Note: Prompt from liulfrkeahi. TFLN: (847): Lets just say my thoughts when getting dressed this morning was "vagina friendly" options

What in the hell was she thinking? Mulan didn't have the slightest clue how to go on a date. She had been sent to Storybrooke by a curse from the Wicked Witch. Emma had broken that curse. Now she found herself starting all over. She found herself telling Aurora how she felt thanks to Emma's encouragement. She now found herself trying to figure out what the heck she should wear for a dinner date with Aurora. This was way to difficulty. Her best solution initially was to call Emma since Emma had been the one to convince her that this date was a good idea. However, she knew that Emma always wore jeans, a tank top, and a leather jacket. Mulan always wore the exact same thing, and she didn't think that would cut it for her date. So, she did the best thing she could think of. She called Regina who after some hesitation agreed to meet her at Mulan's apartment to help her get dressed.

"I owe you big time." Mulan said the second the former queen walked through the door. "I just really don't want to screw this up."

Regina felt her heart soften slightly. Mulan was so much like Emma, but she was completely different. Mulan had been hardened by her desire to prove her merit as a fighter. Emma had been hardened by a life trusting no one and trying to make it. She smiled softly at the memories of Emma fumbling over herself when they started dating. That was the only reason she agreed to help Mulan.

"Where are you going for dinner?" Regina finally asked.

"I have been told that it is an Italian restaurant. It is down the street from Granny's." Mulan answered looking distressed as she shifted through some shirts.

"Ok so you will need to dress up a little. Do you own any dresses?" Regina asked without turning. She could feel the eye roll that was sent her way from across the room. "I will take that as a no." Regina answered. "Here." She said pulling out a pair of dark jeans. Those would work. "Where did you get these?"

"Emma gave them to me." Mulan answered. "She said that you had gotten her ten pairs of the same ones, and she didn't need them all." Regina rolled her eyes but continued to look through the closet. She pulled out a dark green button down shirt with a light purple eagle on the front pocket before sifting through a few ties to get the matching one. This whole helping Mulan thing was easy considering the majority of her wardrobe consisted of Emma's clothing.

"This looks fantastic on Emma." Regina said. "I'm sure with your dark complexion you might even be able to pull it off better, but don't tell her I said that."

Mulan took the shirt and tie in her hand. "Yeah she said that you would have no problem buying her a new wardrobe after giving me this stuff." Regina turned while Mulan got dressed.

"What about shoes?" Mulan asked. The jeans fit her exactly like they fit Emma. They were snug in the backside and calf muscle. The tucked in green shirt clung to slightly muscular arms, and the skinny tie completed the outfit perfectly. Regina snapped her fingers before a pair of Emma's black boots appeared.

"Wear these. I'm sure Emma wont mind if you return them." Regina said handing them to her. "Is the child with Philip?" Regina asked. The daughter of Philip and Aurora had been born two full years ago, but they had been re-frozen in time after the Wicked Witch's curse so the child had technically just reached her forth month. Philip had been heartbroken when Aurora confided her need to leave their relationship, but things had improved over the last year as the two now co-parented Hailey without any problems. Mulan had been respectful waiting that entire year before trying to move things forward with Aurora. Her relationship with Philip was patchy, but he respected the warrior. He also understood better than anyone how easy it was to love Aurora.

"Yes." Mulan answered. "It is his weekend with her." The custody agreement had been simple. Aurora had Hailey during the week. Philip had her during the weekend. They made a point to do something as a family once a week. Mulan hoped that one day she could be incorporated into that family.

"You shouldn't be nervous." Regina said. "Dates are a formality for people who already like each other. Just be nice. Remember that you need to get to know her." Regina left a few minutes later. With flowers in hand, Mulan was ready to meet Aurora.

Her knock was hesitant. She heard shifting before the door opened to reveal Belle. "Hi." Mulan said trying to look past her for Aurora.

"She is almost ready." Belle said with a smile. It made Mulan a little bit more confident knowing that she hadn't been the only one who had to call in reinforcements to get ready for tonight.

Mulan heard a door close before Aurora came downstairs wearing a simple light blue dress. Mulan wondered if Belle and Regina's help had been a conspiracy as the blue dress matched her blue tie perfectly. "These are for you." Mulan said handing over the small bundle of red and white roses.

"They are beautiful. Thank you." Aurora answered. The butterflies in Mulan's stomach made her question this whole date idea. She finally caught her breath when Aurora turned after going to put the flowers in water. "Shall we go?" Mulan asked holding Aurora's coat open for her. She enjoyed the scent of the Ralph Lauren perfume she had gotten Aurora for the previous Christmas.

"You look beautiful tonight." Mulan said as Aurora turned to face her much closer than she had been moments before.

