Watching the past few weeks episodes of Holby I have found myself thinking 'have the producers been reading this fic?'. The most recent de ja vu of this fic was Henrik getting injured in the crash, but there have been other ideas that have been quite reminiscent of this fic I just can't remember them so if you can think of any let me know, I find it slightly freaky how similar the drama's story lines have been to this. So I can't wait for your feedback on this and I'll have another message at the end as well so read that! Enjoy =D

"So you're leaving today then?" Johnny tucked something under the desk.
"Yeah, this afternoon, I've just got some paperwork to finish then that's it for 6 months." Tabby confirmed, looking a tad excited.
"Well, we're gunna miss ya kiddo." Mo patted her back.
"Cheers."
"I'm sure you're gunna do great." Johnny assured.
"I hope so." Tabby sucked through her teeth.
It was quiet, unusually so, almost like the calm before the storm, though there was no mention of a major incident. Maybe things knew it was a new chapter for her; give her some peace and quiet before the hard work takes over. She decided that the wards were fine on their own so she returned to her office to finish her paperwork.

She sighed and leaned back in her chair, glancing to her right she spotted her dark purple suitcase sitting patiently beneath her window, "Not long to go now." She spoke softly then glided her eyes up to her wall clock; she had half an hour.
*Knock knock*
"Come." She stated, signing off some forms. The door opened and shut but no words were spoken by the entrant. She finished her signature and looked up at the tall being leaning against her door, "Hey." She sounded wobbly as she twizzled her pen in her fingers.
"How are you feeling?"
"Ok, I guess." She placed down her pen and swung her chair to face him.
"Are you ready to get going soon?"
She nodded, glancing back at her suitcase, a solemn expression lining her features.
Noticing her upset he decided she needed some time alone; he rubbed her hand caringly and silently departed.
She took a deep breath to hold back the tears and stuck her head down into her work for the last 25 minutes.

"All set?"
"Yeah, 2 seconds." Tabby slung her satchel over her head, nabbed her coat from the back of her chair and pulled up the handle of her suitcase before heading out and locking her office door.
"They've already congregated at the entrance you know?" Henrik informed, slightly amused.
"Who?"
"Your colleagues. They have something for you apparently."
"And where is Digby?"
"Waiting by my office."
They shortly joined with the young doctor and headed down in the lift.
"There they are." Chantelle pointed over.
"Tabby come here you monkey." Mo opened her arms for a hug.
"This is from all of us on Darwin, sorry it's not wrapped." Johnny handed her the box.
Tabby received it with both hands and took off the lid to reveal a posh looking notepad and Parker pen.
"Some paper for the Papergirl." Jac explained sarcastically.
"Aw thank you guys." She smiled and turned to Johnny for a hug; he picked her up and plonked her back down.
"Jac don't bail out on me, 2 seconds come on." Tabby tried to convince.
Jac gave in and gave her a quick awkward hug, "You're on the road to great things Polly Allan."
"Who?" Tabby furrowed her brow.
"The initials make PA." Johnny rolled his eyes at Jac's typical insults.
"This is from us on Keller." Chantelle thrust the neatly wrapped pink gift into Tabby's hands. Tabby opened it to reveal a set of sparkly gel pens, "They're great because you can colour code your notes." Chantelle explained enthusiastically.
Tabby looked up at the Keller team to see an awkward looking Malick and an indifferent, if not scornful, looking Zosia, "Cheers guys." She smiled.
"From AAU." Sacha held out the contrasting, messily wrapped blue gift, "Apologies for the wrapping, and I'm sorry that it's not much." He sighed
"I'm sure it's wonderful whatever it is." Tabby reassured. Whilst she opened the gift the teams wished Digby good luck and he received a gift from the Keller team. Tabby was pleasantly surprised to find they had given her a rose brooch, "Aww, this is gorgeous guys, thank you."
Sacha, Chrissie, Marie-Claire and Gemma all smiled back.

