40. Author's Note and Update (PLEASE READ)

Hi there, everyone.

For those who are fans of my SasuNaru / NaruSasu fanfic series "Changing Fate", please read this so you can know what expect in the future. Otherwise, you are more than happy to ignore this.

For those who don't know, I have been writing this story on and off since November 25, 2009 and I am very happy with how much feedback and support that the series has gotten. I am also very happy that everyone who had read the story supported my main OCs within in the story. It's greatly appreciated and I thank all of you for liking my OCs and what they bring to the story with interactions from the canon characters. Overtime, I have realized that even though the story is great, I think some changes are necessary to make the story more realistic and believable. Here are some of the changes that will be in included in "Changing Fate: NV (New Version)".

1# Brand new character designs

My characters designs were not really the best thing I came up the first time around and I think this needed to happen in order to set them apart from the canon characters in the story. Some of you have probably already seen some of the new designs for them for the series and you will see more for them in the future.

2# Longer chapters, stronger characterization, and changes in story plot.

Now, late last year, I read over the earlier chapters of my story and I literally cringed. Since I was just starting out writing, they were written horribly with poor characterization, very little detail, and worst of all, some characters WEREN'T IN character. Seeing that had drove me crazy and I wanted to kick myself thinking that my writing was awesome back then. With that set in mind, that pushed me into wanting to rewrite the story and make it even better. And the way I write the chapters seems like I'm dragging out the story a bit, so they will be longer and they will move at a faster pace. For the story plot, now that the Naruto series is over, I'm can truly give this story a better plot than what I had started out with. Hopefully, the changes won't deter my readers from continuing the story.

3# Solid background history and story setting

I realized that I didn't have enough background information to really set the story in motion and for my readers to get a full understanding of what was going on. Basically, I winged it on some of the earlier chapters which had a lot of inconsistency within the story and I don't want to do that in the rewritten version. Now, some people have asked me when does the story takes place and since this is a time-travel story, this story will be set in an AU Narutoverse where Naruto and all of his friends are between 17-19 years old.

So far, these are the main changes that will done to the story and hopefully, I will get the first chapter of the Changing Fate (NV) out soon. I will not say when since I'm still planning the early chapters out. For those who are wondering, I haven't given up on the story and I just want to improve on it and tweak it a bit so it sound better, but keep to the original concept that I had started with.

I will delete this once I get the new prologue out for this story. ^^
