[Chapter 11: Truth and Consequences!]

Dino Lab!

It was the next morning when Hayley called the Dino Rangers back to the Dino Lab. So Jessica stood with Ethan, Kira, and Conner in the Dino Lab as Hayley ran a scan on some kind of amber with their teacher and Black Ranger; Dr Tommy Oliver cased inside.

"Is he ok?" Ethan asked looking worried for their fellow Ranger.

"The internal scan should be able to tell us more," Hayley answered as she continued to scan while also looking worried.

"What's the deal?" asked Kira, "is he frozen or something?"

Jessica let out a sigh as she sat in the chair at the main computer looking not only confused, but worried and tired as well.

"Not exactly," Hayley once again answered, "it's more like he's fossilized. Fused into this amber-like substance."

"Can you get him out?" Conner asked this time.

"Too risky," Hayley stated, "he's able to stay alive in there, but I'd hate to think what would happen if I broke him out."

"A Palaeontologist turned into a fossil," Ethan stated with an angry look.

"The White Ranger got a great sense of humor," Jessica finished with annoyance clear in her tone.

"Well, personally I've had enough of him," Kira told them.

"Let's find out who this is and deal with him," Conner stated as he looked at them, "now."

Shipping yard!

Trent was walking along a shipping yard trying to figure out what was going on with him.

"What is wrong with me?" Trent asked himself before he suddenly stopped moving and leaned up against a storage unit before he looked at his gem that has started to glow white. "I...remember." It all came rushing back of him being the White Ranger. "This can't be happening."

Hayley's Cyberspace!

It was later that day as the four Rangers walked into Hayley's Cyberspace talking about the White Ranger and how to fossilized Tommy.

"Maybe Hayley got some ideas," Ethan suggested.

"Yeah, but it looks like she's kinda of busy right now," Kira pointed as they watched Hayley taking of a lot of teens.

Jessica looked around to see if she could find Trent just as Conner spoke up.

"Let's hit the streets," he suggested, "it's not like the White Ranger is just going to walk in here."

It was then that Trent walked past them looking worse then before.

"Hey Trent," Jessica greeted with a smile.

"Hey," Trent greeted back only in a tired voice.

The 4 Rangers walked up to the counter after Trent did and sat down.

"Hey listen Hayley," Trent spoke up.

"Oh, good," Hayley stated.

"I got to talk to you." "Later grab a tray."

"I can't," Trent told her, "I'm quitting.

" This made all 4 Rangers to look at him in shock.

"Why?" Hayley asked confused, "trouble with your dad again?"

"No it's not that," Trent answered her, "I just..." Hayley walked back over to the others looking confused. "I just have to quit. Sorry."

Jessica and Kira both shared a look before the Green Ranger got up from her set to after Trent.

"Hey!" she called as she followed him, "wait a minute?" Trent let out a sigh just as Jessica walked up to him. "Your just going to bail on Hayley like that?"

"Yeah, I know," Trent agreed as he looked over at Hayley, "it seems sudden."

"Don't you think you owe her some kind of explanation?" Jessica asked.

"You don't understand," Trent answered, "Jessica something weird has happened. And I feel like if I don't tell someone then I'm going to explode."

"What is it?" the Green Ranger asked looking and sounding worried for Trent, "you can tell me."

Just as he was about to answer her, Cassidy walked into through doors almost hitting them.

"Excuse people!" she called, "important announcement!" Jessica looked over at Kira looking confused. "Attention! Look at me!" Jessica looked back at Cassidy as she walked towards the stage. "I have to scoop of the century!" Kira, Conner, and Ethan all walked up to Jessica and Trent looking confused. "Excuse me girl, I need the stage." They all watched as Cassidy walked up the steps looking happy. "And as my faithful core audience I thought I share with you guys first."

"What do you think this is about?" Ethan asked as he looked to the Red and Yellow Rangers.

"Maybe she decided to run for Queen," Kira suggested.

"I have uncovered the identity of the one and only White Ranger," Cassidy announced making the 4 Rangers look at her in shock, "and any minute now, my assistant Devin is going to come through that door with videotape evidence." Everyone looked to the door to see if Devin does come through it with the tape. "Any minute." Jessica and Kira shared a look with a smirks as a minute went by and Devin wasn't there. "Where is he?"

