseguests in the living room. Spike sat on one of the nominations chairs next to Toad. Toad had changed into a green vest with golden trim, and Spike had own a Mushroom Kingdom Construction Group shirt. The rest of the houseguests sat around them as Chen T. buzzed to life on their own tiny television screen.
"Hello houseguests!" She cried, spooking them for a moment but then earning a chorus of happy shouts.
"Once again, it's that time. Tonight, either Spike or Toad will be evicted from the Big Brother house for good. But first, I have something I need to share."
Toad looked at Dry Bones with a knowing smile, and Chen T. dropped the bomb.
"Tonight is a double eviction," she explained, "Not one, but two houseguests will walk out the front door and be banished from the house for good. We have an HOH competition, a bid for the power of veto, and yet a second eviction ahead of us, so we must get started immediately."
The houseguests shared anxious looks of surprise and fear, wondering how this gruesome night would turn out.
"Before we are to evict, both of the nominees have a chance to say one last speech to the houseguests before they cast their votes, Toad, you're first."
Toad rose, smiling at the others and clapping his hands. "Well," he began, "I've been up here more times than I'd have liked, but I've had a wonderful time and hope you all vote to keep me. Was that brief enough?"
"Wonderful job," Chen T. joked, and she turned her attention to Spike, who rose and looked out over the others with a grim visage.
"Well, we all know how this is going to end," Spike addressed them, "I've had a good time, but I made a few mistakes. I'll walk out that door knowing a played this game how I would've played it, and not anyone else could've told me otherwise."
"Thank you, Spike," Chen T. nodded, and the construction worker took a seat. The other houseguests turned to Chen T., awaiting further instruction.
"Junior, as HOH, you will only vote in the event of a tie. Neither of the two nominees may vote. One by one, the rest of you will enter the diary room and cast your votes to evict. Koops, you're up first."
Koops rose from the couch and headed for the diary room. Along the way, Chen T. attempted to analyze his vote.
"Koops is close with Toad, and even though he's in an alliance with Spike, he should be voting to evict him," Chen T. explained. Koops entered the diary room and sat down.
"Hey Chen T.!" Koops waved.
"Hello Koops. Please cast your vote to evict," she requested.
"With a heavy heart, I vote to evict Spike," Koops told her, rising from the seat and leaving the room. He passed Dry Bones on the way in, high-fiving the skeletal koopa.
"Good evening Chen T.," Dry Bones waved a bony hand.
"Hi Dry Bones, please cast your vote," Chen T. asked.
"I'm voting to evict Spike," Dry Bones nodded with decision, leaving the room behind. He passed Jojora, and on her way in, Chen T. broke down her strategy.
"As Flurrie's ally and a member of the Four Winds, Jojora's vote should seal Spike's fate," Chen T. explained.
"Hey Chen T.!" Jojora sang, smiling at the hostess.
"Hey Jojora, please, tell me who you'd like to send home," Chen T. explained.
"I choose to evict Spike, thanks!" Jojora cried, rising from her chair and leaving the room. With a solemn look, Chen T. faced the cameras, reading out the fate of the construction worker.
"It's official, with three votes to evict Spike, Spike will leave the house tonight. Let's see where the rest of the votes fall," Chen T. said as Flurrie entered the diary room.
"Hello Flurrie!" Chen T. waved.
"Hey there my dear," Flurrie winked.
"Please cast your vote to evict," Chen T. asked.
"I vote to evict Spike," Flurrie nodded, rising and floating out of the room. She glided into the living room, taking a seat next to Jojora. Spike shared a look with Junior, and then Chen T. appeared on the television.
"Houseguests! The votes are in. When I read the name of the evicted houseguest, he will have just a few moments to grab his belongings, say his goodbyes, and exit the Big Brother house for good. Do you understand?"
Spike had his hands on his knees while Toad looked relatively calm.
"By a vote of four to zero," Chen T. informed them, making Spike wince a bit.
