It had been two weeks since Sherlock and John has let The Doctor walk out of the police station back in London and there had been no developments. Sherlock sat at his laptop with frustration.
'All I can find is a bunch of maniacs claiming this man is either a vampire, a ghost or a fairy,' Sherlock sighed 'and I can assure you, he is none of these things.'
'What about that man, Elton?' John asked from the arm chair in the middle of the room.
'He doesn't want to speak to me,' Sherlock said simply.
'That's never stopped you before,' John said with a slight chuckle.
Sherlock barley battered an eyelid as he uttered the next words 'he's placed a restraining order.'
John nearly spat out the mouthful of tea he had just sipped 'restraining order?'
'Elton doesn't want to speak to me,' Sherlock said with a shrug.
John shook his head 'Sherlock.'
'But,' Sherlock began 'I did find out a few things.'
John sniggered 'okay.'
'His friend, Ursula Blake, is a slab of concrete,' Sherlock said barley moving.
'A slab of concrete?' John repeated with a shake of his head 'and that isn't weird?'
'I don't know,' Sherlock thought 'I suppose it is.'
John rubbed his face 'anything else?'
'The Doctor travels with a girl called Rose Tyler,' Sherlock said 'her mother is Jackie Tyler. They live on the Powell Estate in Peckham.'
'Isn't that a start?' John asked 'if we find out where his friend is then we might be able to track him.'
'Already sorted,' Sherlock said 'I've got people watching that estate night and day.'
The duo sat in silence for a few more moments as Sherlock hammered a few more keys into John's laptop when Sherlock heard the alert of a text sound 'check that.'
John looked around a saw the phone placed next to Sherlock on the desk 'it's right next you.'
'I…' Sherlock began.
'Actually, no,' John said changing his mind and leaping to his feet and checking the message 'it's from Lestrade, he says there has been another sighting of the box.'
'Where?' Sherlock asked finally looking more interesting.
'The Powell Estate in Peckham.'
Sherlock and John jumped out of their taxi and found themselves at The Powell Estate. They wondered around for a few moments before finding the blue box placed around the back of a group of flats.
'Did that Elton tell you where in the Powell Estate?' John asked.
'Flat 48, Bucknall House,' Sherlock said spinning around to find a flight of stairs 'here we are.'
Sherlock and John quickly ran into the stairs and up a few flights before running along the landing to reach Flat 48. John and Sherlock stood outside the door looking down to the boarded up cat flap back up to the top frame of the door. Sherlock knocked four times quite heavily. Less than ten seconds passed before a happy looking woman with bleached blonde hair, a pink hoodie and small amount of wrinkled answered the door chuckling. She turned around to look at the duo and her face automatically dropped.
'Yes?' she said quite abruptly.
'Are you Mrs Tyler?' John asked politely.
'Who wants to know?' the woman asked.
'My name is John Watson and this is my colleague, Sherlock Holmes, we have been hired by the metropolitan police and the government to research…' John began but he was interrupted.
'Doctor!' the woman yelled 'Rose! It's one of your lot,' before she retreated back inside her flat.
Seconds later The Doctor, dressed in a smart pinstriped suit and a pair of white pumps appeared at the door. Just behind him a beautiful blonde young woman's clothes in jeans and a tight fitted jumper appeared – obviously, the woman's daughter.
'Hello there,' The Doctor said 'I'm afraid this is a bit of a bad time. Social visit you see, my friend here doesn't get many chances to see her mother and this is one of them. Do you think we could do this some other time?' He paused 'hold on. Don't I know you?'
'You were naked,' Sherlock said 'you stole a laptop.'
'Doctor?' the young woman, Rose, laughed 'is this what you get up to when I'm not around?'
'I was saving the world,' the Doctor began 'I'll explain later – so, what do you want?'
