Yodel! Apologies for the late update, I've been sooo busy with work lately and haven't had much time to work on it. I've also been quite nervous about this chapter and what I was going to do with it - and I wanted it to be right, so I took my time with it. I'm hoping it's paid off! Thanks for the reviews in the meantime, I have a lot of love for you all :)

Meredith Grey was exhausted. Her shift had been gruelling, her interns had gotten on her nerves, she had barely seen any of her friends, and Derek still wasn't talking to her. Which, not only upset her and distracted her from her work for most of the day, but it also meant she stood a very good chance of losing the Chief's competition. If she was to get ahead in neuro, develop the most and beat the others – it was quite important that she had an attending.

Scuffing her converse along the floor, she stopped in the corridor and rested her back against the wall, tipping her head back and taking six, large gulps from her water bottle in an attempt to freshen herself up. When she lowered it again, she jumped and a hand shot to her mouth to keep from spluttering everywhere. April Kepner was stood directly in front of her.

"Holy crap April! You scared me."

"Oh sorry Dr Grey! I was just checking up on my lovely fellow residents!" April chirped.

"Do you have to do it so unexpectedly?" Meredith muttered as she wiped her mouth and replaced the bottle lid.

"I do. Time waits for no man! Or woman of course!" Her overly bright and chatty persona annoyed Meredith to no end, especially recently.

"Oh, what's this? Two losers I spy in the corridor doing.. Doing nothing?" Cristina's sing song voice broke her train of thought as she literally skipped along towards them. "Oh hey there Kepner!" She came to a stop and gave April a hearty pat on the back. Meredith stared.

"Are you okay?" She asked incredulously, and Cristina positively beamed.

"I'm glad you asked Mer, I'm glad you asked. See, while you two have been traipsing around this lonely hospital floor, I've been in surgery, repairing my very own cardiac tamponade. Without Teddy!" Realising she still had her hand on April's back, she promptly removed it. Remembering herself.

"Without your attending?! Is that even allowed?" Kepner squawked.

Cristina shrugged. "Well it was cool with Teddy so it must be." She thought for a moment. "But then again, she knows I'm brilliant so it doesn't matter either way." The casual afterthought made Meredith smile.

Temporarily forgetting April was with them, she turned to her best friend. "Know why I haven't done any surgeries today? Because McDreamy is still being McSilent. It's like trying to get blood out of a stone."

Cristina nodded sincerely. "You know what will solve this instantly?" Meredith frowned.

"Dancing it out?"

Cristina looked happy at the thought. "Well yeah obviously, but something's gotta come before that?"

"Talking about it with ice cream and a rom-com?" April suggested, earning long looks from both of them. Cristina shook her head sadly. "No Kepner, no."

She turned back to Meredith. "Tequila!"

Meredith cringed. "I don't think that's a good idea tonight.. I'm tired and Derek might be there.. I-"

"-Shut up." Cristina silenced her. "We're going to Joe's."

"Cristina.."

"No arguments! Come on, you need to. And I know you, you'll just sit at home moping over McDreamy and then eventually come out to drown your sorrows anyway. And, speaking as your friend, I say it's better for all of us if you start the sorrow process early."

Meredith raised her eyebrows, a smile playing on her lips.

"You just want to celebrate your rock star attending-less surgery today."

Cristina smirked. "Well since you mention it, we'll drink to that too."

"Alright, we'll go to Joe's." She chuckled, in a slightly better mood.

April made a mental note for Hahn.

*THUMP THUMP THUMP!*

"Ow!" Addison winced as the noise caused her to poke herself in the eye with her mascara. It immediately streamed water, smudging the rest of her eye. She huffed in annoyance and began wiping the whole thing off.

"Come on Montgomery!" The voice alerted Addison to the fact it was Callie who had banged on the door.

"I'm almost done! You can come in you know!"

She heard the lock click as Callie let herself in and stood impatiently by the door, watching Addison hover over her portable mirror. She folded her arms.

"We're late, I told Erica we'd meet her at the hospital ten minutes ago!" She whined.

"Relax, Teddy's hardly a stickler for time either – you'll get there."