"It's official Spike, you've been evicted from the Big Brother house."
The screen switched off, and the reality sunk in for Spike. He rose from the chair, shaking hands with Toad, Dry Bones, Koops, and Junior in turn. He gave a quick hug to Flurrie and Jojora, and then strapped his duffel bag around his shoulder.
"Be good," Spike smiled, "I've got a hand in the winner, you know. See you then!"
"Bye Spike!" Everyone chorused, watching the construction worker go. He heaved open the door, took one last look at the house, and then exited. He walked through the connection and then opened the door that led to the stage. The crowd cheered for him, and he gave out several high-fives as he made his way over to Chen T. She sat on the wrap-around couch she used for interviews, and Spike dropped his bag and sat opposite the hostess.
"Well," Spike said, "Here I am."
"Here you are," Chen T. said, brushing back a strand of raven hair. "Tell me Spike, did everything go as planned?"
"Not in the slightest," the burly man said, "I was tired of being ignored, so I made my move, and it caused my destruction."
"Do you think if you had stayed with Dry Bones and Junior, that you would have had a shot at winning?"
"No," Spike stroked his beard, "I believe I would've lost to Dry Bones. He's made no enemies, and the only person who can beat him now is either Koops or Flurrie."
"What makes you say that?"
"Koops has been fighting on hell of a battle, and he'd win the game out of respect. Flurrie's been charming everyone since the moment she stepped in the house," Spike replied.
"You seem to have it all figured out," Chen T. laughed, "So why are you out here, and not in there?"
"I tried to dethrone the power in the house, and when you have no power, that's a tough thing to accomplish. I probably should've waited a week, but my blood was boiling," Spike informed her.
As he talked to Chen T., the houseguests inside the Big Brother house watched as his picture on the memory wall faded from color into black and white.
"Half of its discolored," Toad noted, pointing out how only six faces remained vibrant with color. Vivian, Diddy, Shokora, Plum, Di, and Spike had all been evicted, their pictures simple reminders of the past.
"Final six," Junior whistled, "We're halfway there."
Outside the house, Chen T. wrapped her interview up with Spike.
"Well, in the event you were the one evicted tonight, the houseguests taped some goodbye messages for you," she explained, and the burly man watched with interest.
Toad: I seriously hope you're watching this, because if it's not you, it's me. Despite the bad moves you made, you're a stand-up guy, and I can't wait to talk outside the house.
Flurrie: Oh Spike! When you fell I was so concerned! However, you went against the majority in this game, and I could not look past that. Best of luck to you, my dear!
Dry Bones: Since the first day we were working together, and I seriously hoped the Wrecking Crew would go down in history as one of the greatest alliances ever. You wrecked that dream, and now you're sitting outside of the house because of it.
Junior: I don't understand why you even plotted against me when I was HOH? Are you dumb or something? See you later!
"Junior's not thinking straight," Spike commented, "He's forgetting we pick the winner."
"Well Spike, you'll have plenty of time to decide on your vote in the Jury House. Plum and Di await!" Chen T. waved.
"It could be worse. Shokora could've made jury," Spike cracked a smile, and he earned a chorus of laughs as he waved goodbye and exited the stage, out of the game for good.
"When we come back, the houseguests fight for power as the double eviction kicks off! Who will win, and who will be nominated? Stay with us."
The cameras rolled back in, and Chen T.'s flowing purple shirt caught the dazzling lights of the stage, making her look splendid.
"Before we left, Spike was evicted from the Big Brother house. Now the power is back up for grabs, and with another eviction looming over the houseguests, everyone's fighting for their lives," Chen T. explained, and the JumboTron switched to an image of the backyard.
