Story cancelled!
Because of missing time and less interest in the story the Mystery-Horror-Story 'The Knower' the story is cancelled. This is a detailed recap of the rest of the story. Contains spoilers and possibly many grammar mistakes!
After Spud, Trixie and thier families realized that they have to flee, they took everything they can carry and walk threw the city. The vampires are offically exposed. They rent a mini-van and leave the city. The concil meanwhile, opens the hunt for Trixie and Spud. Outside the city the 'refuges' change the vehicle and travel to West-Virginia.
Spud want's to see the place the Landmark Airlines jet crashed. In a motel, not far away from the crash-site, they learn from the receptionist that the 5 survivors of the crash all died on mysterious conditions. Spud walks, after he colorized his hairs to blonde, from the motel to the crash-site. The plane hit a forest and created a glade. On the crash site Spud has no visions. He believes that this therory was a 'dead-end' before he has a vision of a house in the forest that was destroyed by the plane. But the vision was like it was nothing changed. All people in the villages around tell that they didn't knew anything about a house in the forest. With the help of his parents and Trixie's parents they reconstruct the events and find a possible 'original-storyline':
Jake leaves with his parents and Spud and Trixie get a postcard two days later. After they read the postcard the go to the shop to look for something and surprise a burglar there. After Spud accidently killed one of the woman he is attacked by the other. But somehow Jake returns and safes them. But they can't prevent that the shop burns down.
Spud has two other visions of possible happening and believes that the concil really seems to be innocent, but not completly. At night he takes one of the prophibited sleeping-pills again and has another vision:
The house in the forest was owned by a family of wizards. The dead father and children tell him that only the mother survived because she was in the forest to collect berrys. Spud sees in his dream how the vampire they helped them was bitten because he found something magical that was already searched and just left behind there. Spud realizes that the accident of the Landmark jet was really an accident before he meets the dead vampire who apologizes for the trouble.
Spud wakes up the next morning, telling his parents about his dream before they realize that they are identified by the news and see themself in TV again. The recepcionist calls the police. But instead of the police, several dragons arrive. They decide to flee again. In that moment Concilour Kulde enters thier motel-room, the both familys flee in a truck, they stole from the parking lot, off of the area. When they race away they are hunt by the soldiers of the concil. They end with thier truck in a house and got captured by the dragons in front of douzens of witnesses.
The both familys are captured and stand in front of a court on the Isle of Draco. Spud confesses about his abilities and thier investigations. With a emotional speech they set up the concil and impress the dragons on the island. Trixie and Spud get the death-penalty for treason and exposing of the magical-world. Thier parents are escorted to the cells, but Trixie's father manages to escape with his military abilities and safe the other parents. Together they sneak threw the prison and find Trixie and Spud in thier cell. The concilours are holding a long and disgusting speech before they are called out because there is a demonstration outside.
Surprisingly a young man sneaks threw a secret door and safes the both teenagers. Together with thier parents they sneak thew a secret tunnel out of the palace. Others help them to get to the elevator to leave the island. But instead to get back to New York the get to a city somewhere in East-Europe. When they leave the elevator a child hands them a note with an adress and an explanation. A mysterious man comes and gives them fresh clouthes and escorts them to an apartment in a old 14-floors stored building in the center. The apartment is completely furnished and there is anything to live. When the phone rings, they take the call and a man tells them something about the last happenings:
They arrived in Chisinau, the capital of Moldova. A organisation that was found 30 years ago in the Soviet-Union worked on a way to prove that members of the dragons-concil worked together with the evil. That was later proved when Chang was exposed as the dark-dragon's accomplain. But even after she was arrested and esspeccially in the last six weeks more and more strange events happend. After the dead of Jake and his family the organisation tried to contact Trixie and Spud... without success. The man want's to meet Trixie and Spud alone, in a cafe near the Opera and Balet Theather in the center. In a envelope under the phone they find 100000 Moldavian Lei (around 6500 € how the caller explains). Trixie and Spud agree.
Thier parents don't want the both teenagers walking alone threw a foregin city, especcially after the events of the last days. But Trixie and Spud lock-up thier parents in the apartment and leave with a direction for the Theather. When they walk threw the city they talk about it and decide to, if it's possible, to change the time. As arranged they arrive in the cafe and sit down on the reserved table. A man, who hides his face behind a magazine, talks to them. He explains that he believes everything Spud told in his statement on the island because he once had the same ability. Both find out that there are a lot more humans who know about the magical-world even before they did, but that they are the only two who the concil knows about.
