Bonjour! Due to extreme boredom, loads of time on my hands and not nearly as much packing as I thought I had to do, I managed to get this chapter done before I go! The dinner scene came easy to me and was done pretty quick, the following scene... Not so much. :P Let me know what you think though, good or bad, let me have it – I'll admit I found it pretty tough to write, and it's rather evident that a future as an erotic novelist is not written in the stars for me. Damn. ;)

This chap is rated M as I previously mentioned for the sexual content, but I'll change it back for the next chapter. :) - (though it may go back to M later.. The stars may change ;))

Hope it's alright!

"So." Addison said immediately as they sat down, the warm glow of the restaurant and it's gentle choice of music in the background engulfed them, making the table feel like they were in their own private little world. "Starter?" She picked up the menu and began to scan it.

"You look beautiful." Arizona murmured, and Addison was extremely glad the menu was there to hide her flushed cheeks.

"Ha. I don't feel it." She muttered quietly, more to herself than to Arizona.

The blonde frowned.

"Why?"

"Excuse me - what would you like to drink tonight ladies?" The waiter interrupted, pen and paper pad at the ready.

"Err.. Bottle of the house red please." Addison replied. "Arizona?"

The blonde's expression was impassive as she answered. "Gin and tonic please."

The waiter nodded, and sped off.

Addison could feel her girlfriend's eyes on her, but continued to stare hypnotically at the menu. Neither said a word until the waiter returned. Presenting the wine, he allowed Addison to try it, she nodded appreciatively, and he placed both drinks down, before pulling out his pad again.

"Are we ready to order? Or would you like 5 minutes?"

"Give us ten." Arizona replied, before turning to smile sweetly at him. "I'm very picky."

He smiled back at her, before disappearing again, leaving them on their own once more. Addison poured herself a large glass.

"Addison?"

"Hmm?"

"...Are we okay?"

The red head frowned. "What?"

"You're hiding.. You won't look at me, and I was just.. I was just wondering if you – if we are okay." Addison could detect the worry in the blonde's voice, and looking up she saw her brow was knitted together in concern. She took a deep breath, and put the menu down, fully facing Arizona for the first time that evening.

"I'm nervous." She said, deciding to be honest before she chickened out, picking up her wine glass for something to do. Arizona's eyes did not leave her face.

"Why?"

Addison chugged four large gulps of the beverage before she answered.

"I just.. I feel really stupid for saying this.." another gulp of wine. "I'm just.. I'm worried I wont live up to your.. Your past girlfriends.. And Ellie." Draining the glass, she poured another large one.

Arizona let out a relieved laugh. Addison looked up in panic.

"That's what's got you so worked up? You're worried about.. About them?! Addison. You honestly think they even compare to you?"

The glass stopped on it's journey to her mouth. "I.. I don't know I.. I've never-"

"Listen, you are the most special, most wonderful, most important person in my life right now. You, Addison Montgomery, are amazing, and beautiful, and so, so right for me. I've never met anyone like you in my life, and I've never felt this way about anyone in my life. You're perfect."

For once, Addison realised she wasn't blushing as she looked into honest blue eyes, and just looking at the woman sat in front of her, that one in a million woman with her reassuring dimply smile, made Addison's heart swell. She had never been called perfect in her whole life.

But then the second worry prodded at her, and her fingers strummed her glass as she thought. Arizona waited patiently.

"What you just said.." She began, after yet another large swig. "Made me feel like the happiest person on earth right now. But... I screw things up."

Arizona's head tilted to the side, and she watched more wine disappear from the glass, waiting for her girlfriend to elaborate.

"I screw things up." Addison repeated. "It's what I do. When things go too well, I do something to ruin it. I don't know why, but I always do. And I'm scared for this. I don't want to screw what we have up, but I'm scared I will. To be honest with you Arizona, you are all those things you just said to me, and more. I never thought it was possible to feel this way, or care about someone so much it hurts. I thought I had it with Derek.. But that was nothing, nothing compared to this. This.. This is something else. You're the best thing to ever happen to me.. And I think... I think I'm falling for you, Arizona, I honestly do. It's the only way I can explain this.. And I'm terrified of ruining it. I'm terrified I'll lose you."