Junior was seated on an old saloon stool, and he had a bandana around his neck and a cowboy hat on his head. The backyard was designed like the Wild West, and tumbleweeds and cacti dotted the backyard to create a dry ambience. An old shipping train was in parts, each car filled to the top with coal save one. It was in the middle of the yard, and had a spring-release hatch on the top. Above it were two mechanical towers that could dispense flags, and standing before this mechanized train car were five sharp-shooters, each dressed in cowboy regalia and clutching a pellet pistol in their hands.
"Welcome to the Wild West Houseguests!" Chen T. cried over the loudspeaker. "In just a few moments we'll compete to see who will become the newest Head of Household. When the spring on the hatch releases, the train car will open and dozens balloons will pop out, each of a different color. A flag will be dispensed from the tower, showing the color you aim to shoot. Each round, there will be one less balloon of that shade than houseguest, so one of you will be left in the dust. The ones who manage to shoot down the balloon will remain, and the odd man out will be eliminated! The houseguest to shoot the balloon first in the final round will be crowned the new Head of Household? Does everyone understand?"
The houseguests confirmed their understanding of the game.
"Good," Chen T. said, "Get ready to play Big Brother Draw!"
With those words, the spring released and out popped a superabundance of balloons. The sight was baffling, and coupled with the sudden dispensing of the brightly colored flag from the towers, it made for a confusing sight. The flag was bright yellow, and the houseguests recovered from their momentary shock to shoot down the first yellow balloon they saw, only four floating in the air.
Pop!
Dry Bones had immediately sighted a yellow one, and his aim was precise on the first shoot. Pleased, the skeletal chef would be moving on to the next round.
Jojora had located a yellow balloon, but her aim was sluggish. Seeing her fail to shoot down the balloon, Koops sighted the yellow orb and pulled the trigger, cutting it down.
Pop!
"You cad!" Jojora cried, furious that Koops had stolen her shot. In her anger, she failed to nice another yellow balloon soaring high above her, but it caught Flurrie's eye. The retired actress pulled the trigger, hoping her aim was true.
Pop!
Flurrie, Dry Bones, and Koops would be moving on. Only one balloon remained, and it would either be shot down by Toad or Jojora. It was concealed for the moment, but as a purple balloon in front of it floated away, one houseguest noticed the yellow hue, and shot the inflated orb out of the sky.
"I'm sorry Jojora, but you have been eliminated, please take a seat," Chen T. instructed, and the news reporter sulked away. Toad, Flurrie, Koops, and Dry Bones would be moving on. They braced themselves as the tower and car reloaded, and when the spring released and the balloons poured out, they were much less scared than before. This time, they hunted a forest green balloon. Last time, the bright hue of the yellow made it easy to spot, but this time, the dark shade of the green made it a tricky one to find.
"Haha!" Koops cried victoriously, sighting a balloon and shooting it down.
Pop!
He was moving on, and only two green balloons remained. Dry Bones saw one in the corner, but it was far from his range. He helplessly fired at it, but it was to no avail. Seeing him struggling, Flurrie sighted the balloon, and since it was much closer to her, she shot it down with ease.
Pop!
Either Dry Bones or Toad would be left behind, but the bony koopa would not be giving up yet. He found another green balloon at the same time Toad did, and both of them fired pellets at it like mad.
Pop! Pop! Pop!
Several balloons popped in the rapid fire, but someone had hit the green one first.
"Unfortunately for you, Toad, you've been eliminated," Chen T. announced, and the student kicked the ground.
"Just one game! I want to win just one game!" He cried in vain, angrily stomping out of the scene and going to sit with Junior and Jojora.
It was between Flurrie, Koops, and Dry Bones, now. One would win, and two would be left to the new HOH's designs. They waited patiently as the train car and the tower reloaded, and they had all prepared themselves to fire as the balloons rose into the air and the tower shot out a flag red as blood.
"There!" Flurrie smirked, finding one with ease. It had been released right before her, and she aimed her gun.
Pop!
