Hello everybody. This is NRG-OVA-9000 presenting you yet another episode of The Amazing Gyroball. This episode will have heavy focus on Darwin Watterson, AKA "Goldfishman," his mysterious origin, new discovery, and other stuff. It's simply a Darwin-centric episode. But be warned that it will have some moody, depressive, angst-filled atmosphere. That's the only warning I got so far, so enjoy the show. Also, the copyright of its original concept belongs to Ben Bosquelet, its creator, and Cartoon Network, its distributor.
The Amazing Gyroball
Episode 5: The North Bay
In the huge, vastly diverse metropolis of Elmore lies Gumball Watterson. This youthful teen had acquired his "gyro-power" from a freak daredevil accident, transforming him into the eponymous vigilante "Gyroball." Alongside with his siblings Darwin and Anais, who respectively become "Goldfishman" and "Plug-girl," they formed the What-The-Sons. Together, they fight against many adversaries that lurk in the darkness of the city, being the shadowy GIGA Organization and the hidden criminal underworld. As they continue their war against the evil forces, the GIGA Organization is mobilizing quickly for something big and sinister in the big city. Not only is the shadowy quasi-governmental agency remaining active in secrecy, but they also have control over the city infrastructure and possibly its underworld. What will the heroes do about their big plan? Will they solve the mystery of the grand scheme in time? Find out and stay tune as the epic proportion of action and adventure continues on. But for now, the Head of the GIGA Organization lies in his office in the GIGA Organization headquarter. While he is sitting in his place calmly, he got a call from a fellow agent.
"Hello," said the head.
"Sir. We lost the subject Kankinos," said the voice.
"Dang it! How long was he gone and how the freak did we lose him?"
"We're not sure how long ago he escapes and how this happened due to the surveillance camera system is destroyed. But, it may be speculated by the Intel that he had headed toward to the North Bay by last several weeks. And also, our biological division has analyzed the subject's current condition and it shows that his unstable mutation is advancing."
"Shoot! He's mutating even more despite of our best effort to suppress his already freakishly mutated cancer."
"What should we do now, sir?"
"First, the What-The-Sons. Then, the school violence. And now, this!" While he stresses out on the unfortunate events that the organization is going through, he take a huge breath. While giving himself a little moment of breathing exercise, he is thinking about how to efficiently deal with all the commotion in Elmore.
"Umm… Sir?"
"Just send in a troop to wherever the subject is. And also, have them be warned about the What-The-Sons. Whatever Karkinos is planning on will eventually attract the 'heroic' side of the What-The-Sons, despite of their status as criminal vigilantes."
"And if that's even the case…"
"Oh. I know they will. I once contacted them on the same day Gumball manifest his psychic power. Plus, I had them on surveillance through nearly three years up till now. I'm pretty aware what they're up to."
"Understood." After the Head give his agent reassurance on his plan, the communication ends. He remains seated as he ponders upon the future of the What-The-Sons.
Meanwhile, the Watterson family is sleeping peacefully at night in their comfortable home. Darwin is seen sleeping in a specialized floatation tank, a mechanical "bed" that is filled with salt water and used for various medical purposes. His bed is conveniently located on the first level of Gumball's triple bunk bed. Gumball sleeps on the second level of the bunk bed. And on occasions, Anais is seen sleeping on the final level, which is rather bit odd due to the fact that she have her own bedroom. Or so it may seem… (The question of where Anais really sleeps in remains unanswered). But nevertheless, the whole family is sleeping quietly after the long day they all had gone through. Darwin's happy face is zoomed closer and closer until it hits the brain.
As Darwin's face zooms into his brain, the scene shifts into what appears to be his dream. Within this metaphysical plane of Darwin's subconscious mind lies the underwater habitat, inhabited with various aquatic mutants with different animalistic traits. With his jovial, carefree attitude, Darwin swims downward to the shanty town built from various scrap metals, colorful rocks, and other possible building materials. While he swims down to a nearby building, he approaches to the girl with a shrimp-like exoskeleton. She is seen sobbing lightly as if there is danger.