"Our cab driver is getting way too impatient.. I genuinely think he might leave. You'd better have a seriously good tip ready for him... he's scaring me."

Addison laughed. "Another two minutes wont hurt... There!" She stood back and assessed her face in the mirror, tilting it around to check all angles.

"Finally! Now let's go – you look fine– let's go, come on! Derek's probably waiting for you now too!"

"Christ would you keep your ass on? I'm coming!" She said, grabbing her purse as she gave Callie a friendly push out the door, locking it behind her. She followed the speedy brunette down the flights of steps from their block of apartments, out the door, straight into the face of their taxi driver, who was yelling at her through the car door in a stream of profanities, gesturing angrily from his watch to the road.

"Told you he was pissed." Callie muttered, and Addison giggled.

They guiltily entered the taxi, throwing the aggravated man innocent smiles. Addison reached into her purse and leaned forward, placing several dollar bills on the passenger seat.

"Simmer down." She quipped sarcastically, and, upon seeing the money, the man's rant immediately ceased. Callie snorted behind her and she sat back, applying her seatbelt with a satisfied grin.

Erica paced back and forth in the waiting rooms of the hospital, checking her watch every thirty seconds. Teddy and Arizona sat and watched her, amusement dancing on their faces.

"She's late. She knows I hate it when she's late!" Erica muttered to herself as she paced.

"I bet you twenty bucks it's because of Addison." Teddy said.

Erica rolled her eyes. "Well she should make faster friends."

"Calm down, it's not like she'd go without you. Besides, Ellie will be here soon anyway."

She felt Arizona shift beside her.

"Oh good!" Erica snapped. "That's why I'm getting so worried, I just need the nurse here to hold my hand. Thank you Theodora." Teddy bristled at the deliberate use of her name, and Arizona placed a calming hand on her leg, warning her not to start a fight. She let it slide.

"Hey." Derek Shepherd approached them all, a friendly smile on his face. He took a seat next to Teddy. "Any of you seen Addison?"

"No. We haven't. We haven't seen Addison for twenty damn minutes." Erica resumed pacing.

Derek nudged Teddy. "I suggest you get her the first drink."

She tittered, before catching sight of something red in the corner of her eye. "Ah here they are!" she greeted Addison and Callie as they arrived. Callie made a beeline for Erica, an apologetic look on her face, whilst Addison smiled at the room in general, before striding over to Derek, giving him a quick peck on the cheek, but she didn't sit down.

"Hey, ready to go?" He stood and straightened his tie, nodding.

Teddy looked up.

"Oh hey there Ellie!" She smiled warmly as both Arizona and Addison looked round in panic. As soon as Arizona took in the woman walking towards her, she had to fight hard not to stare at such an unexpected vision. This woman was gorgeous. Sauntering over, she must have been around 5 ft 8. She was slender and toned, with tight clothes that fitted her slim body perfectly. Her skin was a beautiful porcelain, with bright sparkling green eyes enhanced by perfectly applied eye liner and surrounded by a gentle touch of grey eye shadow. Thick waves of chocolate brown hair cascaded down her head, coming to a stop just below her shoulder blades. As she came closer she smiled, revealing a sexy set of pearly white teeth, and her cheeks housed two little dimples – not as prominent as Arizona's, but just as cute.

Jesus Christ Teddy, You've really gone and done it with this one.

Arizona thought to herself as her eyes wandered over the brunettes ample assets. She winced as Teddy's bony elbow struck her side. She realised she was staring. Stepping forward, she cleared her throat and stuck out a hand.

"Hi there, Arizona. Nice to meet you."

"Ellie." She replied huskily. "Teddy's told me a lot about you."

Holy crap, even her voice is sexy!

Teddy watched the two greet, feeling like a proud mother at graduation. Derek was smiling behind her, thinking of his best friend. If Mark were here, he'd probably be jumping in delight. Then again, if this woman was bisexual, Derek questioned whether Mark had already "been acquainted" with her before. Judging by her stunning looks and, if he was honest, pretty damn amazing body – he suspected it was highly possible. He did not notice his wife's entire body had gone rigid.