"What? I didn't fire!" Flurrie shrieked, noticing a smug Dry Bones beside her. Realizing what he had done, the wind spirit howled with disdain, returning her eyes to the balloons as quickly as possible. From Koops' stance, he was doomed, because Flurrie found another with ease.
Pop!
"You're out Koops, please take a seat on the side," Chen T. instructed. Flurrie winked at Dry Bones, challenging him to a duel to the end. It was him or her, one would be crowned HOH for the second time on this delicate evening. If there was a time to be HOH, this was it.
They sweat bullets as the train car reloaded. It was the final round, and only one would walk away with the title of Head of Household. The tower shot out the flag and the train car released the balloons. They were searching for turquoise, and Flurrie and Dry Bones panicked to find the sole balloon amid a sea of floating rubber.
Pop!
Someone had shot it down, but who had done the deed? Chen T. announced the winner, and the victor danced in celebration.
"Congratulations Flurrie! You are the new Head of Household!" Chen T. sang, leaving the houseguests to their own devices. Flurrie sang with a cheery spirit, and Jojora rushed over to hug her. The wind spirit took of her hat and led the group back inside. Dejected, Toad and Koops knew what would unfold. The opposite alliance held the power, and one of them would be leaving.
Flurrie immediately found solace in the cabana room with Jojora. Dry Bones attempted to enter the room, but Jojora pushed him out.
"Just a quick word, alone," Jojora hissed, slamming the door shut on Dry Bones and causing a bit of alarm.
"We need to think fast," Flurrie checked herself, "This could be the time to eliminate a big one."
"Koops and Toad would be so loyal, and we could destroy them so quickly!" Jojora seethed, her eyes alive with the fires of power.
"Who to nominate?" Flurrie pursed her lips, "Koops and Toad? Backdoor Dry or Junior if neither win the veto? We don't want to screw ourselves here."
"Perfect plan," Jojora smiled, "If anyone but them win the veto, we'll backdoor Dry Bones."
"Got it," Flurrie nodded, following Jojora out of the room and into the living room. Dry Bones accosted Flurrie in the hall.
"What are you doing?" Dry Bones asked.
"Koops and Toad," Flurrie said, and Koops was within earshot. He had figured as much, so he simply made his way into the living room. From a distance, Junior strode up to Dry and received the plan through a whisper, and he smiled. Tonight, he believed, his nemesis would be going home.
"Flurrie!" Chen T. boomed, her face flickering into view on the television in the living room, "It's time to cast your nominations! We have not a moment to spare!" Flurrie scooted into the room, and everyone sat down on the couches.
"I love you all," Flurrie smiled, "I truly do. But tonight, I'm choosing to nominate Toad and Koops for eviction."
"Toad, Koops, please sit in the nomination chairs." Chen T. instructed. Toad sat down in his regular chair.
"Why, I've made a butt impression I sit here so often," Toad narrowed his eyes, evidently annoyed.
"You two know how it is," Flurrie pleaded, "It's four on two at this point, and I wish everyone the best of luck in the veto competition. This meeting is adjourned."
Koops and Toad rose from the chairs, Flurrie hugging both of them tightly. The motherly figure didn't want to nominate anyone, but she had to make a choice. The six of them returned to the backyard, where it had been changed into a simple game for the veto competition.
The Wild West theme remained, but the train cars were gone. Instead, before them lay six massive bins, filled to the brim with packing peanuts. The six houseguests lined themselves up in front of the pins that had their names on them, and looked at the podiums near the end. Each podium had a slot for two cards to go, and a buzzer to ring in on.
"Houseguests!" Chen T. said over the loudspeaker, "This game is elimination-style, very much similar to the HOH competition we just completed. I will prompt you with a question about any of the houseguests in the game, evicted or still competing, and the answer will revolve around two of them. Find the two cards bearing the names of the correct houseguests amidst your own personal bins, and bring them back to your podium and buzz in. The last houseguest to complete the task each round will be eliminated. The last houseguest standing will win the golden power of veto!"
"Does everyone understand?"
