Once again the Sasuke and his group was traveling to the hideout. Kagome was over her mental breakdown about her tests. It was rather quiet which was strange because someone was always talking. Kagome seemed to be lost in thought and when Sasuke stopped she ran right into him.

"S-sorry Sasuke," she said and rubbed the back of her head in slight embarrassment.

"Sasuke, someones coming!" Karin stated.

As if on cue none other than Kakashi, Sakura and Naruto appeared.

"Sasuke!" Sakura yelled.

He said nothing. He only stood there his eyes as cold as ever.

"Kagome!" Naruto cried when he saw her peek out from behind Sasuke.

His attention snapped to Naruto. He put his hand on his sword.

"Sasuke. We have come to retrieve Kagome," Kakashi said.

He held his other hand out in front of Kagome.

"I won't allow it," Sasuke said. Kagome looked at him with wide eyes and he looked down at her. They stood there staring at each other for what seemed like the longest time.

"As I thought," Kakashi thought to himself and sighed.

"Hey Sasuke stop making goo goo eyes at Kagome!" Naruto yelled and pulled out a kunai.

Sasuke broke away to glare at Naruto.

"Suigetsu,"

"Hmm?"

Sasuke shoved Kagome into Suigetsu and ran at Naruto and Naruto at him.

"Sakura go," kakashi said. She nodded and ran at Suigetsu. He picked Kagome up and jumped backwards just as Sakuras fist connected with the ground.

"Karin, Jugo go!" Suigetsu demanded. They nodded and left.

Kakashi appeared behind Suigetsu and struck him with his chidori causing him to drop Kagome onto her rear.

"Owie," she whined and rubbed her bottom. Kakashi slung her over his shoulder.

"Sasuke!" She yelled. Sasuke glanced to over to see her with Kakashi. Naruto jumped beside him.

"Give her back!" Sasuke ordered with an icy tone.

(A/n this next part i actually dreamed about so before i already wrote this chapter a long time ago because I did not want to forget it)

Kagome was standing between Kakashi and Naruto her eyes were on Sasuke as she waited for his answer to Sakuras question.

Sasukes eyes narrowed at Sakura. His eyes drifted between her and Kagome. His sword was in front of him ready to attack if someone tried to make a move.

He though about Sakuras question. Why did he want to keep Kagome by his side? Why is she important?

Kagomes head dropped to towards the ground. This was exactly like Inuyasha having to choose between her and Kikyo. Kagome felt tears gather in her eyes. Her feelings for Inuyasha had disappeared when he attacked her. Until recently there had been a hole in her heart.

Traveling with Sasuke had filled the hole in her heart and she hadn't even realized it until their almost kiss. But she knew that his mind was set on now destroying the hidden leaf village.

Kakashi glanced down at the woman beside him. Her head was down and on the ground he saw little drops of water. He was rather shocked and confused as to why she was crying.

"Kagome," he whispered. She looked up at him. Tears streaming down her face.

"Why are you crying," he asked in a whisper so Naruto and the others could not hear.

She dropped her head once more,"Because...I know it was not meant to be."

She knew this now. She knew that her and Sasuke were complete opposites.

Kakashi sighed, "I can't believe im going to do this."

He had remembered the way Sasuke wouldn't give up Kagome the first time they had encountered him and also how she didn't struggle to get away from him. Instead when he had wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her closer, he had noticed the spark in her eye.

"Kagome," he said trying to get her attention. She looked up at him. Kakashi put his hands on her shoulders and used one hand to wipe her tears.

Sakura noticed Sasukes glare get colder as he looked behind her. She silently cheered Kakashi on.

"Forgive me," he said. Kakashi pulled down his mask and kissed Kagome in one swift movement. Kagomes eyes widened and she stood there shocked.

Sakura looked back at Sasuke but he wasn't there no more. She turned back around and Saw Kakashi with Sasukes sword pierced through his stomach and a cold glare. Sasuke then grabbed Kagome and jumped away from them.

"Kakashi sensei!" Naruto and Sakura yelled. Kakashi fell to the ground and then...

-Poof-

Kakashi turned out to be a shadow clone.

The real Kakashi stepped out from his hiding spot, "As I thought,"

"Kagome, your wrong. I can tell it was meant to be. Even though your both as different as yin and yang. Even though they are opposites they fit perfectly together," Kakashi smiled at the girl who was in Sasukes arms. She smiled back

"Thank you, Kakashi," she said.

"Come on Naruto, Sakura," Kakashi turned away.

"But...what about Kagome?" Naruto asked running in front of Kakashi stopping him in his tracks.

"Kagome is where she belongs nows," he answered walking past the stunned Naruto.