There. She'd said it, it was out, and now Arizona would know she was a loser, a failure, and that a majority of the ended relationship she'd had were her fault. Fully expecting her to run for the hills, she poured herself a third glass and began to down it, but stopped when she felt a hand on her arm.

"Addison." She lowered the glass. And was confused to see Arizona was smiling. Did she think it was a joke?

"Addison." She repeated softly, blue eyes meeting grey. "It's not possible for you to screw up with me. I wont let you. I'm not going anywhere, no matter how bad you think you are, I can promise you you're not. You're everything, and I'm sticking around for as long as you'll let me. And you can forget the other women. I don't even give them a second thought."

Addison smiled, warmed by the speech, but Arizona noticed she still looked a little uncertain of herself. Taking a deep breath, she reached over and gently took her girlfriend's hand.

"Do you remember that day in the elevator? When you bailed and I chased you?"

"I do." Addison nodded, still ashamed of her cowardly actions.

"And you remember showing me how you felt? Showing me your heart?"

Addison nodded, not taking her eyes off of the blonde as she leaned forward. Still holding the red heads hand in her own, Arizona brought it over to her chest, and laid it to her left, placing it over her own beating heart. There Addison felt it's rapid rythm under the black material, beating almost impossibly fast.

"See...You make me feel the same." Arizona said warmly, and Addison suddenly felt a well of emotion catch in her throat as Arizona carefully let her hand go. She still did not tear her gaze away as she slowly retracted it, her smile growing as she looked into big blue eyes. Blue eyes she knew then and there that she wanted to wake up to everyday, a blue that she wanted to see for the rest of her life.

They grinned at each other, and all previous tension had vanished. What took it's place was a new, deeper feeling. A connection of sorts that had just been born. Neither of them could describe it, but both could sense it, and neither wanted to let it go.

Eventually, Addison broke the peaceful silence.

"You know, looking at how calm you always are, I wouldn't have guessed that your heart was working overtime in there."

Arizona shrugged. "It doesn't happen often. Only with you."

"I would never have been able to tell."

"Well, I did take drama in 3rd grade."

Addison laughed out loud, feeling the mood lift. She realised she felt happy, really happy. Her nerves were slowly drifting away, and it wasn't just because of the wine. She sat back, content to simply look at her girlfriend, take in every inch of her gorgeous looks, her kind eyes, and her very best and most favourite feature – that smile, which was now right there in front of her, in megawatt form, dimples prominent as Arizona positively beamed at her.

Seeing this as a good time to interrupt, the curious waiter made his way over.

"Ready ladies?"He poised his pen at the ready, but neither women were looking at him. Addison could not force her eyes away, nor change her expression, it was as if her smile had been super glued to her face, it was impossible to do anything but look at the woman in front of her.

"I'll have this." She pointed to a random spot on the menu without looking at it, and saw Arizona's eyes twinkle back at her.

"Me too."

The waiter frowned, confused at the two women that seemed in some sort of trance in front of him, grinning like idiots.

"... The err.. The lamb tagine?"

"That would be perfect." Addison answered.

The waiter left, shaking his head, but neither woman noticed.

"Welcome to my humble abode." Arizona joked as she turned the key and her apartment door swung open. She kicked off her shoes as she strode in, and as Addison followed she was greeted by a very warm, very cosy environment that reminded her of a cottage. Everything about the place was so inviting that Addison couldn't help but smile.

"Coffee?" The blonde asked nonchalantly, flicking the switch on the little vintage looking kettle as Addison took off her shoes and placed them by the door.

