I all their conversations have been serious so far, but I love writing Yusuf and Eames' friendship convo's :D Also Eames POV is fun to right, as a Brit myself I can just go super British in my lingo ;)
"Yusuf, that girl at the cashier also thinks we're a couple! That makes seven!" Eames burst out laughing at the blatantly murderous expression on his best friends face.
"This is not funny Eames!"
"I beg to differ" he wiped his eyes "Yusuf I'm shocked that you would hide our love like this!"
Yusuf grumbled something that Eames assumed was unflattering and pulled the dressing room curtain shut. Eames reclined in his chair, not feeling too guilty about causing his best mate embarrassment after he'd dragged him out clothes shopping on a Sunday, a Sunday for Christ's sake! This was the fourth shop in two hours they'd visited, and they'd managed to piss off three shop assistants along with it. Eames was thourghly bored from sitting in uncomfortable wooden chairs whilst Yusuf tried to find an outfit to impress.
The boy's ears must've been burning because he quickly drew the curtain back, now supporting a pair of navy denim skinny jeans, and a snug fitting grey woollen jumper "What about this one?" he looked disapproving into the mirror.
"Yusuf, I'm going to give you the same answer I've given you for the past two hours...they're all fine!" the other boy shifted from side to side, inspecting himself.
"I'll try on that jacket you picked up" he disappeared behind the curtain again, taking with him Eames' will to live.
"And I'm the gay guy" he muttered "Y'know she won't care what your wearing as long as you look half decent and keep on staring at her with that gooey eyed look you've hand for the last two weeks!" he announced loud enough for the whole dressing room to hear.
Yusuf's head appeared round the cream curtain "Will you keep your voice down" he hissed before shutting the curtain dramatically, and Eames was the queen "And you should be careful announcing that so loudly, there are better ways to out yourself than in a dressing room"
Eames rolled his eyes "Anyways, I'm just saying if she likes you enough to look past your many personality flaws and agree to a date with you she must not mind your appearance" Yusuf thrust back the curtain, fuming.
"My personality defects?!" he exclaimed "And it's not a date, Ariadne and I are just going to see a movie together" he muttered the last part, blushing a delightful shade of beetroot.
"Ah yes" Eames nodded "Then whilst the tensions are rising in the movie, she'll grab your hand and move in closer, you'll wrap your arms around each other, and then as the music begins to get all hopeful and romantic, you'll stare into each others' eyes and lean in—" the grey jumper hit Eames square in the face.
"You, are a bastard" he grimaced "Now how do I look?" Yusuf lifted his arms up for inspection.
Eames pulled the sweater of his face, and took in the latest garment in 'Eames and Yusuf's Runway Show' and was pleasantly surprised "You don't look half bad" he admitted, Yusuf was wearing the navy blue jumper Eames had picked, the one with black buttons and snug sleeves, a plain black t-shirt coupled with a pair of dark grey skinny jeans.
Yusuf rolled his eyes "Thanks" he muttered sarcastically "So this one" he concluded.
"Yep"
Yusuf smiled happily "I'll just change"
"Hallelujah" Eames threw his hands in the air, thanking whatever force there was that this nightmare was over "I'll be waiting outside" he called through the curtain, eager to escape this shop breathe fresh, without the competing smell of fabric and money.
After a few minutes waiting Yusuf emerged from the shop, bags in hand, fresh faced and with a certain glow about him, the guy even had a spring in his step "So you finally got some balls and asked dear Ariadne out to the movies"
"Yes" he grinned "And never ever repeat the conversation you had with yourself about what happens at the movies or you might end up being incarcerated" he warned in the same happy tone.
"Ha ha" he was a moment away from a witty comeback when his phone buzzed in his pocket and he immediately forgot the conversation and slipped it out to read the latest message from Arthur.
You distract me from work at school, you distract me from work at my job, I'm beginning to think you're some kind of evil genius who's secretly plotting my downfall.
-Arthur
He chuckled, not looking up from his phone to reply.
Darling I'm honoured, you called me a genius! A compliment from you and suddenly the day seems that much brighter ;)
-E xx
The fact that's what you took from that sentence worries me -_-
-Arthur
P.S. If I get fired I am coming for you!
No complaints here darling ;)

"Eames!" his head snapped up at the sound of Yusuf's voice as he found himself narrowly avoiding a collision with a pushchair, the woman pushing it gave him a dirty look, which intensified as he cheerily waved an apology at her.
"Sorry Yusuf" he turned back to his friend "My concentration was elsewhere, where you talking about something"
Yusuf's eyed had narrowed suspiciously and he slowed their walk down "You've been doing that all day"
"Don't be silly Yusuf, I've never tripped over a pushchair in my life"
"Not that" he rolled his eyes at Eames "That. Your phone. Every so often it goes off and you look down at it and either laugh or get a weird little happy smile on your face"
"What, I can't be happy with a text?" he laughed nervously, Yusuf's stare was beginning to get to him. He and Arthur had agreed not to tell people at school or even close friends at the moment, what was going on, whatever it was that was going on.
"Depends" Yusuf cocked his head "On whose making you look like that" his eyes widened "Holy fucking hell please tell me that's not Arthur you're texting" Eames tried his best to look affronted and not guilty, he must've failed because Yusuf's mouth dropped open and looked like it was heading for the floor.
"Are you fucking kidding me?!" he yelled, the sound thankfully didn't echo around the shopping centre, but an elderly couple looked extremely put out and scuttled away muttering something about 'Kids' and 'No respect'.
"Yusuf mate, might want to lower your voice before we offend more elderly" Yusuf looked like he didn't know whether to storm off or punch Eames.
He did however lower his voice "Are you seriously taking part in Nash's bet?!"
"What, no of course not, I told you before this is something else"
"Without Nash you never would've talked to Arthur" he hissed "Stop playing with fire Eames! What does that guy have on you that's so bad anyway?!"
"Nothing! Just some dumb photo!" he snapped "I care about Arthur, more than anyone in the world. I was a complete idiot to ditch him and I lived with that mistake every day, I finally have a chance to make things right and you think I'm just doing it for a bet?!"
"You don't think this is all going to back fire horribly if Arthur finds out about the bet? What if Nash shows people whatever he's got on you? Do you see this ending well for anyone?" Eames opened his mouth but had no reply; did he see this ending well?
"I really care about him Yusuf" he whispered, the anger on his friends face wad swiftly replaced by concern, he placed a hand on Eames' shoulder.
"Let's hope that'll be enough"
Thanks for reading and reviewing :D
