Epilogue
"I still can't get how you can do this." Aria muttered, sitting on the couch next to Caleb.
Caleb chuckled and shrugged, careful not to wake the one-year and an half old baby sleeping in his arms.
"What can I say? All the girls love me. No matter how old they are." he replied in a whisper.
"Yeah, but she's my daughter. She's supposed to sleep when she's with her mother, or her father. Instead, she prefers you. Only you. It's kinda humiliating." Aria whispered back.
"Oh, c'mon... I'm way sexier than your husband! Emma Fitz has just a very good taste in men. And one day we'll probably get married, you know." he continued.
"Thanks for the consideration." Hanna playfully snapped from her seat next to him.
Caleb smirked and quickly pecked his girlfriend on the lips. They had been dating for two years now. They were still living together at Hanna's place, and everything seems perfect. Hanna had still her job at the mall and Caleb his one with his sister and father, but he could keep living in Los Angeles without a problem. They were still very close to Aria and Ezra, and now with their daughter Emma as well. The little one was particularly attached to Caleb, maybe because he was always more than willing to play with her pretending to be her prince charming.
Now they were at Aria and Ezra's, even though he wasn't there because he was working. Emma had fallen asleep between Caleb's arms a little while earlier, after playing with him for almost the whole afternoon.
"Caleb, do you mind to carry her to her room? The bed's ready." Aria asked smiling.
"Of course. Anything for my little princess." he replied smiling down at Emma, placing a kiss on her little forehead and then standing up.
He made his way towards Emma's room disappearing through the hallway. Aria took a deep breath and moved on the couch to be closer to Hanna.
"When are you gonna tell him?" Aria asked, careful to be quiet.
Hanna sighed and roamed a hand through her hair.
"I don't know. I'm freaking out..." she breathed out then, rubbing her temples.
"Han, you found out a week ago. You have to tell him. Don't you see how good he is with Emma?"
"Yeah, but... We're talking about his baby. I'm scared of his reaction... I basically twisted his life from the moment I met him. I made him lose his job, fight with his sister, sell his apartment, and now what? I'm giving him a kid! And this is definitely a big deal."
"Those things happened two years ago, Han. And for the nth time, he didn't lose his job at the mall because of you. Anyway, you're right when you say that this is a big deal, but... It's great. It's a good thing. Caleb's a nice guy and if you guys have been together for two years there will be a reason, right? I'm sure he'll be happy about the news."
Hanna swallowed and closed her eyes.
"What if he won't be?" she murmured then.
"You only have a way to find out." Aria shrugged.
Hanna rubbed her eyes.
"But I'm sure he will. And well, if he really won't, you know you'll always have me." Aria continued, smiling softly.
Hanna smiled back and then hugged her friend, as Caleb walked back to where they were.
"Whoa, are we celebrating something?" he asked innocently, climbing on the couch next to Hanna.
Hanna tried to keep neutral her expression as she turned around towards her boyfriend.
"Nothing. I was just hugging my bestfriend." she replied.
Caleb sneaked an arm around her shoulders and pulled her closer to him, as she rested her head on his chest.
"Everything okay with Emma?" Aria asked him.
"Yeah. She's sleeping like a little angel." Caleb smiled.
"I've done the babysitter for quite a while and you're better than me with her. Crazy." Hanna muttered.
Caleb chuckled and kissed the top of her head.
"I'm her mom and he's better than me. I should be the one pissed off here." Aria snapped.
"Don't hate me, ladies. It's not my fault." Caleb shrugged smirking.
"You'd be an excellent dad." Aria said casually, causing Hanna to glance deadly at her.
Caleb chuckled again.
"We'll see, we'll see..." he added, rubbing Hanna's back.
Hanna didn't dare to say anything, then Aria cleared his throat and stood up from the couch.
"You guys wanna stay for dinner? Ezra should be here soon, I'll set the table." she said.
"No, Aria, thanks. I'm pretty tired, I think I'll go straight to bed." Hanna murmured.
"Are you sure?" Aria asked.
"Yeah, don't worry. Caleb, can we go home?"
"Sure, babe." he replied, moving his arm away from her so that she could get up.
She got up and Caleb did the same, then the pair said goodbye to Aria and walked outside to Caleb's car to go home. The drive was short and silent. Hanna smashed her head against the window of the passenger seat and didn't say a single word, watching the world speed by. Caleb occasionally shot her a look, but then he saw her absent-minded so he returned to focus on the street.
When they got home, Caleb headed to the kitchen to start cooking something, but Hanna stopped on the door frame, looking at him.
"Caleb, I'm going to bed. I'm tired." she announced.
"Babe, you need to eat something first."
"No, look, I'm not hungry. I just want to sleep. Eat whatever you want, don't worry about me. I'll just be upstairs."
Caleb didn't push her. He just approached her and kissed her on the lips, whispering a soft 'goodnight' before returning to the stoves.
Hanna stripped in her underwear, then put on one of Caleb's t-shirts and climbed into bed, placing her own hand on her flat belly as a few tears streamed down her cheeks. She was scared to tell him. She was scared to lose him. She was just scared.
Caleb ate pasta for dinner and then watched a football match on TV sprawled on the couch. When it was over, he went to shower and then got in the bedroom. The lights were off and Hanna was lying on her side. He slipped in just a pair of boxers and then got into bed next to her, wrapping an arm around her waist. When Hanna felt his presence, she rolled over so she was facing him and snuggled against his chest, as Caleb kissed her head.
"Still awake?" he whispered.
"Yeah... I was tired but I couldn't sleep. I guess I just needed you." she replied quietly.
Caleb rubbed her cheek and smiled.
"So... What do you feel? Like... We should start buying something blue or something pink?" he asked suddenly.
