Joe stepped into the kitchen and searched for some cough medicine. But, he could barely think straight.
That didn't work. Ugh, why can't she see Austin isn't the right guy? He thought.
As Joe found the medicine cabinet, Lennox came in from the back door. She spotted Joe.
"Hello!" She exclaimed to Joe.
"Hey, Len. How was your night?" He asked her.
"It was alright. Zander took me to dinner and an art museum" she said with a huge smile.
"That sounds nice. Glad you had a nice time" Joe said to her.
"Yup. What did you two end up doing? You and Ryder, I mean.." Lennox asked.
Joe placed the cough medicine on the counter which Lennox observed.
"Ahh..." she said, realizing what Joe was about to say.
"Yes. Your aunt is home, thanks to Ryder" Joe said softly.
"I never liked Austin" Lennox told Joe bluntly.
"She's going out with him tomorrow" Joe explained to her.
"Oh, no. We won't let this happen. Where is he? Wait. First, are you okay with me interfering?" Lennox said assertively.
"Oh yes. Go right ahead" Joe said happily.
"Thank you" Lennox said and skipped away into the living room.
