Champions are still alive and together with Link (who can talk) and with the Princess they attempt to rebuild Hyrule. I made this story when I was younger. I'm not going to finish this but I thought I'd share. Slight PTSD and Insomnia warning. DISCONTINUED. Up for Adoption.

Breath of the Wild: Zelda immediately wants to rebuild Hyrule, but a hundred years has passed and there is no throne. She must live the life of a normal girl. Zelda decides to be a traveler alongside Link. Together they embark on their quest in a new monarch free Hyrule. Except Zelda has one thing on her mind: Does she still love Link? And if so, how does she get him to notice?

Link is moved from foster home to foster home ever since his parents died in an accident when he was 8. He is now 16, and hasn't spoken in 8 years. Deemed a trouble child, he has no hope of ever settling down or being adopted, until Gaepora takes him under his wing. Zelda and Zant are both excited to have a younger brother, but Ghirahim isn't as pleased. [GhiraLink; Foster Home AU]

He was a fighter like her sister and she was an inventor, used to being behind the scenes. That didn't stop their paths from crossing, or the two of them from getting to like each other. Through their encounters Purah had to admit she'd probably come to like Link as little more than a friend or an associate. She knew of one, very direct way to tell him that, one he'd enjoy.
