Sorry for the delay! My computer crashed out and it took me a while to get a new one. This chapter is short but I will be posting another one within the next 24 to 48 hours. I know where I am going with it at the moment and the rest of what I want to post doesn't really fit into this chapter and needs to be its own piece. Hope you enjoy! :D
— Chibs —
Guilt and nerves flooded Chibs as he walked through the clubhouse to his daughters room. He didn't know how she would react to the news that he was her father. He hoped that she would understand his reasons for what happened so long ago, that she wouldn't hate him for leaving her behind all those years ago. Either way Chibs new it was the right thing to do and that Savannah deserved to have some truths and love in her life.
"Savvy, luv? Can I come in to see ye?"
"Yeah." Her voice was sad, lonely, and it broke Chib's heart. The sight that greeted him only made the feeling intensify. there she sat, in the middle of her bed, pillow clutched to her chest as tears ran down her reddened face.
"Oh my wee girl. It's alright. Ye know 'e did no' mean it. It's me fault fer it really. I need to tell ye somethin', somethin' I shoulda told ye' years ago. Luv, ye know I've never meant te hurt ye' and that I love ye' like no other right?"
Savvy looked up at Chibs, looking far younger than her 23 years due to the sadness and tears coming from her eyes. But beneath it all he saw the love she held for him inside her heart. He sorely hoped that that love would still be there after he revealed to her the truth about where she came from.
"Ye don't hav' to tell me. I know ye love me and I know yer me real Da."
— — Savvy — —
She could see the shock all over Chibs' face. Her reveal was definitely unexpected for the Scotsman sitting in front of her. But she could also see the relief flash through his eyes. Savvy new this secret must have been killing him. She knew after seeing his face that she could never hate him for not being her father in the prior 23 years.
"Wha? But, how did ye know?"
"I heard me Ma talking to Da when I was 15. They were talkin bout Jimmy O, bout why he was really threatnin' them, why I could na talk to ye no more. They never knew I 'eard 'em talkin. I know ye think I should hate ye fer it, but I don't. I could never hate ye. I just want te know why ye left me with me aunt and uncle to raise."
She had always wondered why. Numerous thoughts had run across her mind, first that he didn't want her. That was quickly disregarded, because she new how much he loved her, from the phone calls and visits in her younger life, before Jimmy O decided to ruin her families life, only because he held a stupid grudge against Chibs.
"Yer real ma and me, we did no' love each other. We stayed together fer ye. When we found out about ye we were over the moon. We loved ye so much and ye weren't even born yet. It was a rough pregnancy. She were ill all the time, put on bedrest fer the last three months before ye came. There were complications, ye came a month early. She did na make it through yer birth. All of a sudden I was faced with the fact that I was a single parent. I was hard inta the IRA at the time, hadn't found my way te the Sons yet. I knew ye deserved better than to be raised by a good fer nothin trouble maker like me. Me brother and his wife, they were amazing people, meant to be parents but could na have wee ones of their own. So I took ye to them, told them what happened and they agreed to raise ye fer me. We ne'er told ye cause we though' it would be easier this way. I'm sorry fer ever lyin' to ye. But I knew it was fer the best."
For a few minutes it was quiet in the dorm room. No one spoke, they just sat side by side. Took the time to digest all that had been said in the last few minutes. It was a make or break moment and they both knew it. Savvy new now that she would never hold any ill feelings towards Chibs. Though she wished she could have grown up with him knowing the truth, she wouldn't have traded her parents for the world. Until Jimmy O became a problem, her life was something of a fairy tale. And for that alone she loved Chibs. Suddenly broken from her thoughts she threw her arms around his neck and hugged him tightly.
"I love ye Da."
"Jeysus girl, you've no idea how much it means ta me to hear ye say that and call me yer Da. Love ye so much me bonny lass."
— — Chibs — —
To say Chibs was happy would be an understatement. He finally had his wee girl by his side and she loved him. She called him Da. It was the single most perfect moment of Chib's life. He would remember always the first time she called him Da and told him she loved him.
"There now lass, lets talk of happier things now. Jax made me realize some things ta night and I think a club house is no place fer ye to be permanently livin' so how bout tamorrow we find somewhere fer us ta live. Jus the two of us."
"Sounds perfect Da. I could na think'a anythin' I'd like more."
"I love ya me wee girl, so damn much."
"Love ye to Da, always have."