Addison felt her stomach drop as she watched this intruder approach. It was as if the woman had walked right off a magazine cover, and Addison immediately felt threatened, knowing this woman was something else. Something she simply couldn't compete with. She suddenly felt extremely inadequate as she watched Arizona stand to greet the girl, but it was the blonde's reaction that affected her the most. Arizona was practically drooling, blatantly staring as she approached the stranger. A surge of vivid fantasies suddenly popped into Addison's head at once. Arizona and the nurse holding hands, Arizona and the nurse cuddled up together, Arizona and the nurse in bed, deeply intimate, kissing passionately, wantonly, clothes slowly being removed, the woman's hands all over the blonde, touching her, caressing her, making her feel things she's never felt before, feelings Addison would never be able to even compare to, nights of passion bringing together a deep and unbinding relationship, Arizona falling for her, romancing her, proposing. Addison standing there at her wedding day, watching as the nurse placed a glittering ring on her finger, claimed her for her own, Arizona spending the rest of her life with her, devoted to her, completely and utterly in love with her, a blissful honeymoon with -

Stop it. Stop it now.

Cutting through the nightmare story before it killed her, Addison returned to reality, and her insides tore as she saw Arizona was still undressing this woman with her eyes, and it was definitely being reciprocated.

As if sensing her overwhelming flood of emotions, Callie appeared by her side, and Addison felt her take her hand. She squeezed it, squeezed it hard. Relieving some of the pressure that threatened to engulf her. The brunette simply squeezed back gently. Callie was her rock at the best of times, and right now, she adored her more than ever.

Finally, she found her voice and turned to Derek. "Shall we go then?"

He agreed and they made their way to the door.

"Oh hey wait up! We're all here now, we might as well walk together!" Teddy called out to the duo, and to Addison's dismay Derek turned back, politely waiting.

"Oh crap!" Callie exclaimed. Six pairs of eyes landed on her. "I err.. I forgot my.. my thing with.. I.. I need the toilet!" She proclaimed, turning slightly pink.

"No problem Torres, we'll wait." Derek replied casually, and Callie's brain whirled to find an excuse.

"Oh no it's okay, you guys go cos I'll be a while. I have to use the top floor cos.. That's my... That's my favourite toilet..." She mumbled. Mentally slapping herself in the head.

There was a beat of silence. Someone coughed.

"Righttt.. Okay well we'll erm.. We'll see you there then?" Derek replied slowly, confused. Addison hoped her eyes would show her undying appreciation as she mouthed a silent thanks to her best friend, who was currently beetroot. They left quietly and made their way to Joe's. Each of them wanting to talk but neither knowing what to say.

By the time the others arrived at Joe's, Addison had formed a plan. Get as drunk as possible, forget about Arizona, have sex with Derek, rekindle relationship. It wasn't very well thought through, but it was a plan. So far, it was failing drastically, as her and Derek didn't seem to be able to hold a decent conversation that wasn't about surgery, any other topics and they sailed dangerously close to starting an argument. Thus, they remained civil and polite, and pretended they weren't bored and uncomfortable with each other.

Callie had also formed a plan of her own – sit Arizona as far away from Addison and Derek as possible, sabotage her date and get Ellie out the picture, ensure Arizona was sober enough by the end of the night so she could be there for Addison when her and Derek's night inevitably ended in tatters, sit back and watch them realise they should be together, and, with the night having ended on a high for everyone, reward herself later via victory sex with Erica.

Teddy however, had a very different plan for the night ahead. Get Arizona as drunk as possible, ensure her date proved successful, ensure she stayed away from Addison all night - until she was bound to forget about her, sit back and watch Arizona and Ellie realise what a hot couple they made, and end the night on a high via victory sex with Henry. She was positive it would all follow as predicted, pleased to see Arizona was already guzzling her second vodka and coke, and they'd been there less than ten minutes.

"Hey Arizona, remember that heart transplant I was telling you about the other week? Well I forgot to mention that it wouldn't have been possible without this awesome girl's help." She tipped her glass at Ellie. "Tell her the story El!"

Ellie leaned in to talk to the blonde, who listened politely, her mouth never leaving the straw until the drink was gone.

"Oh look at that!" Callie exclaimed. "Arizona's finished, we should go get another round – up you get!" She gestured to Arizona.