Just then Devin run through the door looking like the devil was after him.

"Oh Cas!" He called once he saw her, "I'm here!" The Rangers watched as he ran up to her. "Sorry I'm late!"

"So?" Cassidy asked as Devin came to a stop next to her on the stage, "Devin, where's you camera?"

"See, that might be just...a little problem," Devin answered.

"Only if you don't have it," Cassidy growled before Devin smiled a small smile and whispered something in her ear. "Ladies and gentlemen..." Cassidy turned back to everyone. "It appears that the White Ranger is...taped on a camera that Devin stupidly loaned his sister, but when she returns it, I'll be sure to let you know."

Everyone in the cafe groaned while Cassidy turned to say something to Devin while Jessica turned to talk to Trent.

"So Trent?" she asked, "what is it you want to talk about?"

It was then that she realized that Trent wasn't there anymore making her look around in confusion.

Dock's Warehouse!

Trent walked through the Warehouse area before he started to feel his gem trying to take over.

"It's happening again," Trent said looking at his gem that soon started glowing white before he was forced to morph. "Now that's better."

Trent found himself walking around the dock's warehouses when he heard a weird sound caught his attention which also made him to glance left as Elsa and Zeltrax teleported in through a bright flash of swirling green light. "Looks like I've got company."

"We have a special invitation to you both from Mesogog," Elsa told them.

"It's more of a command," Zeltrax stated, "join him or be destroyed."

"I don't know how many times I have to say it," Trent said annoyed, "I'm not interested."

"Maybe this will change your minds?" Zeltrax growled before sending waves of bright blue electricity in the direction of the White Ranger before he and Elsa drew their weapons and charged.

With the Drago Sword in hand, the White Ranger met them halfway. Trent easily dodged Zeltrax's attack knocking the man away as Elsa came in close with her sword locking it against the Drago Sword.

"Haven't we met?" the White Ranger asked making her sneer in anger as he twisted her around before flooring her. Trent then turned to meet Zeltrax again parrying all his sword attacks and kicking him in the gut. Trent then slashed him across the chest as well and sent him flying into a pack of barrels as Elsa ran up attempting some sort mesh of moves on him that basically did nothing before he kicked her backwards into the arms of the newly rising Zeltrax. "You guys are a joke."

Just then the sound of the Raptor Cycles where heard just as the Red, Blue, Yellow, and Green Rangers rode up.

"Hold it right there!" Conner ordered them.

"Great, that's all we need," Elsa stated.

"Whoa," Ethan said before looking at Conner, "whose side do we take?"

"Good question," Conner answered.

"We'll make it easy for you," Elsa told them before she and Zeltrax vanished.

The White Ranger turned to face the 4 Rangers.

"If you had any sense you'll run, too," Trent told them.

"Dream on," Kira told him.

"Let's do it," Conner told them as they all pulled out their weapons.

They all charged as Trent pulled out his weapons as well. The White Ranger knocked Conner, Kira, and Ethan to the ground before he locked swords with Jessica and pushed her up against a wall.

"Had enough yet?" he asked her.

"Hardly," Jessica growled. "Super Dino Mode."

The lines on her suit became pronounced before pushed Trent off of her attacked him using quick ninja moves mixed in with samurai moves that sent him to the ground.

"You'll pay for that," the White Ranger growled before he drew arrows in the air, "I'm taking you down."

Jessica was just about to jump back in when the arrows hit her knocking her to the ground hard and out of Super Dino Mode. Conner, Kira, and Ethan jumped in front of the down Green Rangers.

"Lasers, fire!"

The three primaries fired their Thundermax Blasters at the White Ranger only for him to catch them and then send them back to the three. This knocked all three to the ground which ticked Jessica off.

"That's enough," she growled as she rushed back into the fight.

Jessica tried to fight him hand to hand, but the White Ranger just proved to be stronger then her.

