Well, here's part two! Don't go around thinking that I'm favoring StormxRaven and her OCs, it's just the fact that the chapter would have ended up being really long (and there hadn't been an update in weeks D:). Enjoy their date! Also, I've been reading through my old chapters, and I'm finding SO many typos. Sorry 'bout all of that! FYI, this part is told from Ravenpaw's POV, so I'm not giving anyone a double chapter. Just to be fair!
I have to resist the urge to sigh in relief as I walk in to the restaurant with Stormpelt. I've finally gotten a date! With the she-cat I like! It's so cool! I wish I had some shades right now... that would be even cooler! But I'm too shy for that...
"Would you like a table?" The server asks us. I nod, and he leads us to one that looks out over the lake. "You got a good one," He whispers in my ear, clearly talking about Stormpelt. He also winks at me. Creep...
"Wow! This place is really nice!" Stormpelt exclaims, a wide grin on her face. "What are you going to have? I think the fish looks good!"
My eyes scan the menu for the fish she's talking about. "It looks pretty good, but I like mice more."
"Everyone's different!" Stormpelt laughs, looking into my eyes. I'm surprised it doesn't feel awkward, as most first dates do. Not that I know, of course... this is my very first one. "So... why don't you tell me about your family?"
I freeze. No cat has asked me this before, and it's a bit of a sad story... I don't know if I should tell her; I've never told anyone. Ever. Only once was I forced to say, but I lied about it then, so it doesn't count. Right? I don't care, I have to stall. "H-how about you tell me about yours?"
Jeez. That was lame. Hopefully I didn't mess this up.
"Sure, if it makes you feel better!" She smiles, not looking angry at all. Thank StarClan. I'm barely listening to her, and I feel a little bad about it, but I'm a bit freaked out. I've chosen to ignore my past. To... forget it, almost. It still comes back to me, in my dreams. It's nothing compared to some others, but I don't care. I don't speak about it, and I hope that I never will.
"Well, that's me! Why don't you tell me what's going on?" She pries. "Come on, don't you be scared; I don't judge."
"Well, it's not very happy, and-"
"Aw, I'm sorry!" She interrupts. She does not stop talking, does she? That's good; I never talk. "It might feel good to let it off your back!"
Stormpelt has a point. Why does she have to be so smart? "Okay, I'll tell you. But I'm gonna be a terrible storyteller; I've never told anyone."
"Don't be scared! Now tell me, Ravenpaw."
"Okay..."
"When I was a kit, my parents dies 2 moons after I was born. I have no siblings, not other family. I had no where to go, but to my neighbor's den. His name was Tigerclaw. His parents loved him too much to see the flaws he had. He would scratch me, bite me, claw me until I bled. No one did anything to stop him. And his friends, they were even worse. I almost died once or twice, and threatened to kill me if I told any cat of what they were doing. At school I was an outcast, because I was smart, shy, and different. I had 2 friends. Their names were Graystripe and Firestar."
"Woah, hold the phone. Tigerclaw bullied you? Oh, Wildblaze is gonna be mad when she hears this!"
"Your food is here," The waiter interrupts. StarClan, can't a guy finish telling his life story to his girlfriend?!
"Enjoy!" The waiter lays our plates on the table. They look very good. Stormpelt nods at me, and I continue.
"If not for them, I would have just ran away long ago. They kept me happy, and protected me. I owe them my life. Tigerclaw never stopped, and it eventually got so bad, Firestar and Graystripe helped me to run away."
Pausing, I see that Stormpelt has this sad look on her face. I hope I'm not making her depressed. I do that sometimes... "I'm sorry, I can stop. Should I stop talking and let us eat?"
She shakes her head. "No, continue. I should know everything." She takes a bit of her food, and I can tell she's forcing a smile.
I nod. It practically tears my heart out to see her sad because of me, but... I'll do as Stormpelt says.
"I escaped to a farm far away from here. There were kind cats there, even though there were some battles to be fought. But in the end, I knew I had to come back. I needed to see my friends, even if it meant getting bullied. Plus, the farm made me stronger, and I thought I had a chance standing up to Tigerclaw. As it turns out, I was correct. He still puts me down every one and a while, but it's nothing I can't take. It's mostly just
With huge eyes that seemed to sparkle, Stormpelt gave me the cutest, most adorable look I have ever seen. I have to resist the urge to purr.
"Oh, StarClan! How has no one ever noticed? I promise, I'll never let anyone hurt you!" Then, she leaned in close to my ear. "I really do like you, y'know." She giggled a tiny bit, and pressed her nose against my cheek.
It felt to me like I immediately turned tomato red; my face was burning! That just made her laugh more.
"Stop that..." I mumbled, even though I was secretly enjoying it.
"Hehe! Let's eat; then there's chemistry to be completed... I hate science, even though I'm good at it."
I nod, and take a bite of the mouse I ordered. It's easy to see why this restaurant is top-rated in the Clan Cuisine. It's the best cooking magazine around, and they rarely rate restaurants any higher than a 3 out of 5.
Stormpelt starts talking about her friends, and then I tell her about mine. It goes back and forth like that until it's time to pay. We leave, we go to her dorm, we study, we say goodbye. It was probably one of the best nights of my life, with her cracking jokes, us dancing around to her CDs (she has, like, a million!), and having a great time.
Now I just have to wait until our next date.
xXx
Ravenfeather: So our next date is the big dance, right?
ThunderAndLightning: Yep! Remember: formal attire!
Ravenfeather: Got it. Can't wait! 3
ThunderAndLightning: 3