"Sure, I'll help." Spotting the fridge, she made her way over, but stopped when the little decorations on it caught her eye. Bending over slightly to get a better look, she let out a loud chuckle when she realised what they were, mini surgical fridge magnets. Wondering where on earth one finds magnets as accurately correct and detailed as this – the thermometer even had tiny engraved measurements that Addison had to squint to read – she couldn't help but chuckle again. This was so typically Arizona, she found it adorable. As she was looking at them all, she felt familiar hands arms encircle her waist from behind.

"Appreciating my fridge magnets I see." Arizona's voice tickled her ear, and she let out an involuntary quiver of anticipation as the blonde planted a gentle kiss just behind her ear lobe. Addison's hand reached up and snaked behind her to tangle in in blonde locks as Arizona made her way slowly down her neck, every kiss sending sparks through her veins. Gradually, the kisses became harder, and she felt the occasional grazing of teeth over her pulse points. When she could stand it no more, she spun around and captured Arizona's lips hungrily, cupping her face in her hands. The kisses again started slow, but it was not nearly as long for them to speed up, they became urgent, rough and needing. Arizona's hands travelled over Addison's whole body, caressing bare skin on her shoulders, neck and arms. Addison's left hand moved down to Arizona's waist, pulling her in, and the blonde pressed against her body so eagerly in response that Addison was caught off balance. Smirking into the kiss, Arizona pushed her back until she collided with the kitchen counter, and the hand that flew out to stop herself sent a bag of opened coffee beans hurtling to the floor, they scattered everywhere.

"Oh!" Addison exclaimed in surprise, ready to mumble hasty apologies, but Arizona ignored it as her lips continued their assault on Addison's.

"Leave them." She said huskily, and the new tone in her voice sent a surge of arousal through the red head. Forgetting about the coffee beans, it was her turn to push Arizona back. She moaned out loud as Arizona's tongue plunged into her mouth, and the feeling between her legs was growing more and more urgent. Any nerves where banished completely as this new desire took it's place, and her hand snaked round to the back of Arizona's dress, finding her zipper.

"Bedroom?" She could be husky too, and Arizona pulled back suddenly, arms still wrapped around her, her blue eyes, although a noticeable shade darker, posed the question as she studied her face.

"You sure?"

Addison nodded. "I'm sure. I want this. I want you."

Before the blonde even had time to answer, she crashed her lips against her again, and her thumb and forefinger reclaimed the little metal zip and began to glide downwards. Feeling the motion, Arizona spun them round and pushed her back again, using her body to direct them to the bedroom so she never had to break the contact she so desperately craved. Addison's back crashed against the door and it flew open with a bang. Arizona felt the gasp in her mouth, and continued to press forward, until Addison's legs hit the foot of the bed and she fell backwards, bringing the blonde with her.

Arizona propped herself up on her elbows so she was hovering over Addison, and relished the moment. Staring down at her girlfriend's smiling face, she couldn't think of anywhere in the world she'd rather be.

Suddenly she felt material on her back fall to the sides, and was surprised to see Addison had successfully brought the zip to the bottom, and her hands were caressing the smooth skin it exposed. She grinned as Addison pulled the fabric forward, letting it fall down to Arizona's waist. With Arizona on top of her, breasts merely inches away from her face, Addison felt on fire. Every fibre of her being was screaming at her for more, she needed to feel Arizona, feel all of her, right now. With a sudden burst of energy she sat upright and flipped them over. Arizona opened her mouth to say something clever, but instead let out a gasp as Addison buried her face into her chest and began to roll her tongue over her cleavage.

She felt impatient hands tug at her hips, and realised the dress was still clinging to her lower half. Assisting her lover, she wriggled the material down her legs, and it was quickly pulled off and tossed aside.

Reaching up, she proceeded to remove Addison's own clothing, sliding the straps over her shoulders, finding it extremely difficult to concentrate with Addison raining kisses down over her chest and neck. Addison suddenly giggled, and the noise vibrated slightly against her skin.

"What?"

"I just remembered the belt."

Arizona frowned as Addison's hands moved in between their waists, and she wondered what she was doing until the accessory she'd forgotten about was pulled out from between them.