"Can't go to the bar by yourself Cal?" Teddy mocked.

"I need someone to help me carry drinks!"

"I'm sure Erica won't mind." Teddy smiled at her sweetly. Erica pulled the straw out of her drink and flicked it at her, she screwed up her face as droplets flew at it. Nonetheless, Erica got up, and Callie silently cursed to herself as they strolled to the bar.

"So Ellie." Teddy turned back to the pair. "Did Arizona tell you she comes from a military background?"

Ellie's eyes widened with interest. "No way! My Mom's in the navy!"

"Oh really? My father is uh.. He's a marine." She realised she still had the straw in her mouth, with no drink to use it for.

"He's not just a marine! He's the freaking colonel!" Teddy pushed, Arizona shot her a look, with an expression she couldn't quite work out.

But she was in luck, as it just so happened Ellie found this fascinating. And proceeded to fire question after question at the blonde, until Callie and Erica returned with a tray of drinks, which Callie placed down in the centre of the table.

"Here you go ladies!" She sang, and was slightly dismayed to see that the two had moved closer, their legs almost touching. She had to put this woman off.

"So, did Arizona tell you about her womaniser ways?" She laughed in an attempt to cover up her obvious spanner in the wrench, but yet again she failed, as Ellie remained unphased.
"Oh really? You were a bit of a babe magnet huh?" she cocked her head slightly, a small smile tugging at the corner of her mouth.

"A bit! A bit?" Callie scoffed. "She was a tota - oww!" Her shin erupted in pain as Teddy kicked her under the table. She glared at her.

'What are you doing?!' Teddy mouthed at her, but she feigned ignorance.

Ellie had still not taken her eyes off Arizona, who shifted uncomfortably.

"I was.. I err.. haha." she giggled nervously. "I used to be yeah, before.."

Before I met Addison

"Before I grew up.. I guess you could say I wasn't the most romantic of the bunch, which is bad I know." She shrugged as she finished her fourth drink. Her head was beginning to feel slightly hazy and she could feel herself starting to relax.

"It is bad.. But it's also hot." Ellie said, letting her eyes travel over Arizona's body, and her voice turned huskier. "It's very hot."

Arizona gulped under the gaze of those vibrant green eyes, they were noticeably a shade darker as Ellie spoke, and she knew the alcohol was lowering her guard, but this woman was seductive, there was no question about it. And she'd be lying to herself if it didn't turn her on. She felt a small tingle of anticipation as Ellie's fingers brushed against her knee as she leaned further forward still, and her full, inviting lips were getting nearer and nearer. Arizona wanted to move away, but her quickening pulse and drink-induced brain told her otherwise. She strawed a fresh drink Callie had pushed at her, and returned to sipping it. Holding it near her face as some sort of subconscious guard, more to stop herself than to stop the brunette.

Across the bar, Addison felt her heart sink as she watched the space between the two grow smaller and smaller. She'd tried not to look, she really had. She'd honestly tried her hardest to give Derek and his brain-talk her full attention. But she'd found herself making excuses to look over. She was just checking Callie was okay. She was just stretching her neck. She was just seeing what they were having to drink. She was just admiring that painting above Arizona's head. Eventually she gave up lying to herself and just started looking anyway, feeling her gut react every time. She felt a surge of fury as she realised that the brunette's hand was on her Arizona's leg now. She was touching her Arizona, invading her-

wait - MY Arizona? Since when have you referred to her as 'yours' Addie?

She squeezed her eyes shut to clear her head, and, forcing down any blonde related feelings, she pulled her face into a smile and look back up at Derek, but he had turned pale and was looking past her. She frowned and turned around to see what was wrong.

Oh.

Cristina Yang had just arrived at the bar, and was passing a shot to an already very drunk, giggling mess that was none other than Meredith Grey.

No way. No. Fucking. Way.

She couldn't believe it. If there was a God, he clearly hated her. She pondered what to do. Should she leave? No, she couldn't even if she wanted to. She needed to see the end of Arizona's date. Should she tell Derek to leave? No, then she would have to sit with the others, and with Arizona. Tell Meredith? Nope, she'd look like a total bitch. Sit calmly and pretend everything is fine? Bingo. She turned back to Derek, who had a strained smile on his face. Evidentally he'd decided to do the same.

