A/N: I'm sorry! I LIED! This is not the last chapter. Sorry. I didn't want to rush this chapter for the cutesy ending so I am adding to it and it will be more of an epilogue than anything else. It WILL be the LAST chapter, promise. Hopefully I will get my new story up by the end of this month. If I can't it will be up for sure by the first week of January. Thank you all for the reviews, follows and favorites you truly make my day :)

"My, my Jane. You are quite mouthy this time…I like it." Charles Hoyt smiles his wicked smile as he lightly trails the scalpel he is holding down the side of Jane's face. "She means more to you than I realized…if I would have known that I may have brought her here to witness me killing you."

"I don't care what you do to me, if you lay a hand on her I will kill you myself!" Jane screams and she can feel the words tear at her throat, burning it.

"Now Janie, how will you kill me when you will already be dead?" Jane hears the other man laugh. "I have half the mind to keep our little game going and let you go, so you can live while I kill the lovely Dr. Isles. BUT my time is short on this earth. You see Jane, you know I have cancer and my dying wish is to kill you before I go."

Watching Hoyt speak, Jane can see that Hoyt and his medical files are right; the man looks thinner and frailer than before. The sight gives her hope that this time she can take him on her own; she would need to separate Hoyt and the apprentice.

"Dr. Isles? Maura!" Frost screams at the blonde to grab her attention. After reviewing the video footage from the hospital the only lead the team had was that Jane was in a blue van. It has only been two hours since Jane was taken but as they sit in the office at BPD, Detective Korsak, Frost and Maura diligently work to find a lead to get back Jane. Snapping out of her thoughts the blonde looks to the young detective, "Have you found anything?" He asks her before adding, "We have nothing!"

"No, after her first run in with Hoyt, all I can think of is what he could be doing to her. I ju—" The doctor trails off and the two other detectives watch as her eyes become blank.

Her eyes crack open and the little light there is scorches her watery eyes. She takes a moment to regain her bearings, when she tries to sit up she feels the cold sturdy metal hugging her wrists. Her stomach retches when she hears the laughter erupting from her very own boogieman. When he speaks, hatred and fear fight for dominance over her body. At once all is forgotten when the thought of her love, the person she is here for, bursts through the fear. That's when her mission is clear…save Maura. The battle for mental power between her and Hoyt ensues as she tries to learn where Maura is being kept. When a second man enters she can see the landscape behind him…she recognizes it from her time as a patrol officer…West Roxbury. If she can do something about these two and find Maura she could definitely get them to safety. But in moments her determination is gone…crushed. It is when Hoyt informs her that he doesn't have Maura that she feels all hope lost, how could she be so stupid? She was going to let Maura down yet again because her feelings for the blonde have blinded her. She needs to get out, get out and go home to Maura and Lina…her family.

Detective Korsak watches the blonde for a few moments before worry sets in, "Dr. Isles? Are you okay?" He asks the doctor but looks to Frost for help. Both men come up to the woman and just as the older detective goes to lay his hand on Maura's shoulder the blonde's eyes registers recognition once again.

"I know where she is…I know where Jane is."

"WHERE?" Korsak presses his hands on the blonde's shoulders. "Where Maura?"

Maura wipes the tears from her face, resolving that she will have time to cry when she finds Jane and brings her home. "Where she was a beat cop…West Roxbury."

"How do you figure?" Frost looks skeptical as he questions how Maura has come about this information.

"There isn't time to explain, he has an apprentice and they will kill her." At this Maura stands and drags the detective by his sleeve out of the department.

Hoyt violently grabs Jane and drags her out of the back of the van throwing her to the ground. When she lands her lungs explode as she slams into the dirt-lined road, it takes her some time to get control of her breathing. It's time that Hoyt cannot wait for, so grabbing her by the collar he drags her through the dirt. She can feel the elements tear at her clothing, the gravel gnawing at her back and hands like the hounds of hell. She scrambles to free her mind and think of a way out of this torture.

Digging her heels into the dirt, Jane slows the process a bit and winds the sickly man. "Grab her! She is making this difficult now and I don't have the energy to do this." Charles Hoyt screams at the apprentice and as he does blood spews forth from his efforts.

"Hoyt, you're dying and you will never get to enjoy this like you could have." Jane smirks as she speaks. It is her last attempt to get under Hoyt's skin and delay where they are taking her. "It wont be as you pictured, having him carry me and not yourself, he's going to kill me and you can't because you are weak!"

"SHUT UP! SHUT UP, SHUT UP!" The man chokes out as he comes to his knees next to Jane's head. "I could kill you right now! But it wouldn't be right…I want you to suffer like I did in that jail!" He growls as he grabs two fist full's of Jane's hair and before he can do more Jane head butts him, "Yeah, but you had to use Maura to get me here because you couldn't do it yourself!" And with the commotion, Jane slams her thumb into the ground and breaks it freeing her right hand from the cuff. Straddling Hoyt, she slams the cuff that is still hooked to her left hand into his face. The scalpel Hoyt had pulled out goes flying. The brunette can only see red and she doesn't know if it is from the blood or rage that comes from within her.

Raising her hand up for one more blow to Hoyt's face, Jane feels the force come from her right side as the apprentice slams into her, picking her upwards and then back down into the ground. It's the second time in mere minutes that she is slammed on her back and she is sure that this time a rib is broken. The apprentice pulls out her service weapon and shoves it into her face.