"That should make things easier." the red head said, grinning. Getting the hint, Arizona leaned up again, and instead, pulled the clothing up and straight over Addison's head. Both belt and dress now flung to the side, Addison moved up to straddle her waist, and Arizona took a moment to admire her perfect body.

Intense grey eyes stared down at her, and Arizona felt the connection again. Addison's hands trailed softly up her body, her thumb grazed against the blonde's bra. She cocked her head to the side as she regarded it, and Arizona immediately knew what she was thinking. Her chest heaved in excitement as the bra was unclipped and removed, and Addison bit her lip as she pulled it away, exposing pert round breasts, which were the most perfect things she'd ever seen. Her eyes darkened and she leaned down, taking a hardened nipple in her mouth. Arizona writhed, her back arched with pleasure as Addison continued to nibble and suck.

"Oh my god." She gasped as the red heads other hand reached up to massage her free breast. She let out a groan of satisfaction as her own fingers quickly got to work on removing Addison's bra, feeling the urgent need to return the favour. Remembering she was supposed to be in the drivers seat for this first time, Arizona rolled so they flipped back over, and it was Addison's turn to gasp as their hard nipples pressed together, Arizona lowered a hand to the waist line of Addison's underwear. Looking back up into her eyes, she waited silently. Addison nodded and grinned, pulling her girlfriend back down for a deep, passionate kiss. It was all the permission Arizona needed, and she slipped her hand down into dampened lingerie, closing her eyes at the feel and letting out a contented sigh at how wet she was.

Addison let out a loud gasp of pleasure as Arizona's index finger rubbed against her clit in small circles, and it wasn't long before the pressure started to grow.

"Arizona.." Addison moaned the name wantonly, and Arizona responded by deepened the kiss as she pushed two fingers in between slick folds, plunging them into Addison's burning hot centre.

The red head's cry of ecstasy filled Arizona's hungry mouth as she began a gentle rhythm, happily surprised at how responsive Addison's body was to her touch. Her hips bucked to meet the blonde's hand, and it wasn't long before she was writhing in pleasure beneath her as Arizona drew her closer and closer to the brink. Feeling her own excitement grow simply by watching the feelings she was bringing to the other woman, Arizona picked up the pace and curled her fingers, pressing her thumb against her clit, she smiled as Addison's body arched stiffly, she began to pant beneath her, and Arizona sensed she was there. Closing the gap between their lips once more, the blonde kissed her with a hungry passion as Addison let out a cry and came undone onto her and clamped powerfully around her fingers, her orgasm shattered her senses as white hot pleasure filled her body, and she clung to the blonde tightly as she rode it out, as Arizona slowed it down and let her come back to earth.

After several moments she managed to force her eyes open, and gentle blue orbs glistened back at her.

"That was amazing.. I've never.. You're amazing. I don't know what to say."

Arizona giggled at her excited babbling. "Then don't." She replied, pressing a finger to her lips.

"I wont." Addison said as she sat back up. "I'll show you instead." She made to lean in, but Arizona cupped her face, stopping her.

"Oh no you don't Miss Montgomery." She teased. "Tonight is all about you." With an unexpected strength, she surged forward so Addison found herself yet again on her back, and before she realised what was going on, a mess of blonde hair was on her chest, and her girlfriend was planting a trail of wet kisses down her body, heading south.

"Wait" She said suddenly, and Arizona paused and looked up curiously.

"I want you to feel what I feel." She stated simply, and Arizona thought for a moment, her eyes sparkling.

"Oh you do do you?" She joked, crawling back up the bed so they were face to face again.

Addison nodded, grinning. "I do."

"Well that's very generous of you." Arizona murmured huskily as she quickly discarded her last piece of remaining clothing, doing the same to Addison, her mouth practically watered at the sight as she positioned herself over the now completely naked red head, straddling her, she parted her incredible legs with her own, and lowered herself down, pressing their centres together. The contact was so close, and so intimate that Addison almost came again then and there, but as Arizona began to rock her hips against her she realised this was an entirely different level, a feeling of such pure, undiluted ecstasy, that she was sure she'd burst.

