Honestly, the date was worse than Lucy had originally thought. Not only did she run into Natsu, but she felt like someone was watching her the entire time she was with Dan. Strange things happened as well. Like the one time when Dan had decided to try to win her the plushy she wanted (but failed), she found that exact plushy in front of her the next moment, unsure of how it had gotten there. Dan had just waved it off, saying it was "magic that happened from their love", which was ultimately false.

Lucy let out a sigh as she saw Dan next to her grinning like there was no tomorrow. She had always been so cold to him, so how could he still like to be around her? Lucy shook her head, and thought back to the strange things that were happening. Every time Dan would try to make a move on her, she would her growling from what seemed like an animal. I really bothered her, but she relaxed when she noticed that no one else around them had heard the possessive growling. Maybe it was just all in her head.

"So Dan, where do you want to go next?" The boy grinned, and tugged on Lucy's arm to some ride.

"Let's go on the love boat ride." Lucy felt embarrassed at his answer and tried to pull away. She didn't want to be alone with Dan on a boat in the dark.

"C-Can we n-not go on that r-ride?" Dan merely laughed at her question and pulled her closer to the ride.

"Why not Lu-pi? We are going on a date after all." She laughed nervously. She had only accepted his offer to go on a date because Natsu was there and she was pissed at him. Natsu. That name was stuck in her head all the time. Maybe it was because he had wild pink hair? Lucy let out a sigh and looked at Dan. She really didn't want to be alone with Dan. She opened her mouth to say something, but someone cut her off.

"Look buddy, the lady said no." She heard the familiar voice speak, but she wasn't able to see the person because he was pulling her away from Dan. She struggled against his grip. As much as she didn't want to go with Dan, she'd rather go with him then get kidnapped by someone.

"Let me go!" She squirmed around, until she unintentionally hit her kidnapper in the head, gaining his attention.

"Stop trashing around, Luce!" She stopped and looked at her kidnapper in surprise.

"N-Natsu?"

"Geez Luce, is this how you treat your savior?" He put her down gently and looked at her. He had missed her so much, but she didn't appear to miss him. He extended his arms towards her, and tried to embrace her. She flinched, causing him to drop his hands.

"Why are you here?" Her voice almost inaudible, but Natsu heard her. He looked confused, and laughed.

"Why wouldn't I be here? I work here." Lucy looked away, and waited a moment. He then realized what she was implying and looked away.

"I missed you so much, Luce." He said a determined look on his face. "I wanted to see you."

"Didn't you miss me?" Lucy thought for a minute. She was about to answer honestly, but the scene of Natsu and that mysterious girl appeared in her mind again.

"No." Natsu didn't look hurt. Instead he grinned.

"You're a horrible liar, Luce."

"I'm not a liar, and stop calling me Luce." There was a moment of silence before Natsu spoke up again.

"Why are you so mad at me, Luce? Tell me," Lucy looked away, making him grab her chin to keep her eyes locked with his.

"You're confusing me. One moment we were happy, and the next you decided to ignore me. You even went on a date with some guy and accused me of having a girlfriend. What's wrong with you?" His intense eyes peered into hers as she was somewhat unable to control her emotions.

"If I tell you, will you leave me alone?" He nodded. "Well, I-" Just as Lucy was about to speak, Natsu's phone rang. Muttering a string of profanities, Natsu pulled out his phone and looked at the caller ID.

Lisanna Strauss.

Not wanting to deal with her right now, Natsu canceled her call. He knew he was going to get lectured later, but right now Lucy was more important.

"Why didn't you pick up the call?" Natsu seemed surprised at her sudden question.

"Because I didn't want to. Anyways, weren't you going to answer my question?" Lucy cursed out loud. She hoped he had forgotten.

"Right," Lucy took a deep breath in. "When Levy and I had gone out one day after school, we passed by one of the Cafés and we saw you."

Lucy sputtered, making Natsu speak up. "Well then why didn't you wave to me or try to get my attention?"

Lucy turned a bright red, and looked everywhere but him.

"I actually did, but I stopped when I saw..."

"You saw what?!" Natsu demanded, making Lucy turn an even brighter shade of red (if that was even possible at this point).

"I saw you and your girlfriend there all lovey-dovey and I became so jealous. She was gorgeous compared to me, and you seemed happy when you were with her. Something inside me just snapped. How could you go on a date with me and yet have a girlfriend? I became pissed at you for deceiving me and I just-" Lucy rambled, but was cut off when Natsu pulled her into a hug. She hit his chest with her fists, but none of it seemed to affect him. "What are you doing?! You have a girlfriend!"

"Silly Lucy." She stopped hitting him and looked up. "I'm happier when I'm with you, and you're way prettier than she is. I wasn't deceiving you Luce, I like you a lot."

Lucy felt herself heat up, but let him continue.

"That woman that you saw was my childhood friend, Lisanna." Lucy felt her heart clench at the word 'childhood'. "There's no need to worry though Luce, 'cause I only like her like a little sister. I'm pretty sure she likes me, but I don't care because I have someone else I like. No need to be jealous Luce, I'm single for now."

Natsu didn't have a girlfriend. Lucy repeated those words inside her head, over and over again. So that meant that the whole thing was a misunderstanding, and she had been acting like a jealous wife for no reason.

"Umm... so who do you like?" Lucy asked curiously, while Natsu (for some reason) looked nervous.

"F-Figure that out-t yourself." She pouted and held out her hand.

"Friends?" A flash of sadness appeared in Natsu's eyes but vanished the next second.

"Friends."

"So, do you want to come over my house today?"

"Sure, lead the way." The two walked away happily unaware that they had forgotten something, or more like someone.
