I stayed there all night waiting for him to wake up, I tried to occupy myself asking Deaton if anything needed to be done, checking twitter. Anything to occupy myself from crying again. But that wasn't the only thing that was I was occupying myself from. It was the Winter Formal it's been leading up to this event ever since Scott was bitten. I don't know what to do, how do someone tell their loved ones they're going to die in 14 hours.
"Ella can I ask you some questions?" Deaton pulled me from my thoughts as I looked up at him. I looked hell wearing the same thing that I wore last night, my hair was a mess, and my jeans had brown stains from the dirt.
"Sure what do you want to know?" I ask facing him as he pulls out a book from his shelf.
"How long have you known Scott?" He asks
"Well I've seen him from family reunions sometimes when my mom and dad came here. But we got to know each other when I moved up here after my parents died. He became my own family and it grew when I went to school and met all my friends" I answer him and he looks at me like he's evaluating me
"Ok when did this happen" He points to my hand which starts to glow.
"Well after meeting certain individuals and after a series of unfortunate events he gave it to me but hasn't given me no way to control it"
"You really are remarkable"
"What do you mean?" I ask him. He opens up the book and dust comes flying out making me cough. Turning several pages he stops on a page titled the Unum Fateless
"Some call you The Unwritten One, The Child Of Autumn, Herald of the Gods, The Scion, Beckoned, You go by many names but you are called the Unum Fateless which is translated into Fateless One" I begin to look at the book and examine it
"What does that mean?" I ask him
"Every hundreds of years there comes time where the Ancients themselves bring something into the world. A person who is created to have no fate, they have one at first but the moment that person dies they are unbound from fate and has power to unravel it into a weapon" Deaton explains
"So then that means I really do have to die DAMMIT!" I yell
"But you'll come back" Deaton tells me "You'll come back as the person you were meant to be" He says
"Are you sure?" I walk up to him "Are you absolutely sure that I'm going to come back?" I look at him
"Yes I'm absolutely sure" Even though I haven't know him for this long I trust him for some reason.
"So how do you know all this stuff?" I ask him
"You know how I work with werewolves?" I nod at him "Well my job is also goes with other things" I say
"Other things? Like what?" I ask him
"Let's not dive into that" We hear some movement from the operation move and look that Scott is up and moving
"Welcome back to the land of conscious" Deaton says to him I give him a hug and he hugs back
"How you feeling?" I ask him
"Maybe you sit down for a minute" Deaton says. Then we hear the bell ringing someone came in. Who coming here at 6AM? Deaton was about to walk to the door but Scott stops him. He goes anyway
"I'm sorry but we're close" Deaton says to the person
"I'm expecting a pick up" It was Peter how did he know Scott was here, was it because of his Alpha powers? I try to find a way out but Scott grabs me pulls me to a corner
"I don't remember you dropping off" Deaton tells him
"This one wandered in on his own and another followed" Peter tells him
"Even though you did I'm afraid we're still close"
"I think you can make an exception for this one time. Don't you?" Peter said
"I'm sorry that's not going to be possible. Maybe you can comeback during regular hours" Deaton tells him. There's a moment of silence for a minute
"You have something of mine I'm here to collect it" Peter tells him
"Like I said, were closed" Deaton replies
"Mountain ash. That's an old one" Suddenly a crash sounded
"Let me be clear as possible, WE. ARE. CLOSED." Deaton said.
