Failure to Launch
Chapter 1
Peeta's pov.
Peeta dragged Amanda through the door and let the rest fall into place as always ... They slept together, Peeta's parents walked in the room, the girl he was currently dating realized he lived with his parents, and dumped him.
It always worked... Until he met Katniss.
They day he met Katniss, he was at a furniture store looking for new furniture for his room, with his mom and dad ... Little did he know what she was up to do.
Katniss's pov.
"Katniss Everdeen, someone's on the line for you."
"Coming," Katniss told Jessie, rushing to grab the phone. "Hello?" She said.
"Hello Katniss," A woman's voice said. "Me and my husband saw your add in a magazine, and just had to call. Our son, Peeta Mellark, has been living with us ever since he was eighteen, and he's thirty-two now! We need help, getting him to move out of the house! Please! Help us!"
"Of course," Katniss said. "I'll meet you at Starbucks at ten A.M., okay?"
"Sounds like a plan!" Mrs. Mellark replied.
Katniss and Mrs. Mellark met up, and talked.
"Okay, so this is my program ... I help guys who live with their parents move out, by forming a relationship with them ... And also ... I don't allow sex .. That's my policy on doing this sort of stuff ... as you can see," Katniss said pulling out a graph. "Ninety-nine- point- nine percent of the men I have dated have successfully left the house, and Peeta Mellark will be the next."
Mrs. Mellark nodded, and then rested her hand on Katniss's ... "I put my son's fate in your hands Katniss. I hope you can succeed."
Peeta's pov.
The moment Peeta saw Katniss, he knew she was different from all the other girls he had dated ... and somehow ... more dangerous. He didn't know why he picked her up, but he did, and by the end of the day ... He and her were going on a date. Putting him in his last game.
