"Deeks we need to get moving or we'll be late." Yelled Kensi. She had Donny all ready to go but Deeks is taking forever.
"I'm coming I almost forgot the camera."
Deeks came into the living room with his camera and put it in his carry on. They were finally heading to Hawaii for a week. MacKenna was back at work now so Hetty told them it was fine to take their trip.
"Ok babe lets go." Kensi said picking up Donny as Deeks got the bags. Sam pulled up outside to drive them to the airport.
"You guys got everything?"
"If we don't we'll just buy it there." Deeks put their bags into the back of the SUV Sam was driving while Kensi buckled Donny in. An hour later they were at LAX and on their way.
Deeks was almost bouncing up and down he was so excited. Once they were at the gate Kensi told him to sit down or she'd make him be still. Deeks dropped into a chair and smiled at her.
"See Donny mommy is always right no matter what."
"You got that one right."
Deeks pulled out one of Donny's toys and handed it to his son. "Your gonna love this trip Donny, sand, surf and mommy in a skimpy bathing suit."
"I only brought a one piece sorry."
"What? Kensi you promised."
Kensi laughed. "Don't worry Shaggy I have several slutty suits just for you."
"How slutty?" Deeks looked concerned. "I don't want a bunch of perverts checking out my wife."
"Not too bad you'll just have to wait and see."
Deeks smirked and leaned over to kiss Kensi. "I love you Kensi."
"I love you too Deeks."
Donny giggled and tossed his toy at Deeks head. "How did I not know you'd take after your mom with the hitting daddy stuff."
"Hey I haven't hit you in two years." Kensi huffed.
"I know babe." This was still a sore spot for them.
Once they were on the plane Kensi gave Donny a bag of apple slices and he settled down between them. They both hoped he didn't throw a huge fit on the plane. Several passengers gave them dirty looks as they boarded.
They didn't have much to worry about as Donny took after his dad and giggled most of the flight. Kensi sat and watched as Deeks and Donny played a game on the iPad most of the flight.
Once they got to the island Kensi was starving. They were surprised to see a man standing holding a sign saying Deek.
"Um hey man that's us."
"Mr. and Mrs. Deeks nice to meet you. I'm Tim. Miss Lang arranged for me to drive you to your hotel."
"Ok great." Said Deeks.
The car had a car seat already in the back for Donny. The drive took close to 45 minutes to get them to the hotel. The entire trip Tim pointed out places and things they should do while they were there.
It turned out that Tim would be their driver for the week. Hetty wanted to make sure they had a good time and didn't want them worrying about finding places that were family friendly.
Tim also had four kids so he was willing to watch Donny if they wanted to do something more adult like the helicopter rides.
Deeks took photos from the car and pointed out the waves to Kensi.
"The hotel your booked at has great surfing."
"Sweet." Said Deeks.
"It's already been arranged for board rentals for both of you for the week." Said Tim.
Once they got to the hotel they checked in and found out they had a beach side cabana. They found two surf boards outside the door waiting on them and a short walk to the water.
"Wow this is amazing." Said Kensi. She stood holding Donny looking out at the water. Deeks took a few pics and smiled.
Inside they found a play pen and highchair for Donny plus a bunch of baby food and other baby items they would need.
"Deeks I'm hungry." Said Kensi.
"When aren't you?"
"Not funny Deeks."
"Ok fine lets go find you food."
Back on the mainland.
"Callen do you know where Clara's bunny is?"
"Which one?"
"The yellow one."
"I think it's in the dryer."
Mac came walking in holding her two month old daughter who was crying her head off.
"Well can you get it."
"Look Clara here's bunny." Callen danced the bunny in her face. Clara stopped crying and watched the bunny.
"So you ready to go back to work today?"
"Yes I am. As much as I love this little bug I need out of the house."
Clara tried to take the bunny and started to cry when she couldn't get it. Callen handed her the bunny and its ear went right in her mouth.
Just then the door opened and Mac's mom came in. "I'm sorry I'm late traffic was horrible today.
"Look bug grandma is here." Said Callen taking Clara and handing her over. "Call us if you need anything. We should be home by six."
"Don't worry about us we will be just fine."
Callen pulled Mac out the door before she could change her mind about leaving.