"What is he saying Scott?" I ask him
"He's going to go after Allison" Scott replies. We leave the clinic and go back to the house. Stiles was there to asking what happened to Jackson as Scott was going to reply he realized he didn't have his phone which was bad. We went up to his room to look for it. For two hours he's been looking for it
"Call it again" He says while he dives down under the bed
"So you lost your phone why can't you just buy another one?" Stiles said
"I can't afford another one and I can't do this alone. I need to find Derek" Scott replies
"Ummm A you're not alone you have me and El and B didn't you say that Derek went into gunfire?" Stiles said and I wave at him
"Argent's plan is too use him to get the Alpha so they want kill him" I say to him
"So then let them what they're planning. Let them do what they're planning" Stiles said
"Not if Peter is going to use Allison to get him I can't do this on my own. Which means we need to find Derek. Just help me" Scott begs too us
"Maybe you lost you know after he was trying to kill you when you interrupted him trying to kill Jackson. Don't you see a pattern here?" Stiles answer him
"He wasn't going to kill anyone and I'm not going to let him die" I say
"Can you just think about it for me" Scott stops looking for his phone
"Mom's home from work" Scott says
"What is she doing?" I ask
"Crying" I hate seeing her cry. I've only seen her cry once and that was when I was in the hospital and I woke up for the first time. I never seen her cry about anything else. If I see Peter again I'm going to hurt him for hurting her.
"Scott, you can't save everyone" Stiles tells him
"But I have to try" I look to him for a minute. I haven't told him about me dying tonight. We had to get to school as we were almost late. When I walked in I seen Erica
"Erica what's up?" I ask her and she looks up at me and hugs me
"I'm so glad you're okay, I heard what happened to you and I sent you a card" She says
"Yeah I seen it so are you going to the formal?" I asked her
"Naw I think I'll just stay at home and watch some movies play Mirror's Edge"
"I can't believe you're able to play that game. That game gives me major motion sickness" I tell her and we both laugh
"Listen thanks for being a good friend to me and just helping me with everything" Erica says as she hugs me again.
"Alright well I got to go I'll catch you later alright" I tell her as she walks away. Kiara walks up to me
"Hey girl welcome back" She hugs me
"What's up?" I ask her
"Well me Lydia, Allison and you are going dress shaping for the formal" She tells me. I forgot that I didn't have a dress yet so it's the perfect opportunity to get something new for the whole thing
"Alright well let's go" At the end of the day we all got in our cars and went to Macy's. Allison, Lydia, Kiara, and I were going up the escalator and Allison was talking about her relationship with Scott
"Nothing is wrong, I just let him behind" Allison told Lydia
"You can smile at least ever hear the saying "Don't frown someone could be enjoying your smile". Smile Allison I'm buying you a dress"
"I have to admit as far as apologies ago that's more than expected" Allison replied
"Excellent" Lydia answered
"Well that's when I'm going to interrupt you" I said
"What? What's that supposed to mean?" Lydia asked me I was going to say something but Kiara interrupted me
"It means you're going to cancel on the dumb roided up jock you said yes to girl. You deserve better than that so you are going to go with somebody else" She stole the words right out of my mouth
"Well then who?" She asked us. All of us looked toward the perfume counter and saw Stiles sniffing a bottle
"Him" I said then he started having a sneezing fit to the perfume way to make yourself look good
"Awwww don't frown Lydia someone could be in love with your smile" She looked at all of us with a devious stare and in it was official Lydia was going to the formal with Stiles in which Stiles had fainted a little bit. After he woke up Lydia dragged him into clothes shopping
"All of them? Is this a 24 hour Macy's?" That's when they walked off me, Kiara, and Allison were looking at some dresses when I saw Peter behind Allison.
"That's not your color but considering your skin tone I'd go lighter" Peter told her
"Oh well I think this is a great color for her don't you think Kiara" I nudge Kiara and she quickly nodded
"Yeah that looks great on her mysterious man" Kiara added
"Is it because I'm pale?" Allison asked
"Fair I mean you can't call skin like yours pale. With skin that perfect-"Was he being genuine no he's lying to her I know his real reasons but how do I get Allison away from him without being suspicious about it?
"Okay" Allison told him
"Trust me I have unique perspective on the subject do you mind?" Peter grabs her hands and holds up a dress to her skin
"See much better" Peter said to her but I was still wary about this
"So what does that make you? Are you the f'ing fashion police? Cause let me tell you Allison knows her style" Kiara asked Peter and I was trying to hold my laughter in so it wouldn't be embarrassing for myself
"No I'm just a helpful person. So what are you all shopping for a dance?" Peter asked and Allison nodded
"A high school dance?" He asks her
"Formal"
"Oh that's wonderful" Peter said this had gone on long enough but the overhead came on about Allison car
"Allison isn't that your car?" I asked
"Yeah" She and Kiara immediately left while I walked off and noticed that Scott was here. As I walked down the aisle I saw it the perfect dress. It was a short one shoulder light blue and white dress with blue and white glitter on it. It was amazing and perfect I snatched that and some silver opened toe heels, and a white purse to perfect the ensemble. I was going to look good for this shit
After getting the dress I met Scott at home getting ready for the formal.