"What's wrong little shrimp girl?" asked Darwin.
"The North Bay is under an attack," said the shrimp girl.
"By who?"
"Some abominable cyborg creature from what may be the GIGA Organization!"
The goldfish-like merman gasped. "How do you…"
"His mechanical exo-suit clued us that he's an agent of the GIGA Organization. And it's your responsibility as Goldfishman, the Lost Prince of the North Bay, to fight off this monster."
"Wait… How did you know that I'm Goldfishman, Prince of the…" Suddenly, he looks at himself, already suited up in his superhero suit.
"Cause we got information from the robotic monstrosity and he's bringing us doom. And it's all because of your fault for being associated with the evil surface-dwellers!"
"Noo…"
"Yeah, you stankin' prick. First offense is for keeping secrets from your loyal friends. And now even more secrecy, which leads to more negligence? You're freakin' killing everybody in the North Bay!"
After being confronted by the shrimp girl and other aquatic mutant civilians for being a terrible, neglectful prince of their peaceful providence, Goldfishman is panicking with intense terror and dread. While more people are panicking, he is watching what may be an antiquity-themed utopia, similar to the legendary Atlantis, being destroyed by some invasive force. Feeling the horror and dread of the settlement's possibility of being his birthplace intensified his fear. With series of explosions bombarding the settlement full of innocent fish people, the mechanical crab-like entity comes out of the black smoke of destruction.
After the monstrous figure appeared quickly in front of Goldfishman's face, Darwin abruptly wakes up from his floatation bed as he screamed.
Upon hearing the random screaming, both Gumball and Anais wake up and start screaming.
"Oh come on!" said Anais as she sits up from her bed. "That's the…" She paused, having forgotten what she was about to say. She looks down to her older brother, hoping that she get any answers.
"I dunno," said Gumball. "He occasionally has this random episode for quite some time. Remember the time we started high school."
"Screw that! I was enjoying my dream!"
"What's going on?" said Nicole as she bursts into the siblings' bedroom.
"We were sleeping until Darwin screamed," said Anais.
"Anais," said Gumball. "I don't think that he'll ever get over with his old problem from last year."
"Darwin is still upset about not knowing what his life was before being the Watterson."
"Yeah…" said both Gumball and Anais.
"Fine. We will have a quick trip to where your dad and I found Darwin."
"I appreciate your concern for me," said Darwin. "But, I'm afraid that a family trip wouldn't do. My nightmares have becoming progressively intense and scary that I just can't bear it anymore!" After confessing his thought about his family helping him, he sobbed to himself. "I just can't deal with it. Just every time, it becomes so weird and scary that I don't know what to do anymore!"
"Just go to the family one more time. The next trip just got to work!" Nicole tried to comfort Darwin like a good, nurturing mother.
"Yeah," said Gumball. "And we can go to various places in the North Bay Town. This place is just top the hook..." As the oldest child express the excitable glee of having beach trip, everyone glared at him for acting inappropriately about Darwin's mental health. "What? I'm trying to cheer Darwin up with the fun stuff it holds."
"Well, you got a point there," said Nicole. "But still, be considerate for your brother."
"It's alright. Really," said Darwin.
"Beach Trip, tomorrow at six am. Good thing that your school has an extended weekend for this one time. Yesterday was terrible with the bombing."
After making the small comment, she left.