Spud offers his help and asks for a laptop and a concetion to the Internet to investigate better. The man agrees and says that he will find it on the next day on the clouthes line on ther balcony. Before the man leaves Trixie and Spud ask him who he is. The man only says that they won't understand. Spud asks him what they should do when they are not successful, the man answers that they should start to learn Russian...
The following night... Spud dreams about Jake. Spud asks him about time-travelling. Jake doesn't answers and only points on the burning electronic-shop.
At the next morning, Spud really finds a laptop bind up on the clouthes line and start to search the internet. At the same time, Trixie and thier parents watch a Ukrainian news-show that shows that now also werewolfs and wizards are exposed. Spud meanwhile sees online that the electronic shop was burned down by thier classmates (Jake/ dragon/ freak) and that Jake might be exposed, too. Spud searches the internet and hacks into magical-sites. There he learns about the Uronco Hourglass, Jake used once to travel back to 1986. When he tells Trixie about it they see on a magical-website that the maker of the vampire published a story that a second hourglass was in the Landmark jet and he was forced by the concil, to keep silence. The hourglass was destroyed in the crash. They learn that Uronco was a witch in medival Romania. Magical sites tell that she looked for a way to prevent disasters by traveling back in time and change the things.
Uronco was burned on pyre in the middle of the 15th century. An exibit about her is currently touring threw the European museums. Randomly, the exihibit is currently in the National Museum in Chisinau. Together with thier parents they go to the museum and learn there that Uronco made the hourglasses of a wooden-mask that is in the exhibition. When Spud and Trixie are in the museum, the fire-alert sounds and the people leave. Spud and Trixie send thier parents out and hide behind a curtain. Outside their parents try to get back into the museum and meet with the man from the cafe who tells them to leave the city and runs in himself.
In the museum, Trixie and Spud see that the both woman are concilour Chang and the West-Virginian witch. The witch agreed to help Chang because Chang told her that the plane that killed her family was never supposed to crash and that everything only happens because someone changed the time. Spud explains her that Chang lied on her and proves it with things her husband and her children told to him when he had a vision. The witch realizes that Spud tells the truth and that the crash was really an accident. Chang threats them with a magical-weapon and confesses that she traveled back from 2015 to take revenge, eight years after the events in 'Hong Kong Longs'. And that she is able to do it again. When she want's to kill them, the man from the cafe arrives and shots with a gun into Changs weapon.
The man figures out as a 53 years-old Spud. In 2015 he surprised Chang when she tried to travel back in time and he accidently traveled together with her. Both land in 1985. Spud never knew about time-traveling from Jake but he knew well about the magical-world. Chang traveled back to 2007 and left Spud in the past. Spud, who was already 23, moved over the magical-world to Chisinau (because the dragons-concil had no influence in this part of the Soviet-Union) and prepared his revenge for 30 years. He is the one who also organized the demonstration on the island and helped them to flee. He points with his gun and a stap of sphinx-hair on Chang and forces her to step away from the mask and asks her why she came here. She answers: Because I need that thing!
With magic she shatters the glass of the vitrine and Spud shoot on her. Outside the police hears the shoots and ran in. Spud hits Chang's face and scratches her face. She throws the glass on the adult Spud who get's hardly injured. The younger Spud tries to prevent that Chang uses a piece of the mask to repair her own hourglass. Chang breathes fire on them and sets up the building in fire. When the police arrives inside Chang kills them by breathing fire on them. When she is busy with repairing her hourglass to travel back once again and repeat the crash to fix it in the timeline forever, Spud is looking for his older himself and before he dies he says that he has to stop Chang and safe the live of thousands of people.
He and Trixie ran after Chang who hids in another room and finishes the hourglass. With a trick they sneak on her and manage to travel back with her. Chang realizes that she failed and attacks the both teeangers by blowing fire on them. Once again the museum is evacuated. She flys out threw a window and with another bigger fireball she blows up the museum. Spud and Trixie survive and leave the hardly damaged building. Chang is on the way back to New York. Spud and Trixie are captured by the Moldavian police outside the destroyed museum. Both manage to escape with a gun and highjack a 'Rutiera' to drive back to the place where the magical-elevator is. The troll in the elevator recognizes them and is only willing to help them after the both teenagers hand him 10000 Lei.
Back in New York, both realize that they only have a half hour before Jake's plane leaves. From a public telephone they call the police and tell them that there is a bomb aboard the plane. The plan works and Jake's flight is delayed for a hour. Than they try to call Jake but Jake and his family doesn't pick up. They take a taxi and meet with thier taxi-driver again. Happy to see him alive they want him to get them to the airport. When they arrive there they pay him the remaining 90000 Lei and run into the airport.
