When Kagome crawled into her bed she had the nagging feeling that someone was watching her all through out the night. When she finally did fall asleep, she only dreamt of snake like eyes watching her every movement.

After what had seemed like eternity, her alarm clock went off and she slammed her hand on the snooze button and sat up. Her heart was pounding. She shook her head and gathered her clothes and took a hot bath. Once she got out and dressed she went in the Kitchen and started making pancakes. Naruto came into the kitchen half asleep and peeked over her shoulder.

"Morning," Kagome greeted him.

"Good morning, Kagome," he yawned and sat at the table and waited. Soon a pile of pancakes were sitting in front of him. By that time he was wide awake and wolfing down the pancakes like there was no tomorrow. She smiled and enjoyed her pancakes. When she was finished she took both their plates and washed them.

"What do you have planned today Naruto?" She asked sitting back down across from him.

"I'll probably try and get a mission from grandma Tsunade," he shrugged.

She didnt say anything else and before she knew it noon was approaching.

"I have to get going now. Im supposed to be meeting Jiraya at the ramen stand soon. See ya later," she leaned over gave him a friendly Kiss on the cheek and left. His face was as red as a tomato. Naruto reached up and touched the spot where she had kissed him and smiled before heading out as well.

It only took her a couple minutes to get to Ichirakus. She went inside and there he was sitting on one of the stools with Kakashi.

"Good afternoon Jiraya, Kakashi," she greeted and took a seat in between the two.

They both nodded their heads, ordered some ramen, ate their ramen and all three went to one of the training grounds.

"Ok Kagome, first things first. Ninja rankings," Jiraya started, the three took a seat beneath one of the trees.

"The first would be academy students. They are mostly kids of young age who hope one day to become a ninja. They do not go on missions, instead they are taught the basics of being a ninja such as performing basic skills and techniques. In prder to graduate these students have to pass a special test. The is not easy and many students find that they are unable to pass it. You follow me so far?" He explained. Kagome nodded and waited for him to continue. Instead Kakashi did.

"The lowest rank of the ninja would be Genin. Each Genin has a jouni instructor that that helps train the Genin to become better. Genin dont go on mission a lot, they train like the academy students. When Genin are assigned a mission, its mostly laboring work," They paused as Kagome processed this information.

"So laboring work is basically like chores correct?"she asked.

Kakashi nodeed, "Yea. Sometimes they have to pull weeds, walk someones dogs, catch a missing cat and so on."

She nodded once more.

"The next would be a Chunin. In order to become a Chunin, a Genin must be nominated by their teacher and then pass a special test that tests a ninja's mental and physical strength. Becoming a Chunin is not easy as many ninjas have died taking the Chunin exams. Once a Genin becomes a Chunin, he or she will have a wider range of missions they can perform, such as combat and assassination missions."

Kagome nodded her head.

"The next two are ANBU and the Kage. The ANBU is not a real ninja rank, but a special group of ninjas that operate under the command of his or her village's kage. ANBU members wear animal masks that represent animals of the Zodiac. It also helps protect their identity and includes fear. They perform extremely dangerous missions and usually have a really short life expectancy.

"Wait an ANBU. Member... Lady tsunade mentioned that umm...what was his name... Oh yes, she mentioned that Itachi Uchiha was an ANBU member," she smiled in triumph when she remembered his name but her smile quickly fell when she looked at Kakashi and Jiraya.

"Yes Itachi was indeed an ANBU and very skilled. He graduated at an early age and became a member at an early age as well. he left and joined the Akatsuki, which isn't a good thing because he is very powerful and very dangerous," Jiraya explained giving her a stern look. She gulped in fear of what might happen if she ever came across him.

"Anyway," kakashi began, "Onto the last one which is the Kage. The kage is the highest rank for a ninja. Each village has one Kage who acts as the village's leader. Usually Kage's are one of the strongest, if not the strongest, ninja in his or her respective village. They are responsible for making all the important decisions for the village and also for the well being of the village's inhabitants. Kage's are also hand picked by the previous Kage of the village," this was how Kagomes days went. Kakashi and Jiraya explained what chakra was and how to use it. Jiraya showed her his rasengan and Kakashi showed her his Chidori. She liked the Chidori better that the rasengan for some reason. They then explained two well know blood lines: the byakugan and Sharingan.

"So only the Uchiha clan had this Sharingan?" Kagome asked.

"Well there was one other person who has the Sharingan who isnt an Uchiha," he said smiling at her. She tilted her head slightly to the side and gave him and Jiraya the most innocent look they had ever seen. Jirayas nose had started to bleed so he excused himself.

"Who," she asked.

"That would be me," Kakashi stated.

"Is that why you have your headband over your eye," she pointed out.

He nodded, "Yes. Since I am not from the Uchiha clan it takes more energy and chakra out of me. It was actually given to me one year on my birthday when my teammate was dying...," he said trailing off.

"Oh...im sorry," she muttered.

"Back to lessons," he smiled beneath his mask as Kagome let out a groan of frustration.

"Don't worry this is the last," he said. She gave out a sigh of relief.

There he explained all about genjutsu taijutsu and ninjutsu. She was actually interested in those.

"Finally!" She exclaimed standing up and stretching her tired muscles.

"Come one i'll treat you to some ramen," he said and lead her to the ramen stand.

Once there and once they had ordered she looked at Kakashi.

"Say, Kakashi. What did you think of Naruto and his team when you first met him," she asked.

"Well my first impression on them was that they were idiots. Naruto was a joke always complaining about how lame the missions were and pulling pranks on people. Sakura, she was smart, and still is, but her infatuation with Sasuke got in the way. That and she didn't like Naruto at all. Sasuke was more...isolated from the rest of the team. However He seemed to have some form of connection with Naruto. They became best friends and rivals and always competing against each other," he explained and smiled at the memory of team 7.

"I see..." She said and then their food arrived and Kagome instantly dug in. She glanced to her side to see Kakashi already finished and setting his bowl down.

She looked at him with wide eyes.

"What?" He questioned after seeing her look.

"That was fast..." She said in awe.

He smiled at her again and they finished and he pain and walked her home.

"Thanks again Kakashi. For everything," she said.

"No problem," he waved goodbye as she closed the door.

He leaned against the house for a moment with a hand over his wildly beating heart before walking home.