"Your a little out of your league, don't you think?" Trent asked her before sending her to the ground again by slashing her across her chest, "see my point?" The White Ranger started to drew arrows again just as Jessica groaned while she stood back up ready to continue fighting even though she was in pain. "Fire!" This sent Jessica back to the ground and forced her to de-morph while the other three jumped in hoping to keep the White Ranger away from her only to get back to the ground again. "Back off!" Trent started to walk over to the down Green Ranger while he straighten his gloves. "I never really liked the color Green." The White Ranger kneeled down behind Jessica who couldn't get up because of the pain. "Well, Green Ranger, time to say goodbye." He grabbed onto her wrist tightly, twisting it painfully as he wrenched her to a sitting position. He raised his fist to punch her, but froze when she looked up at him, her face slightly twisted in pain and hatred. "Huh?" Trent paused while his voice softening a moment as images of the girl, Jessica, and moments she shared with him flashed across his mind. "Jessica?" Jessica looked confused as the White Ranger just at her. "I…I…Ah!"

Jumping to his feet, Trent and the evil White Gem battled for control and it sent rivulets of pain through his head. He cursed while holding his head and it was enough for the other 3 Rangers to gather their forces.

"You ready?" Conner asked Ethan and Kira as they stood up.

"Oh yeah," Ethan answered.

"SUPER DINO MODE!"

Both boys and Kira ran forward and launched themselves at the disoriented White Ranger knocking him to the ground. As he stood up slowly, they tag-teamed him by kicking and punching and sending sparks flying from the White Ranger's body until one massive explosion of power went off, sending the injured enemy Ranger to him knees. They all powered out of Super Dino Mode, watching him.

"I'll be back!" he swore before running off.

"Power Down."

Once they had de-morphed the three of them ran over to Jessica who was still on the ground.

"Jessica?"

"Are you ok?"

Jessica looked over at Ethan as she held her wrist.

"Yeah," she answered before walking forward, "I'll be fine."

Lake Clearing!

"Trent?" Jessica asked as she walked up to the boy who looked up at her and closed his sketch book, "is that you?" Jessica sat down next to him on the bench. "Hey, where did you go?"

"I'm sorry," Trent apologized, "I shouldn't have took off like that."

"Look, I can't help you if I don't know what's going on," Jessica told him before he let out a sigh and showed her his drawing of the White Ranger. "Trent, if you're gonna dream about being a superhero, the White Ranger is not who you wanna be."

"I wish I had a choice," Trent told her.

"What are you saying?" Jessica asked having a good guess, but was hoping she was wrong, however, Trent held out his wrist to show her the White Dino Gem Bracelet. "You!" Trent just nodded his head. "But you almost annihilated me."

"But I didn't," Trent told her, "once I knew it was you..."

Jessica stood up at once going to walk away, but Trent got up and grabbed her wrist.

"Let go of me," she ordered him pulling her wrist back.

"Jessica, I couldn't help it!" he explained, "the Gem…it's changed me. I can't take it off or control what I'm doing. You gotta believe me."

"Why should I?" Jessica asked.

"Because I would never intentionally hurt anyone, Jessica," Trent answered, "especial you."

"Okay," Jessica aid finally giving in because he sound so sinecure, "I think I know some people who can help." Jessica looked at the water. "I'm going to get Conner, Kira, and Ethan."

"Why them?" Trent asked.

"Well...because..."

"Wait a minute," Trent said as it hit him, "them, too?"

"Hard to believe, but true," Jessica answered, "look, I need you to wait here till I come back."

"Okay," Trent agreed making Jessica smile before she took off.

Trent went back to drawing to clear his mind when a net came crashing down over him and he was pulled to his feet by a horde of Tyrannodrones. The bench fell over and his sketches went flying to the ground as he was pulled further away.

"What do you want?" Trent asked while he struggled to fight.

It, however, was of no use cause in a flash of green from the Invisiportals they were gone.

Dino Lab!

"Trent?" Ethan asked after Jessica had explain who the White Ranger is and why, "there's just no way."

"Nice," Conner growled out, "pretending to be our friend one minute and then kicking our butts the next. I can't believe I fell for that."

"I told you, he can't help it," Jessica stated, "the gem's to powerful."

"Stop defending him," Conner told her.