Hanna immediately lifted her head and looked at him in shock, without being able to let out anything from her mouth.
"Babe, I'm not stupid. I know you're pregnant." he continued.
"W-what?" Hanna stuttered, incredulous.
Caleb let out a small laugh.
"Yeah, well... You've been acting weird for a few days. And... I know it was possible to happen. I mean, I'm pretty sure I was there too when it happened, right? Maybe those few times when we had no condoms but we didn't manage to hold ourselves back, you know... Then, all those things that Aria said about me being an excellent dad and stuff, well... I knew that she would have known before anyone. So... I just understood." he explained, smiling.
"Oh..." Hanna managed to murmur.
"Oh?" Caleb chuckled.
"Are you... Are you happy?" she asked with a tip of worry into her eyes.
Caleb stayed silent for a few seconds, playing with a strand of her hair through his fingers.
"Yeah, I think so. I mean, I still have to realize, but... I think it'll be great, yeah." he murmured then.
Hanna relaxed in a soft smile and nodded slightly.
"When did you find out?" he asked.
"A week ago. I took the test with Aria. She bought it for me, like I bought it for her two years ago. I didn't want you to see the test and freak out a second time." she replied, giggling.
Caleb chuckled and shook his head.
"But why didn't you tell me?" he asked then.
Hanna shrugged and lowered her gaze. Then, Caleb restarted speaking.
"You were scared that I was gonna leave?"
"Maybe..." Hanna replied softly.
Caleb lifted her chin with his pointer finger, forcing her to look up at him.
"Han, look at me." he whispered. "I'm not the same idiot of two years and something ago. We've been together for quite a long time by now, we live together and, most of all, we love each other. I'm a little shocked thinking about having a kid, honestly, but I have to face the situation. It's my responsibility. Our responsibility. I'm pretty sure that we can do this, if we'll be together. I'm not going anywhere, okay?"
Hanna smiled softly and nodded.
"Sorry. I should have told you, you're right." she added.
"Well, it doesn't matter now. Let's just hope that our little one will be as good as Emma, so there won't be any problem." he smirked.
Hanna let out a small laugh and then snuggled against his chest, implicitely asking him to hold her. He did so, kissing the top of her head and stroking her hair.
"You didn't answer my question, though." he murmured through her blonde locks.
"Which question?"
"Blue or pink?"
Hanna smiled and lifted her head to kiss him on the lips.
"I don't know, but... If it's a girl, you should know that I will never call her Jess." she said then.
Caleb laughed loudly.
"Deal. As long as we won't call him Noel if it's a boy." he added.
"Deal."
"And then we should get married and buy a bigger house, what do you think?"
Hanna smiled.
"I don't know. I mean, yeah, probably. But I just want us to be together. I don't mind if we'll wear a ring or how big our house will be." she replied.
Caleb then leaned in, kissing her gently. Their lips moved together in perfect synchrony, and when they pulled away, Hanna was smiling widely.
"I've been watching you with Emma and it makes me think that you'll be the greatest dad ever." she murmured.
Caleb shrugged, smiling.
"I don't know. But even if I'm a little scared, I can't wait to find out. You'll be amazing as well, though. Trust me." he whispered back.
"I hope so. But we'll do this together, right?"
"Together, I promise." he nodded.
Hanna kissed his chin and then curled up against his chest.
"You know, it doesn't matter if it'll be a boy or a girl. I just kinda hope that the eyes will be like yours." Caleb said after a little while.
"Really?" Hanna laughed.
"Yeah. It was the first thing that I noticed about you."
"You little liar. The first thing that you noticed about me is probably my ass, or my breasts."
Caleb laughed.
"Okay, maybe you're right. But..." he whispered, and then lifted Hanna's chin to look into her eyes.
Hanna looked at him and saw that he had become serious. Then, he continued.
"But your eyes are the first thing that made me fall in love with you."
Hanna cupped his face and kissed him passionately.
"I love you." she whispered against his lips.
"I love you too." he replied, before restarting to kiss her.
Caleb rolled over and went on top of Hanna, pulling himself up with his arms not to make his whole weight press on her tiny body, as Hanna hooked her thumbs in the waistband of his boxers. Caleb lifted the hem of the shirt of his which Hanna was wearing, attempting at the same time to reach the drawer of the nightstand with his free hand, and Hanna laughed.
"Caleb, I'm pregnant. We already did the mess." she said.
Caleb laughed as well.
"Oh... Right." he added, before leaning in and restarting what he had just stopped.
A/N: Ooooh my God can't believe this is overrr! O_O ...Well, first of all I'm really sorry for being so late, but the truth is that I was REALLY busy reading "The Fault In Our Stars" which I got for Christmas :) Haha, please forgive me :P So... I don't even know how to thank all of you guys for the way you've supported me throughout these months :') I never wrote an AU before, or a story rated M, and this was my first attempt. Honestly, I've always read them, but I couldn't think about WRITING them. I don't know, I was a little skeptical, I thought it wasn't really my scene. But I have to admit that I'm glad I gave a try, because I enjoyed a lot making up a new universe and also writing hot scenes :P I'm so grateful for all of your words, they helped me a lot to keep the story up and to be a little more self-confident :) So... I hope you all liked this epilogue, I thought Hanna's pregnancy was the best way to end this story :) Plus I had to show how cute Caleb was with Aria's daughter ;) (btw I want so bad Hanna to have that pregnancy scare on the show, did you read the spoiler?) ...So, I think that's all. Once again, THANK YOU, and yeah, it'll be really appreciated if you let me know one last time your thoughts about this. Then, if someone wants to ask me something or talk about Haleb or suggest something or whatever, feel free to PM me. You guys are amazing! Love you all :):):) (PS. please, write more Haleb stuff...it's seriously needed out here!) xx -Atramea.