"Right then, so I'm following you guys?" Digby confirmed.
"Er, why?" Hanssen asked.
"Yeah, you're coming with us." Tabby explained.
"Well, thanks for the offer but I'd rather leave my car somewhere safe."
"You think a pay and display car park at the back of a train station is safer than here?" Henrik asked knowingly convincing Arthur otherwise.
"Ok, thank you." He gave up.
"See you then guys!" Tabby waved.
They both placed their suitcases into Henrik's boot and entered the car. Henrik gave a quick beep of the horn as they left the car park.
Tabby was expectantly comfortable sat in the front passenger seat though Arthur felt extremely uncomfortable in the back.
"So Henrik, your mate, Edward, what's he like?" Tabby enquired curiously.
"He's… interesting, laid back, humorous, very passionate about his work. He's looking forward to working with you two actually."
After a pause and a sigh Tabby reached out to Henrik's arm, "I'm going to miss you, you know?"
Henrik took her hand with his, "I know, you'll do fine though." He smiled.
Arthur stared at the couple sat in the front, hand in hand. He never thought Hanssen had such a tender side, it was almost heart-warming.

It was not long until they arrived at the station.
"Right then, no drugs, no sex, no slacking and no getting pissed, alright?" Henrik laid out the rules as Tabby dragged out their suitcases from the boot.
"Ha, ha, ha, hilarious, Henrik." Sarcasm lining every word from her mouth.
"Got everything then?" He checked whilst she shut the boot.
"Books, gifts, clothes, fucking kitchen sink, yep it's all here." Tabby joked.
"Well then, both of you take care, good luck, learn lots, and most of all… enjoy it." Henrik shook Arthur's hand.
"Thank you for inviting me on this, I can't wait." He grinned.
"Excellent." Henrik then turned to Tabby, "Don't cock it up will you?" He mused.
"I'll try my best not to." She giggled before thrusting herself into his arms.
"I love you." His whisper wobbled slightly.
At his tender words she clutched the back of his jacket and held him tighter, "I love you too."
After a few more seconds Henrik kissed her head and let her go. As she glanced to her colleague he was looking around awkwardly, everywhere but those two.
"I shall see you two at Christmas then, have fun." Henrik leaned against the car.
"See you!" The two student doctors waved and headed into the station.

As the doors slid shut Henrik gave a sigh, his expression sombre as he glanced downwards before turning and getting back in his car and heading back to work. The rest of his day was quiet, uneventful, a couple of elective surgeries and some quick ward inspections. It wasn't until he arrived home that he realised how he was feeling. He entered and stood just through the door, dropped his bag and took a solemn look around the hallway, letting the door slowly swing shut behind him. It was cold, quiet… lonely.
He became so used to having her around the house that now she was gone, it was too quiet.

He made sure the door was shut before hanging his coat and strolling to the kitchen to prep dinner. Everything was back to normal, alone, silent, languid, the way he liked it. But did he really like it? Was it just habit or did he really enjoy having her around? She was lively, yes; sometimes loud of course, but she was happy to sit and listen to some Ludovico Einaudi and read, she enjoyed helping him out in the kitchen, she was content with doing some house chores; and he enjoyed having her around. He agreed, you really don't know what you have until it's gone, and he really didn't realise how lonely he was before she was around. All in all, he was proud to call her his girlfriend, he loved her and although he never could see the day that he would be in a relationship with anybody like her, he was glad he seized the opportunity.
'Just wait until she returns; she'll be one hell of a surgeon.' He smiled then tucked into his pasta.

End, Diwedd, Saigo

So it's goodbye Tabs for now then. Firstly I'd like to thank everyone for reading and the feedback I've had particularly from Hadrians77 and guest reader Kaysia your ideas were a really big help! Shortly I will be writing a little side story to this, not sure what it will be called but keep an eye out for it and it will follow Tabby's little breaks from her course when she comes home for special occasions and such. If you have any requests, ideas, comments or criticisms please don't hesitate to either review or PM me. As a final note I'd like to make an apology, particularly to Kaysia, I'm sorry about Tabby's change in personality and hope that these final two chapters were more like the Tabby we knew before, if not, you have permission to rant and rave as much as you want. Cheers guys!