The next day, the Watterson family has arrived at the North Bay Town, an old seaside resort town with fair popularity. This small village is conveniently located westward to their hometown, which in turn is also located in the North Bay (northern region of the Bay Area). Hence, it is named after the nearby body of water it is located. The memorable scenery of an ancient, nautical village gives off a nostalgic, nearly historic atmosphere to many inhabitants, both native to the town and visiting from other cities. This especially affects those with long family history, which involves serving in the navy or otherwise having a maritime culture. For sure, the Watterson has the former as they have subtle Japanese heritage, albeit through Nicole. What would anybody expect from Japan? It's an Eastern Asian island-nation with wild, diverse culture with high technological progress, anime industries, and especially fish marketing. As many decades have passed through this old town, it became heavily reconstructed with various renovations that vastly increased the maritime theme, possibly a preparation for upcoming tourist-based economy. While the great spirit of historicity remains, Gumball slightly spasms with awe and wonder as he watches it majestic beauty.
"Aww…" said Gumball. "The place is still amazing. It's much like the last time we went there Darwin."
"Yeah…" said Darwin with a subtle weary tone.
"Come on, dude. You got to be excited about this place. It's practically your birthplace."
"No duh. It's where I was lost and found as a confused street urchin."
"Enough with your depressive mood!" said Nicole. "Look, all we're trying to do is just alleviate your pain and continue on as a happy family."
"Yeah," said Gumball. "Mom's right. We're family. No matter what happens to us, we will always stick together."
"Fine," said the moody merman with subtle uneasy feeling. "But, I still can't help myself with the eerie feeling in my guts. It's telling me that something ominous is going on. Especially with the fog that is covering this town and the sheer emptiness of it."
After making such comment, the family makes a close look at their surroundings, which confirms the fact that their fish-boy member is telling the truth. The small village is indeed covered with dense fog and is nearly devoid of people, which ultimately gives off a typically eerie atmosphere of a haunted ghost town.
"Even though that it highly resembles a stereotypical supernatural horror film setting, it is still a normal, ongoing weather phenomenon that exists here," said Anais. "I mean, where do you expect us to go to?"
"A happy place that is obviously not scary," said uneasy merman.
"Well… sort of. But no, we're in a village that is built close to a vast body of water."
"Like what Anais said," Nicole begins to speak. "Everything will be fine. And also, we came here in the first place so that we can help you with your randomly occurring nightmares. All which have to do with your origin, your previous life before becoming the Watterson."
"And beside," said Gumball. "Anais and I will be right beside you at all time if you get scared or depressed."
"Geez. Thanks a lot," Darwin made a sarcastic remark as he was unimpressed by his family concern for his distress.
"Don't you ever make sarcastic remark on your family!" Nicole scolded at her merman son. "We're doing this because we love and care for you."
"Ok." The fish-boy become meeker due to his mother's aggression.
"Good. Richard and I will just stay in some buildings nearby the parking lot. You three have fun."
"Okay," the three siblings respond. Then, they all left while the parents stayed behind.
"I hope that they're alright. Especially Darwin, he's have this depressive-manic episodes which all stems from his birthplace." Nicole expressed her worries to her husband.
Meanwhile, the Watterson siblings are walking through the dense fog of the shoreline near the North Bay Town. As they continue their journey to find the hidden secrets of the merman brother, Darwin saw some shadowy figures rushing through the fog.
The merman gasped. "Gumball. Anais. Did you see that?"
"See what?" said Anais. "There's not a lot of people in this place. I think that you may be right about it being a ghost town, but we still got to stay in longer to find any clues."
"Partly right," Darwin corrected. "This place is haunted!"
"Oh no," said Gumball. "You're not getting out that easily."
"But I really saw some ghastly figures flying across the fog."
"Get a hold onto yourself," Gumball grabbed Darwin by his black t-shirt, shaking him in an attempt to get his mind straight.
"Gumball…"
"Right…" Gumball lets go of his hand from his brother's clothing. "If anything, we can suit up like the last time with Anais."
"Hey!" Anais shouted.
"What? It's true that you acted somewhat like a baby about the sky is falling."
"Which literally happened as a form of meteor showers. Thanks a lot Gumball."
"Fine. You won this round, since the GIGAs did happen."