Trixie shows Spud a keycard she stole out of her mothers pocket before they left thier apartment in Chisinau. With the keycard they are able to sneak into the security-areas and follow Chang into the plane. Chang prepares a magical explosive to destroy the engine from the cargo-room. Spud and Trixie sneak into the plane and hide as like Chang does. All attempts to prevent a start failed and the plane aproaches. Spud and Trixie look for Chang but she is not in the plane. They only find a brief letter: „Do you think I'm so stupid!?" In that moment they realize that Chang uses a 'living-explosive' that is able to move itself.
Chang meanwhile 'is' in the plane and fills (dressed as a flight-attendant) a magical-sleeping potion into all bottles. After it she walks threw the cabin. When she passes the Longs she narcotizes them without that the passengers realize it. Spud and Trixie meanwhile had sucess and could capture the explosive in a small trolley. After that they found the spell Chang will use to leave the plane. They destroy it and break into the cabin. There they meet Chang who threads them to blow up the plane. In front of the passengers they start to fight and hunt threw the cabin. During the fight Chang narcotizes more than two-thirds of the people aboard. In the front galley, Trixie is able to throw one of Changs potions on her and make her unable to move.
Chang start to smile and says that it's already to late. Spud sees that the explosive in the trolley start to cut itself threw the leather. Spud throws the trolley on Chang who uses another potion to blow herself up.
In the explosion, the right front door and the galley get destroyed. The cabin-pressure drops. The remaining awake passengers get in panic and some get injured. Spud and Trixie can hold on the seats to not to be sucked out of the plane. In the cockpit, the pilot wanted to look what happend and is sucked out of the plane when the cockpit-door bursts. The first officer is knocked out when his head hits against the cockpit-window. In the cabin the passengers are in panic. The plane decreases to 12 thousand feet and is flying on automatic. Trixie and Spud are confronted by the passengers. They are able to calm down them and tell them that the pilots will bring them down safely. Spud and Trixie go to the sleeping Jake and try to wake up him. They apologize to him and place a oxygen-mask on his face.
Slowly they realize that the plane isn't sinking. Both carefully pass the big hole in the wall and enter the cockpit where they realize that the plane is pilotless. The radio and several electronic devices are dead. Chang destroyed the most cables when she blew up herself. Spud hacks himself into the computer of the autopilot and is able to programm a emergency landing in Gander. The air-traffic-controll meanwhile send a military-jet to the InterFly plane and knows what's going on. Gander Airport is prepared for the emergency landing.
Trixie manages to remember everything her mother told her about flying and is able to use the flaps and find the right handle for the landing-gear. Only a few seconds before they land a fire breaks out and destroys the remaining electronic systems. The plane starts to drop but Spud pulls up the jet manually. The left wing hits a parked regional-jet and causes an big explosion on the airport that blocks the only open runway. The jet is loosing fuel and so the both teenagers decide to land on a open field.
They manage to bring down the hardly damaged jet. Only seconds before the impact Trixie and Spud are talking about thier friendship and thank each other for beeing 'The best friend someone can have'.
The plane comes down. After several hundred feet the landing gear breaks off. But the jet stops and all people can leave the burning plane without hardly injuries. Some people tell Jake about the events in the cabin and about his friends. In shock Jake runs back to the burning plane. The cockpit and the front-section ripped off of the rest and burn. Under tears, Jake collapses and believes that his friends are dead.
A hour later, after the concil arrived to prevent that the people talk to the press, Jake's father finds a voice-mail on his mailbox and they learn that the Spud and the Trixie from the plane came from future. Jake flys as a dragon back to crash-site and is looking, in front of douzens of human-witnesses, for the hourglass. Jake finds it and destroys the glass in anger...
The time is changed back to normal... Chang could never use the hourglass to travel back and bring the older Spud back in time. So the story continues with Jake siting in front of his house and waiting for Trixie and Spud (Chapter 2). Due to lucky circumstances, both arrive in time before the aiport-shuttle arrives. All three apologize for that what they said the last day in the shop. Both accomplain them to the airport to say goodbye and leave when the plane approached.
The following night, Spud is unable to sleep and finds one of the prophibited sleeping-pills. After he took one he dreams about the concil. When Jake arrives they see together how the palace explodes and the whole concil is killed by beeing crushed under the falling debris. The story ends with Spud, walking into the bathroom after the nightmare and seeing himself with horrible burns in the mirror.