"You clean up nice yourself." Aurora answered with a simple smile that sent Mulan's heart rate up to about two hundred beats per minute. She willed her body to calm down. It started to until Aurora took her hand to lead them out the front door. It was a short walk, but Mulan was sure she would have a heart attack before they made it to the restaurant at the feel of the soft hand in her own. She prayed that her palm wouldn't become slick with sweat.

They were seated at a small relatively secluded table towards the back of the restaurant, and Mulan racked her brain for something to talk about.

"What is your favorite color?" Mulan asked after the waiter took their drink orders. They both had ordered a glass of wine. Mulan would only have one to take the edge off. She didn't want to be drunk for this.

"Why do you ask?" Aurora responded.

"I realized today when I was getting ready that I don't know enough about you. I know your family. I know the stories of your curse. I know what you have done, but I know little about you personally." Mulan answered.

"Purple is my favorite I think, but I love the blue of that tie." Aurora said. Mulan felt her cheeks redden with the compliment.

Mulan started to speak, but Aurora stopped her. "What is yours?"

"Green." Mulan answered.

"What has been your favorite thing about this land?" Mulan asked. Aurora thought for a second.

"I think I enjoy the television most. I know that seems strange considering the heat, air conditioning, stove, and warm water. I just really love getting caught up in the stories. I have read many books in my life, but seeing it come to life on the television really is beautiful. What about you?"

"Gyms." Mulan answered almost instantly. "Or maybe running shoes." She continued. "Running through the woods in boots was awful. Running on a treadmill in running shoes is so much better. Having Emma to work out with helps. I've never been in better shape."

Aurora laughed. "Don't I know. I had lunch with Regina last week, and we watched the two of you run back and forth across the park for about twenty minutes of it."

Mulan looked down for a second. "We knew you were watching. That is why we kept running back and forth. We usually do a loop around town."

Aurora blushed then before the server returned to take their orders. Mulan wondered why conversation was so hard, but she knew it was because of the change in their relationship status. They were on a date. They weren't just having dinner for the heck of it.

They talked about the last two years. They talked about the trivial things such as Emma's return to Storybrooke, the breaking of the curse, and Emma's realization that she was in love with the sworn enemy of her mother. They talked about Snow White and Prince Charming's son that often played with Aurora's daughter. They talked about various people in town and the upcoming opportunity to go back to the Enchanted Forest if they wanted to.

"Have you talked with Philip about it?" Mulan asked.

"Yes. We have agreed to stay here. Hailey is safer here with the health care available. She will have more opportunities, and she will not be accessible to Maleficent in any way. I think it is best." Aurora looked hesitant about her next question. "What about you?"

"If you are staying, there is no question that I am staying. I have yet to hear about anyone who will be returning to our land."

The conversation continued until Aurora was candidly talking about a television show by the name of Doctor Who that she started watching the previous week. Ruby had allowed her to log on to her subscription of Netflix, and the princess had found herself marveled by the available programs. She had only seen a few episode of this Doctor Who series, but she enjoyed it so far. "You can watch it with me if you like. We can rewatch the ones that I have seen."

It was Mulan's turn to blush then as she let herself indulge on the thought of sitting on a couch, cuddled up with Aurora while watching television.

"I'd love to." They enjoyed their dinner with a second glass of wine before ordering a dessert to share. When the server dropped it off, Mulan blushed again as she released they only had one fork.

Aurora scooted her chair closer so that their backs were to the rest of the restaurant as she picked up the fork, stabbed a bite of the chocolate cake, and held it up for Mulan to take. She did. It was delicious. Well, she thinks it was delicious. All she could really do was look into Aurora's eyes. All she could think about was the proximity of their bodies.

She let herself take the fork without thinking about it to much while she let Aurora have a bite. She gulped when Aurora's hand slid down her leg to rest on her knee.

Suddenly, her collar was too restrictive. It was suddenly to warm in that restaurant. Aurora leaned in really close letting her breath linger over Mulan's ear.

"Lets just say my thoughts when getting dressed this morning was vagina friendly options." Aurora whispered before breaking out in contagious laughter. Mulan laughed too.

"Sorry." Aurora said blushing. "I saw it in a movie."

Mulan laughed. "You don't have to apologize. I'm nervous too. I have read a thousand things on the internet about dates since asking you to go on this one."

"How about we get out of here?" Aurora asked after Mulan paid the bill.

They walked back to Aurora's apartment hand in hand. "Philip is keeping Hailey all night if you would like to come in."

Mulan barely shook her head before letting Aurora lead her through the front door. Now she was nervous. She had been here a thousand times, but this was very different. They stood awkwardly in the living room with their hands still interlocked.

"Nothing has to happen." Mulan said looking up at the beautiful woman before her.

"I've waiting a long time to be sure about what I want." Aurora began stepping closer. Invading Mulan's space with each breath that she exhaled. Mulan reminded herself to breathe. In and out. In and out. She repeated it like a mantra in her head knowing that it wouldn't help her.