The usual chorus of confirmations rose from the houseguests, and Chen T. set off the first question.
"Which two houseguests were in a rumored showmance at the beginning of the game?" Chen T. asked, and the six of them took off at the sound of the buzzer. Junior and Koops were the quickest, diving headfirst into their bins and tossing packing peanuts aside like mad. Flurrie was more methodical in her approach, while the others tossed peanuts aside in one specific region at a time.
Junior and Koops both exited their bins at the same time, inserting two cards into their respective podiums and pushing the button. Jojora soon joined them, followed by Toad. However, Toad only had one card, and he placed it on the podium and ran back to the bin to search for the other one. Flurrie did the same, and so did Dry Bones. These three were searching for the cards one at a time. Jojora, Junior, and Koops had all clocked in, and the others were still searching.
Then, Dry Bones burst forward and came back with the second card, followed closely by Toad. When the two of them buzzed in, Flurrie still hadn't found her second card, and she accepted the loss with a nod.
"Sorry Flurrie, but you're out," Chen T. explained, and the wind spirit went to go observe the rest of the competition.
"The rest of you correctly buzzed in with the answers, 'Vivian and Koops'," Chen T. spoke, "Prepare yourselves for round two. Which two houseguests had to sleep on the couches in the beginning stages of the game?"
As the buzzer chimed, the other five ran into the bins. Toad scattered the packing peanuts like mad, determined to win at least this competition if nothing else. Junior shoveled out the packing peanuts as he had before, and quickly located the first card he needed.
In his bin, Koops panicked as he couldn't find either card. He knew the answer, he just couldn't find the right cards. He began to sweat as he noticed both Toad and Junior return to their podiums with both cards, and the letter sorter could only hope either Dry Bones or Jojora were having worse luck than he.
Jojora scooped out peanuts in large chunks, knocking cards onto the ground. There, she would sort through them until she found the proper ones. Finding the two she needed, she dashed back to the podium and buzzed in.
It was either Koops or Dry Bones who would be eliminated, and Koops desperately needed this veto. He had won three, and his heart pounded at the prospect of losing this one when it mattered most. He cried out in a weak protest as Dry Bones slammed his bony fist down on his buzzer, and Chen T. called the round.
"Koops, you have been eliminated," she spoke without emotion, addressing the other four, "The rest of you correctly buzzed in with the answers, 'Shokora,' and, 'Spike,'."
"Ready yourselves for round three," Chen T. explained as Koops glumly sat down next to Flurrie. The actress rubbed his shell, comforting him in his darkest moment.
"These two houseguests got in an argument over cheating following a veto competition," Chen T. delivered the situation and sounded the buzzer, triggering a flurry of activity. The four dashed for their bins, scooping out packing peanuts and throwing them everywhere. Toad and Junior were fueled by the fire of the very argument they had shared, knowing this question was about their altercation following Chain Chomp Fever.
With the situation being about them, Toad and Junior rung in simultaneously, having found the cards quickly due to the passion with which they searched. Dry Bones or Jojora would be out next, and as Dry Bones found the first card he needed, the second was nowhere to be found. Jojora repeated her strategy of scooping the peanuts and cards onto the floor, and it worked.
Dashing back to the podium, Jojora inserted her cards and buzzed in, praying she was safe.
"You're out Dry Bones!" Chen T. called, "The rest of the houseguests buzzed in correctly with the answers, 'Toad,' and, 'Junior'."
Dry Bones sat down next to Flurrie and Koops, awaiting the result of this competition.
"Round four is next," Chen T. prepared them, "Excluding tonight's eviction, which two houseguests were evicted unanimously?" This question was not as cut and dry as it had been before, and as the buzzer sounded throughout the backyard, the houseguests wondered what the answer was. Thinking back to the previous evictions, they made their decisions and flung themselves into the bins, searching for the proper cards.
