Ch 7

James's POV

I step out of the shower, my own shower, and into the steamy bathroom. I got home late last night after a incredible night. It was hard to leave Kendall's warm embrace, but I had to before people started to get suspicious.

When I got home I couldn't even sleep, I was so excited and happy. I haven't felt this emotionally great in forever. Although my body doesn't feel too hot. My body aches all over, but it's a good kind of pain. I'm so looking forward to relaxing today.

I step into my living room and grab the remote. I brush my semi tangled hair away from my eyes and turn on the tv across the room. I leave on whatever is playing for background noise, just another celebrity gossip show, and walk into the kitchen for a snack.

I'm in the middle of making a sandwich when I hear my name spoken on the television in the other room. I drop everything and rush to the tv, scared of whats being said.

I arrive just in time to hear the host start: "The biggest emerging story includes sexy song artist James Diamond. James is admired by millions of fans, but is he really the sweet, down to earth guy you thought he was?"

My stomach drops. What? Oh no.

"Giant plans to perform at his girlfriend of almost a year, Amber's 18th birthday party last night left everyone confused to as why he was a no show."

Oh shit, I forgot about the party.

"Wondering the worst, fans refused to believe that he ditched the performance to do other things. "

Kendall...

"We all believed that James's cancelled appearance was an issue of sudden illness until a few hours after the party ended, when a picture emerged on a popular social media site."

Huh? I wipe my hot, sweaty hands on my pants. Picture?

"The picture was security footage shot in what looks like an elevator. It shows not so sweet James locked lips with another person. Only that person isn't Amber, but another man."

I can't breath. Fuck.

"James's career isn't looking to hot right now, for fans are furious about the lies and deceit he has does on both Amber and on his career."

There was a security camera in the elevator?

"Who knows what will happen to James Diamond's career. Only time will tell."

Who would send in a picture like that?

"Tune in tomorrow for more on James Diamond's scandalous behavior. Signing off."

My life is over.

Kendall's POV

I pick up the ball and roll it down the alley. Since its raining, my mom, sister, and I decided to go bowling. I'm smiling nonstop today, all because of James. Katie keeps giving me side glances and snickering. I don't care at all, it was so worth it.

Last night, after getting out of the shower, we laid in bed and talked. I've never connected so much with a person than when we were chatting then. I don't remember exactly what we talked about because halfway through the conversation I feel asleep in his arms.

When I woke up this morning, James was gone and there was a note on the bedside table that said
"Loving you changed my life,
Knowing you changed who I am,
Thank you for giving me so much,
Just by giving me your love. -James"

I carried it the whole day and its in my pocket now. I reach into my jean pocket and touch the letter, making me smile again.

Sitting in the chair watching Katie bowl, I feel my phone vibrate in my back pocket. I reach for it and grin because it's James.

I answer the phone and hear him speak the words I never thought I would hear, "I'm sorry, but this was all a big mistake. We're over."
