[Chapter 15: Bully for Ethan!]

Dino Lab!

Jessica and Kira walked over to Tommy carrying stacks of paper before they dropped it on the table making the Black Ranger to jump.

"No offense Dr O," Kira spoke up, "you need serious improvement when it comes to organization."

"Got that right," Jessica agreed as she and Kira sat down.

"That's why your both here," Tommy told them, "thanks for helping me out."

"What is all this stuff anyway?" Jessica asked.

"Oh, odds and ends," Tommy answered, "mostly before I joined up with Mercer. I thought as along as I'm stuck in my Ranger form, I may as well put the time to good use."

Kira and Jessica moved aside piece of paper before they came upon a picture for the former Rangers all in morph without their helmets.

"Wow," Kira breathed as she picked it up, "nice hair."

Jessica giggled as Kira handed the picture to him.

"Hey, it was in style back then," Tommy told them as he took the picture.

Jessica and Kira looked at each other before going back to papers trying not to laugh.

"Is this who I think it is?" Kira asked as she hold up another picture.

"Man," Tommy sighed as he took it, "that seems like a life time ago." Jessica and Kira just looked at Tommy. "This picture was taken as my first dig."

"Whose that guy," Kira asked as she pointed to the other male in the photo.

"He's name is Terence Smith, but everyone called him Smitty," Tommy answered.

"What happened to him?" Jessica asked.

"It's kinda of sad really," Tommy answered, "he and I were up for the same job at Anton Mercer Industries. Anton chose me so Smitty went to work for another company. Then there was this accident."

"Not really a happy family memento," Kira told him.

"I'm not sure of where it came from," Tommy stated as he looked at the two girls, "just put over there on that trash pile."

Jessica took the picture while Kira watched.

"Ok," the girls agreed as Jessica dropped the picture into the box.

The three of them went through more of the stuff before Tommy turned to the girls.

"Why don't you two girls go on and get to school," he told them.

"Alright," Jessica agreed as she stood up and grabbed her green backpack off the ground.

"Are you sure Dr O?" Kira asked.

"I am," Tommy answered with a nod.

"Well, then," Kira sighed as she grabbed her own yellow backpack, "see ya."

The two female Rangers took off out of the lap heading for Reefside High.

Reefside High!

Kira and Jessica rushed to class only to come upon Ethan and a new monster fighting.

"As if we're not late enough," Jessica and Kira groaned before they moved back to behind the pillars.

"Ready?" Jessica asked.

"Ready."

"Dino Thunder! Power Up! HA!"

The girls quickly morphed into their Ranger forms.

"Petra Power!"

"Para Power!"

Jessica and Kira pulled out their lasers and then jumped into the fight just as Ethan went down.

"Hey, back off!" Kira yelled as both girls fired their laser before landing.

"You're ok?" Jessica asked as they stood in front of Ethan.

"Little boy, why don't you step aside?" Kira asked.

"Little boy?" Ethan asked in disgust.

"Go on Ethan," Jessica whispered as she jerked her head, "go."

"Right," Ethan agreed once he caught on.

Jessica and Kira watched from the corner of their eyes to make sure that Ethan makes to the pillars before turning back to the monster and Zeltrax. Both female Rangers split up and took on their own opponent. Jessica locked swords with Zeltrax while Kira started to fight hand to hand combat with the monster. Zeltrax pushed the Green Ranger back and away from him while the monster kicked Kira in the back making her stumble a bit forward. Termitron jumped at Kira only to be knocked aside by Ethan who was morphed as the Blue Ranger.

"This guy bugs me," Ethan growled before getting into the fight.

Both Jessica and Kira teamed up against Zeltrax, but where kicked back just as Cassidy and Devin run up to them.

"Oh cool," Cassidy said with a smile, "girlie Rangers."

Jessica grabbed Cassidy's arm, pulled her away just Zeltrax swing his sword, and swings her away while Devin ducks the sword and goes to join Cassidy.

"So not the time," Jessica called over to them as she got back to fighting Zeltrax with Kira, "what the hell do they think their doing?"

"I have no idea," Kira answered as they noticed Cassidy trying to ask Ethan questions before the two girls and Zeltrax continued to fight only for the robot to kick Kira in the chest which knocked her back. "He always get's me with that one."

"How about this one?" Zeltrax asked as he blasted the two girls off their feet.

"Jessica, Kira!" Ethan called as he ran up to them.

"We're ok," Kira answered just Termitron joined back up with Zeltrax.

"Nice shot."

"I want you to give a message to the Black Ranger," Zeltrax told them.

"Haven't you ever heard of email?" Ethan asked.

"Tell him to surrender to me at the old warehouse before sunset or I will turn Termitron loose on the city," Zeltrax went on before they vanished in an invisiportal.

