A/N Hey guys, I'm back! I know you've all been very excited for this chapter…(crickets chirping). Well, uhh… anyway, let's just get on with it.
Disclaimer: Actually, I do own LoZ. I was just screwing with you guys… well… I mean, I could if I wanted to… okay, fine, I don't own it.
Shaun didn't have to go far until he eventually came to Ganondorf's castle. The boy held his rifle close to his body, knowing very well of the resistance that most likely lied ahead. He had to move fast, or else Link and his army would surely catch up within minutes. Shaun decided the quickest way to take the castle would be to burst through the front door, guns blazing, so that's what he'd do. The boy walked up to the large door that kept him from getting in. It was then that he heard a shout from far above him.
"Intruder," the voice cried. "Intruder! Get the troops ready!" Shaun hastily checked his backpack for anything that he could use to get through the door, but unbeknownst to him, Ganondorf's large army already took care of that. There had to be around 200 or even 300 troops swarming straight towards the lone rebel. Of course, Shaun knew he'd have no problem destroying all of them. Pulling out his rifle, he sprinted towards the army and opened fire.
Zelda's PoV
Zelda laid on the bed for a seemingly indefinite period of time, unsure of what was going to happen to her next: would she be killed, would Ganondorf keep her as a slave forever, would he just let her go? The last possibility seemed highly improbable, but it was all Zelda could do to keep from losing hope. Just then, she saw Ganondorf walk into the room with a smug grin on his face. He then pulled out a knife and it was then that Zelda knew what he had planned for her. He was going to kill her. She somewhat knew that Ganondorf, having lost all use for her, would simply kill her and get her out of the way; although she was hoping that he'd have a change of heart. Though, just as he was about to walk towards her, one of Ganondorf's servants ran into the room, exhausted, as if he'd been running for miles.
"Master! Someone's approaching the castle! The troops are trying to stop him, but he has some sort of weapon that's killing all of them!" Zelda knew immediately that it was Shaun and was overjoyed that she would be rescued by her lover. Ganondorf looked stunned for a moment, then looked to Zelda.
"You're lucky. But once I've destroyed this whelp, I'm going to destroy you, and then I'll destroy your pitiful kingdom."
Shaun's PoV
Shaun continued plowing through Ganondorf's army with his machine gun, mowing down groups one by one until the army was narrowed down to nearly 50. But then, Shaun started running low on ammo (this isn't the movies, kids). He continued until he ran out and then started taking them down with his knife, but he eventually found himself overwhelmed. Shaun, seeing this, started to retreat so he could try to think of another method of attack. He ran for about 100 yards until he climbed into a tree. Ganondorf's troops looked for Shaun, but couldn't find him. After a few minutes of searching, they decided to leave and go back to the castle.
Shaun waited until they were gone and climbed down the tree. He then leaned up against it and stood in thought as to how he could kill Ganondorf and his soldiers and save Zelda. Shaun began to formulate a plan, but just as he was about to figure it out, he heard a sword being unsheathed. Before he could react, he felt two sets of hands grab his arms and restrain him.
"Well, well, well. Look who we have here."
A/N I know, I'm an asshole, but the forces inside of me wanted to have a cliffhanger and add one more chapter to this story. But, this next chapter is definitely, 100%, going to be the final chapter!