On the other side of the room, Meredith grabbed Cristina's elbow, causing her drink to spill over her arm.

"Hey watch it Mer! I just wasted my shot!" She whined, shaking the liquid of her hand and wringing her sleeve.

"Derek!"

Cristina looked at her. "Okay Mer, Asian woman. White man. You've had way too many to get the two confused."

"No! Derek! He's over there.." She gasped dramatically. "With her!"

"Ahh fuck them, lets drink!" Cristina offered as a solution. Meredith obliged, but kept her eyes on the pair the whole time, being a tad more obvious than others in the room.

Derek was at a loss of what to do. He could feel Meredith's eyes on him, but he was also very aware of the presence of not only his wife sat in front of him, but the vast amount of hospital staff in the building too. He could not let them see him giving any indication towards Meredith tonight, or the rumours would hit the roof. And besides, he was supposed to be here with his wife. That was how it was supposed to be. He needed to put Meredith out of his mind. And he was also mad at her still from their previous argument in the canteen, where she'd admitted she was going on a date with another man. A god damn vet. He knew seeing him with Addison angered her, and he knew she took pride in angering him with this new guy.

Well, two can play at that game.

He grabbed Addison's hand and pulled her towards him, crashing his lips against hers.

"Mm- Derek what are you doing?!"

She pulled away in surprise, but he simply pulled her back.

"Come on Addison.. It's been so long."

Shocked at the sudden change of events, an old feeling of hope was brought to life again inside Addison. Was he coming back to her? Was he finally, finally beginning to feel for her again? Maybe it was the alcohol, or maybe it lust, Addison didn't have much time to process this before he was going for her lips again, and all she could mutter was a breathless "Thank you." Before giving in and reciprocating the invading, aggressive movement of his mouth against hers as they embraced in the centre of the room.

Erica spat out her drink as she caught sight of this, and after choking for twenty seconds whilst Callie patted her dutifully on the back, she stared in disbelief.

"Look!" She pointed. They all turned, equally astounded at the animalistic display of hungry passion that was being exhibited in front of them. "Christ, that's one way to prevent a divorce." Teddy said dryly, and stole a quick glance at her best friend.

Arizona felt like she'd been punched in the stomach. The sight made her feel sick. He was practically eating her for god's sake. Whatever hurt she felt was quickly taken by the vodka in her bloodstream and she acted entirely on impulse. Tearing her eyes away from the scene, she turned to Ellie and leant in to her ear, her left hand reaching down between the chair to rest on her lower back.

"Do you want to get out of here?" It was Arizona's turn to be husky, and she smirked as Ellie's breathing hitched. She took it as a yes. Standing swiftly, she pulled the brunette up and after her, ignoring Teddy's questioning eyes. She needed to forget about Addison, and she needed a release from the heartache. Tonight, she was going to find it in the only way she knew how. Teddy was right, she was a womaniser. She really couldn't care less any more, Addison had clearly made her choice, and she'd made it right in front of her. Ellie was insanely attractive, and Arizona was starting to think she might actually be fun to hang out with, and maybe, in time, something more. There was no time to consider that now though, as she had a need to fulfil, and a red head to forget.

"Derek!" The unexpected yell split the couple apart like an explosion as they both recognised the voice. Meredith Grey stood inches away from them, with a face like thunder and reeking of spirits.

"Mer.. Meredith." He slurred. Addison looked over to Meredith's previous spot, hoping Cristina may come over and rescue her, but she appeared to be distracted throwing slices of lemon across the room at Hahn, who hadn't seemed to notice as, in Cristina's inebriated state, none of them had hit or come even remotely close to her target.

Meredith began to rant at Derek, something about a vet or animals, Addison wasn't listening, a flash of blonde had caught her eye, and she realised in horror that Arizona and her date were leaving. Leaving together. Alone. She felt a rush of panic, and felt an overwhelming desire to chase after them, to stop it from happening, but she couldn't. She knew she couldn't, and it wasn't fair. She couldn't give Arizona what she wanted, and she knew it. It was better for her to be happy. She fought every inch of her selfish impulses that were screaming at her to go after them, and with incredible difficulty, turned her attentions back to her husband and Meredith's argument.