After the little chat, you both turn their head to Darwin, who was trying to sneak away. As Darwin turns his head back to his siblings, he noticed that he got spotted. So, he try to make a break out of the nauseating town he is being tormented by.
"Oh no you don't," said Gumball. He then used his secret "gyro-power" to pull Darwin toward them.
"I'm sorry. I just stand this place anymore. It's starting to become more warped, unlike the last time."
"Ok. It may be more foggy and empty from the last time. But, that doesn't mean that we should just call it quits. What-The-Sons, suit up!"
So the Watterson siblings went onward to the public restroom to suit up.
On the other side, Nicole and Richard are staying in an old, seemingly abandoned nautical-themed seafood restaurant. They are just snacking on fish-and-chips with coffee.
"Richard," said Nicole. "I'm worried about the kids. They are wandering around in this town with dense fog. Especially for Darwin, he might be having rapid episodes while he's with them. I hope that we weren't too harsh about forcing him to go to his dreaded hometown and make him find clues about his past life."
"Oh come on," said Richard. "Darwin is thirteen years old. And he usually sticks with Gumball for nearly all the time."
"But, you need to think about his mental health. He's having occasional panic attacks during the night. And he is being haunted by some weird nightmares that keep bringing him up to this old town."
"You think that Darwin is the creepy child that has a paranormal calling to this place. This oddly seems very similar to this horror adventure game where the guy has to go to a densely foggy town, fighting creepy apparitions, and searching for his lost daughter."
"Yeah…" After a few seconds, Nicole quickly realized that Richard played a certain video game. "Richard! What did I told you about playing that game! It's mentally unhealthy for you! This game gives nightmare and not to mention weird behavioral changes and depressive mood."
"Oh come on! You're blaming me for Darwin's condition?"
"I didn't really say anything about that. But, it may be possible that Darwin might be within your proximity of that game."
"What! No way. That's impossible."
"Right…" the cat-eared Japanese woman glared at the overweight American man. "But still, I think that Darwin may have a legitimate reason to fear this place."
"Oh no. Oh no, no, no. No! Don't tell me that the town is paranormal or something. Because whenever I made such wild claim, I become an idiot stuck with nothing happening. But others, their wild claim become reality. This is bull load. It'll be like the last time, when Anais made an out-of-your-mind prophesy that the stars will fall off the sky and bring chaos at us. Oh no! This place will not be a haunted site crawling with nightmarish monstrosities!"
"Richard, Anais' 'prophesy' is a real, scientific fact that space debris often enter into Earth's atmosphere, which create an impression that the stars are falling."
"And besides, what would you deem 'nightmarish monstrosities' in this supposedly 'haunted site?'" asked the mysterious, raspy voice of an old man.
Surprised by the voice, the parents look at their side, finding an old navy man with a bizarre mutation on his face. The left side of the old sailor's face is covered with what looks like a burn scar, but is actually a colony of coral symbiotically merged with his flesh.
"More coffee?" The old man offers a refill of hot, freshly brewed coffee for his guests.
Somewhere else in the foggy town, the What-The-Sons are patrolling the old town, finding if there is anything strange and unusual in it.
"Any clues from Darwin's dream?" asked the masked motorcyclist.
"Nope, nothing," the bunny-themed super-spy replied.
"Come on!" said the masked merman in skin-tight suit. "Is this really necessary?"
"Dude, you have been having the strange nightmares and you kept having your episodes because of them," Gyroball answered.
"Yeah," said Plug-girl. "I did some of the psychoanalysis on you, and your dreams clue us to this town."
"Really," said Goldfishman. "You tried to psychoanalyze Gumball's mind. And what did you get? Nothing! Just a brain cramp. Why can't you learn you lesson that you can't interpret the sheer irrationality of the human subconscious!"
"Because that's not the real case! The only reason why this seems to be a futile attempt is because that you kept freakin' resisting!"
"Shut up! Shut up! Shut up!" Goldfishman becomes more delirious and hysterical that he unleashed a violent outburst at his siblings. This ultimately results with Gyroball launching few heavy blows at his body.