"I want you." Aurora said quickly before moving forward. Her lips brushed gently against Mulan's before Mulan responded. She lifted so slightly and grinned as legs wrapped around her waist. She took the stairs gently being careful not to disturb the kiss that she knew would leave her breathless. Mulan felt Aurora's tongue tease her bottom lip. She felt the rush of emotions as her tongue met Aurora's to deepen the kiss.

As their tongues flicked together slowly and softly, exploring a part of Aurora that she had only dreamed about. She sat her down on the bed and hovered above her as Aurora moved so that her head was resting on her pillow. Mulan's deep brown eyes bore into the ones below her. Drinking it in. Memorizing the way Aurora looked in that moment so that she would never forget it.

She was brought back to the moment by her tie being loosened and removed from around her neck. Clothing was discarded slowly as fingertips took their time to touch every inch of exposed skin. She watched as Aurora shivered at each new point of contact. Every single touch more intimate than the previous.

She took in the slight of Aurora's flushed face below her as their fully naked bodies met. She felt her skin tingle every single place their bodies rested together. She felt nipples harden against her own as she claimed her princess' lips against her own again. Mulan's fingertips trailed up and down pale sides as tongues brushed gently together. They kissed for what seemed like forever but in reality was only a matter of minutes. They broke a part and came back together for every moment that they had missed in not admitting the feelings they shared for each other.

Mulan moved slowly placing gentle kisses over a flushed cheek before trailing her tongue down the path of Aurora's carotid artery. She nibbled gently as her pulse point before tracing her collar bone with her tongue to nip at her shoulder. She repeated the action on the other side getting lost in the sweet taste of her lover. She dipped her head to take a pink nipple in her mouth gently roaming the tip of her tongue over it. She sucked lightly and noted the shark intake of breath from the woman below her. She alternated between gently stroking Aurora's breast with her tongue and sucking gently on the soft breast. Her tongue never left Aurora's skin as she trailed to her other breast. She kissed Aurora's sides before trailing down to her belly button tasting every single inch of skin.

She trailed back up Aurora's body before Aurora moved until they were both resting on their sides. Aurora trailed her hands over the dark skin of Mulan's abdomen as they met for a kiss that rivaled any other.

Mulan felt fingers sliding down her belly button to the apex of her thighs. She sighed into the kiss as she felt Aurora brush the sensitive lips of her sex. She repeated Aurora's actions as she broke the kiss getting lost in the deep sea of Aurora's beautiful eyes before her.

She spread Aurora's lips with her fingertips as Aurora did the same. Her fingers were coated with the other woman's arousal as she continued to tease up and down her slick folds. She felt Aurora's fingers at her entrance. Her eyes fluttered closed as she was entered with one finger. Aurora stilled as a small moan escaped her lips as Mulan entered her. They kissed then gently before they both began to move. The pleasure shot through Mulan like fire as she watched Aurora's face change with each stroke.

Aurora's lips parted into an o shape. A soft moan escaped her lips as Mulan brushed sensitive parts of her inner walls. Mulan's concentration wavered as Aurora entered her with a second finger. She followed by adding her own finger. Movements became more erratic as they raced closer and closer to their climax. Mulan felt the fire start in the fit of her stomach. Aurora gripped on tight to her as their eyes locked again. Mulan felt her orgasm crash through her as she curled her fingers inside Aurora to send her over the edge.

Their bodies shook together as the sensation spread from their toes into their very core. She felt her body shake as it tingled. She felt the heightened sensation of Aurora's finger tips trailing across her skin as they basked in the after glow of it. She felt overwhelmed by the love that poured out of her heart as they lay their tangled together.

"I love you." Mulan said quietly. Her voice was thick with the passion she felt for the woman that had without question stolen her heart.

"I love you too." Aurora whispered. She reclaimed her lips in a soft kiss that conveyed nothing but love. It conveyed their vow to forget the past and forget the extended period of time that had brought them to that moment. Their kiss conveyed their desire to love each other with everything in their being. Mulan knew she would protect the woman before her with her life for as long as she allowed her to. She resolved to let herself love Aurora with everything she had no matter what the costs.

Aurora shifted so that her head was resting on Mulan's chest as the warrior moved to her back. She pulled the sheets up around them as Aurora's breath danced across her bare chest.

The princess fell asleep in her warrior's arms that night feeling safer than she ever had in her entire life. Mulan laid their for a while just listening to her breathe. She always thought her destiny was to fight for her land and her people. What she now realized was that all along her destiny had been to fight for Aurora. Her destiny had been to help find the princess to wake her from the curse. Her destiny had been to fall in love with the woman sleeping in her arms. Now, her destiny would be to live a life with the one she loved.

She never imagined she would feel so content until she let her eyes close that night. She woke the next morning with the princess still curled into her side with a small peaceful smile on her face. This was a beautiful beginning. Way more beautiful than any fairytale she ever heard.