"Great," Ethan sighed before the three Rangers got up and ran towards the pillars demorphed and took for class.

Science Classroom!

All three Rangers ran into the classroom before coming to a holt in front of Anton while the rest of the class looked over at them.

"Sorry we're late," Ethan apologized, "did we miss anything?"

"Well, nothing you can't make up in detention," Anton told them, "after school, today."

"Great," Jessica groaned, "Tori is going to kill me."

"Why does this feel really familiar?" Kira asked as they started walking towards their seats.

Jessica gasp when Ethan was tripped by one of Conner's Soccer friends before she quickly went to help him up. Ethan looked over at the boy with a glare in place.

"My bad," the boy told Ethan with a smirk.

"Derrick, I believe that there are rules in the students hand book about treating your follow students with courtesy and respect," Anton said making the boy to look over at him as Kira and Jessica help Ethan to stand up before taking their sets, "why don't you join us in detention today? To review them." The boy and Ethan looked at each other making both Jessica and Conner worried. "Now, why don't we open our textbooks to chapter 8?"

As one the class did as they were told to do.

After school!

"You are going to tell Dr O about Zeltrax, right?" Kira asked as the four Rangers walked through the school.

"Yeah, ok," Conner answered, "but, what about you, Ethan?"

"What about me?" Ethan asked.

"The fight," Conner answered.

"The whole school knows about it," Jessica pointed out.

It was then just as to prove a point, Cassidy and Devin walked up arguing before they noticed Ethan.

"Oh, Ethan, hello," Cassidy greeted, "good luck for today, and if you happened to fall over, fall towards the camera. That'll be really good for me."

The four Rangers walked on as Cassidy and Devin left them.

"Look alike some people," Kira spoke up, "we're, your friends and we're not about to let you do something stupid. So Derrick is a bully who can kick your butt, who cares? Wait, your not going to use your Dino Power on him, right?"

"No, I'm not going to use my Dino power," Ethan answered.

"Dude, no offense, but without it..." Conner started.

"There are other ways to deal with a bully," Ethan interrupted him.

Conner watched as Ethan walked away from him with Kira and Jessica heading for detention.

Dino Lab!

"Your going?" Conner asked after having told Tommy about Zeltrax, "it's that walking right into his hands?"

"Maybe, but he's not going to stop pushing us around until some stand up to him," Tommy answered, "let's go see what Zeltrax is up, too. Come on."

Conner nodded his head before the two of them left the Lab.

Warehouse!

"Where is that hunk of junk?" Conner asked once he and Tommy arrived as the warehouse.

"Stay focus," Tommy told him, "I've got a bad feeling about this." The two of them looked around before Termitron appeared from around some boxes.

"You really are suckers for punishment," he stated as Tommy and Conner got into a fighting stance.

The two Rangers looked at each other before charging in at the monster.

Reefside High!

Jessica sat next to Kira who was setting next to Ethan as they watched the clock along with Anton Mercer.

"You may leave," Anton told them before he left.

"Well, that was fun," Kira groaned while Ethan let out a sigh.

Just then the 3 Rangers heard their morphers go off just as they were about to get up and leave. Ethan looks over at Derrick.

"We may have to reschedule," Ethan told him.

"I knew you would try to get out of it," Derrick said as he looked over at Ethan.

"Believe me, I want this over at much as you," Ethan informed him, "but, something just came up."

"He's not lying," Kira backed Ethan up, "it's important."

"Soon as I'm done, I'll be back," Ethan went on, "I'll meet you on the soccer field."

"One hour," Derrick informed Ethan as the three Rangers went to stand up making Ethan to look over at him. "And if you don't come back, I'll come looking for ya." Jessica looked at Ethan worried before she and Kira shared a look. "And you won't like when I find ya."

Quickly the three Rangers grabbed their backpacks and took off without saying a word to each other or Derrick.

Warehouse!

Kira, Jessica, and Ethan ran into the warehouse where they heard that Tommy and Conner where suppose to meet Zeltrax at only to find them beaten on the ground with Termitron standing in front of them.

"Guys!" Ethan yelled as he and the girls ran over to them.

The three of them helped the two down Rangers up before they stood next to each other looking at the laughing Termitron.

"I thought you were suppose to meet Zeltrax," Kira said as she looked over Tommy.

"I guess he was afraid to face me in person," Tommy stated.

"He'll be here," the monster told them, "I'm just the welcoming party."

"Well, I guess we'll just have to end this party then," Jessica said.

"And I guess we better change into our constums then," Conner added before the four unmorphed Rangers raised their left wrist in front of them where their morphers appeared. "Ready?"

"Read!"

"Dino Thunder! Power Up! HA!" The four Rangers quickly morphed into their Ranger forms. "Dino Power! Eya!"

