I just had to write this, because it's been in my head, and I wanted to write another fluffy one shot before I forget it, because I think it's adorable. I also wanted to write something for for Christmas, because she's wonderful and deserves everything.
*Also, I'm still writing my last chapter for NCSG. It's not making much progress, because I've been away from my laptop for days at a time, but it's getting there. I'm planning on it being really long, just because I like ending on an even numbered chapter, so excuse my OCD, but it should be up before the year ends, and if not by then, then I don't know when. It'll be up when I put it up.
"Blaine?" Kurt heard the front door open and close, and he knows his dad is gone in DC for the weekend with Carole, and Finn said that he's going to Rachel's.
"Yeah, it's me," he replied, sounding a little defeated.
Kurt headed downstairs to see why his boyfriend decided to come over at eleven o'clock at night? He didn't think looking through Pinterest wasted away three hours of his time, but it apparently had. As he started to approach the bottom of the stairs, he heard the ruffling of plastic bags.
"Now, really? Did you seriously go buy stuff to bring here? You might as well move in, Blaine."
"No, actually. I bought some stuff for a date night, since you know, no one is here, and won't be here for the weekend," Blaine stated, gesturing at the rest of the house.
"A date night? Blaine, it's nearly midnight."
"I wanted to surprise you," he says with a grin. "I also brought movies. Some that I like, like Tangled and other Disney movies, and of course Moulin Rouge. I need a movie that I can end up falling asleep to-"
Kurt playfully hit his shoulder, while Blaine was giggling. "Says the guy who falls asleep during every movie." They're both just smiling at each other now, silence filling the room, but it's not an awkward silence, they just don't know what to say.
"So, might I ask what you brought, exactly?" Kurt finally speaks up.
"Oh, just some candy, and popcorn, and some brownie mix and chocolate frosting. I was hoping you'd want to make brownies with me, because I thought that'd be cute, and I've always secretly wanted to do that with you, and-" Kurt needed to shut him up, and the only way he knew how was to kiss him. Their lips only touched for a couple seconds, but it felt like so much longer.
"I appreciate that, Blaine. Really, I do. Of course we can make brownies and eat junk food, but for right now, I'm really tired, and would love to just snuggle up with you, if you don't mind." It doesn't matter how long they've been dating, Kurt always feels his cheeks getting red whenever he voices what he really wants to do. He doesn't know why, but he always gets embarrassed.
"Okay, baby. We can do that." Blaine grabs his bag, and heads upstairs, while Kurt drags on along behind him.
Suddenly Kurt feels a wave of sleep coming over him, and he yawns entering his room, observing that Blaine is already changed and ready for bed. He figures he can just skip his nighttime skin care ritual, since he's already considering passing out on the carpet. Blaine helps him get into some sweatpants and a clean t-shirt, before hoping in bed himself.
When Kurt lies down, he automatically lays on his side, so Blaine can press his chest against his back. Blaine's mouth is right against Kurt's neck, so he presses light kisses there, sending shivers down the taller boy's spine. A low whimper came from the back of Kurt's throat. He missed being so close to Blaine like this. Just laying in bed together can make him feel better. Blaine stopped kissing him to pull the sheets up more towards their faces.
"Goodnight, Kurt. I love you so much," he whispers against Kurt's skin.
"I'm so happy you came over. This was a much needed surprise," Kurt replied with a yawn.
"I'm happy to help, babe. Now sleep, we have a big day ahead of us tomorrow."
