Chapter 2 – August 14
August 14, 12- Morning
I woke up in bed, hearing the sound of my clock, ticking away. What time is it now? What is the date? I picked up my Handphone and checked. The colourful display showed it was August 14, 12 in the morning. I recalled the sound of an awfully annoying cricket.
August 14, Later
I headed to the park, I really had nothing else to do. A lone black-haired girl sat on the swing. "Its really odd, you know. In a dream last night, I dreamt about the two of us in the exact same park." Suddenly I remembered what happened in the dream—the truck, and the colour of red. "Hey… Why don't you go home now." I grabbed her hand I dragged her toward the road crossing. "Hahh…?" (That's the girl, btw.) Maybe I'll be able to avoid that, I thought. But the moment we stepped off the pathway, people around us looked up towards the sky with surprised expressions. Because from that very blue sky, dropped an iron pole, which pierced your body right through.
The windchimes in the park danced it the air and played their soft melody as her scream pierced the air. In this un-natural scene, the shimmering heat told me, " This is real!" As my vision faded away, I glanced at the black-haired girl on the floor. Was she…smiling?
