"H-h-hey Kanda." Allen whispered his voice was raspy from lack of use. Kanda just gently pulled Allen into a hug as tears that he didn't know he was shedding started to fall down his face "Took your time baka moyashi." Saying that he pulled back a bit then lent down and connected their lips in a passionate kiss, Allen mustered up enough strength to pull away slightly and muttered "Bakanda" Kanda just smirked.
They were both jerked out of their thoughts by the sound of someone clearing their throat, then remembering that Lavi was also in the room. "Baka Usagi" Allen smiled a weak smile at Lavi "Ahh Moyashi-chan that's not nice and here I was all worried about my little brother" Lavi gave his signature grin and laughed lightly. Allen just smiled and tried to sit up, Kanda realising this put his hand on Allen' back and help him sit up.
Then suddenly the doors to the infirmary burst open and in came a very tired looking Komui and Reever "ALLEN! Your awake!" Komui shouted as he walked up to the bed, Allen winced at how loud Komui was, noticing that slight movement from him Reever hit Komui over the back of the head and told him to keep it down.
"Sorry Allen-kun" Komui said apologetically, Allen smiled at him to show he was listening because he was too tired to answer vocally. Komui picked up Allen's charts and started looking at them with Reever while Kanda and Lavi helped Allen to sit up a bit and make sure he was comfortable, he winced slightly at the throbbing pain in his chest. Allen noticed the concerned looks on everyone's faces as they all looked at him "I'm fine, stop looking at me like that" he said smiling slightly, they all looked away though he knew they didn't believe a word he said.
'How am I going to break it to him, how do you tell the most active person in the Order that they are going to need help with everything they do for a while' Komui thought to himself "Uh Kanda?...Lavi? Can I talk to you for a minute?" Komui asked then while trying not to make eye contact with Allen "Uh sure, Um Reever can you hold Allen up while we go talk?" Lavi asked looking towards Reever who just smiled and nodded before walking over and swapping places with Lavi so him and Kanda could go talk.
Kanda, Lavi and Komui walked over to the other side of the room while Allen and Reever were happily chatting to each other about things "Right...well...Umm" Komui stuttered "Just spit it out already" Kanda snapped glaring at Komui who could tell all he wanted to go was get back to his lover "I will get straight to the point then, um how are we going to tell Allen that he is incapable of doing anything on his own until he has fully recovered?"
Lavi paled slightly at the thought of having to tell the white haired exorcist this information "I'll tell him" Kanda said looking at the floor "Are you sure?" Komui asked looking towards Kanda with wide eyes, "Yes I'm sure, he will probably take in the information better if it's coming from me" without another word Komui just nodded and they all walked back over to where Allen was.
When Allen spotted them walking back over he grinned widely. Kanda walked over and gave him a peck on the lips before sitting down and looking at him with a serious but concerned face. "Allen, um, Well because your injuries were quite serious" He began "Well they caused some nerve damage to your body and" Allen cut him off "Nerve damage? But I'm moving around perfectly fine" Lavi sighed "Allen what we are trying to say is that you're going to need help in everything you do until you're fully recovered."
Lavi finished, then looking up to see Allen's reaction all he saw was that Allen had a blank look on his face. "Allen? Allen are you okay?" Reever asked putting his hand on Allen's shoulder, the movement seemed to bring him out of his daze and look up at the people in the room.
"O-Okay, when can I go back to my room?" He asks suddenly 'So they are basically telling me I'm useless until I recover, that could take bloody months' Allen thought to himself while he was waiting for his answer. "You can leave now if you want to Allen" Komui told him 'I'll show them' Allen thought as he slowly moved around, he knew someone had gone to get a wheelchair so he had to move quick, well quicker than he was moving now. Allen started to shuffle off the bed and just as Lavi came back with wheelchair he pushed himself off the bed, And fell straight to the floor finding out he had no strength in his legs whatsoever.
