Chapter 13

Author's note: Okay I got to get back to doing this story stuff correctly. I'm kind of not concentrated in my writing, sorry for that. I'll get back don't worry though. Nothing can stop this Naomi!

"Cloud?" Sephiroth shook Cloud to wake him up so he could go to his classes, something that would not be ignored because he was gaining weight and having pain problems. "Hm," Cloud murmured, his eyes not opening. "Get up," Sephiroth ordered, Cloud groaning. Cloud threw the blankets over his head, Sephiroth narrowing his eyes. "Cloud, get up," he repeated, Cloud ignoring him. Sephiroth frowned, sighing irritably. "Cloud," he warned, Cloud ignoring him once again. Sephiroth grabbed the blanket and tore it off him, his eyebrow rising as he saw that he was naked, his groin stirring. "Seph let me sleep," Cloud mumbled, obviously not wanting to get up anytime soon. "Get up and wash up, I'll drive you there this time," Sephiroth persuaded, Cloud pulling a pillow over his head. Sephiroth sighed, slapping Cloud's ass, feeling triumphant when he jolted up with a yelp, glaring daggers of ice at him. "Get up," Sephiroth repeated, Cloud falling back down onto the bed, his knees raised and spread slightly as he threw an arm over his eyes. "I don't wanna," Cloud whined. Sephiroth trailed his eyes up Cloud's body, wishing for once he wouldn't sleep naked. He reached forward, touching a few fingers to his inner thigh, trailing them up slowly, teasing him.

Cloud slapped his hand away, sitting and going to get off the bed. "I'll go wash up," he said, Sephiroth grabbing his arm. "Do you really want to go?" he asked, wanting him to stay so they could have a quickie. Then he would take him. "Give me a break Seph, I'm not full of mako," Cloud protested, Sephiroth holding his tongue. With how much they had sex and he had released into him, he was surprised he wasn't stronger than him by now. Cloud shook his head when he didn't immediately respond. He turned, Sephiroth's hand falling as Cloud crawled to him, standing up onto his knees and pulling him into a kiss. Sephiroth put his hands on his back, trailing them down to his ass and squeezing when he opened his mouth in invitation. Sephiroth pulled him closer, sliding a finger into his anus. Cloud pulled away, biting his bottom lips softly before pulling away completely, removing both of Sephiroth hands. "When I come back alright," he whispered, no already on Sephiroth's tongue. Why would he want him to walk around with a boner all day for? "I'll be quick," Sephiroth promised, Cloud shaking his head with a smile.

"The Soldier exams are coming soon. I have to lose this weight ASAP," Cloud said while getting off the bed, walking past Sephiroth who turned and pulled him back, pressing his back into his chest. "But I like how you look," Sephiroth pointed out, rubbing Cloud's stomach. "I think your sexy," he husked against his neck as he rubbed his nose against his skin, Cloud tilting his head to the side. Sephiroth wrapped his arms around his waist, kissing his jawline "To you I do. Not to my instructors. I've cut back on food and have been pushing myself to lose the weight. I've only lost five Seph. I still have to lose another twelve," Cloud pointed out, Sephiroth sighing as he let him go, reason taking over his lust as he watched Cloud leave to the bathroom. This was going to be a long day.

I grunted as I pulled myself up, panting as I got up from doing my routine sit ups, my stomach hurting as my instructor talked to a soldier who came to supervise, their instructor having us do any exercise we wanted for the time being. I went to the weights, sitting down on the bench with a sigh. My back was killing me at the moment, the simple position i was in like needles prickling my lower back. I rubbed it but tried to not put to much thought to it, laying down. I lifted the weight off it's holder, gritting my teeth when my back continued to protest, lifting the weight. I was on my fifteenth lift before I could take no more, tears prickling my eyes as I put it back on its holder.