"I'm with Conner on this one," Ethan agreed, "I'm mean, look at what he did to Dr O." Jessica looked at Dr O for a bit before looking at the two boys and girls.

"And that's where you two need to think," Jessica growled out, "don't you remember the Video Dairy?"

"What's that got to do with this?" Conner and Ethan asked as Kira looked at Dr O with a look that screamed that she understood.

"If the Originals gave up on trying to help Dr O when he was an Evil Power Ranger do you think that he'll be here today or us for that matter?" to everyone's surprise it was Kira who asked the question.

Jessica smiled at Kira in thanks for looking at Hayley.

"Hayley, he needs our help?"

"I'm not sure that there is anything I can do," Hayley told her, "but, I'll try."

"Hey, don't go without us," Conner stated as he stopped Hayley from walking away, "I've got some things that I'd like to say to that guy."

"No doubt," Ethan agreed.

Jessica narrowed her bright blue eyes at the two of them.

"If the Dino Gems weren't encoded to our DNA then I would have asked Dr O if we could trade you two in for Hunter and Blake," Jessica growled at the Red and Blue Ranger as she walked past, "at least they know that your suppose to help a fellow Ranger and not try to destroy them."

Conner and Ethan looked at each other in shock while Kira was giggling.

Lake Clearing!

The 5 of them ran up to the tip over bench in the clearing where Jessica had talked to Trent.

"He was suppose to wait right here," Jessica stated as she picked up the sketch book.

"There's a surprise," Ethan stated, "he lied to us again."

"Jessica, I'm telling you," Conner started, "Trent can't be trusted."

Jessica looked at Conner for a bit before she turned and Ninja streaked away from them.

"Way to go Conner," Kira growled as she smacked him upside the head.

Mesogog's Lab!

"GET OFF ME!" Trent yelled as he struggled to fight against the Tyrannodrones.

"So," a creepy voice said, "the White Ranger paid us a visit at last." He walked in front of them. "Let's finally see the man behind the mystery."

The Tyrannodrones pulled off the nets and Trent looked up at Mesogog.

"You two," Elsa said.

"Impossible," Zeltrax added.

"Well, well," Mesogog said as he moved closer, "Anton Mercer's Son: Trent." Trent glared at him with hatred. "How deliciously perfect."

"What are you talking about freak?" Trent asked, "what do you want with me?"

"I want you fight by my side," Mesogog answered as he walked to his throne, "as we bring the world back to the beautiful magnificent era of the Dinosaurs."

"Your out of your mind," Trent growled, "I'll never help you fight."

"Oh, but you well," Mesogog told them as he got into Trent's face again, "think of it White Ranger." Trent still struggled with the Tyrannodrones. "Without the divine powers the modern world doesn't stand a chance, We'll crush them like ants."

"Forget it," Trent told him, "I'll never help you."

"You don't have choice," Mesogog stated as he looked back at him, "now that the White Dino Gem as bond with you it's only a matter of time before you turn completely evil."

"I won't," Trent told him, "I'll fight it."

"For awhile maybe," Mesogog agreed, "but your wills are no match for the gems powers. In fact you two can feel them changing you already can't you?" Trent and Sam looked at not at all saying anything. "I thought so. It'll be so much easier to just give into it. Don't fight it. Embraced your new found power. Join me Trent." Mesogog leaned into Trent's face. "Join me...join me."

"NO!" Trent yelled making his Gem glowed and with in no time he had knocked the Tyrannodrones off of him and he was morphed into his Ranger form. "I'm out of here."

Trent pulled out his Drago Sword before he created arrows in the air before sending them flying creating smoke. When the smoke cleared Trent was no where to be seen.

Wind Ninja Academy!

Jessica let out a sigh as she walked through the hidden entrance of the Wind Ninja Academy to see Tori walking towards her.

"I thought that was you," the older blonde said with a smile.

"Hey, Tor," Jessica sighed.

This caused the older blonde to raised an eyebrow as Cam, Dustin, and Shane walked over to them.

"What's wrong?" Shane asked as he walked up.

Jessica looked up at the four of them before letting out a sigh.

"We found out who the White Ranger is."

