Chapter 15

"You have been sentenced to death for your high crime of treason. Do you have any last words?" The speaker making the announcement declared before the gathered crowd, as he spoke to Aldra. The woman, knowing that her life had come to an end, shook her head in the negative. She would accept her punishment, her death. She had been beaten, there would be no more fight from her.

"Even though she has nothing to say...I do." All eyes were then trained on the Queen of the Makai. Rin waited for the whispered shocked to settled before continuing. "Aldra, like myself, is a daughter of the West...and as such I believe that she deserves a second chance. As your queen, ruler of these lands, and all others of the Makai, I pardon you Aldra. But be aware. Shall another attempt on our father's, or his mate's life accrue, by your hand or another in your name, this sentence will be carried out. This your only chance for mercy." (1)

There was mixed cries of protest and agreements in the crowd. Rin could feel the Western Lords' auras shift at her speech and decided to continue. "I will understand any hesitation on Sesshomaru-sama or Hiei-sama's part in accepting Aldra in their court, blood relative or not. She will be welcomed in my home, as my sister, while she proves her rehabilitation." (2)

Never before had the King, or now Queen, of the Makai so intervened with the Cardinal Lords and the matters of their courts, yet there had not been a Cardinal Lady serve as queen before.

Sesshomaru's hands slid down the smaller frame of his lover and mate. The stress of everything that had happened since they had come to this time had caused him to miss his other half's attentions. They were ruling the Western Lands now, serving under the current Queen of the Makai, a woman they viewed as daughter. Now they felt they needed to enjoy their time together while they could. Kisses were trailed from the pointed ears that often hid within dark locks of spiked up hair, down a slider throat. The light colored lord stopped to suckle on the mark, proving Hiei to be his mate, the moan it caused only encouraging him to continue further down the smaller man's frame. Each nipple were paused over, so they too could be teased with tongue and fang.

Hiei at this point was fidgeting under his taller mate. Why did the inu insist on torturing him? Why was he so slow in the process of taking him? "Sesshomaru..." The shorter youkai growled out in warning. If his mate was going to continue to take forever, he would know how displeased it made the shorter male to wait.

Golden eyes looked up into his mate's red with a smirk. He knew how little Hiei enjoyed taking things slow. With years of stamina training as warriors, they could spend all night working out their stresses, working out their needs. Sesshomaru just wanted to remind his impatience other half that some things were meant to be savored. Slowly, he removed the last article of clothing on the dark colored one of the pair. The pants ended up somewhere off the side of their large bed. The smirk was back, his mate was bare before him, a buffet waiting to be sampled.

And sample he did. Sharp fangs took to his mate's manhood, pinching enough to be felt but not enough to draw blood. Sesshomaru nibbled every centimeter of his mate, from tip to base and back up again, earning him moans and the need to hold his lover's hips down. As much as he loved to tease him, he did not wish to really hurt him.

"Like that?"

"Fuck you." Hiei hissed back at his teasing and playful mate.

"I will be happy to get to that. Patience." Sesshomaru's lips smirked before taking Hiei fully within his mouth. His pace was slow and drawn out. Hiei's hips did their best to thrust up to meet the pleasant heat that wrapped him, as his throat let out joyous moans of the pleasure he was being shown.

Pride came with those sounds. Sesshomaru knew he was the only one able to draw such noises from his usually silent partner, he alone could make him squirm in need. Slowly, the inu lord of the west increased his pace. He wanted to draw out his mate's pleasure for as long as possible but did not wish to leave the other wanting for too long.

Hiei was quickly approaching his end now that his mate was moving faster, being more aggressive in his attentions. Slender, clawed fingers knotted themselves into silver locks as he finally saw his end. His body twitched and as his back arched into his mate, he finally reached climax. Sesshomaru pulled back to take in the entire view. The prideful youkai's lips pulled into a smirk, his tongue licked what remained of his mate's release from them.

Hiei found that the image of the predator in front of him had his blood heating up again, even after such a powerful release. Without a word, his smaller hands, one wrapped to ward the Dragon of the Darkness Flame, reached for his mate. Their lips meet and Hiei could taste himself in their kiss. His scent and taste belonged on his mate, just as his mate's belonged on him. Pulling away when his lungs screamed for air he finally addressed his mate. "Fuck me."

Sesshomaru was all too happy to comply with his mate's wishes and the ever present smirk on his face proved it. Grateful for the wonders of the modern world, he reached for the table beside their bed. There in the top draw was a bottle...lube had been around for much longer than the modern interruption but this was the easiest and worked better than the alternatives they were forced to use before their time jump.

Careful of the other male's comfort as well as pleasure, Sesshomaru soon set himself into the preparation of his lover. First just one slick finger entered Hiei, then a second. Within moments there were three fingers scissoring the smaller male, making him moan and squirm again.

"Hurry the fuck up." Hiei was breathless in his pleasure, his voice came out barely a heated whisper. "I am not some bitch you can just play with." (3)

Sesshomaru, still smirking, nuzzled his lover before removing his fingers completely. Before Hiei could miss the feeling of being completely filled, the fingers were replaced with his mate's throbbing erection. Very much in the mood to drag this out, Sesshomaru's thrust were slow and steady. Each move was meant only to tease and further excite his lover. Of course Hiei had other plan. Slender hips pushed into him quickly making him forget the slow pace. Golden eyes bleed red as his instincts took over, Sesshomaru gripped his lover's hips forcing the other male to meet him roughly and at an accelerated pace.

Hiei's face was twisted in pleasure as his mate finally gave him just what he wanted...what he needed. Soon there was nothing else in the room but the sounds of their intense love making. Skin meeting skin, groans and moans. The mates looking into each other eyes, both red as they allowed their more basic selves take over. They were for pleasure, their own and the pleasure of their mate. The forbidden child could feel his release coming upon him again. The edge of the cliff coming closer and closer. Not wanting his mate to go without, he clinched down his muscles to pull the inu with him over the edge.

There was nothing, no thoughts, no noise for the moment they seemed to become complete at the same time. Sesshomaru, careful not to crush his mate, rolled them both on their sides but kept himself buried deep within the other male.

Gentle where the kisses that they shared after their breathing started to go back to normal. They had each other now, everything would go back to normal now. Only time would tell what was to become of the West under their rule. Fortunate, time is what they had.

OMG! This fic is only what seven years or so in the making? That's like an AVERAGE of two chapters a year. (Pub July 2007) I'm a horrible updater. I do however have another fic in the works. The summary is on my profile. I'm editing (ha, like I'm any good at that) the first four chapters now and working on writing chapter 5. It will be a Hiei/Kagome/Sesshomaru (and every way you can mix those three) fic.

To mark this fic as complete finally...I can't believe it. It's like an early birthday present. (Dec 6 if anyone is wondering)
