30 October, 1977

Well tomorrow is the big day. Lily and James are going on their first date. Lily has been demanding our help in picking out her clothes for tomorrow, then disagreeing with everything we say. I really hope I wasn't that bad before all of my first dates. Sirius and I are planning on going off on our won for a while. Though we don't know exactly when yet, I was right; this year is full o emotional drama. Let's just hope we all make it through.

Annicka Llewellyn

Annicka and Sirius were laughing as their whole group of friends converged on the High Street in Hogsmeade, James and Lily were the last ones to arrive. Everyone was delighted to see them holding hands. "It's freezing out here, even for October," Margo complained.

"Let's go to the Three Broomsticks and warm up," Peter suggested. They all agreed and started walking toward the pub when a scream rent the air. Annicka was off and running before the others had processed what was happening. Down the street a large group of Death Eaters, cloaked and masked, were torturing three young Hogwarts students.

The whole group took off after Annicka moments later. They arrived just as she tackled the front of the group. As they crashed to the ground, so did the students who were tortured. The moment Annicka hit the ground she rolled away and sprang to her feet drawing her wand at the same moment. "Mary, Margo, Peter get them back to the castle, now," Ann ordered as her friends arrived.

"What about you?" Mary asked as she, Margo and Peter ran to the fallen students.

"We'll cover you," Remus answered as the others lined up, creating a wall between he death Eaters and the wounded. The Death Eaters formed up facing the young Gryffindors. As Mary led off her group one of the Death Eaters stepped forward.

"Oh, don't go yet," he teased, "we're not done playing." He raised his wand casting a spell. Annicka quickly cast a shield charm, blocking the spell.

"Why don't you play with us?" she suggested. The Death Eater laughed, and Annicka attacked. Soon everyone was fighting in a flurry of spells. Everyone in the street ducked behind closed doors, no one came to help. Several Death Eaters fell, and Annicka was fighting two Death Eaters at once when Remus went down, stunned. She was distracted for a moment, and narrowly avoided being taken out by a spell.

"Enough!" a cold voice commanded. The Death Eaters facing them all fell back into formation. Several of their fallen comrades got to their feet, one didn't. Acting quickly Annicka cast a spell on him before turning to face the newcomer. After a quick glance at the Gryffindors he turned to his followers. "You have disobeyed my orders," the newcomer's voice was ice cold, and everyone in the area felt a chill at the sound. "Leave now, and take him with you," he ordered nodding to the unconscious Death Eater.

"Oh, I don't think he's going anywhere," Annicka commented dryly as several Death Eaters tried to pick up their fallen friend. "My Lord, we cannot move him."

"Go, now," Voldemort ordered. "What did you do?" he demanded to know, turning to face Annicka.

"We would let you guess, but I don't think you have the time," Sirius said moving closer to Annicka.

"Hello Tom," a deep kindly voice greeted the Dark Lord.

"Dumbledore," Voldemort hissed and dissapperated.

"Well, that went better than expected," Dumbledore said dryly. The teens all broke out into relieved smiles. "Well done all of you. Now Miss Llewellyn, perhaps you could tell me what spell you used on this unfortunate man?"

"It's just a simple sticking charm Professor. If they'd had more time the Death Eaters would have been able to take him away," Annicka explained with a weak smile. There was a ringing in her ears and her vision was slightly fuzzy. She didn't realize the others were speaking until Sirius reached out to stop her from falling over.

"Ann, are you alright?" Sirius and several others asked.

"I'm fine," she replied, "the world is just spinning a little."

"Mr. Black, take Ms. Llewellyn to the Hospital Wing, she's bleeding," Dumbledore ordered. Annicka collapsed as he spoke. Sirius picked her up and went back to the castle as fast as he could. "Get along the rest of you, I will keep guard over our friend here." James woke up Remus, and pulled him along explaining as they chased after Sirius.

Annicka opened her eyes to a dim light, the sun was setting and she didn't understand what was happening until Sirius exclaimed, "You're awake!"

"Sirius, why am I in the Hospital Wing?" she asked turning to face him and saw the row of beds.

"You were injured during the fight," Sirius replied, his tone was stiff, worried.

"It must have happened when Remus was stunned. I lost track of the two I was fighting for a moment," Annicka reasoned. She was quiet for a moment before asking, "Is everyone else okay?" her tone worried.

"We're fine," Remus assured her as their groups of friends all come into the Hospital Wing.

"Remus," she called to him with a smile. "How are the young ones?" she asked nodding to the three occupied beds across from her.

"They will be perfectly alright Ms Llewellyn," Madam Pomphrey announced joining the crowd around her bed, "thanks to you," she added gently before turning to the others. "Now out, all of you, she need her rest."

"5 more minutes," Lily pleaded.

"Out!" the nurse ordered. Sirius leaned in and kissed Annicka on the forehead, the others patted her on the arm or leg as they all left. Barely a minute later Professor Dumbledore entered the room. "Professor, please," the nurse begged.

"I promise to be quick Poppy, just a couple of questions," Dumbledore promised jovially. With an irritated sigh she left the Headmaster and Annicka alone. "How are you doing?" Dumbledore asked setting into the seat next to her bed.

