One year later.
Clara Callen was in her highchair sitting on her grandparent's deck. Her entire family was around her to celebrate her first birthday. Callen put a cupcake in front of her and stood back. Clara looked at it then up at every one as they started to sing. She had no idea what the fuss was about so she simply grabbed the cupcake in her chubby little hands and smashed it into her mouth.
Everyone laughed and camera's flashed. Sara and Victor stood back and watched their arms around each other. Micha and Vlad stood watching their niece and smiled. Micha was home for the weekend to help celebrate but would be returning to DC in a few days to start his first assignment as an NCIS agent.
Deeks sat back holding Donny laughing as Kensi was trying to sneak a cupcake with one hand and hold onto their one month old daughter with the other. He finally picked one up and took the wrapper off and handed it to her.
Callen smiled as his daughter looked up at him covered with cupcake and called out Daddy. Yes she was a daddy's girl to the end. He wiped a bit of the mess off and gave her another cupcake to destroy. Mac looked at them and shook her head.
"He is so giving her a bath after this." Said Mac grabbing her own cupcake. Callen herd this and turned to look at his wife.
"I'll bath her if you tell everyone our news."
Everyone looked at Mac. She finished her cup cake and took a drink. "Well we have decided to adopt a little girl from Romania. We fly out on Monday to get her."
Everyone started asking questions. Victor had met the little girl on a business trip a few months before. She was the daughter of a man he had known years ago. Her parents had passed away and she had no one. Her name was Anna and she was six years old.
"I thought you were going to try for another baby?" said Kensi.
"We are but we both decided that Anna needs a good home and if we don't take her she will most likely spend her life in an orphanage." Said Mac.
"The woman taking care of her says she is very excited to come home with her new parents and be a big sister." Said Victor.
Sara would stay in the states and take care of Clara so Victor could take Callen and MacKenna to pick up Anna.
"Boy Donny looks like you're really outnumbered now." Said Deeks.
Donny simply shoved another cupcake in his mouth. "Yep just like your mom." Deeks said watching as Kensi had managed to get a second cupcake in her mouth at the same time. Their daughter Lilly started to fuss and Hetty took her so Kensi could get a bottle ready. As soon as Hetty had Lilly the little girl settled down and looked up at her grandmother.
"I guess we should share our news too." Said Eric. Nell smiled up at him.
"We found out the baby is going to be a boy so Donny will have another boy around in a few months." Said Nell.
Sabatino smacked Eric on the back. "Way to go Eric."
"Thanks man."
They were all starting to wonder if Donny would end up being the only boy in the family after Talia and Sabatino had their little girl.
Everyone was thrilled. The last three sonograms the baby kept showing them his little butt and nothing else. They liked to tease Nell her kid was camera shy.
Deeks picked up his beer and asked everyone to be quiet for a moment.
"Ok so I'd like to say something." Everyone looked at him and waited. "I'll tell you the day Mac started and Kensi kept texting me I knew that we were all in for some big changes. Back then I could never have guessed at how big or how many there would be in only a few short years." Kensi sat back down next to her husband and Hetty handed her back the baby.
"I mean who would think that Callen would not only fall for a cop but marry her and start a family."
Everyone laughed at this. "I always knew I wanted to marry Kensi from the first time I saw her. What I never hoped for was these two little ones." He smiled at his family. "And now we'll have two more additions to our growing family." He tipped his beer to Eric and Callen.
"So I'd like to propose a toast to all the changes that have already came and to all the future changes we will face together."
Everyone lifted their drinks to Deeks toast.
"I could not have said it any better than that Mr. Deeks." Said Hetty.
What they did know was there weren't any changes that they could not face as long as they were together.