Cam and Shane shared a look when they saw a down and upset Jessica that remembered them of Tori.

"Who is it?" Dustin asked.

"Trent a boy from my school," Jessica answered.

"And the boy who you have a crush on," Shane spoked up only to get a glare worthy of a Green Ranger.

"Can it Shane," she growled making the other three laugh before she let out a sigh, "Tori, how did you handle the whole Blake is evil thing?"

"Well, I was upset and hurt, but I did everything I could to help him and Hunter," Tori answered with a smile before she frowned, "why?"

Jessica looked up at her older Sister before she leaned up against a tree.

"Conner and Ethan think that Trent tricked us into being friends with him and if I'm reading their words right then they want to destroy him."

"WHAT?" all four former Rangers yelled in shock.

"Hayley and Kira believe that it's the White Dino Gem that's making him the way he is right now," Jessica went on, "is there a way to make Conner and Ethan to see reason at all?"

"I can't believe that my Successor in color is all for destroying a fellow Ranger," Tori and Shane groaned.

Just then Jessica's morpher beeped making all five of them to look at it as the Green Ranger brought it up to her lips.

"What's up Hayley?"

"Meet the others at Downtown," Hayley answered, "Trent's back and he's not happy."

"On my way," Jessica informed the red head before she look at the others with a small smile, "I have to run."

Shane walked up to Jessica and placed a hand on her head with a smile.

"Don't let him walk all over you, but don't give up on him either."

"Right," Jessica agreed with a bigger smile, "thanks Shane."

The four former Rangers watched as the new Green Ranger turned ran out of the Wind Ninja Academy with a smiles each.

Outside Secret Entrance!

Jessica let out another sigh before she looked around the place. Once she was sure that the cost was clear she brought her arm up and her morpher appeared.

"DINO THUNDER! POWER UP! HA!"

After she had quickly morphed, Jessica took off into a ninja streak to meet up with the others.

Downtown!

Trent appeared downtown in his ranger form before bring their morphers to his lips.

"DragoZord, StegaZord!" Trent called before he jumped into the DragoZord. "Dino StegaZord Formation." The two Zords combined together to form the White Ranger's own MegaZord. It wasn't long enough till the three MegaZords where facing off against each other. "A new Dino Zord, huh? I'll add it to my collection."

"I don't think so," Conner told them before the two MegaZords went in as Jessica watched from the ground.

The Thunderous MegaZord and the Dino StegaZord Formation started to play tug-a-war before the new Zord sent both MegaZords to the ground. When the two MegaZords got back up the two of them started to fight, but the Dino StegaZord Formation sent both MegaZords to the ground before the enemy MegaZord was attacked by the new Zord. However, when the Thunderous MegaZord got back up they combined with the new Zord.

"Lasers fire," Trent ordered, but the Thunderous MegaZord blocked the attack sending it back to them.

Trent growled when the primary Rangers attacked them with both drills knocking the Dino StegaZord Formation to the ground. They all cheered before the Dino StegaZord Formation got back up.

"Don't think this is over," Trent told them before he vanished.

'I was here again because?' Jessica thought to herself before letting sigh again.

Lake Clearing!

Jessica sighed as she watched the family of ducks bob for food in the lake while she held one of Trent's White Ranger drawings in her hands and stared at it intently as she wished that it could all be a nightmare, just a horrible dream that had never happened.

"I thought I might find you here," a voice said and she turned to see Trent standing there, smiling sadly.

"Why didn't you wait for me?" she questioned.

"I did, it's just…it's a long story," he tried to answered before looking down at the drawing she held. "You know it's funny...I always thought it would be cool to be a superhero. But…this isn't how I'd draw myself."

"Look," Jessica said as she looked up, "let us help you?"

"No, it's to late," Trent answered, "the Gem's already taken over just like he said."

"Who?" Jessica asked.

"It doesn't matter," Trent stated, "I have to go away..." Trent stopped before he looked up at Jessica. "I have to go away. It's not safe to be around me."

"But..."

"Look I said no!" Trent told her more loudly.

Trent grabbed the picture before he threw it into the water.

"Trent," Jessica whispered quietly.