"Just cooperate with us. Would you?" said Gyroball.
"Fine!" said Goldfishman. After making amends with this unexpected event, Gyroball tried to lift his partner up. But all of the sudden, the explosion is heard from a close distance. As the three turns their head toward the site of the explosion, they fly towards it.
By the time they arrives at the site of the explosion, the fire created from the explosion is burning the shanty building of scrap metal and wood. And deep within the smoke of destruction lies one large, hulking figure which appeared to be heavily armored along with several other humanoid figures of slightly odd shaped. As the smoke is clearing itself out, the event reveals itself to be what Darwin's nightmare has prophesized. The heavily-armored monstrosity reveals itself to be a shockingly similar cyborg that he saw from the dream, being crab-like in appearance along with few life-support technology, installed weaponries, pincer-like claws and other features. And the other humanoids reveal themselves as aquatic mutant civilians of the shanty town. One of the "civilian polices" that is fighting against the mysterious foe appears to be the a pink-haired goggle-wearing girl, teenaged and mutated with shrimp-like features like pink exoskeleton and specialized claw-like hands. As the battle between the mechanical beast and the aquatic mutant people, Goldfishman begins to panic upon the realization of all his nightmares becoming reality.
"Ahh…" Goldfishman begins to scream, only for Gyroball to slap his face.
"Get the hold of yourself!" Gyroball shouted. "We need to save the people of North Bay Town from this freak."
"I can't!" Goldfishman sobbed like a pathetic child.
"Why the freak not?"
"Because, that is what my yesterday's nightmare has prophesized. I saw the impending chaos and destruction of the aquatic settlement in the North Bay!" The kid in the orange wetsuit sobbed more, adding the intense emotional weakness in him.
"Oh… That's no prophesy. That's just current event," said the mechanical villain with a sadistic glee. "Yess… That's right, Darwin, Goldfishman, or whoever you are on the surface world (land-based world). You have been neglecting your call to help and save the North Bay. You allowed this to happen just because that you selfishly wished to live a 'normal' life on the land with the new family you have been adopted into, and the community of Elmore which you grew to become a part of."
"Noo…" Goldfishman screams with terror. "No, no, no…"
"Dam," said Gyroball. "That Mecha Crab thing means serious business." The leader expressed the high potential threat the crustaceous cyborg poses, especially to Goldfishman and in-extension to the What-The-Sons since he is shown to be knowledgeable on their private life in Elmore.
"How dare you call me a thing, Gyroball What-The-Son! Or was it Gumball Watterson. Man, what's up with land-dwellers having multiple names and alias. But still, how dare you call me a thing! You dare deny me of my personhood!"
The What-The-Sons, most noticeably Gyroball and Plug-girl, become shocked by how much they were known by "Mecha Crab," as the leader calls him. Goldfishman, on the other hand, is having intense emotional moment.
"How can you call yourself a person when you're wreaking havoc on this town?" Gyroball shouted.
"I'm sorry. It's because of the GIGAs. That's right. I got all the information on you Watterson. For some reason, they're really interested in you. And so, they decided to draft me from the hospital for what is said to be an 'unstable mutative cancer,' and reconstruct me into what they hope to be the best cyborg agent of to their organization. But, they failed to realize that I am a free individual with my own interests, my own personal goals!"
"So, that means that you are something akin to ex-agent, rogue, AWOL, traitor or something like…"
"Stop referring to me as a 'thing!' Gawdamit! This is one of the reasons why I parted away from the GIGA Organization. It's the continual sadistic abuse along with the constant depravity of personhood that is naturally vested within me."
"Sorry, Mecha Crab. If you're fine with…"
"Meh, my actual name is Karkinos. But, I guess that Mecha Crab is fine since I am essentially sealed into the mechanical shell that has an uncanny resemblance to blue crab."