I took out my phone from my shirt pocket, sitting up with great difficulty, putting a hand to my lower back as I pressed Zack's speed dial. I put the phone to my ear, wiping away a tear as I controlled myself. I would have called Sephiroth but I didn't want to disturb him, seeing as how he had a lot of work to do seeing as how he's been coming home every night to be with me. Not that it was because he didn't want sex. "Yello," Zack replied, my eyes closing as I thank gaia for making him available. "Can you come here and bring me to the infirmary?" I asked, looking to my instructor. Gaia forsake the rule that one could only go to the infirmary if someone of higher rank took them. They only made that rule because at the beginning of the Soldier academy most kids just ditched there and persuade the nurses to let them stay and help. Though if what Sephiroth said was true, back than most of the nurses back than had gotten pregnant almost like everyday. I wonder what the cadets were helping with.

"You alright Spikey?" Zack asked, genuine concern seeping into his voice. I wanted to roll my eyes. I felt a little helpless whenever he used that tone on me, and I hated that. "It's nothing big, its just it feels like someone is sticking a needle into my back and its stopping me from working out. I want to get a painkiller so I can continue," I supplied, Zack humming on the other end. "Sure buddy!" He said happily, that undertone of concern making me grit my teeth. I forced a smile though, ending the call before putting my phone back into my pocket, sighing as I went to stand up. I almost screamed in agony, my hand clenching onto the bench as I hunched over, my instructor looking to me as the other cadets backed up in fear I might vomit again. Something wasn't right. "I'll take him to the infirmary," I heard Zack's voice say hurriedly, my instructor grunting as I heard his heavy footsteps. "Cloud," Zack called as he helped me up, putting a hand to my lower back to straighten me, my breathing a tad faster than normal as we walked out the training room. "I don't think you should continue training Cloud," Zack said after a long time of silence as we ventured to the academy. I looked up to him, raising an eyebrow. "What?" I asked in disbelief, Zack not meeting my eyes as he sighed. "Cloud I know you want to be in Soldier, but throwing your health out the window isn't going to get you there any faster. There's something generally wrong with you Cloud, and I don't think gaining weight is the main thing here," Zack said, seeming uncertain as he spoke, a frown pulling at my lips as I stopped walking.

"What is wrong with you Zack?" I asked, pulling away from him despite the pain it caused. "There is nothing wrong with me and you know it," I said as calmly as I could, backing up a step. "Aerith," Zack sighed with a sake of his head, not finishing his sentence as he turned his back to me. "Aerith what?" I asked slowly, something in my stomach twisting. I had a feeling I wouldn't want to hear what he had to say but with the mention of her name I couldn't find the reason to drop it. "Aerith told me that," Zack sighed as he slapped his hand to his forehead, murmuring something under his breath before turning to me, meeting my eyes. "Aerith told me that when she first saw you, she had thought you were pregnant." I stared at Zack for a good long moment. He threw his hands up in the air and growled, showing how uncomfortable he was talking about this. That at least made me feel less like he was crazy, taking a deep breath. "Zack, I'm a guy," I pointed out, Zack nodding his head as he scratched the back of his head. "I know Cloud, but she had really thought you were. Look just listen. When people get fat Cloud, it shows almost everywhere. Not one area, but their entire body get's bigger. Cloud, the only thing big on you is your stomach," Zack said slowly as if not to upset me, my eyebrows furrowing as I looked down at myself.

I wasn't humongous but there was definitely a difference in mass when it came to my stomach and the rest of my body. But me, pregnant? That wasn't even humanly possible! "Zack that's impossible," I pointed out, my tone becoming a tad snappish, Zack flinching as he nodded. "I know buddy, but can we just at least check that whatever is happening isn't life threatening?" Zack asked, my anger slowly dying away as i felt defeated and exhausted. I felt like I couldn't even muster up the strength to say no anymore as I let him guide me to the infirmary. "Not to cause your immediate dismissal if this is big, I was thinking of going to a doctor off the grounds," Zack said as he stopped walking, my lips pulling into a grimace. I actually agreed with that one.

