Two years prior

Lucius Malfoy had a bit of a conundrum. Being a Malfoy, certain things were expected of him, for example, marriage to a pureblooded lady. He was expected to marry a proper woman and STAY married. That had always proven to be a bit troubling for Lucius because, believe it or not, Lucius Malfoy was gay. Flaming gay. Gayer than a male model turned ballerina wearing kittens and spouting rainbows. So you see, Lucius was rather unhappy in his marriage to a woman.

Narcissa had always suspected that Lucius was, well, queer, but she never knew for certain. Until that day. That day that she found out for sure. Narcissa had been wandering around the vast manor in her spare time when she had stumbled upon a bright pink room. This was rather odd, for there shouldn't have been anything bright pink in a manor as old as the Malfoy's. She cautiously walked in and gasped as she saw what the room was for. It was a shrine to a man. To Severus Snape. The walls were plastered with pictures, portraits, drawings and more of the Slytherin head of house. What worried Mrs. Malfoy the most was Lucius, her husband. He was on his knees with his head bowed down, mumbling some random gibberish. As Narcissa tried to understand what exactly was going on, Lucius sat up, still not noticing his wife's presence and started to aimlessly stroke a picture of the potions master's face. Narcissa was utterly shocked, not because her husband was seemingly gay, but that he would chose to love a greasy, snarly git over her. She turned swiftly from the room and soundlessly stormed out.

Lucius meanwhile continued to stroke the picture as he thought up a plan to get the man of his dreams. He would have to get rid of Narcissa, that was a given. She was pretty, but she just didn't have the right...equipment. He would also have to get rid of his son, because he was just a pain in the arse. And so the plotting began.

"So, Malfoy, you wished an audience with me?" The sickly smooth voice of Lord Voldemort echoed throughout the hall.

The bowed figure of Lucius Malfoy spoke, "Yes, my lord, I have a plan that I would like to put in action."

"Yes, this plan of yours, you have spoken about it before. So tell me, Malfoy, enlighten me of this idea."

"Well, my lord, this scheme shou-will wipe out Potter."

"Is that so."

"Yes, my lord. You see, it will all start with my son..."

One hour later

"And then you will swoop-"

"Swoop?"

"I mean, my lord, you will enter the room, with Bellatrix of course, and kill Potter, Narcissa and Draco."

"You would have your wife and son killed?"

"Only to make it seem like I had nothing to do with Potter's death."

"You won't own up for this? You'd leave your lord to take all the blame?"

"You will need an outsider that is close to the ministry to get you, my lord, and Bellatrix out of Azkaban."

"I see, and please do tell how we will even get into Hogwarts in the first place?!"

"You'd take the Hogwarts Express at the beginning of the year disguised as students, my lord."

"Smart, very smart..."

"Thank you my lord, though I warn you, my lord, you and Bellatrix must stay away from Dumbledore. He could ruin the whole plan."

"Yes, yes. I'll get the big oaf, what's his name? Ah, yes, Hagrid, to distract him. The stupid giant won't suspect a thing..."

"Very good, my lord. You always have the best of ideas."

"Very well Malfoy, your plan will be put into action. But if it fails..."

"I assure my lord, it is flawless. It will not fail you my lord."

"We shall see about that. You are dismissed." With the uttermost respect, Lucius left the hall and ran to his shrine to Severus. For once, things were going his way.