"But still, why are you terrorizing this town? But before you answer that, can you explain to me how you're able to understand my partner's mental state? The nightmarish dream being reality, prophesy, current event or whatever it is!"
"Aw… your adoptive brother, or partner. I dunno. You and your situational whatever. It's because that aquatic mutants can establish an empathic, or 'psychic' bonds with themselves as part of advance social behavior."
"It means that his dream is a telepathic cry of help which he ignored!" the shrimp girl exclaimed with anger and impatience.
Mecha Crab just knocks her out to the nearby mass of colorful rock.
"That wasn't really necessary," said Gyroball.
"Gyroball!" said Plug-girl.
"First, interrogations. Questioning the villain! That's the appropriate hero-villain criteria."
"But…"
"How the freak are we able to understand our brother's feeling along with the villain's intent?"
"I advise you to take your older brother's word for it, genius girl," said Mecha Crab. "It's the complex part of the hero-villain dynamics, so stick with it and you're be able to do your superhero job done."
"Fine." The girl remains quite now on.
"Thank you," the villain thanks the girl for her politeness. He turns his head to Gyroball. "Anyway… The shrimp girl, Lil Miss Alfeda, is rather rude when disrupting our conversation. But yeah… you understand the main premise of aquatic mutant being somewhat telepathic"
"Yeah, I got it. But your sense of social etiquette is rather off," said Gyroball. "You do need to realize that she did it because you're destroying her home! Speaking of which, why are you doing it?"
"I have mentioned you earlier that I am a free individual of my own interest, right? Well, it appears so that there is a great secret, a hidden treasure of this old town. This treasure I'm looking for hold great mystery that if anybody realizes its secret will be granted with great powers over the water of the seven seas. Or perhaps, it should more appropriately be referred to as the supreme power over the Bay's water."
"What?" both Gyroball and Plug-girl look dumbfounded.
"I knew that you land-dwellers would not understand the power that I seek. That is why I wish to seek out for your brother, who may hold the solution to this mystery."
When the villain made mentions of needing their brother, Gyroball and Plug-girl look at Goldfishman, who was about to finish up his episode. Then, the merman looks at them strangely.
"What?" said Goldfishman.
"Apparently, Mecha Crab, the monster of your dream, had given you nightmares in form of telepathic message to call you for the 'hidden treasure' of the North Bay Town," Gyroball explains the villain's intent to Goldfishman.
"I don't know what you're talking about."
"Come on!"
"May I be in assistance?" the villain asks as he leaps toward the What-The-Sons.
As Mecha Crab land nearby to the heroes, Gyroball performed his "gyro-drill" technique while Plug-girl jabbed him with her taser. But none of them were effective against the tanker, which prompt him to knock the two heroes to the side.
"Pff… That was rude for them to attack me when all I did was to approach them," said Mecha Crab. "Now then, tell me about the hidden secrets of the North Bay, small fry."
"Never!" said Goldfishman.
"You leave me no choice but to destroy you and everything you loved and adored," said Mecha Crab.
"Eat this! Gravity Kick!" shouted Gyroball as he flies toward the villain with a strong kick. The word he shouted is Japanese for "get lost." What the leader did is perform a technique called "Gravity Kick," a devastating martial art technique which incorporates gyrokinesis into his kick. The mechanics of this attack move is that he "gravitates" himself in a "flying kick" pose to the gravitational center of the large target. Yes, it is still subjected to the law of gravitation, but Gyroball has power over gravity. So, this technique can be conveniently used if he were to have great focus, which he often fails at. This gravity-based martial art technique seems suspiciously familiar, as if seen in another video game played by teenagers. Although he made a perfect aim at Mecha Crab, it is still proven to be rather ineffective as he have tank-like outer shell.
"Goldfishman!" said Gyroball. "Get out of here! He's too powerful for you to handle and that he's crazy for you. So, go! Wait in somewhere safe while I will take care of Plug-girl and the Mecha Crab!"