"Don't worry they will be fine."
"I know that." Mac smiled at her husband as she got into the car. "I bet you'll be the first to worry about them."
"Nope you will."
"Ok looser changes diapers for a week."
Callen made a face but agreed.
They got to work and found out that Sam got Deeks and Kensi off to the airport.
"So when are you two taking your honeymoon?" asked Sam.
"Don't know Sam." Said Callen. So far they had only managed a weekend trip and even then they got called into work before Sunday was over.
"I was thinking about waiting till Clara is a bit older, maybe taking a family trip like Deeks and Kensi did."
"Or you can leave Clara with your in-laws and take your wife away for some quality time."
Callen smiled but at this point he didn't want to leave his daughter for a day let alone a week.
It was lunch time and Sara hadn't called yet. Callen didn't know if that was good or bad. Mac had to smirk as he checked his phone for the tenth time.
"You ok over there G?"
"Yeah I'm good."
"He's worried about my mom and Clara."
"I am not."
"Yes you are."
"Did your mom call and you didn't tell me?"
"G I've been sitting here all day have you seen me touch my phone?"
"No."
Callen made it till two pm before he called home.
"Hi Sara just checking in."
"Ok sounds good see you soon."
"Well is our daughter in one piece?"
"Yes."
"And the house is still standing?"
"Yes."
"And you'll be changing her diapers for the next week?"
"Yes."
Sam started laughing. "You two are too funny."
"How are you not worried?"
"My mom is great with Clara and she is a calm baby nothing to worry about."
Callen shook his head. Mac was supposed to go back to work two weeks ago but decided to take the two extra weeks Hetty offered.
"How about when Deeks and Kensi get back you take a few days off and stay home with Clara yourself."
"That sounds like a good idea Mr. Callen." Said Hetty coming up behind him.
"Ok I will. Can't be that hard."
Mac and Sam exchanged a look. So far Callen had not spent an entire day alone with his daughter. It would be an interesting few days.
By five Callen was ready to go home. Hetty finally just told him to go before he drove her crazy. Mac followed him out shaking her head. Sam was still laughing.
They got home and found the entire family there.
"Good news the boys have passed their citizenship tests." Said Sara.
Mac hugged both her brothers.
"Yes we take oath next week. Then I can apply for NCIS academy." Said Micha.
"Hetty already spoke to the director so there will not be a problem with you getting in." said Mac.
"I know. I cannot wait to start my training." Micha was smiling and almost bouncing with excitement.
Vlad on the other hand was happy to help run the family business. He wasn't as adventurous as his little brother. They had a nice family dinner to celebrate then headed home to let Callen and Mac have some time alone with Clara. Sara would be back the next day to baby sit once more.
Callen had Clara in his arms and was bouncing her. Mac smiled and just watched them from the kitchen door way. Callen loved his little girl so much. He was already hinting at them having another baby.
Realizing his wife was watching Callen stopped and pointed to her. "Look Clara there's momma."
Clara smiled and put her fist in her mouth.
"How much do we love momma?" said Callen. Clara kicked her feet and gurgled.
"I love you too babe. Now it's time to give Clara her bath so hand her over."
Back on the island.
Donny was out cold so Deeks snuck out into the living room. Kensi was sitting looking out the open door at the sunset.
"You ok there Princess?"
"I'm more than ok."
Deeks sat down on the couch and pulled Kensi into his arms. "I can't believe we're really here." Said Kensi.
"What here in Hawaii?"
"Well yeah but here married with a little boy. I never thought I'd be so happy."
"Yeah me either." Deeks kissed his wife's neck. "I knew the moment I first saw you that you would change my life."
"Me too."
"And who would think that Callen would marry a cop and have a kid." Said Deeks.
Kensi laughed at this. Every day he came into work and had to show them new photos of Clara He was such a proud dad.
"Yeah I never expected him to get married." Said Kensi.
"So tomorrow let's go check out the island. I want to go to Pearl Harbor." Said Deeks.
"Sound good. And we need to do some shopping."
"Yes dear."
Deeks stood and pulled Kensi to her feet.
"Let's go to bed wifey I want to make love to you."
"Well when you put it that way." Kensi kissed Deeks then ran for the bedroom Deeks hot on her heals.