As soon as Ellie's key was in the lock, and the door clicked open Arizona was on her. She kissed her hurridly, throwing her against the wall with a force that reflected the earlier hunger of Addison and Derek's raw desire, and she wasted no time in getting straight to it. Ellie responded in kind, reversing until she felt the back of her knees hit her coffee table and she fell onto it, pulling Arizona on top of her, groaning with desire as the blonde moved her hand straight to where it was needed, and their pace quickened faster still. It was rough, it was tenderless, and it was driven by lust, pure, undiluted lust. Fast, hard, with minimal clothing removed, it was over in a matter of minutes for Ellie.

She lay, panting and revelling in the after buzz, coming back down to earth from possibly the most intensely mind blowing orgasm of her life. She grinned breathlessly up at the blonde, who had moved back and was frowning at the floor.

"Wh.. What?" She slurred, still out of breath.

Arizona's frown deepened. "I... I shouldn't have done that."

Ellie got up quickly at her words, confusion laced her face.

"It's okay, I'm glad." She smirked. "Now it's your turn." She took a step towards her, but Arizona put up her hands.

"No no, I really really shouldn't have done that. It's not fair." With her thoughts-to-speech function still slightly corrupted by vodka, she assumed Ellie would know what she was talking about. She didn't.

"Honestly, I don't care – if you're worried about being classy and all, forget it. I wanted this just as much as you did. Besides, it was worth it." She bit her lip suggestively.

"I'm drunk. I can't be reasonable right now." Arizona suddenly announced. "I'll.. We'll talk tomorrow...Thanks.." She offered lamely, and Ellie, too proud to feel rejected, took it as an invitation for a second date.

"Oh I'm sure we will – I'd like that." She winked, and Arizona gave her a small smile as guilt began to seep through her intoxicated thought process. She was sobering up, fast.

"I should go. Teddy will be worried."

Ellie smiled. Theodora Altman was in need of a huge thanks tomorrow. With that in mind, she politely stepped forward to see the blonde out, and watched for a while as she guiltily made her way out, heading in the direction of the bar which, luckily for Ellie, was only a few minutes walk away. Sighing contentedly, she ran a hand through her brown locks and sauntered over to her room, feeling incredibly smug, knowing she'd got this one in the bag.

"Do you think we should go over?" Teddy asked Callie and Erica as they sat and watched the squabble at the end of the bar. Meredith was still laying into Derek, and all he seemed to be doing was shrugging and holding his hands up apologetically, whilst Addison could only look on.

"No.. Best not to get involved.. Addie will leave if it gets too uncomfortable." Erica decided, and Callie chewed her lip nervously. Eventually, Meredith appeared to cease fire, and Derek was nodding. He put a hand on her shoulder, and rotated his neck so he could still speak to Addison. They exchanged a few words, both their expressions unreadable, before she nodded, and he left, guiding Meredith along by her shoulder so she didn't fall over in the process.

Addison remained seated at the bar, and Callie saw her raise a hand at Joe, no doubt requesting another beverage.

"Guys, I'm gunna go talk to her." She gave Erica's hand a quick squeeze before she left, and made her way over, dodging the flying mass of limbs that was Cristina Yang, dancing for her life without a care in the world. Callie knew this dance well, knew what it meant, and made a mental note to ask Cristina about her troubles later. For now, Addison took priority.

"Hey." She put a soft hand on the red heads back, expecting tears, but Addison's face was surprisingly calm – she just looked tired.

"Hey. Want a drink?" Addison smiled, and Callie searched her face for any tell-tale signs of how she was feeling. So far, nothing.

"Sure. Are you okay?"

Addison exhaled loudly. "I'm fine, Derek's walking Meredith home. She's.. Not in a good state." She raised her eyebrows in implication, and glanced casually over her shoulder.

"Arizona not back yet?"

Callie sighed. "Addie.."

"No no I was just asking! I just wanted to know how it went."