Jojora scooped packing peanuts out onto the floor, desperately hoping to find the two cards she needed to secure the plan to backdoor Dry Bones. It would make for a historical night, and she wanted to be the one to make it happen.
Toad knew he would be going home if he didn't pull this off. He had no knowledge of the plan to backdoor Dry Bones, and he threw packing peanuts everywhere. Finding the ones he needed, he took off for the podium. Sliding them into the slots, Toad slammed his hand down on the buzzer, locking his answers in.
It was down to Junior and Jojora, and only one arrived in time with two answers, slamming their hand down on the buzzer.
"Jojora and Toad have locked in their answers," Chen T. announced, "But Jojora is incorrect. The answer is, 'Vivian,' and, 'Di,' Jojora." Jojora had not chosen Vivian's card, but Diddy's instead. Anger flowing through her system, she kicked the podium and shot Junior an annoyed look.
"Which means Jojora has been eliminated and Junior and Toad will be moving on to the final round," Chen T. explained, and Jojora joined the others on the sidelines. Junior looked at Toad, sneering with a snide grin. Toad was determined win, to prove to Junior that he should've won that veto before, and the only reason he hadn't won anything yet was because Junior had cheated that day.
"This for the win," Chen T. reminded them, "Round five. Name the two houseguests that have been nominated for eviction, the least, out of those remaining in the game." The buzzer sounded and the two shot off, determined to find the right answer. The two fought like bats out of hell, a frenzy in their eyes. They thrashed and threw the packing peanuts everywhere, and when they both returned and locked in their answers, Chen T. commented on the situation at hand.
"The correct answer was, 'Junior,' and 'Dry Bones," Chen T. explained, "And both of you supplied the proper answer. However, Junior was faster, so he has won the golden power of veto!"
Her voice was sucked out of the backyard like the air in Toad's stomach. As Flurrie begrudgingly looped the golden talisman around Junior's neck, Toad looked sick. He had tried so hard, and yet he had lost again to Bowser's twerp.
Koops wrapped an arm around Toad and led him inside while Chen T. called for the veto meeting on the television. Toad and Koops lowered themselves into the rickety bamboo seats, awaiting Junior's decision.
"This is the veto meeting," Junior explained, "Flurrie has nominated Koops and Toad for eviction, but I have the power to veto one of those nominations."
"Normally, I would give the nominees a moment to explain why I should use the veto, but since I do not wish to use the veto on either nominee, there is no point. I have decided not to use the power of veto," Junior grinned, taking the golden charm from his neck and placing it in the wooden box, slamming it shut.
"Very well," Chen T. said on the screen, "Koops, Toad, in just a few moments, the others will vote to evict one of you from the game for good. Before they do however, you both have one final moment to plead your cases to the rest of the house. Toad, we begin with you."
"Well guys," Toad said, a lot more solemn than the speech he had given when he sat next to Spike, "I really don't want to go, but I've made a lot of mistakes and I'm honorable enough to own up to them. When you vote, please think long-term, and don't vote me out on emotions."
"Thank you, Toad," Chen T. nodded, "Koops."
She only spoke his name, but he knew what it meant. Rising from his seat, Koops faced the others.
"Guys, I do not deserve to go home. I have fought and fought to be here, and I desperately want to stay. You know I'm a swing vote, and I'm a strong competitor. Please consider these things when you go to vote, because I'll fight for anyone now," Koops said, and he sat back down.
"Thank you, Koops," Chen T. smiled, "Flurrie, as Head of Household, you will not be voting. Neither will the two nominees. One by one, the rest of the houseguests will enter the diary room and cast their votes to evict. We start with Junior."
The son of Bowser rose to head for the diary room and Chen T. began yet another voting diagnosis.
"Junior is thick with Dry Bones, and he despises Toad. It will be no surprise if he votes to evict Toad," she explained. Junior entered the room, sitting down on the couch.
"Hey Chen T.!" Junior waved.