This time, they felt it together as they moved in a steady rhythm. Their pulses tightened and their breathing quickened. Their moans and shouts of pleasure echoing off each other as they climaxed simultaneously, their bodies shuddering together.

They remained that way for sometime after, until both had fully regained their bearings. Arizona let out a satisfied sigh and rolled off her lover, landing beside her and taking her hand as they stared at the ceiling.

Addison brushed her sweaty hair off her face.

"Wow." She breathed.

"Wow." Arizona agreed.

Addison rolled onto her side so she was facing the blonde.

"Thank you." She murmured, planting a soft, chaste kiss on her girlfriend's shoulder. "That was incredible."

"It was my pleasure. Trust me." Arizona replied, a happy grin plastered on her face. "Now come here." She reached out an arm and Addison shuffled into it, laying her head on her chest and draping an arm over her waist, she smiled contentedly as Arizona reached over, grabbed the covers and flung it over them, before settling back down and wrapping her free arm around her.

She closed her eyes, and within minutes fell into a dreamless, peaceful sleep, safe and more happy than she'd been in years. Wishing she could remain in the blonde's arms forever. Arizona kissed the top of her head, and also drifted off, burying her face into her lovers hair, her last thought before the world faded away was that red was definitely her new favourite colour.

"Good morning Stevens!" Addison exclaimed as she bounced over to the desk, where a depressed Izzie sat, typing away, bored out of her brain.

"No it isn't." She scowled at the screen.

"Jeez, who took the jam out of your donught?"

The scowl did not fade. "More like who took the intern out of the OR."

Addison made a sympathetic face. "Ah, I heard Bailey wasn't happy."

"I've still got a whole three days to go!" She whined, putting her head in her hands. "She's got me doing charts! Doing nurse jobs! I can't take it anymore.. Patient history after patient history... It's sould destroying."

Addison laughed. "You'll be free soon, don't you worry your little head!" She said, drumming the desk in an up beat tune as she spoke.

Izzie raised an eyebrow. "Why are you so happy this morning?"

"That, Stevens, is private." Addison replied, but couldn't help the coy grin that crept on her face as she recalled the previous nights events.

Izzie's eyebrow was soon accompanied by a knowing smirk. "Uh huh. Well at least someone round her is getting some."

"Getting what?" The grumpy receptionist tottered over, already wishing the day would end.

"Err.. Charts! – getting charts. Stevens is doing mine this week." Addison's quick recovery did nothing to hinder Izzie's gleeful expression, and she shook her head at her mockingly.

"Get out of my chair." The woman grunted, shuffling through the cabinet draw. "But you gotta sign it by the way, Bailey's orders. Apparantly the patient this one almost killed -" she jerked her head in Izzie's direction. - "Was a close friend of her's."

Izzie glumly took the charts and handed it to Addison, who's eyes darted across the page.

"Ahh, my triplet mother Jenny." She smiled as she scanned it. "All seems fine to me."

She scribbled a quick signature on the bottom and handed it back to Izzie.

"If I could, I'd have you in on the surgery.. But you know what would happen to me." She said lightly.

"You'd get your ass handed to you on a plate by the nazi." Izzie responded dryly.

"Oh, cheer up glum nuts, only three days." Addison patted her affectionately on the shoulder and left, whistling to herself. Izzie placed the file in the cabinet, stood up and stretched, grunting as her back clicked. Yawning, she set off in search of coffee, leaving the computer abandoned.

