Craig still haunted her dreams.
The brutal nightmares startled her awake, leaving her trembling, crying and sweating.
She never let anyone on the team see how much he still affected her. It had been long enough that she knew they assumed she had made peace with it.
But she hadn't.
His death had changed her.
Made her tougher.
But also more bitter.
More careful.
Less naïve.
Grace lay back on the bed and tugged the covers around her once more. She wondered if maybe one day she'd be able to live with it.
Maybe one day she could move on.
