Dear Hungary,

I hear that you are not faring particularly well. I send my condolences. I hope that there is a resolution to your troubles in the near future. If I can offer you any assistance or advice, then please call for me. I will do what I can for you.

If it offers you comfort, our parting has resulted in trouble for me as well. Germany has become uncomfortably close. He seems to believe that he is wanted here. I cannot agree.

Unfortunately, it seems that my writing to you should come to so soon an end. You are experiencing enough difficulty with communism and the pressures of German company are demanding my attention. At times I wonder whether it would have been better to have simply stayed together.