Once morphed Conner jumped up into the air and kicked Termitron.

"You posers are no match for me," the thing told them, "bug bombs." Much to disgust and annoyance of the Rangers, they were attacked a swarm of insects. Conner managed to get away and roll to the side where he pulled out his blaster and destroyed the bugs quickly. "Hey! Those are my babies!"

"Feel this baby!" Conner told him as he attacked his staff, "Tyranno Staff!" Conner attacked Termitron repeated with his staff and even kicked him which sent the monster to the ground. "Let's put 'em together."

Calling on their own weapons, the four Rangers combined their weapons together like Conner ordered them to.

"Z-Rex Blaster!" they announced as Termitron stood up.

"Time to bug out."

"Fire!"

Conner pulled the trigger and they watched as Termitron was destroyed.

"Good work," Tommy praised them.

Jessica let out a groan as the bug returned on this time he was 30 feet tall. The Rangers all ran out of the warehouse looking up at him.

"I'm a big bad bug."

"You guys ready?" Tommy asked them as they looked up at the bug.

Just then an invisiportal appeared and Zeltrax came out of it making the Rangers all fall into defensive stances.

"Rangers."

"Better late then never." "I say my timing is perfect," Zeltrax told them, "give up and I'll call him or take your chances with me."

"You know what I choose guys?" Tommy asked as he looked back at them.

"Right," the others agreed.

The primary Rangers took off as Jessica stood back with Tommy who raised his morpher to his mouth.

"Brachio!" Tommy called before the black carrier Zord appeared and the three primary Zords combined into the Thundersaurus MegaZord. "Let me handle Zeltrax Jessica." "Are you sure?" the Green Ranger asked.

"I'm sure," Tommy answered with a nod, "just keep an eye on the others and join them if they need help."

"Right," Jessica agreed with a nod before Ninja Streaking to the top a warehouse building.

The Green Ranger looked down at Tommy who was fighting Zeltrax wondering they where talking about, but she turned back to the Zord fight when Zeltrax left. Jessica cheered as the primary Rangers destroyed Termitron for good before going to join them and Tommy.

Reefside High's Soccer Field!

Jessica, Conner, and Ethan walked over onto the soccer field towards a group of students who were waiting with Derrick.

"Are you sure you want to go through with this?" Conner asked Ethan, "he's a jerk."

"Would you trust me for once?" Ethan asked as he rolled his eyes at the Red Ranger just as they came to a stop in front of Derrick.

Both Jessica and Conner moved to stand in front of Ethan as they looked at the lousy soccer player.

"Out of the way McKnight, Hanson," Derrick told them, "this is between me and the geek here."

Conner looked at Ethan who just looked back before the two Rangers walked away leaving the two boys to stand next to Kira.

"Ok, here's the deal," Ethan spoke, "I could fight you. But, what would that prove? Instead I would like to make you a proposition."

Derrick scoffed at Ethan.

"Your bailing?"

"I think I can improve your game," Ethan answered making Derrick fold his arms as he listened, "if I do, you promise to back off me and my friends." Derrick just stood there looking at Ethan without saying a word and Ethan turned one of the members of his computer club. "My LT, please." Jessica rolled her eyes while Conner just shook his head as the member walked over and handed Ethan his Laptop. Ethan started to type away on the Laptop turning a bit for Derrick to see. "This is an image of you kicking." Derrick leaned a bit to the side to get a better view. "I superimposed against a pro-player in Manchester."

"How you do that?" Derrick asked once he saw the images.

"I'm a computer geek, remember?" Ethan asked.

"Oh yeah."

"Look," Ethan said as he replayed the images, "see where your blowing it? It's just that one little hitch in your kick."

Derrick looked at Ethan before looking at the goal as Jessica walked up with a soccer and handed over to Ethan. The two boys walked to where they stood in the front of the goal while the goalie stood ready before Ethan placed the ball in front Derrick and stepped back to stand with his follow Rangers. Once back Ethan nodded to Derrick who ran forward and kicked the ball which ended up in the net this made everyone cheer while Derrick smiled.

"I can't believe it worked," he told Ethan.

"I told ya." "Where did you learn how to do that?" Derrick asked.

"The net," Ethan answered, "well, the internet that is."

"That's pretty cool," Derrick admitted, "and I'm sorry about...about before. I just thought that a guy like you, you know, so smart and all wouldn't want to talk to a guy like me. I guess I was wrong."

Kira, Jessica, and Conner walked over to Ethan smiling.

"It's a brave new world out there my friend," Ethan told him as Conner clapped a hand on his shoulders.

"Oh yeah." "Let's go," Kira told him before all four Rangers walked away from the school smiling.