So the kid in the wetsuit run to safety as his older brother brawls against the abominable, mechanical maniac.
As Goldfishman swims toward to an isolated rock close by to the shore of the North Bay, he sits himself and cries. Not only did he face depression in regards to the dark, shrouded mystery of his past life in the North Bay Town, but also finds his nightmares in reality and being weak and vulnerable against the new threat.
"Gawdamit!" cried Goldfishman. "Why does it all have to happen like that! Not only did the town overwhelm me with the stomach churning feeling, but now I'm called into this surreal nightmare. My team is being beaten up by the monster Mecha Crab, and I have people hating me for my weakness and inability to help. What can I do when I got nothing! Heck, I don't even have what he wants. What should I do…"
"What you should do? You should still stick up to them as the What-The-Sons, a superhero team that fight all evil in Elmore and possibly beyond," said the mysterious voice.
As the diver turns his head, he found the man in white coat beside him. He realized it ever since the beginning.
"You! The guy from the market place. What brings you here!"
"I'm here to help!"
"Screw you! You have brought us trouble with the mystery disc. You're the one who's destroying our…"
"It's the fault of the GIGA Organization. It's true that I am their agent, but I'm also a man that genuinely wants to protect anybody from harm. I mean look at the site far from here."
The diver and the scientist look at the explosion. The scene zooms in with mainly Gyroball fighting against Mecha Crab. The common folks are just trying their best to assist the one who is trying to save their city.
"Your brother is fighting with everything he got against this mechanical menace, which the GIGAs themselves had created. I know that I'm on the wrong side and I do feel doubt and remorse about it. Earlier in my life, I have dedicated myself to the work of federal government. A few years after my work of research, I was transferred to the service of the GIGA Organization, which seems to be another government agency. All I had recognized that time was that it was a prestigious institution, funded by the government and for aspiring geniuses from all over this nation we stand on now. As time passes by, the good agency had grown too corrupt for the good of anyone. They started violating the natural rights of any brilliant minds they can get grab on, especially children with family. And up to now, they extended the definition of the 'geniuses' they are impressing from 'intellectually talented' to 'genetically talented' due to this."
After the long monologue, he revealed the GIGA Power Generator to Goldfishman.
"That's right. It's the GIGA Power Generator, most iconic amongst all technological inventions in their agency. It becomes a dread symbol to their insanity, may it be overzealousness to their purpose or lust for power. I'm not sure what corrupts them. But with this device, they extended their effort from impressing high intellectuals to downright mutant slavery. This is becoming too heartbreakingly tragic to see the gross look of superhuman trafficking."
Goldfishman become shocked when he hears about "superhuman trafficking" as he is aware of modern slavery that is occurring in the present.
"But with this device, you can get greater power, but also have hope of restoring just about anything you had lost through childhood trauma. With this power, you may not just help the What-The-Sons defeat the monster, but also the future threat that the GIGAs will pose to many others. Heck, you can think of many possibilities like fighting against other evils in the Bay Area and even go on an adventure in search of many hidden secrets, especially those of the North Bay, which Mecha Crab wants. But, the decision is ultimately up to you at this very moment. What will you do?"
After finishing the whole speech, he offers the Power Generator, which Goldfishman have the option to take or not.
Back to the battle against the crustaceous mutant cyborg, Gyroball becomes nearly worn out. The villain still has plenty of energy to fight and wreak havoc, despite the numerous cracks on the outer shell.
"Have enough yet?" said the cyborg.
"Never!" said Gyroball. "I'll defend this town; even it means that I will have many broken bones!"
"Then I guess that I'll have to finish you."
As the mechanical menace is about to launch his big shot at the relentless hero, the voice called out "Water Jet Stream," which leads up to a stream of high pressure water launching itself toward the villain. His armor got sufficient amount of damage along with whole body being pushed backward.
