Cindy

(Erin's point of view)

Is he crazy? Did David seriously just ask him to marry me? Does he really want me to be his fourth wife? What will happen at work if it doesn't work out? What about the kids?

I felt conflicted. I do love David. I do want to be with him. I just don't want to get hurt. I don't want to hurt him either. Nor do I want our family to be hurt.

"Erin, Erin where are you?" David yelled into the cold night air.

"I'm here." I answered quietly.

"Bella oh please come back in the cabin." David said.

"Okay I guess." I said knowing I couldn't escape into the darkness.

"Let me get you some tea to warm you." David said as we got back into the cabin.

"Thank you." I responded.

"You're welcome." David said.

"I love you David." I said hoping that would help us.

"I know you do as I love you. What I don't know is why you ran?" David questioned.

"I'm so frightened." I admitted.

"Oh Erin." David said in almost a whispered.

"I love you so much. If I ever lost you I'd be lost." I said as I started to cry.

"I know I have a bad track recorded." David said looking ashamed.

"It's not just that." I said.

"What is it then?" David asked seeking answers.

"What if this doesn't work out? How will we be able to work together? How will this affect your team? How would be kids be without you?" I questioned rambling a bit.

"We don't have to get married. We do have to talk and we need to be clear on some issues." David said.

"What do you mean?" I asked not understanding.

"Erin I love you and our family. No matter what happened I will always love you. I also respect you. I would never endanger our jobs or the team. And I could never abound those kids." David promised.

"Bella I don't think this is actually about me." David said.

"Then who is it about?" I asked angrily.

"Sweetheart I don't know why Howard left you or the kids. All I know is you are my family. No one can take your place." David answered.

"I trust you. David I do want to marry you. I want our family complete." I said.

"I'm going to ask again." David said.

"Okay." I said smiling at him.

"Erin I love you. I want you to be my wife. Will you marry me?" David asked again showing me the beautiful ruby ring.

"Yes I will marry you. I'd be honored." I said as he slipped the ring on my finger.

David kissed me deeply. I was smiling. I could feel happiness through out my body. David explained to me how he talked to the team and the kids. I now knew why we needed to be home the next day. I was sure our house would be full. They would all want to know my answer. I felt bad for putting David through so much.
