"Alice!" In a swift movement, he grabbed her elbow to stop his sister from running away from him.
He had been wanting to talk to her and clarify about her vision when she held Sleeping Beauty's hand.
Yes, he had been used calling the mysterious woman that he had rescued Sleeping Beauty.
Alice had been avoiding her the whole day. He was looking for her and he found her in the woods, with Jasper. The two were inseparable since they became a couple some three hundred years ago.
"Eddie!" She yelped as she tried to get away. But he will never let her go until they talked, of course. He had to make her confess.
"We have to talk, Alice..." He held her sister's unsteady gaze with his determined eyes.
"But I don't want to talk!" Her voice was screechy.
"You're acting strange, Alice. Something is wrong and I want to know." He was determined to pull out the information from her and Alice knew that he won't stop until her gets what he wanted.
"Edward," she sounded exhausted and retired, "I am worried. I am very worried..." Fear mirrored in her usually brilliant eyes.
"Why?" His eyebrows cocked.
"Oh, Eddie!" She detached herself from Jasper and threw herself at him.
He embraced his sister in a comforting hug. Alice was always the happy camper among the Cullens, with her jolly demeanor and chirpy voice filling the mansion. And he was not used seeing her this way.
"There's nothing to be worried of, Alice..." He comforted her.
"But there is!" She stuck her head and vehemently insisted. "I am very worried of us all."
He looked at her sister and their eyes clashed, hers with anxiety, and his with curiosity. "Tell me, sissy, what was your vision of Sleeping Beauty? What did you see?"
"Oh Eddie!" She embraced him tighter. "I hate her!"
He was stunned. Alice could be the most amiable person on Earth and she loved making friends and hating someone she barely knew was peculiarly unusual of his sister.
"You don't know her yet, Alice..." He softly whispered.
"But I hate her, brother. I hate her!"
"Why?" He didn't understand.
"She will bring bad things to us. You," she pointed at him, "Carlysle, Esme, Rosalie, Emmett, Jasper... we will all die for her. Do you hear that? We will all die for her and I'm very worried for each and everyone of us."
He was speechless for a moment.
"Listen to me, Eddie, we have to dispose of her before badluck will befall to our family. You have to bring her back to wherever you picked her."
He held Alice firmly on the shoulders. She was shaking now and almost in hysteria. "Take it easy, sissy. No harm will gonna happen to each and everyone of us."
"No! You listen to me, brother. That woman, is a disaster waiting to strike us all. We have to do something now before it's too late. She will bring our deaths!"
"I will not allow that to happen, Alice," he said in a calm voice. "I won't permit anyone hurt the Cullens."
"Then get rid of her, now! Before it's too late!"
He sighed.
"Eddie, please listen to me... I'm begging you..."
"Alice..." He can see how clearly Alice was so worried. But he just can't get rid of Sleeping Beauty like that. She was helpless.
"If you can't do it, I will do it!" She yelled.
Alice had never been this difficult to deal with. But she was acting really strange. And he can't blame her though. What she saw terrified her.
"No, Alice," he tried to remain calm. "You will not do such a thing. Please remain the sweetheart that you are."
"But not this time!" She cut him off. "This is a serious matter and it involves safety of my family. I just can't let this go. You have to listen to me, brother."
"I know you love us, Alice and we love you too, sweetie," he squeezed her cute nose, "but you have nothing to worry about. I'll take care of this. I assure you that no one will be hurt, 'kay?"
Alice wrinkled her nose. "But my vision..."
"We'll deal with your vision, Alice. I trust you on that. But maybe, it's not really what you think it is."
"I saw it, brother. I saw death. I saw you died. I saw us all died!"