"Hello Junior," Chen T. smiled, "Please cast your vote to evict."
"Good riddance Toad!" Junior smirked, rising from his seat and heading back to the diary room. Dry Bones chest-bumped him on the way in, sitting down on the couch and smiling at the camera.
"Hello Dry Bones," Chen T. greeted him.
"Salutations," Dry Bones greeted back.
"Who do you vote to evict?" Chen T. asked him.
"I vote to evict Toad," Dry Bones nodded, "Sorry dude, but your time is up." Dry Bones exited the room, and Chen T. spoke to the camera with a grave voice.
"It's official. With two votes to evict Toad, Toad will leave the house tonight," Chen T. announced. She turned back to the diary room, where Jojora waited.
"Hi Jojora," Chen T. smiled, and the blue fairy returned the greeting.
"Please cast your vote to evict," Chen T. ordered.
"I vote to evict Toad," Jojora said, waving to the screen and exiting the room. She made her way back into the living room, and she sat down on the couch opposite of Junior and Dry Bones. Koops and Toad both clutched the bamboo seats, their knuckles white with anticipation of the votes. Chen T. appeared on the screen, bearing the news.
"Houseguests! The votes are in! As a reminder, when I say the name of the evicted houseguest, he has but a few moments to gather his belongings, say his goodbyes, and exit the Big Brother: Chai Kingdom house, do you understand?"
Toad and Koops nodded in silence, awaiting the results.
"By a unanimous vote of three to zero," Chen T. announced, causing both to close their eyes.
"Koops,"
Koops looked stricken.
"You are safe. It's official Toad, you've been evicted from the Big Brother house."
"I thought I was golden there for a moment," Toad joked, rising from the couch and hugging Koops tightly. Koops shed a couple of tears, not wanting this moment to transpire.
"Kick ass," Toad instructed, waving a finger in Koops' face, to which the letter sorter nodded. Toad hugged Flurrie and Jojora in turn, and then shook hands with Dry Bones.
He turned to face Junior.
"I hope you get everything you deserve," Toad spat, not even waiting for a response as he shouldered his bag and exited the house.
As he crossed the stage, he high-fived the audience and accepted the clamorous cheers that rose to meet him. Inside, Junior simply laughed. The five houseguests remaining centered around the memory wall, and they watched in silence as Toad's picture faded from a bright display of red and white to a sunken image of grey.
Flurrie hugged Koops who nodded his head in acceptance, while Jojora and Dry Bones stood side by side, shaking their heads. Only Junior looked content, and he had reason to. Toad was gone.
"My, my," Chen T. smacked her lips, "What a dramatic exit!"
"Well, I had to do something right!" Toad joked, giving Chen T. a lame thumbs-up.
"Toad, your game was a sight to behold. You had highs and lows, more lows if we're counting, and you ended the game as a piece of collateral damage off the tails of Spike's mistake. How do you feel?" Chen T. asked.
"Well, I know how Toadette felt," Toad said glumly, "I'm seriously proud I made it farther than her, though. That's all I wanted to accomplish if not win. But I think I played my game with my heart, which is important."
"Well said," Chen T. nodded, "And in the event you were the one to leave tonight, the houseguests taped some goodbye messages for you. Let's take a look."
Jojora: Toad, you played a pretty bad game if I'm going to be honest. You're an emotional wreck and you can't keep your mouth shut, but besides that, you're alright. I'll see you on the other side.
Junior: Ha! Serves you right you whiny brat! You've had this coming for weeks now, but you kept on sliding by! Well, I'm glad you're gone, and I don't want your jury vote if I make it to the end, you hear me? No one accuses me of cheating!
Koops: Toad, you're my best friend in the house despite everything we went through, and if you're watching this, I'm truly sorry my friend. I can't wait to see you outside the house, and know I'll be fighting to win.
"Junior doesn't have to worry, I definitely won't be giving him my vote," Toad said, earning laughs from the crowd.