Callie puffed out her cheeks. "Well, they err.. They got on well.. Umm.. Yeah they've gone back to Ellie's place." She subconsciously dipped her head as she said it, almost like a guilty school child hiding from the teacher.

Addison blinked once.

"Oh right.. Awesome! Good for her."

"Addie, you don't have to pretend with me. It's me. And besides, feelings don't just go away like that." She clicked her fingers.

Addison sighed. "But I'm trying the 'friendship' thing.. Whatever that means."

Callie nodded slowly. "That's what we thought would be best yeah.. But it obviously isn't working. You need to figure out what you want. And soon."

Addison pouted down at her drink as she mused this over, her fingers playing with the hem of Callie's jacket. She was incredibly lucky to have such an amazing friend, Calliope Torres didn't know just how much she valued her in her life.

They sat in silence for a while, comfortable just being with each other and their thoughts.

"Crap."

Addison heard Callie gasp slightly, and looked round. She felt that all too familiar stomach clench as Arizona re-entered the building, with an incredibly odd look on her face. She drifted over to Erica and Teddy, and said something in Teddy's ear, Teddy looked at Addison and quickly away again as she realised Addison had seen her, and Callie shifted round to get a better look. Teddy was looking back up at Arizona, who's head was bobbing as she spoke, and a frown gradually began to appear on her brow as Arizona continued to talk. Eventually, Teddy nodded, and Addison saw her mouth form the word 'Okay' before Arizona straightened up and left, heading for the toilets.

Addison's emotions began to get the better of her. She could sense something was wrong, and a sudden, very powerful need to protect Arizona emerged within her, and her tequila assaulted brain was demanding she go and talk to her. The two were arguing against her rationality, which was losing badly the more she sipped her drink.

"I'm gunna go see why she's back without her." Callie muttered, and hopped off the bar stool.

Now was Addison's chance.

But what would she say when she went in there? Would she even want to hear about it? And what about Derek? Going after Arizona would only result in trouble, she'd had to many drinks and was in danger of doing something rash, something stupid. She needed to stick with her husband, and -

Oh fuck it.

The tequila won, and her heart silenced her head as she made a beeline for the toilets.

Arizona washed her hands, and took a good, long look at herself in the mirror. What was she doing?! Sleeping with randomers again? That was the old her – the player, the persona she'd moved on from. So why was she suddenly back to square one?

You know why.

Arizona's eyes briefly fluttered closed as she rested her head against the bathroom mirror. Sick and tired of her inability to rid any thoughts of red. Ellie was hot, she was stunning even, and Arizona was definitely attracted to her, that she knew. But she only stimulated her in a sexual way. It was a physical attraction, and, try as she might, she knew it wouldn't be anything more. Because she wasn't Addison.

Arizona let out a low growl of frustration as she raised a hand, slapping her palm against the mirror in defeat. The door clicked open.

"Go away Teddy. Not now."

Silence.

Arizona looked up to chastise her best friend further, but any comment she had got stuck in her throat as she saw who was standing there. Addison had a hand on the door, and was looking at her intently.

"Derek's not in here." She snapped. Unsure of where this sudden anger came from.

Addison said nothing, and took a step towards her, letting the door swing back again. "Did you sleep with her?"

Arizona scoffed at the unexpectedly direct question. The new found anger still burning her, she decided to be blunt.

"Yes." She watched Addison's jaw tighten slightly. "What's it got to do with you?" She folded her arms defiantly. Again, Addison said nothing. Arizona felt increasingly like a child under interrogation from disappointed parents, and it fuelled her rage at the red head even further.

"Look." She snarled. "You do not just come in here and demand to know things with that disapproving look on your face. You have no say on who I can or cannot sleep with – you made that perfectly clear! Now get over yourself and go back to McDreamy." She uttered the name distastefully, angry at him, angry at herself, angry at Addison, angry at anyone. She turned away and gripped the sink with both hands, trying to calm herself down before she said something she'd regret. Thirty seconds passed, and Arizona realised Addison wasn't moving.

"Well go on then! Go!" She bellowed, standing back up again and jerking a finger aggressively at the door.

"I don't want you to sleep with her again." It was muttered so quietly Arizona wasn't even sure she heard right.