"DO IT! I bet Hoyt wouldn't take kindly to you killing me."

The last thing Jane sees is the grin upon the man's face as she feels the butt of her own gun slam into her head.

"Do you even know where you are going?" Frost asks more annoyed that he cannot rely on his technology, than on Maura's fragile attempts to keep the car in motion. "I can feel she's close."

"Maura we can't go on feelings when it comes to Jane's life. We should have stayed and worked out a plan." Korsak speaks from the backseat. "The first time I found Jane that was by chance. I don't think we can get lucky twice."

"I know that this seems quite bizarre, but we are close…and detective, I don't believe in luck, I believe in what I have with Jane." Maura turns in her seat to look the older man in the eyes. "I was meant to save Jane, just as she saved me. I know I can find her. My heart can feel her."

And with that, the blonde turns to face the road before her and looks to any kind of structural marker that can lead her to what she saw in Jane's memories.

"Why did you do that?" Hoyt grabs the gun from the other man's hand. "You messed up the plan. We only have a certain amount of time and now she is passed out."

"She was out of control and it was all I could think to stop her."

" I obviously didn't train you right or you just didn't listen closely. So, what one is it did I train you poorly or are you incapable of learning?" Hoyt narrows his eyes as he asks the question.

The man looks guiltily at Charles Hoyt before he opens his mouth to speak, "I was stupid, I'm sorry…I guess I wasn't lis—"

The apprentice doesn't finish his sentence as Hoyt lifts the weapon and pulls the trigger, shooting the man in the head and killing him instantly. "There will be no one as good as I am." Throwing the gun on the ground, Hoyt walks the short distance to the ditch where Jane and his tools are set up.

"Right there!" Maura calls out as she sees the undeveloped land behind an abandoned building. "She's there!"

Frost swerves the car and barely misses the oncoming traffic. Radioing in the location he slams the car to a stop. "Stay here, when everything is settled we will come and get you." Frost demands as he exits the car.

"I will not!" Maura gets out as well, throwing her heels off ignoring the pain from the gravel on the ground. "That is Jane over there and she would not sit in a car if the roles were reversed. Even if she wasn't a cop she would be right there with you helping you get to me."

"Fine." Korsak pulls a spare weapon from the car and hands it to Maura. "Don't get me in trouble for this."

"And stay back behind us." Frost says as he pulls his own weapon out.

"Nice to see you again Janie." Hoyt smiles as the brunette's eyes open. "It's time." He says as he pulls out a knife. "You'll have to excuse me, I seem to have misplaced my scalpel…so I'm going to have to use this knife. It means sloppier work and more pain but it will be just as fulfilling."

Between the pounding headache, broken bones, and the raw feeling at her back, Jane can't even comprehend the words Hoyt has said until it is too late. It takes only a second for her mind to realize that Hoyt is dragging the knife down her shoulder, to her breastbone. Screaming out, Jane can see the blinding light behind her eyes. She looks around as they vanish and a smile creeps to her face.

"You made a huge mistake Hoyt. You thought Maura would make me weak…it may have worked for a moment…but you see we are connected in a way you can't imagine. Together we cannot be broken…we save each other…she brought them to save me." Holding out her hand Jane points in the opposite direction as Hoyt's eyes follow he can see the three forms of the people approaching. "Game over Hoyt…I win." Jane laughs as she sees the defeated look fall upon Hoyt's face.

"NOOOOOO! NO!" Hoyt screams as he lifts the knife and plunges it into the brunette's stomach. Jane can hear the shots ring out and she can feel the body that was above her fall upon her.

"Jane!" She hears the blonde call for her and she tries to answer but the words get lost in her throat. "Jane, hold on. You're going to be just fine okay. Hold on…hold on for Lina…for me…hold on for me."

And Jane tries to hold on, but the pull to let go is stronger. All she wants to do is end this pain. The brunette reaches out to Maura, "I love you." She whispers and to Maura the words come out in a hiss of air. "JANE!" She screams at her. "SOMEONE GET ME MY MEDICAL BAG!"

Jane was always told that when a person dies, they see their life flash before their eyes. And for Jane, she thinks of how grateful she is when instead of seeing her life she sees the blonde's. She sees all of it. Moments that Maura had never talked about, the blonde's weakest moments, her strongest, her most loved. And Jane is so happy to see this before she dies that she feels that she can leave this world knowing all she could about the woman she loved.

In the time she was waiting for the ambulance, Maura had noticed that Jane was losing too much blood for her to make it to the hospital in time. Grabbing what she could from her bag she had worked diligently to make something to give Jane an impromptu blood transfusion.

"Is that sterile Dr. Isles?" Frost asks as he remains with his hands on Jane's stomach, applying as much pressure as he can.

"No." Maura simply states, "but this is the best I can do to keep her alive. I know we have the same blood type and she needs blood so I'm…doing…the best I can." The last of her words come out strangled and low. Pushing the needle into her arm and then to Jane's she watches the dark red flow through the clear tube.

"WHERE ARE THE AMBULANCES?"

"I can hear them now Dr. Isles. They'll be here." Korsak says with such conviction that for a moment Maura can hear the ambulance too but as moments pass she knows that when they do show up it could very well be too late.

Again don't worry; I don't make sad rizzles so the cliffhanger isn't going to be bad. I have the ending planned but I was wondering if you guys have any thought on if you want the two ladies to keep their connection with memories/feelings or if you want it to end and they can be "normal"