We went to my barrack where I changed my clothing and left Sephiroth a voice mail when he didn't pick up before leaving. I was fidgety as Zack drove us in his car the company loaned him, tapping my finger against the armrest and bouncing my knee as I looked out the mirror, Zack kind enough to not comment. When i arrived I had to mentally prepare myself as I walked up to the building, its shadow a looming presence that made goose bumps blossom on my bare arms, giving off a vibe that screamed that once you went in, you weren't coming out. The inside was way different from the outside. Kids ran around, yelling and laughing as parents laid defeated in their seats, the actual sight amusing to me. Children one, Parents zero.

I sat down as Zack went up to the registry, looking to the person next to me. He looked normal, but I wasn't too trusting, looking away and to my lap. "They want you to fill this out," Zack said as he sat down next to me, handing me some paperwork. I filled it out quietly till i got to a question that made me want to throw it all down and walk out. 'Are you pregnant or expecting soon?' It asked, a deep frown pulling at my lips. I would have written I'm a man but controlled myself, gently crossing off no before continuing. When I finished it I handed it to Zack who took it and got up with a slight jump, walking to the window and handing it over. He sat back down. Than we waited. And waited.

I was about to fall asleep when my phone went off in the somewhat quieter place seeing as how there were only a few people left, taking it from my pocket with a yawn, covering my mouth with the back of my hand as I flipped it open, putting it to my ear. "Where are you at?" Sephiroth's baritone voice asked, waking me up as I felt a little frantic but at the same time relived. "Zack took me to the doctors off campus to see what's wrong with me, cause he think there is," I supplied, Sephiroth quiet on the other line. i took the phone away from my ear to see if he hadn't hung up before putting it back to my ear. "Which one are you at?" he finally asked after a few minutes, probably on the verge of sleeping if the tired tone of his voice meant anything. "I'm at the one east of Loveless Avenue," I replied, moving the phone to my other ear as I leaned back against the chair. "Go home and get some sleep though alright? I'll come over as soon as we finish in here," I said, Sephiroth snorting on the other line. i could see him pinch the bridge of his nose as he sat back in his seat, the vision making me smile. "Fuck sleep, I'm coming right now," Sephiroth retorted, hanging up so i wouldn't be able to protest. I hated when he did that.

I flipped my phone closed and put it back in my pocket, the nurse coming out at the same time and calling my name, Zack rising and helping me up before we went to the open door she stood by. We walked past her as she closed it behind us, walking in front of us before leading me to a a white room. She checked my weight and height than sat me down on the bed and told me to wait and that the doctor was coming shortly, leaving me and Zack alone. Zack sat in the chair across from me wiggling his eyebrows and making me smile. "How are feeling," he asked as I laid down onto my side, the most comfortable position i had found I was able to sleep on for the past two or three months. I looked to Zack and shrugged. "I could use some water," I replied, Zack smirking as he got up. I gave him a thankful smile as he left the room, sighing as I closed my eyes. I was about to fall asleep again when the door opened, my eyes drooping open. "Wake up Spikey," Zack chuckled as he helped sit me up, giving me a small cup of water.

I drank it as I finished the doctor came in, his eyes looking up from clip board, his thin lips pulling into a smile. "I'm Dr. Ahmed and you must be Cloud," the doctor said with a warm smile, making me feel uneven. "So Cloud, what seems to be the matter today?" he asked as he pulled the rolling stool in front of me, sitting down. I felt uncomfortable with the way he stared at me so I looked to Zack who in seeing my distress stood up, making the doctor turn to him. "Sorry he's a very shy person around strangers," Zack chuckled, standing next to me and grabbing my hand to comfort me. "He has been dealing with sudden weight gain and nausea along with sudden lower back pains for the past seven to eight months and we thought it was because he was eating to much. But he has cut back on food and began to exercise frequently since the second month, but he has only gained more weight. Se we were wondering if maybe there was something wrong," Zack explained, the doctor nodding with a thoughtful gleam in his eyes.

He looked to me with a smile that seemed less excited, backing up a tad as he wrote something down on his clip board. "Any diarrhea or vomiting? Any constant stomach muscle contractions?" he asked, my eyebrows rising. "Yes and yes but not for the past month or so. But the stomach contractions sometimes do happen at night and wake me up but that hasn't happened for a few days," I replied, the doctor nodding as he got up. "Come with me. I would like to do some blood tests then an ultra sound to make sure it's nothing that will cause internal damage," he said, taking us to a bright blue room, leaving than returning with a nurse and a few needles and some tubes.