"Hey thanks for the distraction at the mall" I told him
"No problem it's alright and I have to tell you something" Scott said
"What is it?" I asked
"Coach banned me from going to the formal so I'm having Jackson watching Allison by going to the formal with her. So I need you to watch them okay?"
"Damn I know that must suck having Jackson going to the formal with Allison"
"Yeah but it's the only thing that I can do"
"Well I have to tell you something" I led him to bed and I was nervous at his reaction
"Ella what's wrong?" He asks me
"Scott the stuff that Nyralim said is true"
"What do you mean?"
"I'm going to die"
"WHAT YOU'RE NOT GOING TO DIE"
"I am and it's going to happen at the formal"
"You can't go you'll-"
"Scott don't worry I'm going to come back"
"Are you sure?" He asks
"Yeah" He pulls me into a hug and for once I'm not even suffocated.
"Alright well I gotta get ready alright" Pulling out of the hug and going to my room to get ready. It's a rigorous processes which takes a good amount of time. I do my hair and make it curly flowing every time I move, I put on my usual makeup but make the mascara darker. Then I put on my dress and heels and I look at myself on the mirror I feel great and I look greater. When I walk out of the room Mom gasps and Scott stares
"You look amazing Ella" Mom said
"Yeah are you ready to go?" Scott said to me
"Yeah I'm ready" I said. We go to the school and get through dance Scott leaves me when get to the school. I start dancing with everyone and I see Danny and Kiara at the punch table
"Hey guys" I said and they both turn around. Danny was wearing a tux while Kiara was wearing a nice cream dress with ruffles at the end
"Girl you look great"
"So do you too" I said taking a drink of punch "How are y'all doing?"
"Well a little tipsy" Danny said wobbling a little bit
"You guys are drunk?" I ask them and they both laugh
"Only a little bit" I look towards Lydia and Stiles who has convinced her into dancing with him
"Way to go Stiles" I say
"Totally ship them Stydia all the way" I look at her funny she's definitely drunk
"MCCALL I SEE YOU!" Coach yells at Scott dammit he got caught and we see him pushing people out of the way. Scott makes his way towards us
"Danny dance with me" Scott says I spit a little bit
"What no" Danny tries to resist but is eventually pulled onto the dance floor to try and hide
"McCall you aren't supposed to be here-"Coach was immediately caught surprised by Scott being with Danny. The whole dance literally stop and Scott face was priceless
"Wait hold on- you guys don't think dance everybody just dance" Scott leaves after coach tries to save himself from a lynch mob and Danny meets his boyfriend who is holding drinks. Me and Kiara both laugh at the situation are ribs are hurting. I see Lydia leaving and going somewhere
"You know where Lydia is going?" I ask Kiara
"I don't know let's go" We both go follow her outside to the field
"Jackson!?" She yells
"Lydia what are you doing out here?" I ask her and she turns back at me
"Jackson texted me and said to meet me out here" She tells us suddenly all the lights turn on and were blinded by it
"Jackson? Jackson is that you" Lydia ask and Peter comes out of the shadows
"Lydia we need to run NOW" I grab her hand but it was too late Peter had bitten her in the side. Then I grabbed Kiara and she started to break out into a run as well but Peter grabs me and she stops turning back and yelling my name. He looks me in the eyes and as he says something I couldn't hear. But after he said that he bit me and I feel to the ground.
"ELLA, LYDIA" I hear Kiara yelling and before everything turns black I see two men dressed in green and red. When the world goes black I hear only them in the tuning of it
"It has begun"