"Excuse me?"

Addison bit her lip.

"I don't want you to sleep with her again." She repeated. "I don't want you to date her."

Arizona's mouth hung open in chagrin, this woman was unbelievable!

"Are you kidding me?!" She gave a humourless burst of laughter. "So first, I'm not allowed to be near you when your freaking husband is with you – now I'm not even allowed to date anyone?! Are. You. Kidding me?!"

Addison advanced towards her, and Arizona put her hand out against her shoulder, stopping her.

"No. If you're gunna tell me some crap about your feelings again and make me feel your beating heart, I'm not interested. Back off." She gave her a little push, but Addison resisted it.

"I can't."

With that she pushed Arizona's hand aside and swooped in, finding her mouth. Arizona's entire body froze at the contact, and she was momentarily paralysed as Addison's lips touched her own in a soft, sweet kiss. She pulled away slowly, lifting her eyes to study Arizona's own.

"I can't." She whispered again before leaning in for a second time, this one more firm, decisive, confident. Arizona remembered how to move and responded tenderly, moving her mouth in time with Addison's. She tasted sweet. The red heads arms snaked around her neck as they moved with each other. Arizona wanted more. She peeked opened her mouth and gently ran her tongue along Addison's lips, asking permission. Addison obliged, and her whole body tingled vibrantly as their tongues made contact, moving slowly at first, exploring each other, but it wasn't long before the kiss deepened, became more passionate, more scrunched a handful of Arizona's hair and pulled her in further so they were completely pressed against each other. She wanted to feel the blonde against her. All of her. Arizona bit gently against Addison's bottom lip, and the red head let out an involuntary moan into her mouth that drove Arizona over the pushed herself off the wall, guiding Addison back until her hips were against the sink. Breaking their contact and immediately missing it, Arizona moved down to Addison's neck, planting hot, wet kisses on her collarbone, her jawline, and the hollow of her throat. Addison exhaled sharply and tilted her head back in response, breathing heavily as Arizona crouched down and lifted her by her thighs so she was propped up, sitting on the edge of the sink. Satisfied with her position, the blonde moved back up to Addison's mouth and wrapped her arms around her waist, pulling into her and moving her body so she was sandwiched between Addison's thighs, and their kisses grew faster, more urgent as they moved in perfect time with one another.

Arizona's body was on fire, she had never wanted anything, anyone as much as she did now, she felt electric, she felt alive, and she knew this was something special, something she'd been looking for all her life. No other girl had ever compared to what she was feeling right now. It was her. There was only Addison. Arizona felt another surge of arousal as Addison's hands caressed her neck, little moans escaping her mouth as she moved. She had never felt so turned on. She deepened the kiss further still, and their tongues battled for dominance, Arizona's right hand travelled down from Addison's back, and she brought it round to Addison's front, sliding it slowly down past the waistband of her pants.

"Mmm-" Addison broke the kiss and pulled away, removing Arizona's hand.

"We can't." She panted. "Not now.. Not here."

Arizona understood, although every inch of her being was screaming at her for the loss of contact. She leaned in again, but Addison placed a gentle finger on her lips, stopping her in her tracks.

"We can't do this yet. It's wrong, I need to do it first." She eased herself slowly off the sink, and it took all the strength in the world not to simply melt into the blondes arms again. Addison had never felt anything like it. Not with Derek, not with Mark, anyone. It was as if every emotion she was capable of harbouring had sprung to life at Arizona's touch, and she never knew such a high was possible. She knew she had to have it again. She needed to have it again. It felt so right. She straightened her blouse, catching her breath whilst Arizona gazed at her questioningly. She inhaled through her nose and looked up into bright blue eyes.

"I need to do it first. I'm finally going to do it." She nodded, her face sincere, her grey eyes determined.

Arizona ran her tongue against her bottom lip, she could still taste Addison's lip gloss.

"Do.. Do what? Going to do what?" She asked, fearing the answer.

Addison smiled. And it was the first time Arizona had ever seen her look so.. Happy. Her smile was genuine, carefree, she was radiant. She took a deep breath and held Arizona's gaze.

"I'm going to break up with Derek."