"The blood work results won't be able to be seen b you or me for a week or so but it's best to do this now rather than wait and have something bad happen," the doctor said as he drew my blood, the prickling of a needle in my skin making me wince. "Stay still," the doctor said soothingly, Zack watching closely, his presence soothing me as I calmed myself. He took three than told me to lay down on the makeshift bed, my breath speeding up a little. "Did you drink anything before this?" the doctor asked as he pulled up my shirt, the sudden movement unsettling me but I tried to stay calm, nodding my head yes. "How much?" he asked, Zack answering for me as I took in a sharp breath when he poured some freezing gel like substance onto my stomach. "We usually have our patients drink more than that but we see what we can do for now," the doctor said as he pulled out a microphone looking thing, putting it to my stomach and moving the gel around before bringing it to my belly button, looking closely to the screen. He moved it around some before bringing it close to my pelvic area, pressing down a bit.

A heartbeat. I gasped as the doctor looked bewilderingly at the screen, Zack moving closer to look at it too. A steady heartbeat rang throughout the room, tears I couldn't explain burning my eyes, the sound like church bells to my ears as i put a hand to my mouth, staring unbelievably at the screen. I could see only black and white blobs but it I could still see the small head, the tiny arms that moved slowly, the legs that were curled into it's small stomach. A baby. Oh my god it was a baby. Tears fell down my temples as the Zack actually smiled with a laugh, looking to me excitedly. "So much for being a guy huh?" he teased, but his smile quickly fell as he noticed my tears.

"I'm pregnant?" I asked in a small voice, those words snapping the doctor out of his trance. "I don't see how it is possible, but yes Cloud, you are about 38 weeks pregnant right now," the doctor replied pressing a finger to the screen. "And there's a penis, so it's a boy. Do you see it?" he asked, moving back a little so I can see better, a small smile touching my lips. "How is he supposed to give birth?" Zack asked, making a weird hand movement towards me. "He has no vagina," Zack pointed out, the doctor nodding his head. "We could give him a C-Section but he does have a uterus and I bet my career it's connected to his anal cavity. The sudden vomiting and diarrhea would explain it. His intestines and other organs are being pushed back to accommodate the baby, so he would be able to deliver naturally. Though I'm surprised he has not died from this by now, this is a very serious case-" "And you are not going to tell a living a soul unless you wish to have your head severed from your shoulders," Sephiroth's deep baritone voice replied, my eyes darting to the door. He stood by the slightly crack door, closing it behind him as he met my eyes before quickly looking back to the doctor.

The doctor gaped, sweat trickling down his temple. "That would take some loops but if Shinra is requesting it to be private, I will keep this classified," the doctor said shakily, the threat scaring him into silence. I smiled with a sniffle. I think Sephiroth's presence alone had silenced him. He could be intimidating sometimes. I looked back to the screen, the stead rhythm of the heartbeat still loud in the room. I looked to Sephiroth who merely stood there, his eyes glued to the screen. I had no idea what was going on, but at that moment as I stared at my baby on the screen, nothing else mattered. We made an appointment for when I should come in and the doctor checked to see if his thesis was true, indeed finding a path that lead to my uterus, though Sephiroth who stood outside the room when he did so wasn't to happy about. I didn't know what he was thinking but the way he held me when we got home that night and the hand that never left my stomach, I had a feeling his thoughts weren't to leave, but for the first time in his life, he actually wanted to stay.

Note: I wanted his pregnancy to be known before he gave birth so they wouldn't have to go to Hojo. I would kill him first before he could even lay his eyes on their child. Cloud's giving birth soon! eeeeeeeee! Omg i'm so happy! I feel like it's me whose about to give birth lol when I was writing about the part when he first heard the heart beat and saw it, I was about to cry myself. I don't know, maybe being pregnant isn't all bad... Ha! Just joking!
