What exactly did the matchmaker think?
Fa Mulan. Just the name makes me want to throw myself off of a mountain and into the middle of an army advancing. I think I might be the only one besides some old men that like to play checkers in the square. Oh I remember her alright I don't think anybody will forget her name for a long time. Some say she'll make the scrolls for years to come.
She's not bride material: too skinny, patchy skin, speaks out without permission, probably won't give her husband sons, and not to mention a CROSS DRESSER. She actually passed as a man in the army for a while there...
First the mustache, then tea ceremony, sets my butt on fire. What makes her think that she could come back here and make an embarrassment of me yet again!?
"Ma'am there is a young man here looking for a match," said my assistant Ming whom I have hired after the "incident." I rub my temples taking a deep sigh. Hopefuly this one had a personality.
Suddenly a man that could only be who I thought it was. General Shang. He was the one that actually trained that wrench.
"General!" I cried oh I could find him a wonderful girl. One that wasn't clumsy, could bear him sons...
Then as if my ansectors seemed to hate me. Fa Zhou had shown up with him. No I will not approave of General Shang with that Mulan girl! At first I was angry that they would think that I would even consider it. They just want to personally try to handle it because that girl couldn't do it at all. I am the one that is suppose to approve of the marriage!
"Hello Matchmaker Song Meilin," said Zhou greeting me all friendly. I know why they are here. The gerneral was obviously smitten with the girl he had trained. Zhou wanted to see his daughter uphold family traditions.
"Yes," I automattically said. I thought about it for a moment before deciding that it would be best for them to marry. Namely because she wouldn't come back to see me ever again. I only wish the general luck.