"What the?" said Mecha Crab. The two heroes, along with the townsmen looks up in air, seeing Goldfishman using hydrokinesis to simulate flight.
"Goldfishman!" the other What-The-Sons shouted out with happiness.
"Goldfishman! It's good for you to back!" said Gyroball.
"Yeah. Sorry about everything," the merman apologized.
"It's alright. But when did you learn how to control water?"
"Just need some enlightenment, and the magic orb."
"What! No…" shouted the villain. "You got the old power generator from the GIGAs! That's it! I'll finish you off along with this whole town."
"Not until you take us down first!" said the two heroes in unison.
So, Goldfishman use his new power to draw forth the water from the town's irrigation system, which comes out from the streets storm drain. With large quantity of water, he launched the "water jet stream" attack at Mecha Crab. And at the same time, Gyroball contribute his "Gyro Giga Drill," an enlarged version of his "Gyro Drill" which has more damaging power. With both "Water Jet Stream" and "Gyro Giga Drill," they formed an extremely powerful combo attack that blows the villain far away from the town. As seen within the impact, his armor gain tremendous amount of damages. But as he drops down into the depth of the North Bay's water, it is unknown if he were to survive from it or not. Other than that, the townsmen celebrate the victory against the vile menace.
"Yeah! We did it!" shouted the What-The-Sons as they celebrated their triumph over the villainous cyborg.
The Watterson's day in the North Bay is over. Everybody is seated on the dinner table, eating the traditional English seafood items.
"So, how's the day in North Bay Town, Darwin?" asked Nicole.
"It's pretty good," said Darwin. "I'm feeling a bit better. But, I'll still need to go back to the old town. Do I?"
"Of course. I'm proud of you for being a mature young man."
"Yeah!" said Gumball. "You have improved a lot from the last time."
"Well, I'm glad that everybody is back to being a happy, normal family," said Nicole. "By the way Gumball, you should really be careful about doing parkour in the town. It's rather dangerous with the dense fog."
Gumball chuckled nervously as he revealed the partial truth of getting injury from rigorous acrobatics, which is seen as bruises on his body. This is rather lucky and convenient for him as he had learned to selectively use the "important" part of the truth to keep Nicole's mother sense in check. This is especially useful for their secret superhero business.
"As for you, Richard. You had to mess up again."
"Oh come on!" said Richard. "This is bull lord!"
Nicole smacked Richard with her spoon, saying "language."
"I'm sorry. But I'm really sick and tired of being made a fool! It's like everything in the world hates me to the point of making a great conspiracy against me!"
"Don't be so crazy about it!"
While the family is having a nice dinner on seafood, a mysterious figure just happens to be in a neighborhood. That man turns out to be "Professor Psi," the same enigmatic man in white that appeared before Gyroball in his battle against the school bomber, and Goldfishman in both the market place and the isolated rock in North Bay.
"I will have something for them by the next time we meet," said Professor Psi. As he made a brief observation at the end, he plans to have a surprise for the What-The-Sons. What will the mystery man, who has shifty loyalty between the GIGAs and other things, do? Will he become an enemy to the What-The-Sons? Or a valuable ally against the evil of the GIGA Organization? Or better yet, will the What-The-Sons ever uncover more hidden mysteries of the Bay Area, like the treasures of the North Bay or even the grand conspiracy? Find out more on the next episode of The Amazing Gyroball.
With this episode done with, how do you like this fanfiction? Please, give me anything on the review box done below. I will appreciate anything, being constructive criticism, commentaries, question, any of those stuff. As I look back to the previous episode, this series is progressing with slight intensity. This is somewhat of a good progress, but I still want to keep it "rated PG." So, just give me any notifications if anything is needed to be done. And also, thank you for reading this series. Ever since the long hiatus (due to college), I rarely touched this project up till the winter holidays. But still, it's still nice to be back to working on this project. So if any of you fans still remained patient for this project, I like to thank you. Thank you so much and see you next time.