"Your relationship with Koops seemed powerful," Chen T. commented, "Do you think he'll be able to pull it off?"
"Well it's four against one right now," Toad shrugged, "But if I know Koops, I'll be seeing him in a chair inside the house on finale night."
"Well Toad, you were one to watch, but it's over now. You're off to the Jury House!" Chen T. cried, and Toad rose from the sofa, grabbing his bag and departing from the game for good.
"The power is back up for grabs! When we come back, the five remaining houseguests duke it out for the title of Head of Household! Stay with us," she winked, and the cameras panned out.
"Welcome back," Chen T. smiled, "Before we left, Toad walked out of the game for good. With the double eviction over, the power is back up for grabs. Let's head to the backyard and see who will emerge victorious?"
Koops, Dry Bones, Jojora, and Junior each stood in a booth in that order. The stalls had walls on each side so the person next to you couldn't see your answers, and before each houseguest lay a sliding triangle that could be turned to select either "A" or "B" as an answer choice. Flurrie sat at the bar-stool near the Wild West saloon, and Chen T. explained the game.
"This game requires you to know your evicted houseguests!" Chen T. roared, bringing the backyard to life, "Each round I will ask a question, and you must choose A or B. If you get it wrong, you're out. The final houseguest standing will be crowned the new HOH, do you understand?"
Everyone confirmed.
"Then get ready to play, 'Farewell Frenzy."
Flurrie watched in anticipation, desperately hoping Jojora could pull out the win.
"Question One," Chen T.'s voice rang, "When introducing himself, Spike claimed he moved to the Mushroom Kingdom as overseer of, A. Sports Complex, or B. A Stadium."
Jojora thought hard. She knew Spike told her his next project was a hospital, but what was he building now? She made her selection with a hopeful turn of the dial.
Dry Bones had infallible recall from the introduction night, always remembering what everyone said about themselves. He selected his answer with a confident turn of the dial.
Junior was mystified. He didn't pay attention to his kind of junk! Turning the dial without a clue, the son of Bowser made his selection.
Koops thought for a good moment, and then once he determined what Spike had claimed, he twisted the dial.
"The answer is A. Sports Complex," Chen T. read aloud, "Which means Junior is the only one eliminated. Everyone reset for the next question, and Junior, please step down."
Junior nodded, stepping down from the platform and grabbing a stool next to Flurrie. The other three reset and waited for Chen T.'s next question.
"Which houseguest was nominated during Week 2, A. Toad or B. Diddy?"
Koops had been HOH that week, and he slid the dial to choose the correct answer.
Ironically, Jojora had been the other nominee, so she turned the dial with a confident smile.
Dry Bones however seemed stumped. With a guess, he turned the dial.
"The answer is B. Diddy, which means Dry Bones has been eliminated," Chen T. announced, and Koops smiled with joy in his booth. It was down to he and Jojora, and he reset the dial as Dry Bones sulked away.
"Third question," Chen T. began, "Which houseguest shared a delicious recipe for tea with Flurrie? A. Plum, or B. Shokora?"
Neither houseguest knew the answer to this question, but Flurrie remembered. She still had the recipe tucked away in her room, ready to take home with her. Both contestants slid their dials to different sides, hoping for the best.
"The answer was A. Plum," Chen T. announced, and one houseguest pumped their first while the other looked down at the floor.
"Congratulations Koops! You are the new Head of Household!"
"Yes!" Koops roared, pumping his fist, "Yes! Yes!" He jumped up and down with delight, much to the chagrin of Junior and Dry Bones. Flurrie crossed the backyard to loop the key around Koops' neck, and the houseguests returned inside for the night.
"Koops is the new Head of Household, and as the dust of the double eviction settles, how will Koops nominate for eviction? Find out next time on Big Brother: Chai Kingdom!" Chen T. cried, "I'm Chen T., and from outside the Big Brother house, goodnight everyone."