"I'm quite well Professor, thank you," Annicka replied taking the opportunity to sit up. "I have a feeling there is something else you want to ask me," she stated scrutinizing Dumbledore.

"You are very perceptive Ms. Llewellyn," Dumbledore complimented her. "There is a war going on Ms. Llewellyn, one the wizarding community is ill prepared to fight. I have organized a somewhat secretive group to help fight in this war, I was wondering if you and your friends may be interested in joining –"

"Yes," Annicka answered before he had finished the question. "Professor, I can tell you with near absolute certainly that we are all in."

It has been five days since the fight in Hogsmeade and the attention has finally died down, well shifted, the three kids who were attacked were released today and the whole school is after them to know what happened. The really good news about all of this is tat Lily and James have already gone on another date. They seem solid. In fact last night they shared their fist kiss. Lily didn't say anything, but we could tell by the dazed look on her face. Mary and Margo wouldn't let it go until she had told us everything. Apparently James is a good kisser.

Annicka sighed with pleasure as Sirius trailed kisses down her neck to her collar bone. She was in heaven until she heard Professor McGonagall's disapproving tone. "Ms. Llewellyn, what is going on here?" Sirius stepped away like he'd been scolded and Annicka looked up and down the hall to where Alice and Frank, and James and Lily were also trapped in passionate embrace.

"Potions experiment," Annicka answered.

"I beg your pardon?" McGonagall asked taken back by the answer.

"Professor Slughorn gave us a little, extra credit project. We each made a different love potion and we are currently testing their efficacy," Annicka explained her tone supremely confident.

McGonagall glowered at Annicka and Sirius for a moment before sighing, "Not in the halls Ms Llewellyn," she finally stated.

"Understood professor," Annicka answered. They shared a nod and McGonagall walked away. "Alice!" she shouted.

Alice pulled away from Frank, "What?" she demanded grumpily.

"McGonagall," Ann said and moved down to Lily and James, "Guys!" she shouted at them.

"Not now," James grumbled before kissing Lily again.

"McGonagall caught us," she stated breaking the mood. James and Lily turned to face her, "No more snogging in the halls."

"I can't believe she bought that love potion story," Sirius sighed incredulous.

"Oh, she didn't," Annicka argued.

"Then why -?" he asked confused by how little trouble they got in.

"She gave me credit for creativity," Annicka answered smugly.

November is almost over and Christmas is on its way which means classes are getting harder. Defense Against the Dark Arts and Transfiguration are perhaps the worst, but they're also two of the most important ones if I'm going to make it into the Ministry. It's funny considering how much she didn't like me at first, but McGonagall has really been pushing me to make it. I've always really liked McGonagall, I'm just really glad she likes me too.

The Gryffindor 7th years were sitting around the fireplace, the single students mixed in with the couples. "I can't believe the Christmas Holiday is next week," Annicka sighed.

"Tell me about it," Lily groaned, "Petunia's fiancé is spending the holiday with us."

"Wait," Mary interjected, "she's actually marrying that behemoth?"

"Unfortunately," Lily replied.

"Why don't you spend the holiday with me?" James offered.

"That's sweet, but no," Lily replied kissing him on the cheek to soften the rejection. "Ann, are you staying here for the break?" she asked pulling attention away from James' disappointed expression.

"No, I promised the Lupins I would go back this year," Annicka replied casually.

"What do you mean go back?" Sirius asked, his tone sharp enough fro Annicka to realize her mistake.

Annicka sat up from her semi-reclining position to look him in the eye, "Yeah – I've been living in the Lupin's guest house since the end of 5th year," she confessed.

"Why didn't you tell us?" Alice demanded to know.

"I didn't want to cause a fuss," Annicka explained, "between the teasing and the rumors I never would have lived it down."

"So, you've been living with Moony for the past two years?" Sirius asked his tone jealous.

"In the guest house," she sighed. Annicka paused for a moment before turning back to Lily. "Lils why don't you stay in the guest house with me?" Annicka suggested. "There are two bedrooms and Amanda always says I can invite whoever I want. Then Christmas day we can spend time with Sirius and James at the Potters."

"I'll write to my parents in the morning," Lily agreed with a grin.

"Well, that was all taken care of with very little fuss," James commented dryly.

"My girl is clever that way," Sirius gloated, his tone still a little tense. Annicka and Lily rolled their eyes and changed the subject.

25 December, 1977

Today was wonderful! Lily left early this morning to exchange presents with her family while I did the same with the Lupins. After lunch we went over to the Potters to spend time with our boyfriends. Stephen and Amelia Potter were so happy to see their "boys" happy. Ever since Sirius moved in with them they've seen him as a second son. I'm so happy he has people who care for him as his parents should have. I love the Lupins and the Potters so much for opening their homes and hearts to us. Mum, dad, I love you, Happy Christmas.

Back at school, and classes start tomorrow. I know it sounds paranoid, but Remus has been very quiet since Christmas morning and the way he's been looking at Sirius has me worried. It's like he's angry with Sirius but he acts perfectly normal around the whole group. I don't know what's going on with him. Sirius has been acting a little odd too, he seems nervous all the time, like he wants to tell me something but he's scared to, or he doesn't know how. Why do boys have to be so secretive and complicated?
