(Dave's point of view)

It's strange the way things change. I can remember just a few years ago thinking just how much I hated Erin Strauss. She was nothing but a pain in everyone's side. There was passion there though. Even when we argued it was passionate.

The first date was awkward to say the least. I wasn't sure there would even be a second date. Before that our relationship had been purely physical. Then the next thing I knew I fell hard. Next her family became my family.

"Dave you asked me to gather everyone. What's going on?" Aaron asked.

"Let's go in." I said.

"Rossi what's up?" Derek asked.

"Well I decided something and I thought my family should know. I plan to talk with Melissa, Amber, and Garrett also." I said.

"Okay come on Dave." Aaron said.

"I am planning to ask Erin to be my wife." I explained.

"Mrs. Rossi numbered four huh?" Derek asked teasingly.

"The fourth and last." I responded honestly.

"Rossi you do know the divorce rates for someone who has been married multiple times?" Reid asked.

"Yes and I know its right. She's right for me." I answered.

"I'm happy for you Rossi." Emily said smiling.

"I am too Dave." JJ said.

"Have you bought a ring yet?" Penelope asked smiling brightly.

"What do you think?" I asked them revealing the ruby red ring that was surrounded by small diamonds.

"Wowzer." Penelope exclaimed.

"Very nice." Derek said.

"When are you planning to ask her?" Aaron asked me.

"Next weekend if we don't catch a case." I answered.

A few days later I went to see Garrett. He seemed to already know why I was there. He let me sweat a little. Then he said yes I could marry his Mother. I promised him I would take care of her.

The visit with Amber went much easier. She just laughed. She said yes I could. She also told me I already loved her Mother more than her Father ever did. Then she hugged me and officially welcomed me to the family.

I have to say asking Melissa well was the easiest. I didn't even have to ask. She had already found out. She just asked to see the ring. Then she asked to help me plan the night.

"Where are we going tonight?" Erin asked.

"Just up to the cabin Bella." I answered.

"Is there a reason that we are just going for tonight?" Erin asked.

"No just that Garrett and Amber will be here tomorrow." I said.

"Okay well I have my over night bag so we can go whenever." Erin said.

I made Chicken Cacciatore, garlic bread, and a chef salad. Erin wanted to help. I quickly refused. I gave her some sparkling cinder and told her to relax. Then I put on some soft music.

We talked a little as we ate. I tried to stay calm. Suddenly the ring felt heavy. I started to worry. What if she said no? What if I scared her off? What would I do without her?

"Would you like to dance?" I asked extending my hand to her.

"I would love to." Erin answered with a warm smile.

"This is nice." I commented.

"Yes it is." Erin said.

"I would love to dance with you forever." I said seriously.

"My feet might get tired." She teased.

"Erin I want to spend the rest of my days with you beside me." I said.

"David what are you doing?" She asked as I pulled away.

"Erin I love you. I want my future to be with you." I said softly.

"So do I." She responded.

"Will you do me the honor of being my wife?" I asked as I showed her the ring.

"Are you serious?" Erin asked confused.

"Yes." I simply answered.

"You want me to be your fourth wife?" She asked still in shock.

"I want you to be my last wife." I said.

"I don't know." She said shaking.

"Oh Erin come here." I said trying to take her back into my arms.

"I just don't know if I can." Erin said running out of the cabin as I ran after her.