When she was sure they were both gone, and the receptionist had returned to her glazed staring into space, Ellie slipped out from her hiding place behind the next desk, grateful no one spotted her. Clicking the filing cabinet back open, she glanced over her shoulder to double check she wasn't being watched. When she was sure she had the all clear, she pulled the mother's file out and hurried to the copier, quickly scanning Addison's signature. Loading it up onto the computer previously occupied by Izzie, she set to work. A few clicks here, a copy and paste there, and a final keystroke and she was done. Pressing print, she drummed her fingers on the desk impatiently, feeling her skin prickle with sweat. Eyes darting around, she rushed to the printer and grabbed the new file. Slipping it as disceetly as possible back in with the rest of the patients information, she let out a huge sigh of relief. And her muscles relaxed. Sending thanks up above for her inattentive colleague who had not looked up once, she slipped away, keen to be as far away from both Izzie and Addison as possible for when they returned. With one last thing to do, she felt a lift in spirit as she congratulated herself. The hard part was over, she could just sit back and wait. With this in mind, she headed to the Chief's office.

"Oh so you haven't died then."

Arizona's blissful daydream was sharply interrupted as a muffin was thrown on the table next to her, soon followed by an irritated Teddy.

"Hey you." She smiled lazily, basking in the sun as they sat outside, the gentle breeze adding to her calm and tranquil mood.

"Don't hey me. I haven't seen you in ages!" Teddy sulked, taking an aggressive bite out of the muffin.

"Teddy, you're ruining my zen vibes."

"What? I – shut up. Where have you been?"

Arizona sighed and turned to face her disgruntled best friend. If she was honest, she had missed Teddy, and had been aching to talk to her about recent events.

"I'm sorry I've ditched you lately Ted, I've just been.. Busy."

"I'll bet. With who?"

Arizona giggled. Straight to the point as always. Looking into her friends enquiring eyes, she decided to trust her with the truth. She was her best friend after all, and after neglecting her with no explanation for the past few weeks, she owed it to her.

"With Addison." She replied, studying Teddy's face. As expected, there came the eye roll.

"Seriously? Still? I mean come on, I like the girl and all, but can't you just leave it alone? How many times do I have to tell you? She's straight."

"I don't think she wants me to leave her alone." Arizona's smile grew as she waited for Teddy to catch on.

"That's cos she's either too polite, or she's playing with you, let's be honest here, you-"

"Teddy, Addison and I are together."

Teddy's sentence adruptly ended and her muffin hit the table.

"Excuse me?!"

"We're together, we just haven't told anyone yet besides Calliope, as it's still pretty fresh with the whole Derek break-up. So yeah, we're an item. And I think she's amazing."

Teddy's mouth had not closed.

"Wait wait wait back up – you told Callie before me? Me? Your best friend? Your BFF? Your homegirl? Your bud?"

"I didn't tell her, Addison did." Arizona laughed. "I was gunna tell you – I was desperate to, but like I said, we wanted to keep it under wraps for a while. But I'm telling you now."

"But what about Ellie?"

"Who's Elli... - oh! She's old news! We were never really anything in the first place to be honest, we just... Well I just.."

"Screwed and left?" Teddy finished her sentence for her, and she blushed.

"Yeah.. I did feel kinda bad, but she was wayyy to clingy for me.. I know you like her an all but-"

"-It's alright, we're friends but not that close. I just thought she'd be perfect for you. But then I'm now pretty sure she slept with Mark the other day so.." Teddy waved a hand in dismissal. "I'm sure she's as over it as you are."

"Mark huh? There's a surprise." Arizona scoffed, but then her expression turned serious. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner Teddy, I know you were only looking out for me with the whole Ellie thing, and I should have told you straight away, but like I said.. It was under wraps, and I didn't want to do anything to compromise that."

Teddy nodded. "I understand, you secretive bitch." She joked. "But you're happy right?"

"I'm freaking ecstatic. She's everything I could ever want."

Teddy smiled, happy for her friend, albiet a little shocked at how unexpected this news was.

"Alright then Romeo, tell me everything. Leave no details – you owe me this big time. I want the wholeeeee story."

"I bet you do! Alright, but talk quietly." She grinned, and shuffled closer. Teddy eagerly gave her full attention, her muffin lay long forgotten on the table as she listened attentively, knowing just by the spark in her friend's eyes that it was going to be good. She hoped that spark would stay for a long time.

Thoughts? :P
