Well I've decided to start this again and I hope everyone likes the new chapters because they will be more in detail then the other chapters.
Joby's POV
I wake up early in the morning, so I don't get annoyed by anyone else. I walk down to the main room and ask an Avox servant if I can get some food. She nods and hands me a menu and I just order simple things like eggs and toast. I thank the Avox and then walk over to the couch without hesitation and sit down and begin to eat.
I sit there in silence and eat my food, but then I hear a door open and the person that comes out first is the one I don't want to see, Kairi. She looks at me and then rolls her eyes and walks over to the table, which was now laid out with food for everyone waking up now. She sat at the table with her back to me, just to ignore me, even though I wasn't bothering her.
I finish my food and hand the Avox the plate to be clean and go back to the couch and grab the t.v. remote and begin flipping through channels, but there isn't anything on besides the stuff about the Games. I quickly throw the remote across the room and it smashes against the wall with a small bang. Kairi turns quickly in her seat to see what happened and she looks at the remote and me before turning back to her breakfast. I hear her mumble something, but I couldn't make out the words.
I get up from the couch and walked back to my room and slowly get undressed to get in the fancy shower. I throw the clothes in the corner of the room and walk into the bathroom and get into the shower. I run my hand through my hair with shampoo and began to think of the small dream I had yesterday when I was told the news of Kairi being pregnant. I shake my head and then rinse the shampoo out of my hair and wash of the rest of my body before getting out and drying off by towel instead of the stupid driers the capitol has. I look at myself in the mirror and wonder why I was here, but a reminder already answered that. I walked back into my room and get dressed in my training clothes and give one look around the room and realize that today is the private sessions. I groan, but walk out of my room towards the main room.
I walk into the main room and look around to see everyone was in there and not really ready at all. I see Katniss and Peeta sitting on the couch very close together. I throw them a gross look, but neither of them sees. Peeta looked over at me and nodded, which I gave a nod in return. Kairi is still sitting at the dining table, but with no food in front of her now. Aero was eating his breakfast as was Holly, who turned to see me standing there. She smiles, but I ignore her and walk over to Peeta and Katniss.
"I'm going down to start early" I whisper, so no one else hears beside him and Katniss. They both nod and I walk to the elevator to go down to get an early start on training before the private sessions come in the afternoon.
The elevator seemed like the longest time to get to the training room. The door opens up and I hear noises already. All the Careers are there already and seem like they have been there for a while now because most of them look tired. I look up to the gamemakers and see that not even all of them are there yet. Just then each of the Careers gathers in a group and begins to talk the strong points of the group and the weak points they need to work on. I watched them when one of the Careers turned and looked at him and winked. She was the blond girl from District One and I knew she was deadly with knife throwing. I ignore her and walk over the knife throwing station and without looking hit a dummy in the stomach with a knife. I throw a few more knives before I get bored and walk over to the plant station and listen to the instructor on what plants are edible and which aren't. I turned in time to see more tributes piling into the training room now and we then do the regular stretch and then the head instructor sends us on our own. We spend two more hours before they call for lunch.
I walked into the lunch room and looked around to find Joyce. I find her sitting with Marie, Amie, Emerald, and Jaz. We all sit there and talk and I give a glance around for my district tributes and they all sat a table away not talking at all. They all had their head downs and we're too into their food to talk. I sigh and ask Joyce if she can go over there and bring them over to the table. She nods and walks over to Kairi and asks her, Aero, and Holly to come over in her soft, sweet voice. They all nod and walk over to our table and they look at me with wary eyes.
I couldn't look at Kairi at first, but they I finally say "Are we still a team?"
They all look at each other before nodding. "Listen I have a plan when we get in the Arena, but you may not like it" I say being completely serious.
